Blog#1 WHAT TO DO AFTER ECQ AND DURING GCQ
Patapos na yung ECQ? Tapos GCQ naman? Ano na yung mangyayare? What do you need to do?
Magpasalamat tayo sa Panginoon dahil the Lord deserves the highest praise!
Makinig sa balita! Maging aware sa kapaligiran! Sumunod sa mga tamang payo! Let us keep on spreading the Lovr and only fact!
Laging mag mask at alcohol no to kissed or touch kapag nasa labas kayo.
Pray at lagi kayong mag vitamins, work out kahit 30 mins.

[ID: a screenshot of a twitter post by @ChelDiokno reading ‘What do if your community pantry is visited by the police [THREAD]
Kung bisitahin ng pulis o ibang law enforcement agents ang community pantry ninyo, here are some tips:/END ID]
this thread is from twitter but i thought it would be pertinent to post here for anyone involved with community pantries in the PH:
If they are in uniform, take note of their names. Kung hindi pumayag, politely say that you can’t accommodate them, dahil di mo alam kung law enforcers ba talaga sila.
You might be asked to fill up a form like this.
If the community pantry is in private property, di pwede pumasok ang law enforcers kung walang search warrant, unless pumayag ang may-ari. Ask for a warrant signed by a judge; kung wala, sabihin: “Pasensya na po, pero di kayo pwedeng pumasok kung wala kayong search warrant." If the police insist, or imply that you are hiding something (“Kung wala naman kayong tinatago ba’t ayaw nyo kaming papasukin?”), assert your right.
Kung nasa public land ang community pantry, hindi kailangan ng pulis ng search warrant para pumasok—but they still need a search warrant to search the community pantry or any other private property that is on the public land. If the community pantry is on public land, make sure you are not obstructing traffic, littering, or otherwise violating any similar local regulations.
Kung hingan kayo ng business permit (also known as a “Mayor’s Permit”): sabihin na based on your understanding, hindi kailangan ng permit dahil hindi naman kayo nagnenegosyo; your only purpose is to help the needy and marginalized.
Kung hingan kayo ng barangay permit: sabihin na the DILG and Anti-Red Tape Authority have publicly stated in separate announcements na hindi kailangan ng barangay permit.
Kung hingan kayo ng authority to solicit from DSWD: sabihin na based on your understanding, required lang ang authority to solicit sa regional and national fund campaigns, at hindi ito naga-apply sa community pantry.
8. Kung sabihan kayo na you cannot continue operating because it violates IATF guidelines or regulations, ito ang sabihin ninyo: a. IATF guidelines/regulations are only recommendatory and do not have the force of law unless they are adopted by the LGU as a local ordinance. b. Even under IATF guidelines, mass gatherings for authorized humanitarian activities are allowed sa ECQ at MECQ. Since a permit is not required to operate a community pantry, and the poor are urgently in need of food, a community pantry is an authorized humanitarian activity. c. Community pantries do not violate the IATF guidelines on humanitarian activities since no permit or license is required for them to operate.
Kung subukan nilang i-demolish o dismantle ang community pantry, politely and firmly object, but do not physically resist. Kumuha ng pictures o video recording to document what they are doing. The Anti-Wiretapping Act only requires the consent of the parties kung private conversation or communication ito.
If law enforcers arrest you, or try to search you, others, or the community pantry, tandaan ang mga karapatan ninyo. You can refer to the primer made by FLAG, PCIJ, and the Foundation for Media Alternatives, which you can access through this linktree:
Kung papirmahin kayo ng kahit anong dokumento (like an acknowledgment na binisita kayo), basahing maiigi at sabihing kailangan nyo muna kumonsulta ng abogado bago pumirma. Posibleng may waiver of rights ito, and this can prejudice your right to file a case kung kailangan. Kung mapilit ang pulis, pwedeng gamitin ang non-dominant hand (halimbawa kung kaliwete, gamitin ang kanang kamay), o gumamit ng pirma other than your regular signature, so you can later explain that you were forced to sign.
You can also reach out to our FREE LEGAL HELPDESK anytime, i-message nyo lang kami sa http://m.me/cheldiokno. Mag-iingat kayong lahat, mga kakampi.

2012’s successor, quarantine life, the Philippine government, and everything else in between
To begin with, 2020 seemed dreamlike – this year was somewhat a clash of heavenly entities and hellish forces. The universe was not kind to us this time. Doing activities and routines outside were put to a halt, but with humans' confinement in their houses, it made our situation worse. 2020 has been a fast yet long year, and we may all feel that time now is linear.
Allow me to borrow a line from the 1972 film Grease: This is the life of illusion, wrapped up in trouble, laced with confusion.
Most would agree that the words above sum up the year 2020. An unfortunate series of events have taken place – from the Australian Bushfire crisis, the Iran-US conflict to earthquakes in Mindanao and the eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas – and these events have transpired in the first quarter of 2020. It seems like a frightening state to begin the year.
Afterwards, life was starting to be okay. People were adjusting with initial solutions to problems and ready to start anew, but coronavirus emerged. Reports say the first local coronavirus case struck in January – and due to a rise in positive cases, collective fear transpired in March, thus declaring coronavirus as a pandemic.
During the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in March, changes were relatively minimal since people could continue their businesses at home. But some of which lost their jobs resorted to starting food businesses or grieve because of said situation.
It's funny yet disturbing to witness that the government officials thought of matters that are supposed to be "important", but negate the needs of ordinary citizens. There were also debates about the enforcement of travel ban during the first quarter of 2020, but to our disdain, it was never taken seriously. In the end, we suffered a lot from their gambit during people exclaiming for assistance.
People get nervous each time the government transitions to the loosened GCQ. Businesses, travel, and movement imposed some restrictions, but there's the liberty of people to go out and do [unimportant] stuff. Some boomers also mentioned that this pandemic is a divine intervention, telling us to step up our faith and keep praying until we see the hope of day. So weird to think of.
As time passes by, everyone has set and bat their eyes on social media. With boredom and temporary pleasure, the rose of TikTok dance challenges has become a trend, along with experimenting DIY recipes and snacks. The creation of support and humorous Facebook groups has also been a craze, helping us cope while in quarantine by sharing memes, tips, tricks, tutorials, and advice according to members' inquiries and concerns.
Though these temporary distractions made us somewhat feel on edge, social hurdles increased such as unemployment rates. A few lucky corporate employees are compelled to the transition to work from home; and for students to continue their education online. Some were not ready for this sudden change of lifestyle as they may lack the resources and mental capacity to keep moving forward. Along with financial issues inflating, hopes and dreams feel deteriorated.
2020 did not feel the need to stop, as it delivered more than we ever expected. There is the shutdown of ABS-CBN, the demise of George Floyd, hence advocating the socio-political movement #BlackLivesMatter, and the implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Bill, as it being unconstitutional inflicted dangerous implications towards the society.
Throughout the ber months, people thought of celebrating the holidays is something we all looked forward to, yet another shooting incident caused by the police emerged. Jonel Nuezca, an off-duty police officer, shot his two unarmed neighbors, Sonya and Frank Gregorio, due to a heated discussion over right of way and the use of a boga. The untimely shooting incident emerged on social media, along with netizens expressing their protest with the acronym A.C.A.B (All Cops Are Bastards), and the hashtags #StopTheKillingsPH, #JusticeForSonyaGregorio, among others. These phenomena struck us of the social realities we ought to face.
Not to mention some of the heart-breaking deaths of celebrities this year: NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, actress and singer Naya Rivera, and YouTube vlogger Lloyd Cafe Cadena, made us feel disposable. Netizens can’t help but spit these words with spite: GRABE KA, 2020!
Once a new year has come, people always claimed that it would be their breakthrough. 2020 was the most anticipated year for redemption, but unexpected turnovers left us clueless on what’s in store for us in the following days, dominating anxiety and resentment. It is then claimed that this pandemic may change our lives forever.
People could go all night, overthinking about the simplest and pettiest stuff. With chaos going on, the utmost priority should be safety, security, and survival. One's daily routine felt timid, hence the desire to feel free again. People are now forcing themselves to perform their duties and just call it a day.
No one gets ready for a pandemic. There may be warnings beforehand, but it isn’t the ordinary citizens’ fault – it’s the government’s accountability to look after. As much as possible, I do not want to sound overly political, but the government’s incompetence affects the rise of numerous COVID cases each day – why plenty of Filipinos still suffer and plenty of then-employees remained jobless.
It’s a good thing that searching for new ways to thrive is an innate feature we acquire. However, I also do not want to glorify our resiliency, as being a Filipino is commonly construed as “resilient people.” If there comes a similar situation in the future, people should use their “resiliency” to stay at their homes, and be careful at the very least. But one thing that needs to be changed is the decision-making and planning of our government officials. The birth of our chaos came from them, so it shall end from them.
We are close to bidding farewell to 2020, yet the glimmer of hope seems far away to be achieved. Ambiguity lingers as we ask ourselves “What does 2021 have in store for us?” Are there people still looking forward for more pains and unfavorable events and perceive them as a leeway to unlock the tool of growth and our power to keep moving forward? Are we still going to settle for the bare minimum and keep our “resiliency” intact?
With all these points elaborated, this now begs the question: did the world really end in 2012? Or these unfortunate events are just unusual to us and we are, more or less, capable of taking action to undermine our demons?

Para sa mga iPhone users.
Hindi ako iphone user before, since asa lang ako sa magulang ko dati, simpleng android phone lang okay na. Yung first phone na nabili ko with my first salary, Star mobile na android phone pa, tapos cherry mobile na Flare series.
So first time ko natry mag iphone, 2015. Kasi mas organized siya at maganda yung UI niya. For me lang ha. Then now, I got iPhone XS Max thru globe plan last year.
So here are some tips based sa kung ano ginagawa ko:
First, lagi akong naka Darkmode. Settings>Accessibility>Display&Text then toggle off mo yung Reduce White Point. Kung gusto mo mas madilim pa.
Notifications. Naka on lang sakin yung kung anong apps lagi kong gamit. Lahat especially yung mga Games, Grab, Foodpanda, Shopee or Lazada laging naka off.
Location Services. Lagi lang din naka set sa “while using” lahat.
Airplane Mode. Tuwing naka charge ako, naka airplane mode ako. Off yung data, bluetooth at wifi para mas madaling mag charge.
Don’t use fake charger. Never. Haha. Check niyo yung charger niyo, baka peke yan.
Avoid fast charging and wireless or yung ibang adapdor .
Don’t charge your phone kapag mainit.
Overnight Charging.
Clear All Apps.
So ayun lang.

Time is really moving too fast despite the fact that we are in Extended twice ECQ. The first day of the new month is about to end in a few minutes. Here I am, still awake and not even have a dose of sleepiness. Since quarantine started, my sleep pattern has been disrupted badly. There were times that I would fall asleep at past two in the morning. Perhaps, it's caused by my bad habits too. I missed the taste of Milk tea and Iced coffee. But I also missed the bittersweet taste of alcohol at the tip of my tongue. I am not much of a drinker but I like to once in a while.
Surely, my thoughts when I lie down to my bed will surely be:
A. I missed talking to someone sensible. Someone whom I can share with everything under the sun, no matter how senseless they are. I missed having that go to person. I missed having someone to talk with daily. I just missed it.
B. What if I die? How does it feels like to die? Will I know if I die? What would people say if I die? Will they read my journals?
C. I am not ready to die. I am just not.
D. Until when to get back to 'normal'?
E. I missed our office but I don't want to get back to work yet because the commute will surely be a real challenge.
F. I think our office work will resume by June.
G. I am not a good person in my opinion. How do you know if you are a good person?
I will surely still be awake even after I posted this.

ECQ REALIZATIONS
Everyday is a day of learning, and we learn by actual experience. Start your day positively and end it with the same attitude.
Here are some of my quarantine days realization which I think will be beneficial to some or probably to all of us.
1. SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY.
Turn off your smart phones and start a healthy conversation with your parents pr siblings, or with your husband or kids.
Join them watch "Seven Sundays or Fireproof" or any movies that can lift and build strong-bonded relationship.
Honor and respect your parents even if you think they don't deserve it. Do it while you still can. Time is running, they're not getting any younger. Make up your mind while you still have time.
2. CHANGE
Whatever it is that hinders you in going to your next level, change it.
Change comes from within, you have to start it yourself. You cannot expect people to change if you yourself cannot do it. Remember, you cannot give what you do not have.
3. SAVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
Identify your needs not your wants. Buy only the most important things. Do not live beyond your needs. Your spending should never be ahead of your earning.
In saving, these are my tips. I really do it until now. If you have bottles or jars at home, put a label on it, one by one.
1st jar - Emergency fund
2nd jar - Educational fund
3rd jar - Bills (Water, Electricity, Interner, etc.)
4th jar - Books/Clothing (That's up to you)
And so on, so forth.
You can just put like 10 pesos everyday on every jar [depends on your earning], and you'll be surprised, as the days goes by, you have something to keep up in the drought.
But your choice if you still want to do this as I know most of us has bank accounts. For me, it is effective. It depends on your strategy, you just have to be creative.
4. ACCOUNTABILITY
It comes with responsibility and commitment. Never give up on difficult people or difficult situation. Build trust and inspire confidence.
Also, be accountable to your health. Avoid eating unhealthy foods. Have enough sleep and exercise. Avoid drinking sodas.
Most of all, always treat others better than yourself. In that way, you can be free from envious and insecurities.
BE HEALTHY, BE WEALTHY, AND BE WISE (Not in your own eyes. Be wise as serpent, but as gentle as dove)
5. GENEROSITY
You don't have to be rich to extend your hand in help to those who are in need the most. The more you are poor, the more you have to be generous (sekreto ko yan 😘).
A generous person prospers all the more because the more you give (with pure intention), the more you will receive.
6. DEVELOP YOURSELF
Read books, attend webinars, listen to podcasts, involve in toastmasters events, and always be with people who brings out the best and not the worst in you.
You may be a single mother, a wife, a widower, undergraduate or whatsoever, it won't be a limitation from developing yourself, from thinking out of the box, from thinking something you can grow or multiply. YOU HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL IN YOU. You just have to believe it and act on it.
Do not limit yourself, ask help and assistance. I am sure there's always someone in your life who is willing to lend a hand for help.
7. HUMBLE YOURSELF
If you want to be the greatest, you must become a servant.
Serve your family, serve your parents, even if let's say you're a provider. Serve those who are surround you. Just because you earn much does not mean people will bow down to you. Do not let yourself stoop down to a lowest level. Don't let the air go to your head. It's not your level. It is very sad on that level, I tell you. It's very low. Money is not always the answer and it wouldn't satisfy anybody.
8. HAVING THE RIGHT MINDSET
Whatever is your situation, be thankful. There's a reason why you are going through that journey. It's not a coincidence, it is really for you.
Always think positive. Always think you can do it. Do not surrender to your limitations, overcome it.
Every problem has a solution. Be thankful you have problems, because it would mean you have an opportunity to grow and become better. Remember that problems are the vitamins of the champions. AND YOU ARE A CHAMPION.
If you do all this, you'll be surprised you're becoming a better version of yourself.
Do not look for what you don't have. Look what is in your hands and channel it to a gteater good.
Plan carefully and ahead, but also prepare for the worst.

SARS-CoV-2
What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 also known as SARS-CoV-2 is a strain of the nobel coronavirus, it is an infectious disease that targets the respiratory system of a human being and it can spread from person to person. The first case of COVID-19 was distinguished in Wuhan, China when a investigation of the outbreak. The World Health Organization (WHO), the outbreak was declared to be a Public Health Emergency of Internation Concern in the 30th of January of 2020.
How does Covid-19 spread?
The new strain of noble coronavirus can be spread through person to perosn with or withouth contact. First the World Health Organization or WHO thought that the new strain of novel coronavirus or also known as COVID-19 is spread through airborne trasmission, but later on it was announced in the public that it is passed through Droplet Transmission. Imagine sitting in your queue in the supermarket and someone sneezes of cough, the droplets from the cough or the sneeze may not directly land at you but the droplets can spread up to 3 feet from where he or she sneezes or coughs. If his or her hands are used to cover the nose or the mouth and he or she touches the safety rails, the doorknob, and other things or places that is accessible to be touched by your and others hand.
What are the symtomps of COVID-19
The COVID-19 virus affects different people in different ways. COVID-19 is a respiratory disease and most infected people will develop mild to moderate symptoms and recover without requiring special treatment. People who have underlying medical conditions and those over 60 years old have a higher risk of developing severe disease and death.
Common symptoms include:
fever
tiredness
dry cough.
Other symptoms include:
shortness of breath
aches and pains
sore throat
and very few people will report diarrhoea, nausea or a runny nose.
People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should self-isolate and contact their medical provider or a COVID-19 information line for advice on testing and referral.
How to prevent having COVID-19?
*STAY AT HOME*(Be part of the solution, if you dont need or have anything important to do outside just stay at home and follow the guidelines that will be given)
But if you really need to go outside here are some tips on what to do.
1. Practice proper Handwashing and do it frequently.
youtube
If water and soap is available it is much advisable to wash your hands rather that just the use of alcohol. Because water and soap can kill the virus that maybe in your hands more effectively. (But when there is no available water and soap use 70% alcohol-based rub.)
2. Avoid touching your face.
Our hands touched many surfaces that we dont know if it’s contaminated or not, fight the urge of touching your face. Because when our hands is contaminated with different kind of virus and we touched our eyes, nose or mouth it can be the portal of entry of the virus to enter your body and make you sick.
3. Maintain Social Distance
You must heard or read this a lot in this time, so why do we really need to keep or practice social distancing. When someone sneeze or cough the little droplets spray from the nose or mouth can directly land on your or you can inhale it. So it is advisable to have atleast 3 ft distance from everyone not just the one who are sick but to anyone for the safety of everyone.
4. Practice Proper Respiratory Hygiene
It is most advisable now to use a Tissue when sneezing or coughing and disposing the used tissue right after you used it in a proper and enclosed trashcan or bin.
*UPDATE of COVID-19 in the Philippines as of APRIL 9, 2020*
As of April 9, 2020 the cases of COVID-19 are still rising up, everyday the confirmed cases are ranging from 100-500. Yes they say we are in the lowest cases of the new virus but it’s because our country is still not prioritizing in having a Mass Testing.
So what can you do while in the quarantine?
We are all not sure how long the ECQ of Enhanced Community Quarantine will last but as of now it is extended until 11:59 pm of April 30, 2020. But what can we do in our home.
Rather than streaming or binge watching new tv-series or K-Dramas in your room it is important to have knowledge about COVID-19 and being updated to what is happening and what are the new guidelines give to us.
Here are some things that we can do:
1. Sharing Knowledge through Social Media
But be careful not to believe everything you read on the internet, be smart and find reliable sources and STOP THE SPREADING OF FAKE NEWS.
2. Maintaning Proper Hygiene
Yes maybe we are not going outside so we think that we dont need to take a bath, the answer is NO. Stay in cleaning your body and practicing Proper and Healthy Hygiene in order to avoid acquiring other illness.
3. If you know you have the means to help others financially, DO IT.
There are plenty of ways to help and donate in this time it is not all about donating financially you can also donate basic needs and essentials to those who are less fortunate.
We are all fighting the something we cant see, but we can see how it affects our country and how many have died to it. We are all scared and thinking what will happen and when will it completely end. All we can do now is to help each other, educate ourselves about the current situations. Yes there are real life HEROES and they walk amongus, they are our FRONTLINERS who are risking their own life for the greater good of others, so dont forget to thank them during and AFTER this Pandemic.

Lamudi brings together the biggest lineup of developers with exclusive deals at Online Housing Fair
Lamudi’s survey of property seekers in the first quarter of 2020 revealed that 91% of respondents want financial help from property developers, with 46% looking for discounts, 31% for promos, and 23% interested in a smaller down payment. Responding to this need from the market, the leading real estate partner brings its housing fair online this May with not just the biggest lineup of developers, but also special deals and exclusive property discounts.
For the real estate industry, the first quarter of 2020 saw some of the hardest struggles, with the Taal volcano eruption happening in January, growing concerns about the novel coronavirus in February, and the subsequent announcement of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) midway through March.
Surveyed property seekers last year mentioned they were keeping their property buying timeframe open, with 34% considering a property purchase a year after the start of the pandemic. Monitoring property demand on Lamudi across all price points, most price segments experienced year-on-year dips in pageviews on Lamudi in 1Q2020. Demand one year later in 1Q2021 points to recovery across all prices, with high-end properties proving most resilient during a time when cash is king, while the affordable segment showed the dream of homeownership is alive amid a health crisis.
High-end properties for sale lead recovery in the residential market
The luxury market, the only segment that posted positive year-on-year growth in pageviews in 1Q2020, saw a 33.7% average growth in pageviews year-on-year in 1Q2021. Leads for the luxury segment were particularly strong in 1Q2020 compared to 1Q2019, with houses priced over 20M posting a 222% growth. This grew by an additional 18% in 1Q2021.
As the country faced unprecedented challenges which highlighted the importance of cash, those with more purchasing power took the opportunity to consider investing in real estate--a financial move advised by investors during times of crisis.
Laborers showed strong desire to own a home amid the pandemic
Even outside the luxury segment, the importance of owning a home proved strong amid the pandemic. For affordable houses for sale, properties priced less than 450K saw a 46% growth in pageviews in 1Q2021 compared to 1Q2020, posting the highest recovery rate in the affordable segment. Property seekers realized the importance of owning a home when mobility restrictions were put in place. The proximity of one’s home to essential establishments and place of employment greatly affected their mobility, comfort, and capacity to work at such a critical time.
Houses in this price range were also the second most inquired property in 1Q2020 compared to 1Q2019 at 128% growth in leads, which continued to grow by 38% in 1Q2021.
Pandemic property demand calls for safe property search at home
The interest across all price segments fueled Lamudi’s decision to bring its much-anticipated housing fair online this May. As property buyers revive their confidence in investing in real estate, the free event will help them get the best value for their money through special deals and exclusive offers from featured developers. Since 2016, Lamudi has been organizing housing fairs in various cities across the country, bringing real estate seekers closer to their dream properties. Previous housing fairs were held in shopping malls, including SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma, SM City Cebu, and Glorietta--a setup that would not be ideal in the new normal.
Seeing the demand for homeownership bounce back in 2021, Lamudi has decided to host the first and biggest online housing fair in the Philippines through a digital platform showcasing exclusive offers from property developers such as RLC Residences, AboitizLand, Federal Land, Shang Properties, Prime Homes, Solar Resources, PH1 World Developers, ACM Homes, DMCI, and PIK, as well as the real estate brokerage PropertyPro.
Sponsored by Nook, Kamada, and the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association, Inc. (SHDA), the Online Housing Fair will officially open on May 3 and last until May 31, 2021. The event’s official media partners are BusinessWorld and Mindanao Times.
The online housing fair will feature the Pag-IBIG Fund to talk about affordable housing loan programs, and Atty. Siegfrid S. Suarez, the Legal and Compliance Officer of Lamudi Philippines, to answer land title transfer concerns. Renelyn Tan-Castillejos, a Certified KonMari Consultant and the founder of World of Yorokobi, will teach attendees how to tidy and organize their homes. Clean All PH and Happy Helpers will also give valuable advice on how to deep clean and sanitize the home in the new normal, and SoFA will be sharing home interior design tips. Learn to start your own garden at home with tips from ZassyGreen - All About Plants.
A first in the history of Lamudi, the online housing fair marks a significant milestone for the company. CEO Kenneth Stern said, “For the past years, Lamudi’s housing fairs have been held in malls all over the country. Our team has been working hard to address the limitations to property buying brought on by the pandemic, which is what led to us deciding to bring the housing fair online.”
