So I happened to read ALOT of posts from @imminent-danger-came about LMK theories, including their Eldritch-Abomination MK theory. Which has led to this very rough sketch of MK if he were to lose control of his powers and have to be restrained. (With a very specific seal and chains 👀)

ok, so this theory started coming together when i rewatched the pilot with my irl friend
i've posted several times in the past about mk's powers seeming to be imagination-based. if he thinks he can do something, he probably can. (this is why it's so important for him to believe in himself- if he believes he can't do smth, he probably can't.)
but now i think it goes past that. i think that mk's powers are innate, but the way they present is imagination-based- and that the only reason they show as "the powers of the monkey king"/monkey stuff in general is bc mk identified himself with swk for so long. i dont know What i think he is but there are a few things that stand out to me.
he doesn't show Any monkey powers before lifting the staff. for all intents and purposes, he was a normal human delivery guy before discovering it.
between lifting the staff and fighting DBK, the first monkey power we see is the gold vision (and opening the seal on the waterfall) (shit i forgot abt the waterfall seal) (eh theres possibilities there) (his powers are weakly patterning themselves after swk here bc he doesn't know what they are, or that they're His powers yet)
mk only really starts showing the "stronger" monkey powers After taking the staff from DBK, effectively claiming it (and its power) as his own. he's accepted the idea that swk wants mk to be his successor, and that he's the Monkie Kid, so these are his powers and this is what he can do.
(he is also literally Born From A Stone when he retakes the staff, which i am interpreting as a sort of Becoming Monkie Kid, where his powers pattern themselves after wukong's.)
when DBK has him on the ropes, mk sees a Monkey Mech game and goes "sure, why not!" before spontaneously DEVELOPING A NEW POWER AND CREATING A MONKEY MECH OUT OF THE SURROUNDING DEBRIS.
WUKONG COULDN'T DO THIS IN THE JOURNEY, AND HAS NOT SHOWN SIGNS OF BEING ABLE TO IN THE SHOW- THIS POWER IS ALL MK'S, AND IT MANIFESTS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY FROM WUKONG'S
in my mind this is also why he seems to work like an infinitely regenerating battery- his powers are internal, and don't need meditation to recharge (AGAIN, SHOWN TO BE UNLIKE WUKONG). they just come out like wukong's.
all the weirdness with his flashback sorts of things when it comes to LBD and his weird stuff with underworld magic, which i will not be getting into as @imminent-danger-came already has, and again seems to be unique to mk
kinda skipping ahead to the s4 finale here
monkey form is a huge one. yes it's also fantastic evidence that im wrong and mk Is actually a monkey, but keep in mind again that 1) it Only shows up once mk starts fearing/believing that he is Destructive and Chaotic like wukong (going back to the "if mk believes he can do something, he probably can) and seems to me like it's part of his powerset rather than his species, and 2) the fact that monkey form seems to be a Lot of things that mk's been hiding/repressing- his anger, his frustrations, his intelligence, his violent streak (hey anyone else remember when mk seemed like he mightve been about to Kill dbk and red son in the pilot before pif bailed them out??) and thus once again points to it being a facet of his power rather than his species
also, in the azure vs monkey mk fight, azure straight-out asks, "what is he?" azure has fought alongside wukong and macaque, and against wukong at least like twice by now. he knows full well what a fucking monkey is, even a celestial monkey. mk is different.
wukong couldn't beat the jade emperor on his own in the past. mk didn't just beat azure (who was no slouch even Before getting the jade emperor's power!), he demolished azure.
tl;dr: i don't think mk is a monkey, celestial, demon, or otherwise. i think he's smth even stronger.

ok so what is he saying essentially? this was tweeted a little but after s4 but before the s4 (if my memory serves me right) and was made in response to the growing discourse about SWK’s father status in the show (which he confirmed in the tweet to not be so 🤷🏻‍♀️ but that doesn’t immediately mean that their dynamic is diminished because of it. it just means it’s not father/son, got it? good.)
so good ol’ Mr. Breen tweets about how SWK spent most of s4 trying to find MK but always being dragged back to the mountain with the stone egg. Breen explains that Wukong doesn’t understand why he’s dragged there (or maybe it doesn’t clicked until the very end when he finally reunites with MK (and then gets taken away again) in the scroll). we already know that mountain has more to it than just being the place where SWK was born, and it’s shown in s4 that both MK and SWK are connected to its significance (not to mention MK’s visions while in the scroll). the you have flashbacks to Nuwa and baby!MK finding his way to Pigsy’s Noodles and things are making themselves a little murky and Wukong’s “ignorance” of MK until that day he found the staff are looking very slim
like the show def implies/foreshadows this plot piece since the beginning (“The truth is…I’ve been kinda watching you,” <-words said by SWK after he formally introduces himself to MK). you could argue that that line is because since MK took the staff away from the Demon Bull family, SWK has been watching him. however!!!! i call objection!
why? because it’s clearly implied that SWK ordered the noodle delivery that led MK to the mountain’s peak (“we been knew, fluffy—” HUSH LET ME COOK). none of the demon bull members ordered the noodles. all of them were surprised and bamboozled by his entrance, so then who else would have been the one to have placed that order???? the Hansome Mobkey King himself that is!
also! [insert lmk 5x01 spoilers here]
the new season begins its 1st episode by emphasizing THE VERY ROCK THAT SWK HATCHED FROM AND MAYBE MK THAT WAS SHOWN TO US IN S4
like, i have no clue what they were talking to each other about, but it is clear that SWK knows more than he is sharing with MK (which might be what Macky is calling swk out on???? maybe???? again, i can’t speak or read Mandarin) and it has to do with that rock egg which MK is trying to avoid but also wants answers to
NOT TO MENTION THE EGG BEING THE FIRST THING WE SEE TO CRACK

If you ask me, those are some PREEEETY neat choice of words there…especially since in the ending of the special they say:

Now…some people theorize that these are the Kings of the Underworld, and that they are angry that Wukong wrote his name off the book of the dead, and they are still salty about it…
Soooo with this motivation…why not I just add the possibility that these guys…are trying to release whatever MK is, cause what better way to kill off Wukong, than a creature he just could not beat?

The way the Ink acts around MK is a little off compared to previous scenes of the ink around others.
The first time it manifests into Wukong’s guilt, It was manifesting as multiple people, Wukong angered in his lifetime, their voices echoing and overlapping with one another.
It was the same for the other Monkie kids, with Mei, Tang, Pigsy and Sandy, they were experiencing their ancestors/past lives, but their voices were once more, overlapping with other phrases the Pilgrims have spoken.
The second time the ink taunts Wukong, he taunts him with MK’s voice…he isn’t even just taunting Wukong, he’s taunting everyone, with MK’s voice…
Unlike MK who he speaks DIRECTLY to, he DIRECTLY taunt MK, he makes him QUESTION himself, he makes him try to REMEMBER himself, he’s pressuring him, forcing him to remember as if it WANTS him to remember, it WANTS him to know what he is, and since it’s created from the Underworld, and they have no other reason to give Azure the scroll without killing off the Jade Emperor and making inconveniences for themselves, I think they only GAVE the scroll to Azure because they NEEDED to awaken whatever MK was…
And my little thoughts go…MK and Wukong fight but that’s their plan all along, to make them fight.
Am I thinking too much? Maybe…Hell I’ll just add this into the theory because I’m slowly going insane from how much I’m overthinking things…

Taistelevat (metso)korkeakoulut historiaan? - Hallitusohjelma näytti avoimen ja joustavan oppimisen korkeakoulujärjestelmälle tosi vihreää valoa!
Kun syksyllä 2017 teimme ns. alustajengillä (Suomen Ekonomit, YKA ja SYL) aloitteen Suomen korkeakoulun alustamaisesta mallista, niin olinpa kerrassaan todella motivoitunut. Tuntui, että tavoittelemme jotakin epäummehtunutta ja mukavan freesiä, vaikka tiesimme kyllä että Suomen virtuaaliyliopiston arvet eivät vielä olleet kuivahtaneet, ja että Suomen yliopistostakin oli puhuttu jo viimeistään 90-luvulta. Digitaalisten mahdollisuuksien lisääntyessä ja arkipäiväistyessä kuitenkin tuntui, että nyt on aika päästä eteenpäin siinä mihin suuntaan suomalaista korkeakoulujärjestelmää viedään.  Olen tässä omassakin blogissani kirjoittanut teemasta useampia kertoja, milloin ihan muuten vain, milloin ryyditettynä Taistelevat metsot -kuvituksilla. Hallitusneuvottelujen jo alettua kirjoitin Ekonomien blogissa massiivisen pläjäyksen siitä miksi nyt on aika toimeen todellakin tarttua. Silloin kirjoitin toiveikkaaksi loppukaneetiksi:
Yhteistyöllä, avoimuudella ja joustavuudella osaamisvajeita vastaan sekä sivistyksen ja paremman maailman puolesta! Hurraa!
No, miten kävi?
Vaikka moni asia voisi olla tuoreessa hallitusohjelmaopuksessa paremminkin, ja edelleen tarkemmat analyysit edellyttävät vähän lisätietoja, niin olen edelleenkin aivan hämmentynyt ja onnellinen siitä mitä hallitusohjelmassa seisoo tämän kaikkein rakkaimman tavoitteen osalta. Niin vain siellä nimittäin todentotta seisoo (s. 169-170), että:
"Kehitetään korkeakoulujärjestelmää oppijan ja jatkuvan oppimisen alustaksi. Eri statuksella toimivat oppijat – tutkinto-opiskelijat, elinikäiset oppijat ja opiskelupaikkaa vaille voisivat opiskella joustavasti opintoja kaikkien Suomen korkeakoulujen tarjonnasta organisaatiorajoista ja maantieteellisistä rajoituksista riippumatta. 
Painotetaan korkeakoulujen ohjausta ja rahoitusta siten, että se kannustaa korkeakouluja avaamaan koulutustarjontaansa mahdollisimman laajasti muillekin kuin omille tutkinto-opiskelijoilleen sekä järjestämään opetusta yhteistyössä korkeakoulujen kesken. Kehitetään tietojärjestelmiä tukemaan opintojen joustavaa suorittamista eri korkeakouluissa."
En uskalla edes arvata kuinka monta tuntia elämästäni olen käyttänyt ehdotuksemme esittelyyn ja siitä keskusteluun, kasvokkain ja somessa. Kymmeniä ja taas kymmeniä tunteja, parhaimmillaan kerralla myös isommalle yleisölle Dare to Learn -oppimistapahtuman lavalla! Olen (ja olemme) saaneet aivan mahdottoman paljon palautetta ja kommentteja, ja erityisesti rahoitusmalliratkaisuista on käyty kovaakin debattia. Tukea on tullut laajasti sekä korkeakoulukentältä että päättäjäpuolelta. Erimielisyyttäkin on, mutta ei lannistavasti. Kun tänä päivänä mainitsee "alustamallin", niin ilahduttavan moni tietää heti mistä puhutaan. On ollut ilo myös seurata (ja olla mukana kehittämässäkin) sellaisia hankkeita, joissa toimintatavat ovat todellakin Suomen korkeakoulu -ajatuksen mukaisia. eAMK-hanke, tekniikan verkostoyliopisto FITech ja kauppatieteiden tarjoamat LITO-opinnot ovat lempilapsiani, mutta on muitakin. Niissä on tehty aivan mahtavaa raivaustyötä, sillä edelleen vuonna 2019 ei ole mitenkään itsestään selvää, että korkeakoulurajojen ylittäminen ja yhteistyö kurssien järjestämisessä olisi mitenkään helppoa. Vaikka asiasta indeed on eri yhteyksissä jauhettu iät ja ajat.
Rajattoman iso kiitos alustajengille, eli kanssarehkijöille aloitteemme parissa! Olen saanut tehdä tässä asiassa nimittäin töitä aivan liikuttavan upeiden tyyppien kanssa. Keskustelumme eri kokoonpanoilla ovat olleet paitsi hauskoja ja tuloksekkaita, myös opettavaisia. Jatkuvan oppimisen polulla tässäkin asiassa on ollut hyvä yhdessä talsia! ❤️ Kiitos universumi, kiitos aikaisemmat sukupolvet, kiitos tosi fiksut hallitusneuvottelijat. Nyt jumaliste viedään tämä homma maaliin! p.s. Kertauksen vuoksi tässä vielä vaaleanpunaisella hattarapohjalla uusin kuva ajatuksistamme Suomen korkeakoulu -mallin hyvistä puolista eri tahoille. Meneropong Wacana Pentakosta Ketiga

Perlu dipahami bahwa pentakosta bukan milik gereja secara orisinil dan eksklusif. Pentakosta (hari raya tujuh minggu) adalah salah satu dari tiga hari raya besar agama Yahudi yang sudah dikenal sejak periode keluaran (Ul.16:16). Karena pencurahan Roh Kudus, yang menandai kelahiran gereja, terjadi tepat pada perayaan hari pentakosta (Kis.2:1-4), maka gereja pun merasa memiliki pentakosta dengan pemaknaan yang berbeda dari agama Yahudi. Pentakosta Gereja adalah peringatan hari pencurahan Roh Kudus, sedangkan pentakosta Yahudi adalah puncak musim penuaian jelai (EAMK, 1997:229).
Secara oikoumenis (universal) gereja meyakini bahwa pencurahan Roh Kudus pada hari pentakosta itu merupakan penggenapan nubuat nabi Yoel di dalam Yoel 2:28-32. Keyakinan tersebut didasarkan pada isi khotbah Petrus pada hari pentakosta (Kis.2:16-21). Dengan demikian identifikasi pentakosta dengan Roh Kudus adalah perlakuan gereja secara eksklusif, berbeda dari agama Yahudi. Berdasarkan identifikasi itu pula maka gereja memberikan julukan kepada Yoel sebagai “nabi pentakosta,” julukan yang sudah barang tentu tidak dikenal di dalam agama Yahudi.
Menurut nabi Yoel, pencurahan Roh Kudus itu akan terjadi pada suatu kurun waktu tertentu yang disebut sebagai “hari Tuhan.” Petrus menerjemahkannya dengan istilah “hari-hari terakhir” (Kis.2:17). Dan, secara oikoumenis pula, gereja meyakini bahwa hari-hari terakhir (Yun. eskhatais hemerais) yang dimaksud oleh Petrus itu menunjuk kepada sebuah masa atau kurun waktu yang panjang antara saat kenaikan Tuhan Yesus ke surga sampai dengan saat kedatangan-Nya yang kedua kali. Dalam kurun waktu yang panjang ini Roh Kudus bekerja tanpa henti untuk melaksanakan fungsi dan peranan-Nya sesuai yang dijanjikan oleh Tuhan Yesus di dalam Yohanes 14:15-31 dan 16:4-15.
Roh Kudus selalu ada untuk menyertai dan tinggal di dalam kita untuk memastikan bahwa kita tidak menjadi yatim piatu (Yoh.14:16-18), dan untuk memimpin kita ke dalam seluruh kebenaran Allah (Yoh.16:12-15). Roh Kudus selalu bekerja, dan akan terus bekerja, untuk memperlengkapi orang-orang percaya dengan karunia-karunia rohani bagi pekerjaan pembangunan tubuh Kristus (Efe.4:11-16; 1Kor.12:1-11). Seorang teolog pentakosta bernama French L. Arrington menulis: “Karunia-karunia Roh Kudus berlaku untuk setiap generasi, hingga akhir zaman.” (Arrington, 2000:383).
Berdasarkan ulasan di atas maka dapat dikatakan bahwa pencurahan Roh Kudus itu hanya terjadi satu kali dan tetap eksis dalam karya-Nya sampai Tuhan Yesus datang kembali. Ini pemahaman yang ortodoks-Alkitabiah, yang harus menjadi pegangan kita; bukan ajaran manusia, bahkan ajaran seorang malaekat sekalipun (Gal.1:8).
Wacara pentakosta ketiga telah bergulir dalam satu dekade terakhir dan cukup menarik perhatian publik Kristen di Tanah Air. Hingga sekarang, dengan tidak kenal lelah, wacana tersebut terus digaungkan oleh para pengusungnya.
Wacana tersebut tidak dapat dilepaskan dari klaim sepihak oleh kaum pentakostal, yang menyebut peristiwa di loteng Yerusalem (tahun 30) sebagai “pentakosta pertama” dan peristiwa Asuza Street-Los Angelos (tahun 1906) sebagai “pentakosta kedua.” Karena ada pentakosta pertama dan kedua, maka adalah wajar jika kemudian ada wacana pentakosta ketiga.
Namun harus disadari bahwa penyebutan “pentakosta berjilid-jilid” itu merupakan klaim sepihak oleh kaum pentakostal dan bukan merupakan kesepakatan teologis secara oikoumenis, apalagi hendak dikatakan bahwa klaim tersebut Alkitabiah.
Klaim “pentakosta kedua” yang dilabelkan pada peristiwa Asuza Street itu sendiri menuai masalah, terkait ketidakobyektifan sejarah. Jika mau obyektif harusnya yang lebih tepat dilabeli sebagai pentakosta kedua adalah peristiwa Topeka-Kansas, yang terjadi pada tahun 1901. Sebab, selain mendahului Asuza Street, dalam peristiwa tersebutlah untuk pertama kalinya seseorang (yakni Agnes Oesman) mengalami kepenuhan Roh Kudus dengan tanda berbahasa lidah (Aritonang, 1996:174-175).
Berbicara mengenai pencurahan Roh Kudus di abad modern, H.L. Senduk (pendiri GBI) lebih merujuk kepada peristiwa yang terjadi pada tahun 1888 di Cherokke Country, North Carolina, yang menandai lahirnya Church Of God (COG), salah satu denominasi besar dari gereja aliran pentakosta pada saat ini. Senduk menyebut pencurahan Roh Kudus di penghujung akhir zaman ini sebagai “sungai pentakosta” yang terus mengalir dari North Carolina ke Kansas, dan terus ke Los Angelos (Sejarah GBI, 2011:5).
Artinya, klaim Asuza Street (1906) sebagai pentakosta kedua itu telah ‘menyingkirkan’ secara sengaja setidaknya dua peristiwa besar yang mendahuluinya, yakni peristiwa Cherokke Country-North Carolina (1888) dan peristiwa Topeka-Kansas (1901).  
Selain itu, klaim sepihak tersebut juga telah secara sengaja mengabaikan (memungkiri) fakta sejarah tentang peristiwa-peristiwa kegerakan rohani yang terjadi sebelumnya seperti: reformasi gereja pada abad ke-16, kebangunan rohani di Inggris pada abad 18 oleh John Wesley, dan kebangunan rohani besar (the great awakening) di Amerika pada pertengahan abad ke-19 oleh Charles Finney, dan masih banyak lagi yang lain. Padahal sulit untuk mengatakan bahwa peristiwa-peristiwa tersebut terjadi tanpa campur tangan (pekerjaan) Roh Kudus.
Satu hal lagi; tradisi pentakosta Yahudi berhubungan erat dengan dunia pertanian di Israel yang mengenal dua musim penghujan, yaitu “hujan awal dan hujan akhir.” Kaum pentakostal meyakini dan menggunakan hal itu sebagai gambaran (metafora) dari pentakosta pertama dan pentakosta kedua. Lalu, jika ada pentakosta ketiga, hujan yang mana lagi yang mau dijadikan sebagai metaforanya?
Menurut hemat saya, wacana pentakosta ketiga itu harus dilihat secara terpisah antara isinya (substansinya) dengan kulitnya (kemasannya). Substansinya adalah pekerjaan Roh Kudus yang akan semakin intens dan semakin hebat terjadi penghujung akhir zaman ini untuk mempersiapkan gereja bagi kedatangan Tuhan Yesus yang kedua kali. Sedangkan kemasannya itu adalah istilah “pentakosta ketiga” yang dilabelkan kepadanya.
Sebagai seorang pentakostal, saya mengaminkan substansinya, tetapi menolak kemasannya. Sebab kemasan berlabel “pentakosta ketiga” itu justru menjadi kontraproduktif, melahirkan resistensi, bahkan apriori dan antipati, yang justru akan mengaburkan substansinya sendiri. Maka abaikan istilah pentakosta ketiga, tetapi fokuslah kepada pekerjaan Roh Kudus yang akan makin hebat di penghujung akhir zaman ini.
Pengusung wacana pentakosta ketiga menjelaskan bahwa yang dimaksud dengan pentakosta ketiga adalah “restorasi kepenuhan Roh Kudus dengan tanda berbahasa roh.” (lihat berjaga-jaga.wordpress.com, dbr.gbi-bogor.org). Penjelasan ini menunjukkan adanya pemutlakan bahasa roh (bahasa lidah) sebagai tanda kepenuhan Roh Kudus.
Secara umum, ajaran pentakosta-kharismatik memang menekankan keyakinan akan peranan Roh Kudus dan menifestasi karunia-karunia Roh Kudus di dalam kehidupan orang percaya. Penghayatan dan pengalaman pribadi dengan Roh Kudus lebih diutamakan dari pada pemahaman doktrinal mengenai Roh Kudus. Oleh karena itulah, maka manifestasi karunia Roh Kudus menjadi hal yang lebih diutamakan, bahkan dimutlakkan.
Dalam hal ini, kaum pentakosta-kharismatik sepakat dengan doktrin continuationisme (doktrin keberlanjutan), yang mengajarkan bahwa manifestasi karunia-karunia Roh Kudus terus berlanjut hingga akhir zaman. Doktrin ini hadir sebagai antithesis terhadap doktrin cessationisme (doktrin penghentian) yang mengajarkan bahwa karunia-karunia roh telah berakhir seiring berakhirnya zaman para rasul.
Namun demikian, trend pemutlakkan bahasa roh secara spesifik, baik sebagai tanda kepenuhan maupun sebagai karunia Roh Kudus, justru memunculkan kesan atau anggapan bahwa bahasa roh lebih diunggulkan (lebih diutamakan) dari pada tanda dan karunia yang lainnya. Padahal Alkitab mengajarkan bahwa karunia-karunia roh itu diberikan oleh Roh yang satu dan yang sama… untuk maksud Roh itu sendiri, yakni untuk membangun jemaat (1Kor.12:11; 14:12).
Trend pemutlakkan bahasa roh pernah terjadi di jemaat Korintus. Pemutlakan itu menimbulkan kekisruhan dalam jemaat; sebab, dalam pertemuan-pertemuan ibadah, setiap orang sibuk membangun dirinya sendiri tetapi abai untuk membangun sesama sehingga menjadi syak bagi mereka yang imannya masih lemah (1Kor.14:1-24). Padahal, seperti telah disinggung di atas, karunia roh itu diberikan dengan tujuan untuk membangun jemaat.
Di satu sisi bahasa roh itu memang ada manfaatnya; sebab dengan berkata-kata dalam bahasa roh, seseorang dapat berbicara kepada Allah dan membangun dirinya sendiri (1Kor.14:2,4). Namun pemutlakkan justru menimbulkan kekisruhan. Oleh karena itu Paulus mengajarkan bahwa karunia bahasa roh harus ‘berdampingan’ dengan karunia menafsirkan bahasa roh, serta digunakan dengan tertib, agar dapat bermanfaat untuk membangun jemaat (1Kor.14:5,13,26-28).
Dalam Kekristenan modern, pemutlakan bahasa roh merupakan ajaran Pentakosta Unitarian (Oneness Pentacost). Mereka mengajarkan bahasa roh sebagai syarat untuk keselamatan (Isak Roedy, In Memoriam H.L. Senduk, 2008:159).
Apakah para pemutlak bahasa roh, yang kita bicarakan di sini, memiliki keterkaitan dengan Pentakosta Unitarian? Walahualam! Tetapi yang jelas mereka menganggap bahasa roh sebagai standar kekudusan dan sebagai ukuran kedewasaan rohani seseorang. Orang-orang yang belum (tidak dapat) berbahasa roh, dianggap belum dewasa rohani dan tidak layak untuk memangku jabatan tertentu dalam pelayanan jemaat.

Senduk, Guru, Teolog dan Pemimpin Yang Membagi Hidup, demikian: “Apabila bahasa roh dijadikan sebagai syarat keselamatan atau sebagai pertanda spiritualitas sejati, maka itu juga merupakan bentuk baru dari Yudaisme yang mempropagandakan Injil palsu.” (In Memoriam H.L. Senduk, 2008:165).
