I did something really exciting today!
I'm not going to bother you with details about it, but I have a really bad relationship with my father's side of the family. He passed away 23 years ago and even before that, he was hardly there for me and my brother. After he passed away, my mum, brother and I didn't really have the best relationship with his side of the family either and haven't spoken to any of them in, like, 15 years.
So when we were in our late teens (like 10+ years ago), my brother and I started thinking about changing our last name to our mum's. Because, y'know, she was actually there for us.
But the legislation around it was very strict. You had to apply for it, have a good argumentation, and it had to get approved with a royal decree and all. Plus, it cost a bunch of money. So we wanted to do it, but all the crap that came with it, it just wasn't worth the trouble...
At the beginning of July, though, a new law came into force where, for one time, you're allowed to change your first or last name without all the hassle of the royal decree nor the cost of it (just so you know, this is something completely separate from when a trans person changes their name. There's an entirely different legislation surrounding that.)
So this morning, I went to town hall and applied for the name change! Which is so cool!! (My brother applied a week or two ago)
It will take about a month for the paperwork to go through and afterwards I have to go back to change my ID and driving license and all (and I have to contact my bank and insurance and what not) but it's so exciting!!
It's also a bit weird because obviously you're so used to your name and to have it change all of a sudden... It's, I don't know how to explain it, but it feels like you're a different person all of a sudden? It's feels like letting go of the person you were all your life? I don't know if that makes sense.
So yeah! I'm so excited about this!!! It's going to be weird and I'm probably going to use the wrong name out of habit, but I'm so happy that I can finally do this and leave that side of my life in the past!!!
#I also have to figure out a new signature lol xD#It's all these tiny details that come with it!#Getting a new signature. New e-mail. Contact all these firms to update their information.#+ it's going to be so annoying to tell people...#Most of my friends are aware about the situation (to some degree) but having to tell them is going to be weird I think#But it's so exciting!!!#My mum's last name is also way prettier than my current one so it's nothing but positives!!!#Guess I just wanted to share this!!! :D#Personal#Shut Up Char

BABY SAID...

Hello, thank you for the support on my BG3 fanart. 🔥❤️
Some of you asked for individual full shots of them, so I decided to make it. There's an interesting suggestion with Shadowheart and Karlarch I might do as well...
"Can I use it as wallpaper/screen cover?"
Sure. Just don't remove my signature or modify the drawing.🤘
"Can I print it on my own?"
If possible, please consider supporting me via INPRNT. If you can't, ofc, I won't hold you, go on, print it and later drop me a coffee at ko-fi, darling! You can also share some cents via paypal. Send pics as well of your achievement. For personal use only. 🔥
"Can I print it to sell, use commercially?"
No. Unless you pay me 100kUSD.
🇧🇷"Tem print?" Sim. Só me enviar comprovante de 50$ no pix: 51648094000140 e endereço de preferência para o e-mail: niccoguedes @ gmail.com . Envio no tamanho A4 com rastreio.

When in Rome
word count; 2392 – f!reader
Moving to Italy as a young adult to work as an au pair through a shady website wasn’t the most reckless thing anyone your age ever did. However, you hadn’t counted on the job being a complete lie and ending up stranded at the airport with nowhere to go.
You strolled over to the large notice board by the taxi section where people promoted anything the tourists might not want to miss. Your eyes skimmed over a few places to eat and cheap Airbnbs, and you sighed loudly until your eyes zeroed in on a laminated note.
‘Professional athlete needs an in-house cleaner and language teacher’ it said in Italian, and you had never been so thankful for taking all those language courses prior to this.
Hurriedly, you called the number and were greeted by an older man’s voice claiming to be a manager for Ali Roma, whatever that meant. You claimed to have experience in anything he asked and responded just quickly enough in Italian that you got the job.
By the time evening rolled around, you were sitting by the wall and leaning on your suitcase. The manager needed time to produce a contract and send it to your e-mail. Thank goodness for airport wifi. You had the contract open on your phone and quickly skimmed through it until you found the section where you would be living in an adjacent apartment by his house, before immediately completing the e-signature.
When you got there for the first time, that manager had been waiting in your new apartment to greet you and go over some details, also making sure you were who you said you were and then introducing you to Kageyama Tobio.
He was interesting, that Kageyama. Not as old as you might have imagined, and ridiculously handsome. Seemingly shy but not against having company. Kind but very direct.
It had been a long day of cleaning, which was the kind of manual labour your body wasn’t so used to performing yet. Finally off work for the day, you were singing to yourself over the stove, trying to read something off a food label when a dark head of hair appeared in your peripheral vision. Jumping in surprise, you held up the pasta packet as if to throw it, only to see Kageyama’s upper body leaning into the doorway with a curious wiggle of his nose. “Kageyama, you scared me.”
“I’m sorry.” The sauce was still cooking as you had forgotten to put on the pasta for boiling, so it would have to simmer for longer, but the smell must have wafted far enough to draw him in. “Did you make that?”
You proudly flourished your hands over the food. “I sure did,” you picked up some sauce on a spoon, holding it up for him with a hand underneath. “Wanna taste?”
The two of you spoke to each other slowly in Italian, adding some English words here and there. “Yes,” he confirmed, coming into the kitchen and walking straight over to you. You expected him to take the spoon from you, but your ears burned red as he leaned in close and ate the sauce right off the spoon. He seemed to consider the taste while all you could do was try to stay focused with him so close. Finally, he nodded and looked at you. “It’s really good, can I have some too?”
Luckily you had made a lot, intending to save some portions for later, so you spent the evening eating with Tobio – he insisted you call him Tobio – in the setting Italy sun.
Tobio had a lot of practices and seemed to stay longer than planned almost every time, so you would typically have a cup of tea and lounge on his couch, which was much more lavish than yours until you heard the door unlock. The general idea was for you to clean while he was out, so when he stayed longer than what it said in the schedule, you happily enjoyed the quiet luxury of his living room or the heat of Italy from his balcony after finishing the obligatory work. Then when he got home, you would often make dinner, which was not part of the original plan but naturally became part of the routine.
He was funny, in his own way, and the way you both laughed so quietly sat well with you as the sound of the busy city flowed through the open windows in the background.
Over the first weekend, you had done your best to prepare some learning materials that would suit his level, and you two would mostly use conversing as a way of learning, spending a few hours every Saturday. Whenever he hit a word he didn’t know in Italian, he would awkwardly move his hands in the air and look at you for help.
And sometimes, you weren’t sure either. “Oh… I don’t know that, actually,” you admitted, feeling your ears burn red as he was still staring at you expectantly. You chuckled under your breath to relieve the tension and opened up your computer to look it up. When you finally found it, you looked up, only to realise he had scooted closer on the couch to look at the screen too, not noticing how you took in a sharp breath of air at how your arms brushed against each other.
He nodded, seemingly happy with the answer as he tried to say it out loud. “Chiacchierare.”
You repeated it back to him with emphasis on where he struggled with pronouncing it. “Chiacchierare.”
And when you focused back on his face, he was staring at your lips, probably because you were teaching him pronunciation, but it still made you feel flustered. He repeated the word more properly, until he looked back up at your eyes, expectantly again.
“That was… good.” You cleared your throat and glanced at the wall clock before turning back to him. “Did you already go for your jog today?”
Tobio looked at his wristwatch and seemed to frown. “I would rather go later, it’s still pretty hot outside,” he said, getting up and walking into his kitchen now that it seemed you wanted a break. “Do you want anything to drink?”
“Just water, please!” You started packing up the teaching materials you always had lying around for the basic rules when Tobio came back in with two tall glasses of ice water.
“We’re done for the day?” he asked, and your heart skipped a beat at the disappointed look he wore.
“I just thought…” You drifted off because you weren’t sure what you thought. He just looked so ridiculously handsome in his leisure wear, and when he scooted closer, he smelled so good, and…
“Maybe we can do something else?” he asked, putting the glasses down without any coasters, so you added one underneath each glass. “Like go swimming?”
Tobio started asking you to do more things with him that couldn’t be considered something you weaved into the routine of your job. They were more like… dates. He would take you mini golfing, hiking or to a volleyball court, and then always buy you dinner wherever you wanted to try eating next. Whether it was some exclusive local restaurant or in the next town over, he would get you there.
Obviously, you knew what this might look like, what it might be becoming, but bringing it up brought on the risk of bursting the bubble. You were still keeping up with all the work they expected from you, and your time together never affected his practices or other work routines.
You fell in love with Kageyama Tobio and he fell in love with you.
A right person, right time kind of love.
It was the most casual evening you finally gave in to it. You were in your own kitchen, once again humming under your breath as you cooked, Italian tunes playing from the radio.
The sunshine came through the windows and lit up the room, alerting you when Kageyama’s shadow crept in. “Hello, there.” You looked up at him and smiled softly, stirring the pasta sauce that had a much better recipe now than it did when you first arrived. Speaking with the locals and making friends outside of work hadn’t been easy, but you got there.
“Hi.” He walked closer until he stood arm to arm with you, picking up the ladle to unnecessarily stir the pasta while you worked the sauce. His hair was damp, telling you he just got out of the shower after practice. “How was your day?”
“Very relaxing, video called my parents and went to the old neighbour for lunch,” you recalled. “She told me to bring you next time, said it’s been too long.” You bumped him with your elbow and he smiled, doing the same back. He didn’t need to know said neighbour referred to Tobio as your partner. “And you? How was practice?”
You couldn’t help but glance at him when he pouted. “It was fine, but I had some trouble with my serves.”
“Serves?” you repeated. “Were you trying something new?”
“Not really, just… had my mind on something else, I suppose.”
You hummed in understanding, then the Italian tunes took over the aura again as you finished the food, putting both the pot and pan on the cold parts of the stovetop.
You both slowed to a stop and seemed to be waiting for the other to choose your next move. In the end, you would never be able to tell anyone the answer to who moved first, because it only took a second for the two of you to be devouring each other.
Tobio had one hand on the back of your head, the other hand splayed across the middle of your back to pull you closer. Your arms clung to his shoulders to make sure he was actually there with you.
Your lips moved in perfect sync, and then either of you interrupted the flow with a different tangent in irregular intervals before naturally syncing back into each other’s pace.
By the time you two snuck back out of the bedroom that night, the pasta was cold, and he kissed you against the kitchen counter as it heated back up.
This routine you had been trying to piece together eventually blurred into your day-to-day life. Tobio would go to practice when he needed to, and on the days he stayed late, you were sometimes already snoring away in his bed, or sometimes waiting for him with a cup of tea by the time he returned. While he was out, you always cleaned the house, enjoying how it visibly turned into a home for two. Your clothes from yesterday needed to be thrown into the laundry because Tobio had made quick work of them before bed and his finished protein cup was left on the table in the dining room because he didn’t have time for everything in the morning. Every little thing made you smile.
You two eventually spoke almost exclusively in Italian, leaning affectionately on each other while searching up any words you didn’t remember. The neighbours loved you, and you even hosted a dinner for some of the local couples you spent time with.
“Y/n?” you heard called from the hallway. You sat on the sofa with Tobio’s iPad and browsed open positions in the area or online. Even though Tobio said you didn’t need to work to be with him, you wanted something to give your life some extra colour. Something like working with children or teaching language to people of all ages interested you greatly.
“Tobi?” you responded, lifting one arm to let him settle his head in your lap, letting your arm fall back over him while still scrolling.
“Let it go for today. We still haven’t talked to my manager about ending the contract,” he mumbled, closing his eyes to rest. He had early practice today, which left him plenty of quality time that you should be spending on giving him your attention!
You chuckled airily. “Did you do well at practice today?”
“Very well,” he confirmed, giving you that stiff smile that made you laugh more and think of the high school photos he had shown you before. “Hinata will be here in a week, we should settle everything with my manager by then so I don’t have to explain it to him. He’s not very smart.”
As your fingers stroked through his hair, you put the iPad to the side after locking it. “I’ll do it tomorrow,” you said. “For now-“ Tobio opened one eye to watch you, finding a coy smile. “Tell me what you’ll introduce me to Hinata as.”
He wasn’t sure how to take your tone. Was this relaxed attitude real or were you just waiting for him to say the wrong answer? “You’re my- Uhh… I can’t say girlfriend?” he asked and felt some relief at how a bigger smile stretched across your face. Then you leaned over to squish his face and push your lips against his in several small but loving kisses.
“Of course you can!”
“Tobio?” you yelled when you walked out of the kitchen to greet him at the door. He wasn’t supposed to be home for another ten minutes according to his last message, so you were curious about who else would just walk right in.
You stopped abruptly in the hallway as you saw his manager, staring at you with furrowed brows. You looked down at your bare legs and Kageyama’s hoodie, then back up in horror.
“I was going to ask if you know who Kageyama is seeing.” A silence fell over you where you did whatever you could to not meet his eyes. The heat crept up your neck and over your cheekbones. “But never mind!”
You would both later agree on ending the contract early, as Kageyama wouldn’t need your services anymore in the same way and you wouldn’t need to use the adjacent apartment.
Instead, he would save up some of that money he could have paid you with to buy you the kind of engagement ring that best suited your style.
Tobio wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. You were the right person, and it was the right time.

Ashen Knight 11
Jacques: *reading his e-mail* Tsk, those stupid beasts are attacking my mines and shipments again.
RK: *coughing* If i may, the Grimms are attracted to negative emotions, sir. The low salary and poor security measures are most certainly linked to the attacks.
Jacques: *rolling his eyes* I know that already. And if i actually could have done it before, i would have.
RK: *surprised* You would?
Jacques: *side eying the blond knight* I am not stupid, mister Amaryllis. A bad man, yes, but not stupid. *Getting up, walking to the window* Better security means happier workers. And in turn, those work harder for their pay. *Looking outside, seeing Willow interacting with her childrens with a genuine smile on her face* ...
RK: Then why couldn't you?
Jacques: *sigh* Simple, i am not the owner of the SDC. Willow is.
RK: *frowning* And what does it change?
Jacques: *looking back at Jaune* It changes that i need her handwritten signature for every little thing i need to change, outside of security staff and the transport, since they are from my own company.
RK: *thinking* "Then why didn't you do it when you took her shares?"
Jacques: *sigh* ... I don't hate Faunuskind, Mr Amaryllis. I can see in your eyes that you are doubting me... A good trait, for someone working as a bodyguard.
RK: ... If i may be honest, your reputation is not...
Jacques: The best?
RK: *nod*
Jacques: Well, i did have to throw away my morale to fix this company... *Shaking his head* Beside, even if she signed the documents, they would need to be approved by the council and they despise the faunus. *Rolling his eyes* Their stupid pride goes against profits.
RK: *frown* I see.
Jacques: *looking back through the window, seeing his estranged wife looking more alive than ever* ... Tell me, Mr Amaryllis, how does one achieve happiness?
RK: That's... A strange question to ask, but i think happiness can be achieved with the little things in life.
Jacques: Not with Lien then.
RK: It can help. If it didn't i wouldn't have searched for a job.
Jacques: *chuckle* I see. *Looking back at Jaune with a nod* You may go. I don't think anyone is going to assassinate me in my own house.
RK: *nodding* Sir. *Leaving*
Jacques: *taking out a newspaper with Cinder's face printed on it* ... *Throwing it in the fireplace* Maybe the old man was right after all... *Looking at the wall where a portrait of Nicholas Schnee was hanging* ... I really need a hobby.

Millions of votes are uncounted. YOU can do something about it!
Take less than 10 minutes to register your protest.
Tell the White House to investigate election fraud. There is a sample statement in this post.
Bitching on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter will not help. If you are an American who is old enough to vote, please take the 10 minutes to do this. Post it on your Facebook, Twitter, whatever you have.
Bomb threats called into 32 polling places
Ballot boxes burned in Vancouver WA and Portland OR; hundreds of ballots damaged, casters unable to be contacted. The city had issued a request for anyone who dropped off their ballots after the previous collection time to come forward.
Ballots declined for spurious, questionable reasons, like physical signatures not matching the shitty electronic pad ones.
These 4000+ were in Pennsylvania alone.
An unprecedented number of mail-in ballots were denied, in fact.
Major disasters along the SE means entire CITIES displaced, and someone can only vote at their polling places. With documents. So what happened to thousands of people who don't have ANYTHING? And what happened with polling places that do not exist? Entire TOWNS that don't exist? "Record numbers" DID vote in NC, but there are *other places?* What happens to people who don't have transportation? Many states do NOT have protected days off for voting. Many places do not HAVE transportation to polling places.
y'all, there was a dude not far from me who went after people at a polling place with a fucking machete. cops did something right and took his ass to jail. motherfucker went after a 70 year old?? wow u r so brave
Voter intimidation has been rampant. People here in Tampa FL were wearing piles of Trump merch while voting, which btw is illegal, but of course they weren't turned away in a red county. And some of the cops here are KNOWN white rights members so who tf you going to call.
KNOWN Russian propaganda, such as the vote fraud video "in Georgia" was rampant and convincing people to not vote or that voting polls were rigged
Don't have energy to come up with your own writing? Think like a high school essay. Include some specific bullet points.
You MUST put your REAL NAME and ADDRESS (or temporary/registered address, whatever you have.) This shows that you are a REAL PERSON and not some fucking bot. Yes, you need to do this EVERY TIME you contact a government official, or you will not be counted.
Include both investigation reasons AND recount reasons. Weird shit like bomb threats and Russian propaganda should trigger an investigation.
I shouldn't have to tell you this but keep the fucking anger out of it. Do NOT make ANY veiled, passive aggressive, or even potential threat to ANYONE. jfc.
"I urge you to investigate the 2024 election on grounds of (reason, like Russian propaganda influence) and (reason, like bomb threats preventing us from exercising civil rights.) Domestic terrorists have burned ballot boxes, attacked voters at polls, and intimidated voters. An unprecented number of ballots have been thrown out or called into question for reasons such as signature mismatch, which is not something a ballot counter should know anyways. Those ballots must be cured, the caster not simply notified of an issue through e-mail. I am greatly concerned that foreign influence has especially changed the nature of our elections. This is a matter of national security. It determines who owns weapons and who can use our nuclear codes, while calling into question the integrity of the American people. I urge the United States Government to demand an investigation into these issues and to ensure that everyone has been counted. Thank you."
I'm not saying "wahhh, wahhhhh, my guy didn't win!!1" I'm not demanding election investigation because I didn't Like the Results. I'm demanding an investigation because people's lives were threatened, our civil rights were widely disenfranchised, and we cannot have a clear idea of who REALLY won (regardless of who) until we remedy this national issue.
This is a matter of national security. Now act like it.

Change.org petition to have the metal band Blind Guardian reconsider playing in Tel Aviv, Israel this June
As you probably already know if you follow me, I really fucking love Blind Guardian - and they're currently doing a world tour. Later this year, they want to play in Tel Aviv - something they originally wanted to do on October 11th, but rescheduled after October 7th.
I have just made a petition that I hope to e-mail to them if it gets some signatures, to ask them to reconsider performing in Israel in light of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people done by Israeli forces. Cultural boycotts are an effective thing, and multiple artists have already backed out of playing in Israel under pressure from their fans.
Sign and share! Every signature matters!

Well, here it comes, a filing at the Republican-controlled Sixth US Circuit Court of Appeals that could lead to the overturn of the rights to same-sex marriage, birth control, even the right to have same-sexy-sextimes in the privacy of one’s own home, courtesy of Apostolic Christian Kentucky court clerk Kim Davis and her designated-hate-group law firm, Liberty Counsel.
Yes, it’s THAT lady again, the one the hair who’s been pitching one long legal fit since 2015, starting when she refused to sign marriage certificates for gay couples after Obergefell v. Hodges made same-sex marriage the law of the land, moaning that it would violate her right to religious expression to have her Godly Christian signature on such sinful paperwork.
The couples sued her for being a flagrant asshole who denied them their rights, and a jury agreed with them. Davis appealed to the Supreme Court, back in the saner days of old (2020 and before), they didn’t want to hear it.
Nevertheless, Justice Clarence “RV” Thomas took the opportunity to write a whole unsolicited statement about how the victim here wasn’t nice couples in love trying to get married like they were legally allowed to do, but poor Kim Davis, because now everybody thinks she’s a bigot instead of decent, good, and honorable, and that makes her sad. How dare Obergefell have not considered the right of Christian moral scolds to butt into everybody’s private life and make scenes, the way God intended?
[ ]
So now Davis and Liberty Counsel have an in, using Thomas’s statement to take their legal spanking to the 6th Circuit as being UGH SO UNFAIR to Davis as an oppressed bigot-American. Also while the 6th Circuit is at it, Davis thinks they should “reconsider all of th[e] Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold [v. Connecticut], Lawrence [v. Texas], and Obergefell”, maybe the 6th Circuit could have a talk with the manager?
[ ]
But guffaw, Liberty Counsel is never happy! Not for nothing the Southern Poverty Law Center designates them as a hate group! Their lawyers Mat (one ‘T’) Staver and Matt Barber have opined many times that gay sex is so ew yuck icky that we should all have an entire civil war about it. In 2019 Liberty Counsel was publicly mad that gay people were included in the federal Justice for Victims of Lynching Act, lest you think they aren’t deadly serious about wanting to kill people.
That’s a goal that also tops on Project 2025’s wish list, that plus labeling content with LGBTQ people in it as pornography, making “pornographers” register as sex offenders, and that sex offenders should get the death penalty. And like Davis, Project 2025 would also like to throw out the Comstock Act and have the FBI spend their time searching people’s mail for suspected “abortifacients.”

❄️Snow day❄️
no warnings; mainly fluff
REQUESTS ARE OPEN HEHE
2561 words
the song (greek tradegy, the woombats remix): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otPkmMNV4-M
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
''A snow day? I thought only schools did those!'' You declared loudly as you looked around in slight confusion to the rest of the protocol agents, who seemed just as confused as you were in this moment. The announcement had just been made via e-mail; Brimstone and Viper, the two protocol leaders signed the e-mail off to all.
Granted; the snowstorm outdoors was a bit intense, but you were valorant agents! Everyone could agree you dealt with worse on the daily; being shot at, chased by multiple enemies, the omega agents, training, having the worlds faith in your hands....
''Well, I won't say no to a day off!'' Phoenix declared loudly, already off to do god knows what. He gave a slight happy dance as he left the common room, his enthusiasm becoming contagious. a few extra agents had started to leave the common room to head off and do their own things- a day to relax was definitely welcome here.
You looked around to the gradually leaving agents, a few staying back to chat in the common room as they discussed what they could do of their day. You on the other hand, weren't fully sure what to do. Days off often had a minimum of planning for you- so on the spot was a bit of a thought twister for you. You took out your phone, humming a bit as you debated whether or not you should bother someone on this day off.
after a few more moments, you finally tapped on a contact, sending a quick message asking if they were up to do something today. the answer came back rapidly, and a smile grazed your lips.
''meet me outside in 15, wear something warm!''
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
And here you were now- in a warm winter jacket, fur gloves and a fur hat on your head, trotting behind Sova, who had his bow strapped to his back and a quiver full of arrows to his hip. He was already grinning widely, ready to march into the woods that were near the valorant headquarters. He saw this day off as a small opportunity to hunt- even if it was going to be small prey, he didn't mind much- just happy he could have a moment to get back to his main hobby.
''You have a lot of energy today- I'm not complaining though! I'll put it to good use.'' Sova said with his signature smile, leading the way in his march through the woods. ''Uh oh- should I be worried?'' You asked him jokingly- knowing that he wouldn't actually make you do something you wouldn't want to. Plus, it was Sova we're talking about; the man wouldn't hurt a fly unless tasked to.
'' Don't worry, you know I won't twist your arm on anything.'' He said with a light chuckle, as always his Russian accent coming out on his words as he spoke. You always found it rather charming, it had a unique ring to it you didn't hear often. '' But... If I do catch something, I might ask for a hand to make dinner with it!'' He followed up, smiling.
''Of course you'd ask me that-'' You said, shaking your head; a small smile tugging at your lips. '' But sure, I can figure out dinner if need be.'' You replied casually. He nodded and continued his way through the woods, as if he knew the place well. It was a little worrisome to head into the woods in the middle of a snowstorm- but with Sova? you weren't worried in the slightest. He was initially found in the Russian tundra after all- if someone was to know their way in the woods in the middle of a snowstorm, it was definitely him.
After some time walking- the scenery finally changed a bit. Instead of the usual dead trees and heavy snowfall; there was a bit of a clearing in the woods. Granted it was small- but enough to spot a few wild animals further off on the other side of the clearing. There was an unsuspecting fawn and its mother, slowly walking in the snow. Sova raised his hand, signaling to stop. He crouched, hiding behind a dead bush and snow mound, pulling you down with him.
Though the pull down was a bit clumsy- the man seems to forget his own strength at times, pulling you onto him instead of besides. You were able to not make a noise as you fell onto his side- only a slight, quiet grunt escaping him. He gave you an apologetic look as you moved off him a bit to give him the space he needed to set up his bow. You turned your attention to the fawn, near its adult size but not quite- you would rather look at the woodland creature than face him with your rosy cheeks. Though if he asked- blaming the cold would be the easy excuse.
He was quick to place an arrow on the tense string of his bow, two fingers pulling back the string as he kept his elbow squared- immediately having a concentrated look on his face as he aimed. You couldn't tell whether he was aiming at the fawn or the mother deer- nor could you tell if he was breathing at this point. It was as if he had frozen in time, a face of focus as he held his tensed pose with his bow. His bionic eye slightly adjusted, seeming focused and locked onto his prey- not noticing how you stared at him like he was a Greek sculpture. If you could, you would have taken a picture of the scene.
Then- then sound of the bow string snapping brought you back to reality- the faint whistling of the arrow in the wind before a thud could be heard; a cry of one of the wild deers pierced through the peaceful winter snowfall. You looked back to where the deer were- seeing the fawn laid onto the snow- red staining the pristine white snow near its chest.
''Seems I caught dinner- and for quite a few people!'' Sova declared joyously as he slowly stood from his spot, strapping his bow back in place. He briefly turned his attention back to you, his gloved hand stretching out to you as he smiled. You took his hand- once more pulled by the Russian man who seems to forget his own strength once more.
This time- you were pulled straight into his chest- a small ''oof'' escaping you this time now that there was no deer to scare off. ''Apologies-'' He said immediately- this time speaking a bit embarrassedly as it was the second time he had done the same mistake. You chuckled, shaking your head slightly before speaking up in a teasing tone; ''I'm starting to suspect you're doing it on purpose, Sova!''
He chocked a laugh, his cheeks tinting a bit more as he did. He stepped back, creating a bit of space between the two of you- much to your disappointment. ''I swear its on accident- do you know how light you are, (Y-N)?'' He retorted- though still not noticing his hand holding yours still. You took a small chance- squeezing his hand slightly as you smiled. ''Sova, lets be honest here- you're the one unaware of your own damn strength. Like damn, what did your babushka feed you?!''
Sova finally looked down at your hands- the rosy on his cheeks not leaving. It almost seemed like he spaced out for a moment- as if wondering how long you two had been holding hands at this point. He cleared his throat, ''She uh... made a lot of pelmeni-'' He replied - then turning his attention to the fawn he had brought down. He was desperately trying to distract himself- he could feel the heat on his cheeks and the slight knot in his stomach forming; but not wanting to let it show. 'We are friends, nothing more', he thought to himself, clearing his throat once more.
''I'll uh... get to the deer.... We'll head back after-'' He chocked out, finally letting go of your hand as he left you there, walking alone to the deer to start working on it. You felt the warmth of his palm leave yours, a slight hint of disappointment crossing your face. But you watched him work from your spot- a small flutter crossing your own stomach as you simply observed him work; watching as he carried the animal over his shoulder.
The walk back was quiet- nearly awkward. the two of you obviously had feelings for each other- but neither did a move. Neither dare to break the ice- no matter how thin it was melted at this point. And so; once back at the protocol building, you two parted ways as Sova went to start gutting his catch- you were going to change and shower as you waited for his message when he'd need help to cook.
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Your phone buzzed as you laid on your bed, now inside your dorm room inside the valorant protocol, except it wasn't Sova; instead it was Jett- one of the girls you had grown closer to from being on missions with her a lot. She had actually thought you a lot of new cooking methods and tasty recipes as she was a chef before becoming an agent.
Jett: 'Hey (Y-N), Saw you were out with your lover boy earlier 😁got a good catch too!'
The text message made your cheeks heat up a bit, shaking your head slightly.
You: ''Jett we aren't even dating, chill 😒. but yea, he got a fawn'
Jett: ''not dating *Yet* 😇 anywaysssss you guys need help with that? 👀''
You: '' help with making dinner or making a move-?? cause for dinner, yes-''
Jett: 'yes. I'll see y'all in the kitchen 😇'
you: ''Jett no matchmaker istg- and I'm omw, don't you dare do something stupid-''
And with that you finally got up and walked out of your dorm room, heading straight to the protocol's commune kitchen. You had a hunch Jett was going to try something and you didn't know if you should be scared or not.
You entered the kitchen to see the familiar white haired wind radiant and the hunter, both chatting as they seemed to be determining what to do with all the fawn meat. The conversation was casual, mainly Jett throwing suggestions to the tall blonde Russian man on what to make. You snuck in quietly, just observing at first. You waited for a moment to butt in- the moment coming sooner than later.
''Damn that fawn had some thick thighs if that's the size of the cut you made on it-'' Jett exclaimed, looking over the piece of meat Sova was talking about. ''That's what she said-'' You cut in with a giggle- the innuendo making both turn around to stare at you. Jett snorted- and Sova sighed, but still chuckled out softly. ''You couldn't help yourself, could you?'' Sova said as he looked at you, smiling.
''Nope-'' you retorted, but as you were going to follow up, Jett decided to add oil to the fire, playing a dangerous game when it came to your secret-not-so-secret crush on Sova and vice versa. '' I think (Y-N) can't help themselves on a lot of things- like yo-'' and just like that you were slapping a hand over Jett's mouth, glaring at her. ''finish that sentence and I ' wont help myself ' to tell phoenix you think he's hot-'' You threatened- as knowing Phoenix, he would never leave Jett alone even if she didn't tell him directly.
''Do it, I dare you-'' Jett said, muffled by your palm. Now, that wasn't the reply you expected; quite the opposite. You stared at her, blinking a few times before she followed up. ''Also-... look above you, (Y-N)" She added in a teasing tone, backing away instantly to show her grin, mischievous and wide. Something was definitely up- and it wasn't what you expected. And indeed- something was up, and it was a random piece of mistletoe leftover from Christmas she had tossed over your head- held in the air with her wind power.
You face palmed- but also realized her plan. The mistletoe was above you... And Sova. of course. Jett giggled, turning to face the wall as if she was trying to give a minimum of 'privacy'. You turned to Sova, who's face wash rosy at the same realization you had. There was a moment of silence where you both looked at each other without a word, almost as if to quietly ask if the other was okay with it. the few seconds turned to a minutes- and Jett was impatient. ''Just kiss you two, dammit!'' She exclaimed loudly, back still turned.
A bit clumsily, Sova raised a hand to cup your cheek, not breaking eye contact. No words were said as he leaned in, finally placing gentle kiss to your lips. You could feel a slight prickle from his shaved face, nothing bad though, as his lips moved slowly against yours. The man was trying hard to stay gentle and careful- not wanting to do anything you didn't want him doing at the moment.
And to his surprise, he didn't expect you to grab his collar when he went to pull away, holding him in place as you kissed him back, wanting to enjoy it for a moment longer. He let the hand cupping your cheek fall, now sliding down your shoulder, side to finish in the bottom curve of your back, his palm opened wide as he pushed you against him a bit. The simple move made your stomach flutter slightly again- it felt like a rom-com moment but you weren't complaining.
Then finally, where the seconds felt like minutes, you both pulled away, cheeks dusted in pink as you both looked at each other, forgetting completely about Jett and the dinner you were all going to make. His hand remained on your lower back- its warmth soothing you from any embarrassment that should've followed. '' Sova-'' you started but you got interrupted.
''Sasha. Just call me Sasha.'' He said softly, a smile gracing his features as he looked down to you. It was followed with another short moment of silence, as if the two were trying to figure out who should speak first- who should finally break the paper thin ice remaining between the two of you.
''Sasha I-'' ''(Y-N) I need to say-'' and yet again- the two pause, stammering a bit as the two kept accidentally talking over each other. After a few attempts, you both started to laugh- the situation was just becoming comical at this point. ''I like you. A lot.'' Sova finally said, once the giggling died down a bit to finally talk. The words came out naturally- practically stress free even though his feelings for you were finally worded out- finally out and voiced out for you to hear.
''I like you a lot too, Sasha.'' You replied, smiling softly up to the blonde man. Before anything else was said or done- Jett reminded them of her presence now that confessions were finally made. ''Finally! damn I can't believe Phoenix's idea with the mistletoe actually worked-'' Jett said, walking back to the two, laughing as her mischievous grin remained. ''anyways, we have a baby deer to cook, lets go!''

gonna yap/rant abt pronouns and my school so gonna bring up transphobes and harassment so here’s ur warning
so my school it’s great wtv they hv us all make e-mail signatures we’re going over this tomorrow as in it hasn’t been talked abt much yet but my first hour teacher releases her slides by unit so i can see them
and as i was looking over what we’re doing tomorrow i see we’re gonna review email, email etiquette, email signatures, ect
and part of the suggest email signature was pronouns
now i’m non-binary or genderfluid wtv so i usually go by they/them for ease (they/he/she is what’s in my bio but like for ease yk) thing is most people in my school aren’t super nice about trans things
like my area, even tho we’re really close to chicago, is quite conservative like it’s scary
so ik putting they/them might get me harassed but i don’t wanna not put pronouns cuz then i look like a bigot who “doesn’t hv pronouns” and like neither is good especially bc i’m not out to my parents but i feel like they wouldn’t mind or care and i feel like it would be kinda hard to catch onto as well
but like iver been harassed for being lesbian before and that was lowkey traumatizing but that was some girl from middle school like highschool is so diff and that was a priv school so like
but then again the book i bring to classes is fucking she gets the girl i mean i’ve stated i primarily listen to girl in red and chappell roan i mean dress pretty grungy i mean i wear way more eyeliner than the average straight girl
when they said u never stop coming out they meant it
#sry btw if this is hard to read i just needed to yap abt this and punctuation is annoying#lgbtq#lgbt#lgbtqia#lgbtq community#trans#non binary#nonbinary#nonbinary pride#genderqueer#genderfluid#pronouns#trans stuff#gender stuff#you don’t suck*#just yappin#lil rant#rant post

Help a country with their fight for press freedom and against censorship! Sign the petition
It only takes a minute and is completely free! (tutorial below)
To make a long story short: The parlament of Slovakia wants to implement a law so all media in the country will be controlled by the government. Media outlets that dare to be critical will either be bought out by the government and heavily censored or completely shut down. This is a crime against the freedom of speech and the press freedom.
A signature campaign has been started by Progresivne Slovensko (Progressive Slovakia) to combat this. You can sign too, they only need a name and e-mail adress.
Help us preserve the freedom of speech and media by signing the petition:
Let me show you how:
All you need is to fill in your name, surname and e-mail.
Then you check the first box. Translated it says: call "Stop censorship"
Don't check the second button unless you want to get updates from Progresivne Slovensko (Progressive Slovakia)
And then you click the big blue button
You will receive a thank you e-mail
"Thank you for your signature. Courageous journalists are now risking their livelihoods to defend media independence. It is important to show them that we stand behind them in this fight. The more we are, the stronger our voice will be.
Do not hesitate to share the open letter with your friends and on social networks. Together we can defend the free media."
Help us show the government that we will not stay still when they try to take our freedom of speech away!
More than 13.000 people have already signed
