Also a 12yo girl who somehow inherited her dad's gang/ mafia family and mainly uses them to help bulied students and create jobs for the homeless.

And a timetraveling witch that tutors and exorcises demons as their buisness front to launder money through.

the three of them get together every weekend at church and have started a smell fight club with the pastor's enby child.

Shizuo gay panicking for the 1st when he bumps into Izaya after school during sunset hour n ohh how the black haired mf looks good w/ the sky's colors n the sun shining on him... Shizu realizes the weird feeling after a while and breaks the street sign that's near him by accident (alerting Izaya of his presence, who runs away), he chases after the flea n when he finally manages to corner Izaya he simply gives him the crumpled stop sign he's been holding all this time and leaves

In a "Pickle"

"Errrrrggggg, huff huff, hngggrrrrrr!" Izaya grunted. "Why can't I get this damn lid off!?"

Izaya tried using the counter next. "Damn it. I just want to make spaghetti!"

He then got on the floor. "Why. Won't. It. Open!" He finally gave up.

"The only way...to get this open....is if I had inhuman strength." He panted. Suddenly he sat up with an idea dancing around his head. "THAT'S IT!"

A little later Shizuo was walking down the street at work. He and Tom had split up since they had more clients today than usual. He suddenly came across a suspicious jar in the road.

"What is this?" He narrowed his eyes at it. "Looks like...tomato sauce...." He looked around but the street was empty. "Weird..."

He picked up the jar and opened it to give a look and a sniff. "Yep, definitely tomato sauce."

"YOHOOOOOO! Shizu-chan! Who let you out of your cage?" A voice made Shizuo look up.

"What the fuck are you doing you stupid flea!?" Shizuo shouted up at Izaya, who was sitting on a railing.

"I heard a beast broke out of the Zoo and wanted to see for myself. Seems the rumors are true! Didn't expect it to be so ugly though. Perhaps I should alert animal control?" Izaya taunted.

"WHY YOU!" Shizuo yelled and threw the jar at Izaya.

Izaya jumped up on the railing and to Shizuo's surprise he pulled out a catchers mitt. Izaya caught the jar with ease and grinned madly down at Shizuo. "Thanks beasty!" He called down before running away leaving Shizuo more confused than anything.

Back at home Izaya went to open his jar only to find the lid even tighter than before. "Ugh, how did that monster manage to make it worse?"

"You know you could have waited till I came home after work idiot." Shizuo scolded Izaya in the kitchen.

"Yeah but I was hungry!" Izaya spat. "Maybe you shouldn't put the lids on so tight!"

Shizuo rolled his eyes. "Maybe you should learn to ASK me for help instead of being a hateful lil pest."

"Yeah right, it's like you don't even know me." Izaya grumbled, still trying to open the jar.

what creatures are in your game?

This is lowkey a hard question to answer because the world BA takes place in is one I created way back in middle school. And as 12 year olds tend to do, there's a whole bunch of weird things I just Made Up.

I did nickname it The Fairytale World, so in general if you can think of a creature from fairytales or folklore they're likely in here (except large creatures like dragons or Phoenixes. I know I know, how does a fairytale world not have dragons?)

I'm not entirely sure if anything beyond human magic users (magicians, witches, mages, and warlocks), ghosts, and wraiths will make an appearance though. There may be mentionings of other things but idk if they'll appear on page.

Also, if someone doesn't have magic in their veins though, they can't see/sense/feel any magic. Unless something pretty severe happens, when looking at a magical creature or witnessing the use of magic a person's brain kinda just sees something different then what's actually going on or what's in front them.

watched the first two episodes of oshi no ko a while back (REALLY FUCKING GOOD, ive been a manga reader for a while but i stopped reading the recent chapters and basically forgot everything except for the major points and god it’s so satisfying to have the adaptation remind me of what i’ve forgotten in the most beautiful way possible)

but this post isnt about onk, it’s about izaya!! izaya orihara!! lets fucking goooooooooo izaya idol au!!!! i cant get this flea out of my BRAIN

i was about to open a new canvas to draw some more shizaya stuff for my animatic that im never gonna finish and i was like huh. maybe i should draw onk fanart. and then i remembered this art of venti genshin impact with ai’s eyes and i remembered thinking man i hope this becomes an artist trend for people to do with their art blorbos! and then i was like OH. guess i could contribute to the trend by drawing izaya with ai’s eyes

and then i started thinking and i was like huh. Ai’s never experienced love from her parents, doesn’t think she knows how to love or how to express it, doesn’t get attached to others easily, is a perpetual liar, became an idol because she hoped she would learn how to love - oh hey doesnt. that. sound like izaya. just a little bit. not exactly, her character goes into more learning how to love/that she can love while izaya’s character is i can love but only impersonally because i’m afraid of getting hurt and his arc would be learning to let his walls down for his own good

SO for izaya idol au, izaya would become an idol because he wants to experience love, or something along the lines of “there’s no greater demonstration of parasocial love and foolish decision making than in the idol industry! ahaha~” and probably “idols are perfect liars and i need to put myself into their shoes so i can become an even better liar and close myself off to any possibility of falling in love that could ever exist”

there’s a lot of reasons he might want to become an idol, really. there’s so much corruption and behind-the-scenes dealing and lies and facades and shit in the entertainment industry that i think izaya would eat for breakfast. he would LOVE witnessing that shit and making his own shady deals and stuff and occasionally ruining lives and watching people rise and fall down the rankings and tear each other down. plus the people who are in it for passion rather than money are fascinating as well. psychology student’s dream really- i mean what this is definitely about izaya and not me projecting

plus he definitely has the looks for it (narita would hard agree given how many times he’s indirectly called izaya attractive through other characters. we love a canonically hot king)

now i need to make everything shizaya because i’m not okay but i have no idea who shizuo would be lmao

like you could make him some up and coming manager (no age difference stuff here sorry lmao) or a fellow idol (doubtful. shizuo can act cute but i dont think he could dance) or an actor like akane/kana or a streamer??? like memcho (my favorite character)

a mangaka/screenplay writer/writer in general could also work but i feel like you’d have less reason to interact with idols that way

idk how japanese idol groups work for men in particular or if there’s even like a market for that :sob: id have to look into that if i actually started making stuff for this au

alternatively izaya crossdresses as a female idol and somehow no one realizes. except for shizuo. that would be hilarious actually. he refuses to do swimsuit modeling or other provocative stuff and his fans are like “oh?? the brazen kanra-chan is unexpectedly shy?? how cute” and he plays into it but inwardly he’s like. god i know exactly how im gonna go out with a bang when i retire. and shizuo watches him playing at being shy on tv knowing that that motherfucker is planning to strip on his last days as an idol

anyway this is just me spitballing ideas but ill definitely write at least a concept/intro fanfic of this at some point so stay tuned lmAo im just about to run out of writing juices on ABAON so i gotta transfer my energy somewhere else and where better than the idol!izaya au

never in my life have i ever read april 3rd but im very much tempted by your comics. i also love it when ppl got so so inspired so deeply affected by a work they feel the need to recreate it through their own interpretation. all hail izaya's "^_^" face.

Oh my god, I was not notified of this, terribly sorry for my delay. But yes you should try reading april 23rd, I’d love to collect your tears as a souvenir. My Hero Academia AU: Ambush Simulation

Aight, storytime:

So awhile back, I was thinking about Episodes 4 & 5 of the anime Soul Eater where the gang is tasked with capturing two villains, the zombie Sid and the guy who resurrected him, Professor Stein.  (There’s also the added stakes that if they fail in this task, they’ll be expelled from school.)  After a somewhat harrowing fight, defeating Sid and losing to Stein, the plot twist is this was never a real fight, Stein and Sid were not villains, and this whole thing was just a test that was orchestrated and sanctioned by the school and definitely skewed more toward hazing than actual education.

And I thought, what if that’s all the Vanguard Action Squad was during the Summer Camp Arc?  Just a test orchestrated by UA that skewed more toward hazing than actual education. (Note:  These are the traditional LoV members, so Muscular, Mustard, and Moonfish are not part of this line-up.) At the very least, that would probably be the meanest ruse Aizawa has pulled. And you can't tell me Principal Nezu wouldn't have been all in for this plan.

"It happened once at the USJ. Despite our precautions, it could happen again. Let's teach them how to prepare...by scaring the absolute shit out of them."

"Ambush Simulation" is playing off my earlier AU comic with Shigaraki being the adopted nephew of All Might and leading a pretty normal life.  The rest of the squad is more or less in the same boat. For context, Touya’s canon divergence is he returned home after the three-year comatose and actually stayed there, but since nothing about that household environment really changed, he’s still an unhinged mess, but that is a whole other kettle of fish best saved for another comic. (Clearly getting a kick out of the prospect of scaring a bunch of kids, including his brother, half to death, though.)  Toga’s home life is rocky at best after ‘the incident,’ but she’s no longer a runaway teen.  Everybody else just kinda fell in with each other.

Their role as a vigilante team was inspired by the series Durarara!, specifically Kadota and his crew for anyone who's familiar. I genuinely forgot the Vigilantes spinoff existed...sigh, it's been awhile and I only recently got back in this fandom. The Vanguard is pretty much living by a 'you're only in trouble if you get caught,' philosophy. (And the nepotism has probably saved all their asses a few times because it doesn't look good for the No. 2 Hero if his eldest son is busted for vigilantism.)
