Going back to the ducks again I suppose haha
this is one of my many Ducktales Aus! Where Brass was raised by Bradford instead of both Bradford and Cassidy! So he grows up around the same time as Webby! Following the events of the show in the background until he isn’t
for a brief moment he got to hang out with May and June, but I like to think June got more attached to Brass than May did lol
he’s like, ok? With them? He’s had… experience with the McDucks, so he’s not totally on board. But they are kinda like little sisters figures for a moment! Even though they remind him of Webby and the other kids

The Life of Brian Buzzard
It started as a perfectly average day for the old buzzard. His routine ticked on as usual, wake up, get ready for the day, get coffee, drive to work. He could hear the car that stopped next to him at the light blaring Crane Carpenter’s ‘We’ve Only Just Begun’ through their opened window, even though the song isn’t as nearly as bad as the other modern trash kids are playing these days it still annoyed him no less have it drown out his quiet drive. Once the light turned green he wasted no time to get away from that car.
His work at S.H.U.S.H. Was just as uneventful if not a little taxing trying to balance the books with all the chaotic escapades they get into… especially with that philanthropist McDuck interfering with missions. That hurricane of a duck had been giving him a migraine ever since his first mission with S.H.U.S.H. Throwing his finances into a tizzy, giving him more messes to clean up, MORE WORK, and that’s just with his day job…
By evening, the buzzard had showed up at F.O.W.L. H.Q. with a briefcase of S.H.U.S.H. financial notes, not to share with his partner in crime, it was the leftover work of the day that he needed to finish on top of running F.O.W.L. from the shadows it seemed like there was no rest for him anymore.
Things only became more restless once Black Heron burst into his office as manic as ever, “I’VE DONE IT! IT’S BRILLIANT I TELL YOU! THE SCHEME THAT WILL HAVE US RULING THE WORLD MWAHAHAHAH!”
The sudden ruckus caused the old buzzard’s pen to streak across the paper as he was shaken in his seat.
“Heron! Do you EVER knock!?” He asked, exasperated.
“Who has time to knock when evil is afoot?” she retorted while rubbing her hands together with minising glee.
The old man was already beginning to tune her out as he looked at the runed paper with frustration. Maybe he could just white-out the imperfection and that that would be good enough… As he carefully fixed the paper and continued with the paperwork he could still hear her gabbing away about something involving the stone of what-was but he was too busy to pay attention while he was hunched over mantaling his work. He only gave her an off-handed “Mm… Mm-hmm” as acknowledgement, just hoping she’d leave him in peace soon.
Suddenly Heron’s bionic fist slammed down on the table, jolting him back to reality.
“Will you PLEASE pay attention to my evil schemes of world domination!?”
With a sigh he took off his glasses to rub the bridge of his beak, “How many times do I have to repeat myself, we do not do ‘evil schemes’ because we are NOT VILLAINS!”
Heron rolled her eyes, “Oh whatever, just listen to my-”
“Heron, please! I am far too busy to listen to your ideas right now.” He interrupted with his eyes still on the papers, “I'm already far behind schedule with these invoices. Could you pitch whatever you had in mind later?”
“But you always say that!” she complained and flopped her torso on the desk dramatically, “You’ve been too busy for any of my plans, it’s almost like you don’t want to take over the world.”
Her covering his work with her body only annoyed him more. “Of course I do but between S.H.U.S.H. and my work here I just don’t have time for anything else right now.”
“Hmmm… If only you could be in two places at once, riiiight?” She said as she craned her resting chin between her thumb and finger with a smug crooked grin.*
The buzzard sat in silence staring at her for a moment, now interested in where she was going with this but also dreading it too. “Yes… I suppose so…”
“Well now you can! We’ll just use the stone of what-was to clone you and let him worry about your boring day job while we take over the world!” She announced as she stood up straight and flung her arms in the air with pazazz.
“That sounds… like such a bad idea.” he replied exhaustedly, “It’s too unpredictable. How do we know it won’t turn evil or god forbid reveal my involvements with F.O.W.L.?”
“That’s the beauty of it, I will have your memories, your personality, It will know not to step out of line. And if it is flawed we’ll just replace it and make an example out of it to its replacement.”
He was still skeptical about the whole thing but she was very persuasive, this was all just giving him another headache on top of the pressure he was already under. “I… I need some time to think about it…”
“That’s not a ‘no’~!”
“It’s not a ‘Yes’ either!” He snapped, and pointed his pen at her accusingly “I meant it when I said I don’t want any unauthorized experiments, especially ones that involve me, do you understand?”
“Of course, Of course, I’ll give you your time to think.” She assuredly backed away with her hands up. She backed into the open doorway with a confident smile, “Let me know when you make a decision on my offer,” she slowly began to shut the door but she kept her head in his view and added, “When you’re not ‘too busy’...” and with that her head disappeared and the door completely closed.
He was finally left alone in the room. Despite that the ever present stress weighed heavy on his chest as he stared at the unfinished work. The old buzzard leaned forward burying his face in his hands, letting out another sigh, then leaned back in his chair with his eyes still closed. The room was getting stuffy, he could feel the moisture in the air become unbearable, it was getting hard to breathe…
He couldn't breathe.
His eyes could barely open but he couldn't see.
He couldn’t breathe!
HE CAN’T BREATH!
The buzzard clone inside the tank was finally ready to emerge and by the way it was pressing its hands against the glass it seemed eager to be out. The viscous fluid that drained from the tank finally lowered below his head, leaving it free to take his first breath.
It gasped, coughing and sputtering. It tried rubbing the fluid from his eyes but it was a fruitless endeavor, he was covered in the stuff. Finally the tank was fully drained and the hatch opened. The clone took his first steps into the cold air. He looked around the room for Black Heron furiously but couldn't see anything clearly through the fluid in his eyes.
“COUGH...Heron!" He weakly called out through a fit of coughs, “This is your doing isn't it!? I told you no unauthor—! COUGH–COUGH” Another fit of coughs made it impossible to chastise anyone properly.
With his outstretched arm he tried feeling his way around the room, trying not to show how frightened and confused he truly felt. His emotions were already raw but he was not about to give whoever might be watching the satisfaction of seeing him panic.

Magical creatures and adventurers are too dangerous to be kept around, I think we should gather them all up and put them into just one location all together. This will surely not backfire on me later.
The finale of DuckTales (2017) is hilarious to me because while I do understand why FOWL made the choices they made, I just can’t help but think about the irony
Bradford: the world is in constant chaos on unpredictability!
Bradford: most of this is connected to Scrooge McDuck and his family!
Bradford: Scrooge’s family just keeps getting bigger and bigger and so does this problem!
Bradford: we must stop this!!
Bradford: now let’s achieve this by cloning Scrooge a daughter and making his already growing family even larger!
Black Heron: sounds good to me, I’m really just coming along for the ride
#also when I'm done with these little clone girls I'm going to vaporize them#I'm the good guy btw#fuck Bradford Buzzard#Bradford Buzzard DNI#ducktales

I've been encounter some post about a DuckTales review on youtube. I haven't seen it since the title said "the finale I hate" and I love the finale. If you hate the finale, well, is your choice and no one should tell you that you're wrong.
But, what I saw in one of those post was the phrase "I hate May and June".
Is pretty obvious that I don't share that opinion at all. So, I want to tell you about this pair of twins that stole my heart.
This post was originally made during the round 3 of the best Ducktales episode poll.
We met May and June in the series finale. They were the big twist. Webby has been cloned, what the hell?
Oh God, they're adorable. The sweetest girls ever.
Donald kwen it right away. Just look how he's looking at them.
They just wanted to be part of a family.
But then, the betrayal. May and June were spies sent by FOWL. But let's make something clear, they play evil, but they're not. They're just a confused and scared twins, that wanted answers and would do anything for it.
Even when they're in evil mode, they're both so adorable… I can't even…
When they felt the answers that so desperately seeking been so close, her excitement was palpable. They only want to be loved.
When Bradford killed Heron, he also killed a bit of May and June. Breaking their hearts was unforgivable. Thanks for Webby for give them the chance no one ever gave them.
And they took it. Oh God, that was so cool.
"This girls… they're are my daughters now…"
Even so, the twins still have their doubts. But Lena couldn't said it better.
"You belong right here."
What if I start cry now?
Donald taking the girls to his world trip was the best way to end May and June story. You just know that they're gonna be alright. It won't be easy, but they now have parents to help them.
They're going to be loved.
The girls hugging Violet, and flying with Lena is the last time we saw them.
But man, I wanted more. I wanted so much more. I wanted to see them be happy, be in adventures with the McDuck clan, be silly and funny with the rest of the kids.
I love Ducktales, and it breaks my heart knowing that I'll never see May and June again. We can even add Lena, Violet, Boyd, and Gosalyn (this version at least).
The finale was enough for me to learn to love May and June. I'll always protect them, I'll always be on their side.
They deserve everything good in this world.

Are we talking about the Papyrus now? Screw it, I’ll talk about the Papyrus now.
Back in 2022, I was involved in a conversation with some other people on Tumblr regarding the finale of DuckTales and the Papyrus of Binding, and I pitched sort of a “what if?” scenario that, in some ways, make the twist a bit more plausible (I’m not ignoring canon altogether, but just bear with me here. I repeat: This is not in complete ignorance of the actual twist we got, I was fine with it; this is pure speculation):
The whole reveal scene goes the same, but instead, Von Drake reveals that Webby is a clone of Beakley. Huey then asks how it would be possible that Webby was able to get the Papyrus if she wasn’t blood. Von Drake then explains a “non-blood heir” loophole.
In the finale, there already was a loophole to Bradford’s contract in regards to Scrooge having to choose between his family and adventure (since family is an adventure in and of itself), so realistically, there could also be a loophole worked into the Papyrus. In that instance, the show’s whole idea of found family would be strengthened all the more.
I feel like Webby’s interactions with Scrooge (and Beakley) after this scene could be easily tweaked to reflect all this. Just toss out all the parental references and go with sort of an affirmation of how just because Webby is not a blood relation to the family, it doesn’t mean she’s not part of it, and it sure doesn’t mean that she’s any less worthy of the Papyrus than any of Scrooge’s blood relatives. I mean, the girl freakin’ idolizes him! She is a born adventurer, even without the clone twist that we actually got.

The finale of DuckTales is deeply flawed
I don’t know if I’m alone in thinking this, but I’ve always wanted to explain this to someone.
It’s not all bad. It’s actually an enjoyable watch, it’s fun and charming like most episodes are. The animation is incredible, even more so then it usually is, there’s lots of great moments that are really beautiful. I also enjoy a fair few of the plot moments, the one that stands out most to me is Scrooge immediately surrendering to Bradford the second he threatens to kill Donald, saying “it’s not worth the risk.” Really, all of Bradford’s eventual surrender to petty villainy is well done.
I will likely end up making a post talking more in-depth about why the finale is great, but that is not this post. This post is strictly about the flaws in the plot of the finale.
A few important notes:
I am not a genius media critic, I’m an asshole on Tumblr. This is entirely my opinion and if you love this episode/this one is your favorite I am genuinely happy for you. I understand that it can suck to have someone criticize your favorite piece of media, and if you don’t want to hear this then I don’t want you to hear it either. (/gen)
I, as a person, am very resistant to change. I find it difficult to cope with extreme changes to form in the media I love. I tried to look at this from a non-biased perspective, and I think I did a good enough job, but I’m sure my personal bias slipped through the cracks very frequently.
The very final episode made me cry, despite all this. I cried because the end credits were so sweet and I cried because it was over. I was watching the end credits and I cried. So, that’s something.
I will refer to the three part finale as “The episode” throughout, because this is the easiest way for me to understand it. I will specify if I am talking about a specific part, but for the most time it is just “This Episode” or “The finale”
Actual Episode Criticism:
I think May and June were a terrible idea. I think that the reveal that Webby is a F.O.W.L clone of Scrooge was also a terrible idea. I think the episode has too many plot twists and characters thrown in and it means hardly anything truly meaningful happens.
I believe that May and June were a harmful addition to the finale and the overall canon of the show. Strictly speaking from a finale perspective, they are completely new characters who take up a large portion of the finale of a show, especially in the first part. The episode should not have centered around new characters, but instead been a grand final adventure with the existing characters all having their moments, but especially showcasing the McDucks.
They divert so much of the time of the episode away from other characters that nobody else really gets to shine. Huey, Dewey and Louie sort of get replaced by Webby, May and June. They feel like the new triplets because it’s literally Webby and two clones of her. However, instead of being three distinct personalities, they’re all just literally clones of Webby, personality and all. I have nothing against Webby, but I don’t think having three of her running around taking up 60% of screen time in the finale was good.
The “Webby is a Scrooge Clone” thing is dumb as hell. Especially because Webby calls Scrooge “Dad” at the end of the end of the episode. I’ll get in to this more in a second, but it sort of shits on the message that family isn’t blood. I don’t think Webby needs to see Scrooge as a father. It also doesn’t make sense that they made her a girl, even though trans Scrooge/Webby is a good thought, it’s not canonical.
This is also another twist that they shouldn’t have thrown in last second, because it’s such a large idea to flesh-out. I’m glad they kept it for the finale though, strictly because I would not have enjoyed the arc of Scrooge and Webby being Father/Daughter. Especially because it doesn’t make sense, like if May and June are “sisters” to Webby and they’re clones of her, wouldn’t Scrooge be more like a brother? At least save Webby calling him “Uncle Scrooge” for this grand moment at the end, if you’re going to go to this terrible twist.
These two plots shit directly on the face of whatever message the show was saying up to that point, that “Family is just the people who love you.” Because when May and June show up, Webby immediately begins calling them her sisters because they have the same blood as her. She goes directly against the wishes of the people who, up to that point, were her actual family. Just for two girls who are F.O.W.L spies and who she doesn’t know.
Webby being genetically identical to Scrooge also flies in the face of this a little, because it makes it so that the Papyrus appearing to her, and Webby and Scrooge being family, arguable as being because they are genetically related. This is not the point the show is trying to make, but it still is an argument to be made. Why do they have to be biologically related at all? Why can’t they just be family?
Especially because this show had, for a while, done such a good job portraying non-standard family dynamics. An uncle raising his sister’s kids? A grandmother raising her (adopted) granddaughter? Both in non-standard environments? We don’t often see things like this casually portrayed. But with the return of Della and the Dad-ification of Scrooge it almost feels like they’re saying families aren’t complete without a mom or a dad. Even though they aren’t saying that, it’s still there.
Gosh this post is getting long. Last thing, nobody gets any screen time. So many characters are in this episode, and they had 60 minutes to use them all, but so much of it was dedicated to Webby, May and June that it’s nearly impossible for anybody else to get a complete arc. Webby and Huey are separated from the rest of the McDucks for a while, which would be fine except they don’t even really get a proper reunion. Webby doesn’t get one at all, and Huey gets a quick “I’m so happy to see you, I used your book to find you.” Before they are immediately captured again. Most of the cast actually spends a large portion of the part just before the climax in cells, not being a part of the action.
I mean, Gyro has a few references yo feeling like he’s “losing his touch” before it’s never a big deal again. Della is mad that Donald is leaving but they don’t ever talk about it and then Della just decides it’s okay. Donald never interacts with May and June before deciding to take them on his boat with Daisy. B.O.Y.D, Goaslyn, Violet and Lena don’t really do anything at all, except for B.O.Y.D and Lena having some plot point that no one else really would have been able to do (Reprogramming the Gizmoduck armor and making the ship invisible.) I think that the addition of these characters feels forced, when they should have been a natural addition to a grand adventure finale.
Overall:
May and June are unnecessary and hinder the other characters relationships and I don’t think Webby should be genetically related to Scrooge because then it feels less like “Found Family”. I think nobody gets enough screen time except Webby and her clones, but I don’t think they should have been the focus of the episode.
I’m sorry this post was so long, remember that I don’t hate watching this episode. I just think that the finale of my favorite cartoon should have been handled better.
#ducktales 2017#the last adventure#episode review#ducktales#please don’t take this too seriously I just have been thinking about this for a while#I won’t tag every character but I will tag:#may duck#june duck#webby vanderquack#because this is mostly about them#one thing that has always bothered me was that Dewey and Louie don’t open with ‘Huey is missing’ when talking to Della and Donald#but it’s because this episode is about Webby so they have to bring her up first#no hate to Webby but she should not have been the central focus#especially if the moral was going to come across as ‘actually genetics to matter a little’#I’m sorry about this

Introducing: Jay!! My ducktales oc!! (If it wasn't blatantly obvious lmao)
Do you want to know more about them? No? Too bad!
Jay, aka January was the first ever clone F.O.W.L. created. However, due to a lab accident, Jay ended up not only with scrooge's DNA, but also Bradford's. Deeming the clone a "failure", Heron drops the created baby off at an orphanage.
(Bradford becomes enraged when he later learns of this - a child with his and scrooge mcduck's dna?? Just out there??? Has Heron no concept how problematic that could shake out to be???)
Jay spends the first 9 years of their life kinda bouncing from foster home to foster home (kinda developing a bit of a thing abt people seeing them eat. Because of how their beak is a bit weirdly aligned, they can't eat quite the same as most others, and people stare.). But eventually they scrape together enough resources for like, one of those online-dna testing kits that spit out who you're related to.
Turns out their parents are Scrooge McDuck!!! (And some random vulture guy? Weird)
Thus, Jay sets out to become an adventurer like their dad, to meet him one day on their adventures!
Except, first adventure they immediately get trapped in a parallel, kind of very hellish dimension. They get out after three years, but they're pretty traumatized - and pretty much pu off of adventuring forever.
(Though they do find and keep a magic amulet in [hell dimension] that they use to cast spells. Mostly teleportation spells, really.)
Deciding they don't really want to meet a guy who's whole schtick is adventuring, they instead begin their search for dad#2, that vulture guy.
They find out he works for scrooge mcdad (of course he does) but don't judge him too harshly yet. From what they can find online (public libraries for the win!) the guy doesn't really... Do anything. Let alone go on adventures.
So Jay decides to find out where he lives and well, just kinda shows up at his door.
Much surprise is had, it's not quite the family reunion Jay was hoping for but they haven't been kicked out so they count it as a win.
Staying with their dad is pretty great, actually. He even hires a private tutor for homeschooling, since Jay missed 3 years of school and has a lot of catching up to do.
(they definitely hoard food in their room somewhere, just in case. They also have a bug-out bag ready at any given time. Just in case.)
Turns out, Dadford doesn't only also hate adventuring with a passion - he has a whole secret organization to take over the world and stop all adventuring! Forever!
(Jay found a secret stash of files on the computer they use for video games.)
Thus, at the ripe age of 13 they become the youngest FOWL agent ever!
And because they are kind of a big security risk now that they know, they get moved out to live in the outpost at the library of Alexandria instead, together with a bunch of the villains Dadford recruited.
(including Phantom Blot who Jay has an ongoing rivalry with just because they use magic sometimes lol)
(they and the villains play mario kart/party together on sundays)
Eventually, (three years later) season 1 happens and seeing the mcduck family successfully overcome the rift that della's absence left, dadford decides to put one of his better pawns into play.
Through some posturing, magic pyrotechnics and a fake mystical artefact, Jay gets planted into the mcduck family as scrooge's "magic child/clone".
(this happens during the episode "The Depths of Cousin Fethry", while huey and dewey are out meeting their cousin, scrooge, louie and webby go to find an invaluable treasure and return with Jay. Cue scrooge introducing Jay as his kid and Huey and Dewey going "wtf did we miss")
They go along on an adventure or two, mainly because saying "I hate adventuring and I don't want to do it because I was traumatized and hate it" doesn't make sense for someone who was just created from an ancient magic artefact. But after a couple adventures they can finally just put their foot down and stay home. It's chill.
They draw sometimes, do a few commissions.
Scrooge wants to bond with them so they teach him how to play video games and they watch some shows together.
Eventually, the last adventure rolls around.
At the point where Webby pretends to be June and kidnaps... Herself (yknow what part i mean. Probably) Jay comes with the clones, obviously shocking Webby.
But they make it to the library without any particular incident - except Huey getting discovered, obviously.
Jay stays behind to "escort June and Webby". They've very much realized the switcheroo that Webby pulled and use their (thus far mostly benign) magic to switcheroo back.
They nod to June, explaining that they didn't say anything earlier so that Director Dad doesn't get on her case too bad about "failing".
After that, Jay kinda just goes off to hang out a bit. Drink some pep. Chill.
On the way to Webby's cell, she wakes up and takes out June. (Because of course she does. She's Webby.)
Cue the rest of the finale.
Right up until Dadford is fighting McDuck and his fam. Because now, he calls Jay forward, who kinda immobilizes the fam with their magic for a bit.
Dadford throws his employees into the death pit, but oh shock! He picks up to throw Jay in as well.
And he does. He does throw them in.
Luckily, Jay is a master at magical teleportation and nobody realizes they weren't, in fact, erased from existence.
Bla bla bla, scrooge signs the papyrus, "family is the greatest adventure of all", boom the other vilalins show up to defeat dadford once and for all.
But what's this? It's Jay, with a magical barrier, protecting her dad from being turned into a non-sentient vulture!
They teleport themself and Dadford outta there.
At this point they're assuming they got thrown in the pit as a sort of surprise/back up, to make everyone think FOWL was already defeated when they were still there and alive. Yknow, a backup plan.
They live on the street for a bit, but Jay manages to get a job, securing the two of them an aprtment.
Dadford doesn't rlly come out of his room for a while.
Jay gets it; having ur thirty year-long plan derailed like that couldn't be, yknow, pleasant.
At some point, Louie finds them at their job and basically blackmails them into helping him out during adventures. (They kinda hide in his shadow, basically/louie summons them, so when something particularly dangerous happens they can subtly magic it away.)
Dadford eventually emerges from his room and drops the bombshell we all already knew: he very much did intend to kill Jay that day.
Jay is kinda shellshocked. They sort of robotically just return to their routine; go to work.
Louie summons them to deal with an adventure again, and wouldn't u know it? Its an adventure in that hell dimension that Jay got stuck in as a kid.
This, coupled with the revelation that one of their dads tried to kill them, kinda makes them very uncareful. They get revealed to the rest of the family but manage to get everyone out of there.
They reveal that Louie's been blackmailing them and the fact dadford tried to actually kill them sorta spills out in the same, emotionally charged rant and to their surprise scrooge offers to allow them back in the mansion, despite everything.
Jay hesitantly accepts, but mentions that they would like to keep working their current job. This is agreeable to everyone.
Jay returns to their apartment later, under the cover of "going to work" and find dadford packing his things.
They're like, what r u doing? Where would u even go?
And he's like, idk, i'll dip into my grandma's account or smth, its not like u want me here anymore, what with the attempted murder.
And Jay's like, I didn't say that.
Stunned silence.
So anyway, Jay sighs and tells dadford he's allowed to stay at the apartment and that Jay will stay at the manor again.
This is how far ive gotten. If u have any ideas/thoughts/complaints, drop 'em somewhere i can see 'em!
If anyone's even read this far lol.
If u have, have a virtual cookie, you've earned it🍪

So I finished DuckTales (2017), my thoughts:
⚠️ Spoilers ahead ⚠️
- Bradford Buzzard:
His feelings for hating adventure and chaos is valid but he should have told his grandma to fuck off and got therapy instead of trying to destroy it. Also its not his fault that Della took the Spear of Selene even if he told her about it.
You can’t have one thing without the other, there must be chaos if there is stability and vice versa.
- Webbigail Vanderquack and Bentina Beakly (Agent 22):
It was a good twist, but it makes me question where FOWL got Scrooge’s DNA to make Webby and why her exact clones (sisters) aren’t perceived as Scrooges kid like Webby is.
My theory: “The Papyrus of Binding only appears to a direct heir of Scrooge McDuck” I think it mean’s physically and emotionally. If June and May are Webby’s clones that means they are just as much Scrooge’s physical child as Webby is, except they don’t have a relationship with Scrooge. Scrooge even before knowing Webby was his kid thought of her like his Grandniece, like family, making her an heir like the boys.
For how much Beakly talked about how important and strong a family is together when getting the boys to talk to Scrooge again in Season 1, it doesn’t make much sense to have her go in alone without informing the family of what she knows of FOWL from SHUSH.
Goldie O’Gilt:
I love her so much, except in the ImpossiBin episode, there she was okay. At the end of the ImpossiBin episode Goldie calls Scooge assuming he took the fountain of youth when they agreed to keep it for both of them, (she went back to steal it for herself so she says). They made progress in the Youth Fountain episode and having Goldie call him about it being gone kinda defeats the whole purpose of their bonding in that episode. Except I understand they needed a character to tell him it was gone like the other missing mysteries but I find it defeated the whole point.
Lena and Violet Saberwing:
To me it looked like Violet’s parents adopted Lena and I’m all for that. Also love the hinted gay rep with their dads.
Magica De spell:
While it was Scrooge that blocked her spell, it was still her spell that she shot that turned her brother into a raven. Theres no reason or obligation for Scrooge to have caught him and give him to her when they were both terrible people. If anything her brother got a new chance at life as a raven instead.
I wish there was kinda a redemption arc when she was training Lena, if not for Lena a little redemption for Gladstone because I like those two.
Fenton Crackshell (GizmoDuck) and DarkWing Duck:
I like Drake with Fenton regardless if he’s Drake or playing DarkWing but I feel like he needs to accept that GizmoDuck is also a hero. Bro needs to know the difference between hero and vigilante.
Fenton is pretty bbg too <3
Launchpad McQuack:
Giant himbo and I love him so much.
Daisy Duck:
Love her, not much else to say. She had standards, that was clear when we heard what she said while driving away from their second date except she still fell in love and was willing to put up with Donald enough to go rescue him and keep going out. Overall a girl boss <3
Huey, Dewey and Louie:
While Dewey should have come forward earlier about looking for Della I understand his intentions more then Huey did when he found out. Louie was right, its not okay, but in the beginning Dewey was just trying to find if she was alive or not, not where she was. He was sorry because he ‘got caught’, he was genuinely sorry. It’s difficult to want to tell someone you’re finding all this stuff about someone you all seek when none of you know if they’re even alive or not. Dewey didn’t want them to lose hope that Della may be alive even if he found out she might not have. Yes he should have told them but I understand he didn’t want to them to be more hurt that she’s unalive instead of just missing. Also they aren’t even teenagers and communication skills are ass with teenagers what makes you think they’ll be any better as 10 year olds?
Again, their anger is misplaced when they’re mad at Scrooge for building a Spear of Selene.
Scrooge McDuck (sugar daddy?):
I like his character and I feel theres a bit of development through out the show with him and the kids, to be a teacher you need to be able to learn from your students.
While yes, he shouldn’t have built the rocket right there he also didn’t tell Della about it. Not his fault she left. Also the audacity to find out it wasn’t really his fault or the fact he nearly went bankrupt looking for her and they didn’t apologize at all.
Donald Duck (DILF):
Literally the best man in the whole show. He put his family first the whole time even when he should have taken breaks except he stepped up. We know that he had some form of falling out with Scrooge because of Della but even so he stepped up to take the kids and stayed in DuckBurg instead of moving anytime in the 10+ years they lived there. I have a feeling they stayed because he knew deep down that he could somewhat still count on Scrooge if not Beakly. Why else would he have stayed and gone to Beakly to watch the kids, granted he didn’t want to talk to Scrooge, Scrooge still took them in and watched them while Donald was off getting a job.
Donald may not be their bio-dad, but he is no way a fucking Uncle. He raised those boys by himself for 10+ years, through their formative years and until they were old enough to know he wasn’t their bio-dad. He stepped in to be a parent because Della chickened out and chose to go to space even when he told her she shouldn’t so she can be with her kids.
Donald Duck, not an uncle, a father.
Della Duck (cool-ish weird Aunt):
My opinion has not changed, she still isn’t a mother to me. Della is an estranged aunt that comes by and is the ‘cool aunt’. She willingly, without obligation, without threat, consciously CHOSE to leave her kids. Regardless of if she knew she would get killed or stuck in space, “there were too many variables” -Huey. She had a fight with Donald that specifically told her that it was a giant, dumb fucking idea with kids on the way. The idea that anyone would accept her back as a parent so blindly is so dumb. Yes she’s their egg-layer, but there is no way in hell she is their mother. A MOTHER would never choose to leave their children unless they positively fucking had too (obligation for safety). Whether or not she regrets it holds no power because she still chose to leave for a stupid reason.
Season 1 finale: “Get away from my kids” by Donald Duck will forever hold more power and significance then anytime she ever says it because she gave up parent rights before they were born. No parent would willingly, without valid cause like their safety (not fucking exploring space for funzys) would leave their child.
Over all:
Scrooge and Donald are DILFS and Della can get bent.

DuckTales THEORY: 'New Scroogea' Cliffhanger (S4+)
TLDR:
S3 cliffhanger: discovery of unseen continent, New Scroogea
Whether inhabited by Scrooge wannabees, clones or stans, Webby WILL play a part to bring them together, Donald tagalong
Ma Beagle and Rockerduck are almost certainly the main villains
Ending might seem a bit lackluster and must pave way to S5
If they went this far, S5 would have May and June as the main protagonists while tackling the multiverse.
Hello Duckblr! Although I'm currently working on my own take on a hypothetical Season 4 of DuckTales, I just found out a strange tidbit of information from the artbook. Combine that with already existing speculation online and I have a nearly perfect picture.
Courtesy of violetganache42, That's right. Had DuckTales not been canceled, the cliffhanger would be the discovery of an unseen continent known as New Scroogea. It's been speculated that this could be the location the cast could have originally been planned to fall into.
The question is...what is New Scroogea?? Some believe it's a place where everyone dresses up or acts like Scrooge. Some believe Scrooge will colonise the place. Some believe it's a place where its inhabitants idolise Scrooge. Some even believe it was the result of F.O.W.L. dumping treasures, which could substantiate the defeat of Bradford.
Since it's a common word now that S4 was planned to be Webby's season, she could fit the plot with a few of these examples with New Scroogea inhabitants in mind. Scrooge wannabees, or dopplegangers? Webby can help them while solving an internal conflict within Scrooge, seeing that she, May, and June represent his troublesome side. Scrooge stans? Webby can teach them the proper way to follow in his footsteps. Scrooge colonises? Webby gets Hortense for a word or two about ethics. Donald is 100% our adult protagonist because he has May and June.
While we now understand how Webby will fit as the main protagonist, what about the villains? A better question is, what two villains know about owning a new land, and who may be of interest in taking over a new continent? That's right, Ma Beagle and Rockerduck! Ma Beagle makes perfect sense as there was a comic, 'His Majesty, McDuck' which involved the Beagle Boys trying to take over Killmotor Hill which was declared as a separate country from America. Also, Beagleburg and the fact that she never got her season. Rockerduck because we need to see Rockerduck Estates and there was this gift made for John Hodgman depicting him as a lawyer, perfect to defend Ma Beagle. Other than that...maybe there'd even be a New Scroogean gone rogue...
So...how would the New Scroogea plotline end? I'll be brutally honest, (it's not sour grapes because I found out about this after I started DuckTales MMM) I don't really like it. Why? Because it would destroy all this foreshadowing made earlier teasing us about more important ideas. Poe De Spell? Waddlemeyer? Negaduck? What about characters who need to find a new purpose or peace such as Magica, Manny, Gizmoduck, etc? Unless New Scroogea was kinda affected by the Ramrod or something, I believe these ideas would have to be pushed aside for a fifth season, giving it a lackluster or predictable ending where the New Scroogeans just laugh or swim in gold or something... Considering they had at least 87 more ideas in mind, a fifth season would tackle May and June's pursuit of a social network while going into the multiverse plot teased by the Darkwing characters.
So...yeah...what do y'all think?

The old buzzard-man's eyes began to flutter open again to a very familiar sight of sandstone walls and floors. He's sitting on the old couch that must have been left here from F.O.W.L. when they still ran this library.
Oh dear, he must have dozed off again looking through files. The vulture lets out a lazy yawn before hearing, "Sleep well?" As he realized just who he'd been sleeping against... Again...
He straightened himself up rubbing his baggy old man eyes.
"Oh dear, I'm sorry, Brycen. This is becoming an awful habit."
The younger buzzard merely gave a polite smile to his older brother. "It's alright, Mr. B, I've started to get used to it."
"But still, it must be terribly inconvenient for you."
"I've mostly been reading up on these files while you were asleep anyway. I hope we can find something about you soon..."
Mr. Buzzard let out a sigh through his nostrils, he was beginning to wonder if there really *is* anything about him here. He decided to change the subject to something less frustrating.
"I had a very interesting dream, that our ages were switched and we were were frantically trying to reverse it somehow." He gave a tired chuckle, "I suppose that could never really happen though."
The younger brother grimaced at the thought, his face hardened a little before he shook the feeling away. "I wouldn't be too sure about that..." Then he gave the old man a curious glance. "Mr. B, would you want to become a younger man? That is if that's what you dream about..."
Mr. B just shrugged, "I'm not sure, I've never been young before as far as I know. Must be nice though, to have all that extra energy."
Brycen scoffed a little, "I don't have that much more, and I'm sure it'll be even less as the years roll on."
"Hmmm..." Mr. B thought it over a little more. "Maybe, I'd just to try it and see what it's like... If I don't like it I can always just wait for age to catch up with me again." He said with a little smirk...

The Pros and Cons of the DuckTales Series Finale (Spoilers!)
So I watched the 90-part finale of DuckTales, “The Last Adventure”, back in March of last year and I do gotta say, it was indeed a spectacular ending to the most beloved reboot series and to me, it does play out more like a TV movie than a special. Which is why I made a pros and cons list about the finale.
Warning: Spoilers for those who hasn’t either finished the series or hasn’t watched it yet.
PROS
The three part finale actually did managed to wrap up almost every story arcs and mysteries that the third season had to put out.
We actually got an appearance of Daisy’s nieces in the form of clones by FOWL. May and June are really interesting characters in their own rights.
The fact that Webby confirmed as a clone/ daughter of Scrooge McDuck instead of being the granddaughter of Mrs. Beakley. Plus her true name is also April McDuck.
Ludwig von Drake is alive and the reason why he didn’t pass away is because he said that “he didn’t have the time.”
The fight scenes are really well animated.
Seeing Darkwing Duck and Gizmoduck fighting against Steelbeak is really outstanding.
Some of the comedic-parts of the special are really funny, like when Magica turned Bradford Buzzard into an actual bird.
We got to see all of the characters throughout the series in either cameos or just plain background silhouettes.
Manny the Headless Man-Horse is actually a gargoyle who is voiced by Keith David.
It’s really sweet to see Donald and Daisy adopt May and June as their own kids.
The end credits scene is really beautiful to watch.
CONS
We didn’t get to see what happened to Hortense and Quackmore Duck, the parents of Donald and Della Duck.
The whereabouts of Huey, Dewey, and Louie’s father is still unknown.
The Terrafirmians from the episode, “Terror of the Terrafirmians” didn’t make an appearance in the finale.
With the exception of that melon in Moonvasion, we still didn’t get a Mickey Mouse cameo.
Negaduck didn’t appear in the finale.
That’s all I have for today.

Tell us about HC about May and June please^
god i have so many! I spend too much time thinking about these ducklings
well, I love dt17 but I don't particularly like the ending, I don't like Webby being a clone (I like the idea of Webby seeing Scrooge as a father figure but I don't like the clone thing) so for a while I didn't like May and June, but over time I learned to love them (they are cute ok) so here is my HCs!
❤ they were adopted by Donald and Daisy during their boat trip
❤ as they are Daisy's daughters they grew up loving fashion
💛May
💙June
I also think June would wear overalls
❤ I feel like May is the most traumatized after the whole thing with the Black Heron and Bradford May give me "little miss perfect" vibes, she has a lot of anxiety and insecurity, even though she knows that Donald and Daisy love her very much she still feels that being loved is something you need to deserve, something like "I need to be useful, I need to get good grades, I need to please everyone all the time or I don't deserve to be loved", she is afraid of being "discarded" again. but as the duck family is a very loving family, they will show that love is not a reward for doing something right, that she doesn't need to be perfect all the time and they will always love her.
❤ she's like Louie and Donald when it comes to adventures, the poor girl has just had so much, she just wants to have normal kid problems and a normal life.
❤ as Hobbies, she prefers books, totally would be a junior woodchuck, would definitely be great friends with Violet and Huey.
❤ June is a sunshine, she's just too good for this cruel world, I think she's more extroverted and makes friends very easily, leave her with the pizza delivery guy for a minute and they'll already be making friendship bracelets. but that doesn't mean she's always happy, she's the type of person who simply tries to ignore all the sadness she feels, because she's afraid to face those negative emotions and go back to that bad moment in her life, that's why she always tries to keep herself busy, with friends, hobbies and adventures. (Uncle Scrooge you better pay therapy for the kids)
❤ she would be a lot like Dewey and young Della when it comes to adventures, she is unstoppable! (Imagine going on an adventure with these three? poor Uncle Scrooge)
❤ she loves her dad donald very much, is always hugging him
❤ as Hobbie, she does everything, loves art, sports, theater, ballet, loves to try new things, without a doubt she is a great junior woodchuck
❤ but she's not good at studying, her grades aren't very good, but it's because she has a lot of trouble keeping attention in class, some people think she's not smart and naive, but she's very very smart and knows a lot of things
❤ I like the idea of them changing their names later, like Webby. (maybe this is an excuse to put the real April May and June in Ducktales? maybe)
❤ they are obvious neurodivergent, no one in ducktales is neurotypical.
(sorry if anything i wrote seemed confusing, english is not my first language)

How was Ducktales Finale? I think Ducktales does the best with it large cast and giving them stuff to do. How was Webby being a Clone/Daughter of Scrooge and she has sisters? How was Bradford? The Headless Horse Joke getting a pay off. Are you sad it over and glad you watch the series.
It was... fairly good. I'll admit it was a little bit underwhelming and didn't quite match the hype I'd built up, but I still enjoyed it.
It was great seeing so many characters come back for the final adventure, but I wonder if it was the best idea. For some reason, even with three entire episodes for the finale, it still feels like there wasn't enough time spent on everything. Maybe it would've been better if certain things had been introduced and built up earlier in the season.
It's Webby's dream come true XD. After spending some time looking into other peoples' reactions to the finale, I know some people weren't happy about the twist, but I actually like it. Webby had a good relationship with the rest of the family even before they knew she was blood-related, and this revelation doesn't devalue that. Also, it explains how Webby could perfectly imitate Dewey just by changing her hair, and why she looks so much like the triplets in general.
May and June were the best part of the finale to me, and I'm sad we didn't get more time with them. They were so cute! A part of me wishes they could've been introduced earlier in the season so we could get more of them. It would've been so cool to have evil wildly misunderstood versions of Webby to deal with and it might've given more time to see them as good guys rather than at the very last second.
Bradford went full villain in the finale. It reminds me of that meme where "the villain is making too much sense so we need to have him kick a puppy so that we can ignore the valid points he brings up". Don't get me wrong, it makes sense for Bradford with his obsession with order and control, but it still gave me those vibes. Absolutely insane that he effectively murdered people onscreen, including Black Heron.
The Man Horse stuff came a bit out of left field for me, and it resulted in us getting very little time with Phantom Blot and Pepper so I hated it /s
But seriously, it was... fine. Just feels like yet another thing thrown into a finale that already had too much stuff going on and not enough time.
I'm definitely sad to see it done, but I'm happy I started watching it in the first place. It's a shame they couldn't get another season.
