Finally, Azmodeus has a new reference! His old one was... really really outdated. But now he’s redone and more fabulous than ever before! Azzy is where all the Dreameaters got their sexiness from. xD

Everyone say hello to DreamEater AU's very own Dream! (And Fresh!) Otherwise known as Tulpa!
This AU is technically a Dream × Fresh ship story, but honestly it could be taken as Platonic because I view them both as aroace kings 👌. (This is alao Extremely self-indulgent lmao-) I'm gonna put more under the cut + close-ups but what is important is:
Dream is badly injured by Dust and ends up in a random AU after a messy retreat from battle. Fresh stumbles across him in need of a new host and attempts to take over Dream. Dream isn't a normal monster though, and he fights the hostile take-over. His soul doesn't decay like a normal monster's when Fresh feeds, so they end up coming to an agreement to share the body while Dream heals.
SO!!!
The DreamEater au comes from an idea I had years ago. Dream is injured, and it leaves him badly paralyzed while he recovers. In the old concept Fresh just nursed him back to health. In the DreamEater AU, Fresh is actively using Dream's unique vessel to his own advantage. It's like finding a body that fits him like a glove, and so he's content to just keep it. Until, of course, Dream becomes conscious again.
Fresh successfully takes Dream's body for a week or so before Dream is lucid again as a soul, and he tries to reason with Fresh to give him back control. He explains what happened and why he needs to get back. Fresh explains that he's going to keep being a parasite and no way he's giving up the perfect body. It's a long back and forth before Fresh relents and let's Dream take control again, only for him to collapse. Dream can't feel anything from his neck down due to where he'd been injured.
Fresh takes over again, and Dream just kinda lingers along with Fresh, staying in the passenger's seat of the body. He is stressed and worried but knows now that it'll take ages for him to heal anyways. By letting Fresh roam he can see the state of the multiverse at least.
And as things go on, the balance keeps tipping. Farther and farther in Night's direction. It's palpable. Then one night Fresh talks with Dream. It's small-talk, but it turns out he thinks Dream's soul will keep going forever if he can be around happy people. Dream explains that without him to do guardian work there are less abd less of those positive people to feed him so Fresh can keep going.
So, Fresh agrees to help Dream return to his duty, but only minimally since he's extremely injured.
Dream returns most of his wardrobe, and Fresh controls his body while Dream directs him and takes over control of his skull. Any weird actions are chalked up to recovering from his injury. Blue and Ink are thrilled to see him again. All is well for a bit, and though Fresh holds Dream back sometimes, he ends up actually being really good for Dream's mental health by not letting him overwork or stress about things he doesn't need to. Dream teaches Fresh how to use a bow, how to fight with a staff, etc. They become... friends? At least while they help eachother. Having Fresh tag along doesn't hurt Dream at all, and Fresh loves his free buffet of Dream.
Blue is the first one to notice Fresh, but he's not actively hurting Dream so he says nothing.
It's hinted when m, during a fight with NM's gang, someone curses and It's censored. Everyone is on edge because many of them don't like Fresh, and the bttle dispurses quickly afterwards.
It's revealed on a day that Dream is ambushed on an errand and Fresh takes forceful control so he can Fresh-Poof out of the way. Dream's Soul is shown in the other eyelight that's normally dark, and Fresh takes full control just to skate around the gang, teasing and evading them. Dream wasn't happy, but he was grateful after the fact. Everyone knew after that, and Dream started to agree that without it being a secret, Fresh could change up the wardrobe.
Eventually Dream heals almost fully. At that point, Fresh tries not to get involved with NM's conflicts. He also swaps in and out of control with Dream seamlessly throughout an average day. They become actual friends, talking over eachother and playfully swapping control. And eventually that becomes an agreed partnership. Ink doesn't approve of having Fresh around all the time, but he's Dream's closest companion besides Blue, so he stays.
Point is, they care a lot about eachother, even when they started out so tense. They keep eachother safe for selfish reasons, and for their bond.

We out here making a Sokai dnf au but what about Soriku bois
George and Dream having an entire song that represents their songs being in tune? Dream being the very being that protects George in his Dreams (haha dream as a dreameater ha)?
I would also say that this makes Dream George's light but this is mostly a theory that the kingdom hearts shippers constantly argue with each other (ship wars suck)
DREAMEATER DREAM DREAMEATER DREAM i actually believe firmly in soriku supremacy but sokai is cute and i liked it when i was a kid...... imo soriku has some strong connections, being that sora is like a sleepy beloved king type and riku is a corrupted childhood friend protector/knight. The vibes here *chefs kiss*
#i wanted to incorporate 'i looked for you! i looked /everywhere/ for you!' into a dnf moment but it doesnt rly work#still. one of the gayest scenes of all time#ask#rpf /#neither are like..... great fits but i have big affection for comparing them to destiny islands kids

Silver Platter
hi another one! this time grimm gets pissy about infanticide <333 this is an actual story and not merged with a poem. anyway this posted with no paragraph breaks originally i love my job
The troupe master narrowed his eyes down at the king, looming over him. That piercing scarlet gaze saw straight through the royal's visage, through that mask of his, that facade.
"You expect me to train an ambrosia to fight against my own kin?"
"Did she not cast you out?"
"You want to train a living thing to kill and eternally suffer at the hands of a god? You want me to train that thing? Your own child?"
"You are no saint, Grimm. You make your child suffer as well."
"Death is an endless song. They are perfectly aware they will die, all living things should be. At least I nurture my kin and give my life to fuel theirs - you cast aside your other children, deeming them failed experiments for daring to *think*."
"They are not children, Nightmare King, let alone mine! They don't have wills to suffer anyhow."
"And how would you know that? You stripped them of a voice."
"And they could not find another way to tell me?"
"They're babies, wyrm. You are murdering babies who have not yet felt a mother's love."
"My Lady agrees with me."
Grimm laughs at that - snorts, even. "Oh really? What if I pulled her into here now, put her on the spot? I'm sure she'd love you even more for spreading rumours about her."
"Do not dare bring my wife into this, dreameater."
Grimm froze at that. "Ah, and what you know I consider a slur too, fantastic. You always were perfect with words."
There's a new tone to the nightmare's voice, and the wyrm stiffens, studying that newfound flame in his eyes carefully. He could feel the heat coming off of Grimm from as far as he stood, adjusting his robes so as not to seem improper when he was really afraid they might catch on fire from how heated the nightmare was becoming.
There's a laugh. It's somewhat disembodied - half there, half not. And the voice belonged to the Nightmare King himself, the Heart's own direct representation. He was absolutely, undoubtedly livid.
"You are pathetic, wyrm. Killing children for petty revenge against that which you stole from first. Planning to use your own kin to imprison mine for eternity."
He began to circle the Pale King, like a vulture studying newfound carrion; "Once your spawn is weak enough She will be freed. And for what? There must be a point where you draw the line."
"It is my duty as a king to serve my people," The Pale King finally said, yet his tone was thin and his words empty. "There is no cost too great when it comes to what I am willing to sacrifice."
"What if it meant your Lady? Yourself?"
"And what if it meant your child?" Snapped the king, yet he realized what he had said all too late.
"It all comes back to this, doesn't it? My child, your child... the spawn of a nightmarish beast and a shriveled, broken king..."
The troupe master smooths out his collar, his cloak seeming to get rather ruffed up with how heated he'd become.
"I will train your spawn. If only to prepare them for the task ahead. But please, allow me to warn you one final time..."
The troupe master leaned down, and he leaned in close, snarling. A staff appeared beside him in a whirl of flame, and he was quick to clutch it. The lantern kindled at the edge, he pointed it at the king (standing up straight as he did so), the scarlet embers singing the wyrm's cloak.
"When they are weak and frail, I will free them. When my sister is gone, the dream realm will be entirely mine, your spawn freed and resenting you every waking moment. Every sleep, I will haunt you. Every sleep, you will see yourself die a thousand times over, each death for one child - one vessel, as you dumb them down to."
The Pale King opened his mouth to speak, but his words fell on deaf ears, if they had fallen at all. Perhaps the world itself had shunned and shushed him in this moment.
"Your mind will shatter. Your will shall break. Your voice will be left raspy and charred for eons to come. I am preparing a silver platter for you, my wyrm, a meal to satisfy the Heart for eternity. Your downfall will taste divine."
#hollow knight#the pale king#the grimm troupe#troupe master grimm#nightmare king grimm#fanfiction#i am suffering#anxiety go brr bc i never intended to share this#all of these may be self indulgent </3#but you know what i like my writing so brr

Year Two, Chapter Two
“What if swans were called ‘dwans’?” Garen asks. Lyric stares at him, which he apparently takes as an invitation to continue. “What if one was called Dwan the rock by his friends. His last name will be Johnson, for no apparent reason.”
“Dwan the rock Johnson,” Lyric repeats.
“Yes.”
She presses her index fingers to her lips. Pulls them away slowly. Sighs. “I feel like you’re not taking my emotional turmoil seriously.”
“I feel like you’re not taking Dwan the rock Johnson seriously,” he replies.
Pouting, Lyric slides towards the opposite end of the couch. “I’m serious! Bad enough you have to leave, but to be stuck with short, dark and edgy?”
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news,” Garen says sympathetically, offering her a single shoulder pat, “but you’re shorter than her by a solid inch and a half.”
“I catalogue that inch and a half once a month,” she hisses through clenched teeth.
“I know,” Garen soothes. “It’s creepy and obsessive.”
“Go away.”
Her friend makes a note on a yellow pad. “I’m just saying that if I indulged you every time you wanted to talk about Reema, we’d discuss her for hours.”
“Ugh,” Lyric says definitively, and turns regretfully back to her textbook.
Dreamweaver training was sparse, with only the most necessary precautions covered, the text reads. Non-magical humans needed more protection than the few available dreamweavers could give. This occasionally led to rifts between the communities, with magical families attempting to strike the balance between keeping themselves and loved ones safe while protecting the world from dreameaters.
However, as more and more magical children began popping up (see A History of Dreamweaving, A. J. Kerint) more funding was provided. One of magical history’s most famous financial backers, the King family, supplied most of the funds to build Mentality when several of their own were revealed to possess magical abilities.
“The Kings?” she says aloud, wrinkling her nose. “Like Cirro?”
Garen snorts. “Exactly like Cirro. His great-grandfather is a big shot around here.”
“He never mentions it,” Lyric mutters. “You’d expect that to be the kind of thing someone flaunts.”
“I think they’re -”
A resounding crash shakes the room. The textbook flies out of Lyric’s hands, crumpling the inside, and Garen whacks his arm against the wall. She dashes over and picks it up, frantically smoothing the wrinkled pages. He rubs his shoulder with a hiss.
“You good?”
“Sore, but I’ll live. You?”
“Alright,” Lyric replies, eyes darting to the door. “Do you think we could be under attack?”
“Impossible,” Garen refutes, though his face goes slightly pale. “Mentality’s warded to high heaven.”
Mentality is warded to high heaven. It’s also the last place a dreameater hoard would swarm - no non-magical dreams to feed off of. Dreamweavers, in the case of the prophetic track, siphon dreams off of normal humans. Otherwise, dreaming is minimal. There’s nothing that would lure the creatures to the school.
Still, the thought chafes at Lyric like an uncomfortable sweater she wishes she could shrug off. Garen hesitantly opens the door. The hallway’s empty but for a few tentative second years glancing through doorways, hazy smokescreen in place. Lyric curses herself for forgetting her magic.
“Let’s check it out,” she suggests. “We’ll be careful.”
“That’s an awful idea,” Garen argues, pulling on his sneakers. He rolls his eyes. “Let’s go.”
Smirking, Lyric follows him out the door, the two of them pulling shrouds of shadow around themselves. Concentrate, she tells herself firmly. Cool, dark, calm. Garen sticks close, glancing back occasionally to see if she’s following. Lyric places a hand on his back, lightly. I’m still here. Keep going.
It’s easy, the shadows. Too easy, at times, when the most she wants is to pull them around herself like a well-worn quilt. Light is harder - pushing through burning muscles, focusing a burst of energy into a single fingers, hot like the sun. Like she’s skimming her hand along the stove, close enough to warm but not to burn.
Her hand bumps solidly into Garen’s back. They’ve stopped.
“Garen?” she whispers, sidling out from behind him. “What -”
“Never, in all my years -” a woman is yelling, arms flung to the sky and voice high pitched. “A student do this much damage?”
Lyric finds herself thinking that she’s glad they’re covered. Then, when the teacher shifts and she sees the girl receiving the lecture, she finds herself thinking something else.
“A student,” Garen repeats, horror and awe-struck. “Sage skillets.”
“Miss Salten,” the professor continues, “Someone will be hearing about this!”
Lyric exhales. “Probably Cirro’s dad, if his family are coughing up the funds for repairs.”
“I hope not,” a voice says.
“Mercury’s left eye!” Lyric yelps, stifling herself with her palm. “Where did you come from?”
“You aren’t being all that quiet.” Cirro points out, hands jammed in his pockets, and cranes his neck to look at the scene. “What happened, an earthquake?”
Reema stands amidst deep cracks in the ground, scored into marble-like flooring. The divots start at her feet, slim, then widen into jagged, angry lines, stretching outward until they just barely touch Garen’s feet. She eyes the desolation as if admiring the artistry of it. As the professor yells, hands waving wildly, the girl takes a deep breath and smiles.
Lyric feels, suddenly and confusingly, like she’s going to throw up.
She wants away from the yelling, from Reema smiling with her eyes closed like she’d rather dig her nails into the floor and tear, from Cirro’s facade of boredom when he talks about his father. Lyric grabs Garen’s arm, and finds she can’t stomach the contact.
“I’m going back,” she whispers, releasing him.
He eyes her cautiously. “Want me to come with?”
“Nah,” she shakes her head. Brushing him off as politely as she can. “I’ll see you at the room later. Going for a walk.”
Garen rolls his shoulders back. “I’ll probably go out to the field.”
“You guys are so codependent,” Cirro complains, pushing himself off the wall and strolling back in the direction of the second year dorms.
“We’ve all got to have someone to care about,” Lyric mutters back. There’s no flinch, no tightening of his eyes, no clenching of fists. But somehow Lyric knows she’s hurt him - a comment for a comment. An eye for an eye.
The nausea grows worse, and she thinks about the ruined floor.
I’ll stop being a brat when everyone else does, she decides, settling into a nook by the door to the fields. Cirro passes by her, unseeing, his face drawn. He pauses a few steps away, and Lyric pulls the shadows back around her in thicker numbers. His pocket vibrates.
“Hello?” he says into the receiver, frowning. “Oh. Mom.”
There’s a pause. “So he’s heard - no. Of course not. Yeah, some girl in my grade. I don’t - who knows why. I guess she’s pretty good at runes, so that could be it.”
“It’s not -” Cirro presses the phone closer to his ear. He scuffs his shoe across the ground, rolling his shoulders back. “I guess she’d have to be pretty powerful. No. Associate with her? Gabriel’s tooth, you’ve got to be kidding. I’m not going to start - no. Yes, mother.”
His face pulls inwards. Like he’s striking the line between controlled and crushed, lids shuttering, body tensing. “My studies are going well. No, nobody’s beaten his score. My brother has ‘left a lasting mark on this institution’. Is that - that’s all?”
Lyric holds her breath as he exhales silently, relaxing his body.
“Goodbye. Give them my -” Here Cirro halts, pulls the phone away from his ear, and stares down at it. “Love.”
What is it with this year and hearing things I don’t want to? Lyric demands silently, pressing further back against the door. The swishing of fabric rustles down the hallway, and she dares to look, catching a glimpse of Salza.
“C?” Salza greets him, slowing her jog to a stop.
“Hey,” he says back. It’s a very good attempt at sounding okay. As if he was going for condescending and missed the mark.
She glares, but there’s no heat behind it. “Don’t give me that. What did he want now?”
“It was my mother,” Cirro replies, straightening. “An impromptu informal discussion.”
“You always talk like that when you get off the phone with one of them,” Salza muses sadly. “Come on.”
“Go back to your jog, or you might not make the team this year,” he spits.
Salza just links her arm through his, guiding him gently back into the dorms. “You’re my friend whether you want to admit it or not. And I’m yours. So just - follow my lead, okay?”
And as if the enticement to follow was the only thing he needed, Cirro deflates, and lets himself be carried along.
Teen drama is so much more complicated in this school.
.
.
.
“Listen up!” their professor announces, clapping his hands together. “Today, we’re having a special guest.”
Eyebrows raise, a few curious glances are thrown, and there’s an audible snort.
Professor Ozik casts an appraising eye around the room. “And by guest, I mean a dreameater.”
Chaos.
“What?” a girl at the back - Mandy? - screams, bolting out of her seat. A few others look like they share the sentiment, throwing their hands over their heads and ducking away. Reema’s eyes are wide and dark. Beside her, Devon’s shoulders are tense, face closed off. Salza and Cirro steal panicked, yet determined looks at each other, edging in front of their respective roommates.
Garen throws his chair aside, ready to cast a spell. Lyric hefts her notebook like it’ll have any effect. Her gaze flits to their instructor.
He’s grinning, somewhat sheepishly, at the class, and she calms. “It’s a drill.”
“Not exactly,” the professor admits, “but I swear it’s well contained. Nice reflexes, you three.”
Salza, Garen, and Cirro relax. With a flourish, Professor Ozik pulls a cage from under his desk. It’s covered with inscribed runes. Binding, keeping, holding, trapping. From inside it, shrieks ripple outward.
“Keep your wits about you!” Ozik yells, strapping earmuffs onto his head. “This is a siren!”
“What’s a siren?” Cirro’s roommate demands.
“A type of dreameater!” Salza calls back, hands over her ears and eyes snapped shut. “It lures you in with whatever attracts you!”
As if the creature can hear her, the cries turn from outraged to coaxing. The room starts to smell like sea salt. Plugging her nose, Lyric turns away, shaking her head. Idly, she wonders if the creature would feel like worn leather.
Cirro’s nose twitches. “Vanilla.”
“Does anybody else hear singing?” Salza’s roommate asks, eyes going dreamy. Salza attempts to cover their heads with their jackets.
Garen stands stock still at his desk. His hands don’t cover his ears, instead drooping at his sides, and he sniffs the air suspiciously. “I don’t smell anything, and I certainly can’t hear over the awful screeching.”
Oh, Lyric thinks, and a second later, Garen says aloud, “I guess that makes sense.”
Lyric bumps him with her shoulder in an encouraging kind of way. He bumps back, pleased.
“Did you know?” she murmurs, voice low under the siren’s wails.
He shrugs. “In hindsight, I suppose it was garen-ly obvious.”
“You’re so proud of yourself.”
“Get it? Garen, glaring?”
“As much as I appreciate moments of self discovery,” Salza yells over the noise, “can we shut this thing up now?”
“Glady,” Garen yells back, shouldering past the other students. He casts a shadow over the cage, plunging the creature into darkness and calm.
“Bravo,” Professor Ozik declares, clapping again. Not a few glares are leveled at him. “That’ll be an advantage on the field.”
Lyric turns away, snorting, and scribbles a few notes into her book. She looks up at the screeching of chairs, people settling back into their seats, and her gaze trails to Devon. They’re watching their roommate carefully.
Reema’s eyes are glued to the cage.
“Excellent rune work, no?” Ozik points out, following her look. “I hear you’re not too shabby with runes yourself, Miss Salten.”
“I’m too good for them to lose,” Reema corrects absently. Then she scowls.

terminus I
One last hoop to jump through. One last box to tick before the nine would help them finish it. The series of riddles were allegedly to attune each of the nine to the maze which Shegora planned to trap Dead Sun with the Sleeper inside. Yet, she could not help but feel this was the last bit of training and preparation that their supposed guardians could come up with before sending them into the fire.
“There are five rational, but greedy sailahs who find a treashah any good man would kill ovah,” Saakes said laying down an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack, and a 10, he names each card he has laid down. “Each card represents the man’s rank aboard a ship. Tha’ ace and Tha’ King get ovah half, with the Jack getting barely more than tha’ 10. Each man wan’s to survival, each man wan’s the biggest share he can, none of tha’ men trust one anotha’ and each is willin’ to do wha’ they must for a biggah share.” Saakes gestured at the cards, “You have t’ree questions, before you mus’ propose what the sailahs should do to divide tha’ treshah.”
She was alone with him. He didn’t ask about what he was owed. The Lord of Deals barely looked at her like he knew her. Saakes was the second to last test, and for Eilithe the only of the nine that presented danger and challenge. Her lips parted and she asked her first question.
“Why didn’t you take my son on the night he was born?”
Between wars and her own stupidity, Eilithe was accustomed-- comfortable, with preparing for final goodbyes. She spent what time she knew she had with her children, with Kurel, her her own thoughts. With her questions and Saakes answers.
The loa laughed, “Always been too clevah, E’leet. I did no’ take ya boy, because weren’t evah mah plan to. He was meant to be insurance against wha’ comes next.” “Eilithe?” An’Set’s voice did not stir her from her thoughts, not at first. “Ei’lithene.” He shook her arm and she finally grunted. “What.” “I asked you why you aren’t staying back-- with Malik. With all your children.” An’Set repeated, ashing his cigarette into the tray. He had a grim look about him, a restless one. Eilithe barely took her eyes off the ocean, framed by the rolling white curtains of the cabana. “Do you want me to lie to make your feel better, dura? Or should I--” Eilithe was cut, mid-thought by An’Set’s gravelly voice. “Be honest for once in your life?”
She snorted dryly and nodded. “The short version? My arrogance wouldn’t allow me to stay my blade. Not even for my children. I need to finish it. I need to see it die. The longer version? Kurel won’t stay back with me and his chances to die down there grow without me there. And to confirm your worst thoughts, my dear brother, if my husband dies it is almost inevitable that my soul will go with him.”
An’Set turned up his beer and turned his cool grey gaze out to the ocean. He pressed his lips together, the relaxed them-- tried several times to find words. Eventually, he reached over and put his hand over hers, gripping gently. “Ya’til-anath, little sister,” he offered quietly, before he let her go. If you must die, then die well.
Saakes motioned to her with a smoky hand, “Your next question, Kaz’aka.” He smirked like he was amused or impressed by her. Eilithe was quiet, far too long before she asked it. “Will he and I die inside of the trap we have set for the Sleeper?”
It was tradition that Eilithe and Kurel shared the last night before a battle alone together. Alone with their thoughts and each other. So on the balcony, with their children at her mother’s-- she sat in silence beside him. "Why do I ge' the feelin' of a pendin' bad idea?" "I think I'm all out of ideas, bad or otherwise." She answered, certain of herself. But she had at least one more plan. Eilithe exhaled and shut her eyes, "If one of us dies down there--I don't think I need to explain the likelihood the other will go with them. And I don't want to think about not coming back. Just like I don't want to think about what could have happened to Malik. But." She swallowed, "I need you to hear from me, that I understand why you did what you did. And I need to know that if we don't come back, you're with me on what happens to our son. Your heir."
A laugh rumbled out of Saakes’ chest at the very boldness of her question. “E’leet, you know bettah dan’ mos’ dat dah futur ain’ a straight line. S’a series of rollin’ dice an’ turnin’ cards.” She sneered at him, “Answer my question. None can decipher those dice and cards like you.” He grinned and dipped his head to the side, “I have seen you die, seen Kurel An’Diel die-- more dan’ once. Choice has always been dah down fall o’ your kin’. So when yah ask me, it’s ‘cause you seen it too. You know not all of you’s comin’ back, all tha’s lef’ now is for you to decide whic’ parts to leave an’ which to take.”
"He is more than my heir." He led with. Pausing to swallow thickly. "He has to go with Zelphryin. As woul' Karkah."
Kurel’s words might’ve started a fight five years ago--she could tell by the way his muscles tensed he was preparing for it. “I know,” she admitted, after a stretching silence. And after the one final plan they agreed. They accepted.
“Las’ question, E’leet. Make it a good one.” Saakes leaned back, to take in the salt and sourness of her expression. Eilithe shut her eyes to clear her mind of her immediate and impending fate. “What is coming next-- what were you preparing for?”
Zelphryin was a special breed of animal--no, a serpent. An instinct to preserve itself and its lineage, a response almost biological. Yet unable to resist nibbling on its own tail. Eilithe did not trust her brother-in-law with anything more than being untrustworthy. Being untrustworthy and ensuring the An’Diel name lived on.
“Pack your things,” Eilithe said in Tanari, standing in Zelphryin’s living room. “Take only what you believe you will need for a week’s journey. You will leave the harbor tonight and stay in Stormwind. You will wait no more than two days for different instruction before you depart by sea. You will dock in Gadgetzan and you will wait to be met. Do not attempt to leave with Kurel or my children. Do not tell anyone you are leaving. And do not leave Gadgetzan until you have had your visitor. I urge you to trust not only me, but your brother as well. Goodbye, Zelphryin. Take care of them if it comes to that.”
“Oh-aheheh,” Saakes cackled, shaking his head. “Dere’s dat fiyah tempah.” He hummed, “Here I was, t’inkin’ we’d nevah get to tha’.” From the air he produced a sling, unmarked card--no name just a wheel and offered it to her face up. “Touch tha’ card-- an’ see fah yaself.” Eilithe looked from him to his token, then back again. It was with cautious fingers that she brushed the card. The flashes came instantaneously.
Father of Sleeper. Son of Time. She saw the gates of the Dreameater opening wide, letting out the primeval shadows. She saw a beast, all-consuming leashed by God. She saw the end, as promised. As designed.
By the time she could let go of the card, she felt she’d been staring into the beyond for no less than fifty year. Her nose bled and her heart pounded in her ears. Saakes smirked-- humorless and pessimistic. “Dah future ain’ a straight line, E’leet An’Diel, Kaz’aka.Tis a series o’ choices, turnin’ card an’ rollin’ dice. Dat Sleepah ain’ tha’ end--he only dah beginnin’.”

it took some planning & strength to be able to get back to the sleeping worlds; but with the war over, the solace of the symphony of sorcery was one riku found himself grateful for. with music drifting through the forest, it's easy to playfully knock sora into the field of glowing flowers - even easier to go down with him, to watch the glitter & gleam of his eyes as he hovers above him. maybe it's the music, but it feels even more addictive to kiss him silly, too. "i'm glad you're here with me."
@dawnled
he follows riku back to the sleeping worlds, back to those worlds his heart once led them through, with an exuberant sort of anticipation; maybe, he’d be less inclined to go back to those places the organization tried to trap his heart within if he found himself alone --- but, he’s not alone. the fingers twined through his own prove he’s not alone && there’s nothing but a quiet, reverent trust for the young man that guides them back to the symphony of sorcery.
&& of course he gasps && laughs && tries to squirm back into a sitting position as soon as his shoulders meet the ground && he’s enveloped in the melodic solace of the glowing flowers. but riku’s faster, all but falling atop of him, pushing him back among the flowers that seem to sing their heart song, that dearly beloved melody that their hearts made so many months ago.
it’s a sound he once feared lost to them, lost in the shattered remains of riku’s heart station --- but he’s healed, his heart whole, the pretty purple && blue hues of his station returned to a glittering, glimmering perfection. if sora were to press his ear against his chest, would he hear the music of their hearts or are the flowers too loud?
sora’s attention && eyes are both drawn to riku’s voice, the dulcet tones of adoration that he’s grown so used to hearing --- yet, still, his heart flutters at the words spoken, at the sincerity of the words.
he could’ve given up on sora. he could’ve moved on in the year they were apart. && maybe, it’d have been better for his heart, for his mental health, to move on from the self-destructive hero sora’s become, the unchecked darkness barely held at bay in his chest, his heart --- nobody, not even sora, would’ve blamed him for giving up, for finding someone different, more deserving of his love, his loyalty, his forgiveness.
but he chose sora.
&& sora chooses riku, in a way he should’ve done before --- a silent oath is made as he gathers himself to his elbows && presses a kiss to those lips he adores so very much.
“i’m glad i’m here with you, too.”
his heart swells with that truth && it promises over && over again: i’ll never leave you behind again; we’ll go together, no matter what master yen sid && king mickey believe is best; i choose you, i trust you...
“you’re kinda stuck with me,”
&& sora thinks, imagines at the very least, a flicker of jeweled pink in the sea of green irises. he smiles into the next kiss he offers, laughs, giggles, as one kiss becomes two, becomes three, becomes many as riku’s lips press feather light kisses against his cheeks && forehead && lips ---
“rikuuuuu,”
comes the plaintive whine, yet, he’s still grinning, despite having collapsed, as if to escape the onslaught of affection. he thinks he sees the outline of his wings against the moonlit sky, but maybe he’s just imagining it. his beloved dreameater. his knight, protector, confidant. his king. his everything.
he traces his thumb against a pale cheek, smile soft, eyes gentle.
&& still, he can’t help but tease:
“how much longer are you gonna make me wait, riku? i want our happily ever after, you know.”

Meyrin feels his inner fire flare before a strange, fiery red Dreameater appears in a flash of red flame in front of him. The sudden appearance startles him, and Thane as well, who immediately goes into beast form with a heavy growl with Meyrin hiding against his side. Who is this strange being who appeared? He introduces himself as Nightmare King Azmodeus, and seems very pleased to see Meyrin. He is also surprised, but happy that there’s a healthy, living Dreameater he hadn’t known about before. He’d heard rumor through strange sources that this Dreameater existed, and he finally had the chance to come investigate himself. He is hardly phased by the Warbred, aside from a look of surprise. A lot of questions are answered that day. Meyrin learns that it was being exposed to the energy that Dreameaters eat that made him fertile, and that there seemed to only be a single egg. At least, only one spark of life could be sensed in Meyrin’s belly. He also learned that Nightmare King Azmodeus was the Dreameater King - the one who had created the species. And, had created him through that ritual his mother had mentioned. He had simply thought the ritual had failed. Clearly, it had not. Meyrin was also relieved to learn that he wouldn’t have to worry about coming up gravid again until the nymph reached adulthood, and that there were spells that could be performed to prevent it. They talked about a bit more after that, but the Nightmare King seemed to have places to go. He couldn’t stay long. Pleased that Meyrin is safe here, the strange Dreameater vanishes again in a flash of red fire, and continues reaching out his senses. If he had missed one... perhaps, somewhere, there was another! Either way, Meyrin feels much better after what he’s learned, The size of the egg still worries him, but the Nightmare King had given him a boost in strength before he’d left; he hoped that’d be enough. Thane is just confused, but also relieved with Meyrin not fretting as much. Thane already carries Meyrin around sometimes.. much to Meyrin’s annoyance! xD He feels fine other than being tired and nauseous a lot of the time!
#Azmodeus#Nightmare King#Meyrin#Dreameater#Vhessen#Warbred#Vessel#Beast Form#Thane is HUGE as a beast xD

The dreams it has invented have been hell, and yet still this dream stands out, burying you in the wall of a laboratory meant to contain just this. The lights never run out of bulbs here, they're constantly changed, reinforced, and they're augmented by normally invisible laser trips.
The room is gargantuan and empty, and inside of the central piece of it lies the ugly twisting shape of that hundred and more-foot long metal sarcophagus. Contained in front of it, the blackened pride and joy of Team Rocket, the Master Ball, sits in front of you under the countless motion sensors and disruptors.
You are the witness to what happens next. You've seen things hatch before, their shells splitting.
It's like that. A split appears on the purple top. It rocks once, and another crack appears across the button sealing it firmly together.
Twice, and the band starts bubbling.
Three times.
Nothing else happens, but the coldest dread and deepest fear settles in your gut while you watch hundreds of small red dots begin hitting something invisible rising like smoke out of it.
Somethings not right.
SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT.
Of course her first night back home from vacation couldn’t be pleasant.
Watching that ball wiggle and split like an Egg and then just shatter apart as smoke rose out of it- It wakes her from the nightmare with a jolt screaming. Sweat cold, skin pale, hyperventilating, the entire world felt wrong.
No, not now, of all times WHY NOW?! They were about to have a mass gathering in Saffron for the season and everything was almost complete- Why of ALL TIMES was this thing acting up?!
She feels sick. That wasnt just a dream- that was real. She doesnt know how she knows that, but a part of her knew- deep down a primal fear had awoken… That was real, it was out.
It was loose.
She finds herself doubling over and sprinting to the washroom, as if her whole body was rejecting the notion by emptying her stomach of bile. Face broken out as blood vessels strained, she looked like hell- enough to match her state of mind…
She needed to call people, where were they?
…WHERE WAS BELLA?!

Hey folks! I'm Spotty/Spot/Spotaus, I'm an artist just doin' art things! I go by any pronouns (<- nb/a-gender/general gender tom-foolery. When in doubt, go with they/them) and I'm ace. I've got this side-blog running for UTMV posts I wanna reblog, as well as my personal art for old/ongoing projects!
If ya want to see my art, check #Spot!Drawn
Yes, I do take Requests, and they are Open
This blog is a Side Account! If you are followed by @spotlightstudios that is me! We might be mutuals, but it only shows properly on my end :')
[Info about Projects, AUs, and OCs below the cut!]
Projects:
If you see me posting about these, they're personal projects! (Usually a solo-act, but a few have co-creators.)
#Eternal Ashes is a 2nd Gen story about the ship-children of the Multiverse! Kane, elder son of Reaper and Geno, is killed in a battle between the Star Sanses and Night's Gang. This send the multiverse into a forced truce to avoid more crossfire killing, and Reaper's wrath... Only, Reset, Reaper and Geno's younger son, isn't satisfied with his brother's death. He and Orchid (daughter of Error and Nightmare) team up to bring Kane back to life, and end up settling into motion a multiverse-wide murder spree that spans years.
#DoppleTale is an AU I finally brought to existence recently. The monsters of the underground are all shapeshifters who fed on human flesh, until they were locked away in the mountain. With Humans becoming rarer by the day the monsters feast on Monster Candy and practice desperately to perfect their human disguises (which only get worse the less they remember what humans look like). <- This story is #Pretender!Sans 's origin au!
#Catacombtale is the oldest remaining AU that I have. It follows the story of a Human Hero who is sent to the catacombs of Mt. Ebbott to face the gods trapped within. Of course, sone if the gods are helpful, others can't forgive humanity for dethroning them. (Most of the story is pre-entrapment lore, with worldbuilding and a focus on #Ichor!Sans, my special-est tired old immortal guy who loves mortals more than he should on every given occassion.)
#Ec-4o.verse is a multiverse world (kingdomtale style?) where the earth, in a stage of Robot/Monster/Human co-existance suddenly went into a war. It wiped out a lot of people and places, and sent the world into chaos. Ec4o.verse follows Blue, a young mechanic (Techie) who's skilled in the old ways of robot repair and creation, uncovering the secrets of what started the war he's known all his life. (<- This one is both my pfp, and I draw dustedafterdeath for it pretty regularly.)
#DreamEater AU A self-indulgent Fresh × Dream fic where Dream is hit by an attack during battle that paralyzes his body. But never fear! Your trusty parasite was looking for a new host anyways! Fresh bites into Dream's soul and then realizes he will never run out of magic, so he just sticks around! Pilots Dream's body while also helping him through his Savior Complex trauma! You can also find info under the tag #Tulpa as that is their combined name/identity towards the end of the story.
#New Age AU An au inspired by Real Age AU by @ancha-aus that is set in a land of kings and queens. Night, tyrant ruler of the land, accompanied by his loyal band of murderous knights, finds himself back at Age 13, the Age he was when he first ate the apple of prophecy. Without the power, he's struggling to keep his twin at a safe distance + maintain control. (Very much Found Family here :])
The New Age Masterpost can be found here.
#Timeless AU A story of the underground. What if Dr. Gaster was alive? And living? And raised Sans and Papyrus? And Revived Asriel successfully? And was madly in love with Asgore, and got w/ him after Toriel left? Yeah, it answers all these questions. Basically, Gaster is an unintentional father to all the beloved cast in the Underground, and Asriel grows up with Sans and Paps as brothers.
Then, of course, there's my persona, N!
If you see this skeleton around, it's just my insert! N (in reflection of me) goes by she/they/he pronouns and is a menace. Most often you'll see doodles of her with my oc Ichor, Killer, or my moots personas (such as Ancha!).
And for the record:
Yes, I do takes requests (They're currently open! Send me an Ask w/ an AU, Oc (<-with ref), or UTDR character!) but I don't always actually complete them. Motivation as a uni student is few and far between.
Yes, you can draw my ocs. I don't think anyone would, but you're welcome to if you get the urge! Just, be sure to tag me! (And obviously don't claim them as your own. That'd be shitty.)
Yes, I do chat. I'm a very anxious person, tho. If you start a conversation or tag response or smth, I'll be ecstatic!
This blog is (as far as I know) going to remain SFW. I don't intend on reblogging nor creating graphic content, especially not of these god damn skeletons, so this is more or less a safe space 👍
#pinned post#utmv#eternal ashes#ec-4o.verse#catacombtale#doppeltale#happy day for the pinned post#finally got around to it!#spot!drawn#timeless au#new age au#tulpa#dreameater au

pokemon team commission
@seaweedsallyandhercacklingturtle hello! sorry this took so long; it required a lot of research ahaha but i hope this is what you were looking for! let me know if there’s anything you’d want me to expand upon or change!
Ryoma: I think he’d go for a combination of fire and water types, which reflects not only his aesthetic, but also his personality. His team also has a lot of pokemon with mega evolutions, which feels fitting for the king of Hoshido.
Volcanion: as the ruler of Hoshido, it feels only natural that he should have a legendary at his side. His Volcanion would have a quiet nature, which’d buff it’s special attack while lowering it’s already below-average speed.
As for it’s move-set, it would have:
Steam Eruption [Water || Special]
Scald [Water || Special]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
Haze [Ice || Status]
Rapidash: with it’s flowing mane of pure fire, Rapidash seems like a fitting visual accompaniment for Ryoma. It would serve as a worthy mount for him, should he want to. It would be adamant in nature, buffing his attack but lowering his special attack.
It’s move-set would be:
Flare Blitz [Fire || Physical]
Stomp [Normal || Physical]
Mega Horn [Bug || Physical]
Agility [Psychic || Status]
Gyrados: both a fitting visual contrast and a powerful offensive Pokemon, Gyrados is another staple of Ryoma’s team. Like Rapidash, it has an adamant nature, making it’s power even stronger. It’s key move is Earthquake, which lets it take out Electric types before they have the chance to take advantage of his x4 weakness.
It’s move-set would look like:
Outrage [Dragon || Physical]
Waterfall [Water || Physical]
Dragon Dance [Dragon || Status]
Earthquake [Ground || Physical]
Tyrantrum: Physically imposing, with good move coverage, Tyrantrum fills a similar role as Gyrados. And, like Gyrados, it has an adamant nature, resulting in it specialising in powerful attacks.
Crunch [Dark || Physical]
Earthquake [Ground || Physical]
Dragon Tail [Dragon || Physical]
Rock Polish [Rock || Status]
Blaziken: a great mixed attacker, with a boost to his speed from his ability, Speed Boost (no kidding). Ryoma’s Blaziken would have a naughty nature, buffing it’s attacks and lowering it’s special defense. He’d also be the most playful Pokemon on the team, adding some diversity into what is otherwise quite the driven, serious group.
Blaze Kick [Fire || Physical]
Swords Dance [Normal || Status]
Sky Uppercut [Fighting || Physical]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
Swampert: quite bulky, Swampert makes a good defensive wall. He’s not a strong attacker, but he can put on the hurt. His serious nature has no effect on his stats, but he doesn’t really need them. He balances out It’s Ground-typing alleviates it’s electric weakness, and just like Gyrados, Earthquake will deal with that potential threat before it’s even a problem.
Waterfall [Water || Physical]
Earthquake [Ground || Physical]
Scald [Water || Special]
Hidden Power [Flying || Special]
Hinoka: as expected, Hinoka’s team has a strong flying-type bias. For the most part, she has some good attack units, while having two Pokemon devoted to wearing the enemy down.
Braviary: with it’s Brave Bird, Hinoka’s Braviary is a real threat to opponents with high powered attacks. Easily taking the position of her lead Pokemon, Braviary’s speed is it’s asset. It’s adamant nature sets it up with a good attack stat, helping this Pokemon be something of a powerhouse. I also see it being her partner Pokemon!
Brave Bird [Flying || Physical]
Tail Wind [Flying || Status]
Super Power [Fighting || Physical]
Steel Wing [Steel || Physical]
Skarmory: Hinoka would definitely make sure she had a defensive powerhouse on her team, and Skarmory would be the perfect fit. Her Skarmory would have a impish nature, to raise it’s defense and make it even more of a wall.
Drill Peck [Flying || Physical]
Toxic [Poison || Status]
Iron Head [Steel || Physical]
Roost [Flying || Status]
Toucannon: with it’s ability Skill Link, Hinoka’s Toucannon covers it’s rock weakness and hits incredibly powerfully with the move Beak Blast. It’s brave nature boosts it’s attack while lowering it’s speed, but that’s not really a concern here. Another strong attacker.
Beak Blast [Flying || Physical]
Bullet Seed [Grass || Physical]
Feather Dance [Flying || Status]
Pluck [Flying || Physical]
Salamence: the only member of her team who can Mega Evolve, Hinoka’s Salamence is the team’s sweeper. His already high attack is buffed by his naughty nature, and his naturally high speed makes him a force to be reckoned with.
Draco Meteor [Dragon || Special]
Dragon Claw [Dragon || Physical]
Fly [Flying || Physical]
Crunch [Dark || Physical]
Gliscor: with it’s HP and defense stats, Gliscor is there to annoy the opponent. With Bulldoze to slow enemies, and U-Turn to inflict damage while escaping, Gliscor is an absolute nuisance. This fits well with his impish nature, which increases his defence while taking down his special attack. But, as all of his moves are physicals, that’s not a problem.
U-Turn [Bug || Physical]
Night Slash [Dark || Physical]
Acrobatics [Flying || Physical]
Bulldoze [Ground || Physical]
Mandibuzz: this Pokemon won’t deal much damage, but they’d be extremely annoying to deal with. More of a support Pokemon, this Mandibuzz boasts a careful nature, which ups it’s special defense while lowering special attack.
Brave Bird [Flying || Physical]
Whirlwind [Normal || Status]
Bone Rush [Ground || Physical]
Defog [Flying || Status]
Takumi: his team would comprise primarily of fire and dark types; not only does it reflect his brash personality, but it also hints at the tragedy to befall him.
Talonflame: this’d be Takumi’s ace, with his physical power being boosted by his adamant nature. Furthermore, Talonflame is absurdly quick, with an ability that gives +1 priority for flying attacks. It serves a further support function, too, with the move Tailwind.
Brave Bird [Flying || Physical]
Roost [Flying || Status]
Flame Charge [Fire || Physical]
Tailwind [Flying || Status]
Houndoom: this Pokemon has a mild nature, which buffs it’s special attack at the expense of it’s defence. Houndoom is very tactfully useful, with it’s Nasty Plot to set up it’s alreafy insanely high special attack, while Roar removes unfavourable matchups. Essentially, it’s good in a pinch!
Nasty Plot [Dark || Status]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
Dark Pulse [Dark || Special]
Roar [Normal || Status]
Silvally: This’d be a Dragon Type Silvally! It’s lonely nature boosts it’s attack and lowers it’s defence, making it a heavy-hitter that covers multiple bases. It’s moveset makes it quite flexible, too!
Multi-Attack [Dragon || Physical]
Explosion [Normal || Physical]
Thunder Wave [Electric || Status]
Psychic Fangs [Psychic || Physical]
Umbreon: with it’s jolly nature, Umbreon is there to bother the opponent. The boost to it’s speed helps them slow down their opponent and weaken them before they have a chance to attack. It’s not so much of an offensive powerhouse, but it’s an excellent support for the team.
Foul Play [Dark || Physical]
Toxic [Poison || Status]
Protect [Normal || Status]
Heal Bell [Normal || Status]
Arcanine: with Sunny Day, it boosts fire moves for the rest of the team, and it’s Extreme Speed is a powerful priority move. It’s boosted by it’s naughty nature, which raises it’s attack. It’s good to start a match with, specifically so it can use Sunny Day.
Extreme Speed [Normal || Physical]
Flare Blitz [Fire || Physical]
Play Rough [Fairy || Physical]
Sunny Day [Fire || Status]
Noctowl: It’s modest nature boosts it’s special attack, which helps ensure some reliable power in Moonblast. It can also use a combination of moves to ensure good recovery, which makes it a strong player on Takumi’s team.
Moonblast [Fairy || Special]
Air Slash [Flying || Special]
Hypnosis [Psychic || Status]
Dreameater [Psychic || Special]
Sakura: soft and gentle as she is, Sakura does not prioritise attack power when it comes to building a team. Instead, she focuses both on cute, pretty fairy types, and Pokemon that have a natural aptitude for healing.
Chansey: with it’s special defense raised by it’s calm nature, Sakura’s Chansey is a defensive wall. Furthermore, it serves as an excellent support for it’s team.
Heal Bell [Normal || Status]
Soft Boiled [Normal || Status]
Toxic [Poison || Status]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
Blissey: much like Chansey, Blissey is a wall. It’s just an even bigger wall. It also serves as a good support for her team, but it’s modest nature improves it’s special attack. That means it has a few more offensive capabilities that come through in a pinch.
Soft Boiled [Normal || Status]
Calm Mind [Psychic || Status]
Ice Beam [Ice || Special]
Thunderbolt [Electric || Special]
Clefable: this Pokemon’s biggest strength is that it raises the team’s defense while dealing a considerable amount of damage with Moonblast. This is emphasised by it’s mild nature, which gives it a boost to it’s special attack.
Moonblast [Fairy || Special]
Healing Wish [Psychic || Status]
Metronome [Normal || Status]
Light Screen [Psychic || Status]
Togekiss: easily the team’s heaviest hitter, Togekiss possesses a timid nature which boosts it’s speed while lowering it’s attack. It also has some reliable recovery with Life Dew and Draining Kiss. I can easily see this being the Pokemon Sakura is most fond of having around as a companion, too!
Life Dew [Water || Status]
Dazzling Gleam [Fairy || Special]
Air Slash [Flying || Special]
Draining Kiss [Fairy || Special]
Milcery: honestly, she has a Milcery mainly because it’s so cute. But, it provides a good buff to the team’s Fairy moves. It’s calm nature helps improve it’s special defense, but at the cost of it’s attack. Another one Sakura would enjoy having out of it’s ball!
Misty Terrain [Fairy || Status]
Sweet Scent [Normal || Status]
Dazzling Gleam [Fairy || Special]
Attract [Normal || Status]
Alolan Ninetails: this Ninetails would be her ‘bodyguard,’ more or less. Definitely the Pokemon with the strongest offensive capabilities on her team, this Ninetails would be her ace. It’s timid nature would buff it’s speed while lowering it’s attack, but it can use Sheer Cold as a last resort. It is often out of it’s ball, walking at her side.
Calm Mind [Psychic || Status]
Moonblast [Fairy || Special]
Ice Beam [Ice || Special]
Sheer Cold [Ice || One-Hit KO]
Saizo: his team is primarily built of dark and steel types, which emphasises his role as a ninja and as a retainer.
Bisharp: Saizo’s ace, this Bisharp has high defence, high attack, and low speed. It’s adamant nature makes it’s attack stat even better. It has excellent offensive capabilities, and Low Kick helps to deal with heavier opponents.
Swords Dance [Normal || Status]
Iron Head [Steel || Physical]
Night Slash [Dark || Physical]
Low Kick [Fighting || Physical]
Scizor: this is the Pokemon I see being his companion. It’s an excellent all-rounder, and it’s adamant nature boosts it’s attack. It has a good mood combination of Bullet Punch for a powerful attack, and Roost for reliable recovery.
Bullet Punch [Steel || Physical]
Roost [Flying || Status]
U-Turn [Bug || Physical]
Superpower [Fighting || Physical]
Sableye: admittedly, it’s not the strongest Pokemon out there, and it doesn’t have great utility. But, it can Mega Evolve; and that’s when it becomes useful. It’s a good Pokemon to start a match with, as it’s very capable of wearing it’s opponent down. It has a brave nature, which buffs attack at the expense of speed.
Fake Out [Normal || Physical]
Will-O-Wisp [Fire || Status]
Recover [Normal || Status]
Knock Off [Dark || Physical]
Drapion: it’s impish nature raises it’s defence while lowering it’s special attack, but that isn’t much of a problem. This Drapion would be quite the heavy hitter, and Toxic Spikes is quite useful for harassing the opponent’s team.
Cross Poison [Poison || Physical]
Crunch [Dark || Physical]
Toxic Spikes [Poison || Status]
Ice Fang [Ice || Physical]
Empoleon: quite bulky, while providing utility and high damage. Empoleon is a reliable member of the team, and can be relied on at any given point. It’s quiet nature enhances it’s special attack, which is useful for the move Scald (which, in the best case scenario, leaves the opponent with a status effect.)
Scald [Water || Special]
Stealth Rock [Rock || Status]
Flash Cannon [Steel || Special]
Aqua Jet [Water || Physical]
Absol: the presence of an Absol in his team speaks to Saizo’s true nature. But furthermore, it’s a very effective attack unit. It’s naughty nature raises it’s attack, which can be further improved by Swords Dance.
Play Rough [Fairy || Physical]
Night Slash [Dark || Physical]
Sucker Punch [Dark || Physical]
Swords Dance [Normal || Status]
Kagero: her team is mainly composed of dark and ground types. Like Saizo, the Dark Type represents her job as a ninja. But, the Ground Typing shows her calm, collected mindset and her grounded loyalty.
Krookodile: this Pokemon can deal out some high damage, and this is only benefited by it’s adamant nature. It can also use Taunt to prevent opponents from setting up, making it a great aid in getting the upper hand.
Earthquake [Ground || Physical]
Outrage [Dragon || Physical]
Foul Play [Dark || Physical]
Taunt [Dark || Status]
Sandslash: an all-rounder, with Stealth Rock to set up entry hazards for the opponents. It can do a little bit of everything, but focuses on physical attacks. Because of that, the debuff from it’s impish nature isn’t really a problem.
Drill Run [Ground || Physical]
Stealth Rock [Rock || Status]
Dig [Ground || Physical]
X-Scissor [Bug || Physical]
Kangaskhan: I see this one being her partner Pokemon (it also fits her quite well visually.) It’s capable of Mega Evolving, which makes it an even more powerful unit. It’s adamant nature further enhances it’s offensive capabilities. Usually, it would start the match with Fake Out, and then follow up with powerful hits from its variety of moves.
Power-Up Punch [Fighting || Physical]
Fake Out [Normal || Physical]
Body Slam [Normal || Physical]
Crunch [Dark || Physical]
Sandaconda: this Pokemon can provide a strong set up, and has powerful utilities to support the team. It’s impish nature helps it’s defence, while lowering its special attack. This is not a problem, however, as it’s main focus is on Status moves.
Coil [Poison || Status]
Bulldoze [Ground || Physical]
Sandstorm [Ground || Status]
Glare [Normal || Status]
Houndoom: this Pokemon is admittedly quite fragile, but it has some good utility. It can create a powerful set up, and should they manage to get some in, they can land a few powerful hits. It’s modest nature buffs it’s special attack, and Kagero is more than capable of taking advantage of it.
Nasty Plot [Dark || Status]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
Dark Pulse [Dark || Special]
Taunt [Dark || Status]
Donphan: this Pokemon is another good all-rounder, capable of dealing out high damage and providing team support. Sandstorm can create a good environment for the other Ground types on the team, and it’s relaxed nature helps bulk up it’s defensive capabilities.
Bulldoze [Ground || Physical]
Sandstorm [Ground || Status]
Giga Impact [Normal || Physical]
Stone Edge [Rock || Physical]
Azama: it’s no surprise that Azama’s team is all Psychic Types. He likes getting in people’s heads, and it’s no different when it comes to Pokemon. He likes to tease and rile people up with his team, and leave them wanting to tear their hair out.
Alakazam: a bit of a glass cannon, this Alakazam possesses a modest nature. The buff to it’s special attack is vital; it has good coverage in Focus Blast and Shadow Ball, and it can mete out some hard damage before collapsing under it’s own fragility.
Psychic [Psychic || Special]
Recover [Normal || Status]
Shadow Ball [Ghost || Special]
Focus Blast [Fighting || Special]
Hypno: this Pokemon’s quiet nature raises it’s special attack while lowering it’s speed. Hypno focuses on tactical play; incapacitate the opponent with Hypnosis, and then follow up with a powerful special attack move.
Psychic [Psychic || Special]
Nasty Plot [Dark || Status]
Hypnosis [Psychic || Status]
Dream Eater [Psychic || Special]
Slowbro: this Pokemon is absolutely a wall. It’s hasty nature buffs it’s defense even more, while lowering it’s already poor speed stat. This Slowbro can soak up the hits, while also afflicting the enemy with burns with Scald.
Scald [Water || Special]
Amnesia [Psychic || Status]
Psychic [Psychic || Special]
Toxic [Poison || Status]
Xatu: a key support Pokemon, but with high offensive capabilities. It’s rash nature raises it’s special attack, helping it deal out some heavy damage. I can see this Pokemon being Azama’s partner Pokemon, even though it is not the most effective member of his team.
Future Sight [Psychic || Special]
Wish [Normal || Status]
Shadow Ball [Ghost || Special]
Dazzling Gleam [Fairy || Special]
Wobbuffet: the biggest defensive wall on the team, but with the ability to deal out high damage in retaliation. It’s relaxed nature boosts it’s defence even more. Honestly, it’s a really annoying Pokemon to deal with, and it’s very good at wearing the opponent down.
Destiny Bond [Ghost || Status]
Counter [Fighting || Physical]
Mirror Coat [Psychic || Special]
Encore [Normal || Status]
Mr. Mime: quite similar to Wobbuffet in the sense that it’s very annoying for opponents to face down against. It has a calm nature, and it’s capable of dealing moderate damage while also providing team support. It’s also quite good at harassing the opponent with Teeter Dance.
Psybeam [Psychic || Special]
Dazzling Gleam [Fairy || Special]
Teeter Dance [Normal || Status]
Light Screen [Psychic || Status]
Hinata: of course, Hinata’s team would be dominated by Fighting Types. At least one of them is based around swords, because would Hinata choose anything else?
Doublade: now this is a powerful Pokemon. It’s adamant nature raises it’s attack, providing a good buff to it’s physical moves. It is a little on the slow side, but Shadow Sneak provides priority.
Shadow Sneak [Ghost || Physical]
Sacred Sword [Fighting || Physical]
Iron Head [Steel || Physical]
Iron Defence [Steel || Status]
Hitmontop: a good all-rounded, with Agility to set up it’s speed. It’s docile nature provides no stat changes, but it makes for a good contrast with Hinata’s own hasty personality.
Sucker Punch [Dark || Physical]
Rapid Spin [Normal || Physical]
Brick Break [Fighting || Physical]
Agility [Psychic || Status]
Lucario: without a doubt, his partner Pokemon. It’s also his ace. It’s hasty nature raises it’s speed at the expense of it’s defence, but that’s not too much of a problem. It has a high special attack variant, and it’s got good type coverage. Overall, a very strong and effective member of his team!
Aura Sphere [Fighting || Special]
Nasty Plot [ Dark || Status]
Flash Cannon [Steel || Special]
Dragon Pulse [Dragon || Special]
Machoke: it can create a good set up with Bulk Up, and it’s Cross Chop has a high crit ratio. This makes for a good heavy hitter, further supported by it’s adamant nature. Hinata’s team is built up of some good heavy hitters, and his Machoke is certainly one of them.
Cross Chop [Fighting || Physical]
Knock Off [Dark || Physical]
Bulk Up [Normal || Status]
Bulldoze [Ground || Physical]
Infernape: it may be slow, but it hits hard. It’s naive nature helps it’s speed out a little bit, but it’s greatest strength lies in the power of Close Combat. It’s a bit of a risky move to play, as it lowers its already debuffed defense, but it definitely makes for a formidable opponent in a match.
Close Combat [Fighting || Physical]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]
U-Turn [Bug || Physical]
Earthquake [Ground || Physical]
Throh: it’s slow, but it’s incredibly bulky. It’s jolly nature makes some attempt to raise it’s speed, and the debuff to special attack doesn’t present a problem. Thunder Punch covers it’s flying weakness, and it’s certainly capable of getting a good few hits in on any opponent.
Superpower [Fighting || Physical]
Storm Throw [Fighting || Physical]
Bulk Up [Normal || Status]
Thunder Punch [Electric || Physical]
Hana: the theme of her team is ‘cute but deadly.’ Most of her Pokemon are pretty strong hitters, and they’re quite intimidating to face down against. But, they all make you want to pinch their cheeks, consequences be damned.
Bewear: this one is definitely her partner Pokemon, and they look great together! It has high damage capabilities with STAB, and Drain Punch provides both damage and recovery. It’s attack stat is improved by it’s naughty nature, and it is certainly a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
Body Press [Fighting || Physical]
Brutal Swing [Dark || Physical]
Giga Impact [Normal || Physical]
Drain Punch [Fighting || Physical]
Azuramill: now this Azuramill is set up to absolutely wreck shop. It has an adamant nature, buffing it’s attack, as well as the ability Huge Power. It can then buff it’s attack even further with Belly Drum, making this Pokemon one of the hardest hitters on her team.
Play Rough [Fairy || Physical]
Waterfall [Water || Physical]
Belly Drum [Normal || Status]
Aqua Jet [Water || Physical]
Ampharos: cute, and with a modest nature, Ampharos fills more of a support role than anything else. While it has some good attacks, it’s strength lies in the move Rain Dance. With it, it supports the team, and also ensures Thunder’s accuracy. It may not be a powerhouse like some of her other Pokemon, but it is certainly an asset to the team.
Thunder [Electric || Special]
Dragon Pulse [Dragon || Special]
Rain Dance [Water || Status]
Cotton Spore [Grass || Status]
Furrett: first of all, it’s adorable! Why wouldn’t she have something so cute on her team? It’s speed is buffed by it’s jolly nature, and it can be bit tricky for opponents to deal with. It can use Coil for a strong set up, and Return to deal some high damage.
Coil [Poison || Status]
Façade [Normal || Physical]
Sucker Punch [Dark || Physical]
Return [Normal || Physical]
Chandelure: now, this Pokemon is a bit of a glass cannon, but it can use Calm Mind to increase it’s survivability. It’s modest nature boosts it’s special attack, and it can certainly get some good hits in before having to be taken out of the field. Will-O-Wisp is a particularly useful move, as it can help weaken the opponent for other members of the team.
Shadow Ball [Ghost || Special]
Will-O-Wisp [Fire || Status]
Calm Mind [Psychic || Status]
Fire Blast [Fire || Special]
Altaria: ecapable of Mega Evolving, Hana’s Altaria is capable of having a very high damage output. This is further improved by it’s rash nature, which bolsters it’s special attack. Agility helps increase it’s speed, and it’s offensive moves help create a rather formidable attack unit.
Agility [Psychic || Status]
Dragon Claw [Dragon || Physical]
Moonblast [Fairy || Special]
Flamethrower [Fire || Special]

Ross followed Kagutsuchi to the next floor. She still wanted to ask about the kid but the idea left her mind once he turns around to face her.
"So, what do you want? I know it's related to your son but I don't see how can I help with"
Ross explained to him what happened with Luciel, his sudden change of form, and how he went outside without being noticed by her or Gabriel.
"OK, you have a child from a different race and you are worry because you don't know anything about him, I think you should've thought about it before adopting the kid. Anyway, that's not my business and I still don't see how can I help you with that"
"Luciel knows some words which I'm sure belongs to the Haros's. I know the Haros workship for you and other fire Gods so I was thinking maybe you can let us know something about them? You know they don't let any information about their race go out of their homeland so if you can share some of it with me, maybe I can learn..."
Ross's voice was suddenly interrupted by Kagutsuchi. "No"
"But.."
"No matter what you say, the answer is a no, Rossdelia. The Haros don't let information leak of their tribe for specific reasons and even if I know something about them I don't have the right to share it. Being honest, the best you could do is just give that kid back if you are so sure he belongs with them"
She sighs in response. No matter how hard she tries she was sure he wasn't gonna change his mind. Maybe going there was a bad idea after all because, in the end, she didn't learn anything helpful.
A couple of days later.
"So, I think we have everything we need. Grecia will be in charge of the distraction so we can lure Rossdelias's horsemen away from her so they can't use their real form, which will make the things easy for our warriors. Regis, hows the plan for the royal family?"
Just the day before he talked with the green-haired girl, Regis was called to help the Dreameaters to plan the assault to the Nightmare castle. Their main issue was the king and the queen. He learned that the queen, Rossdelia, was the horseman of war which means she was extremely powerful and agile in battle. The King, Gabriel, was a hellhound, a creature that he learned the dreameaters knew anything about.
"I can't do anything about the queen, I had never deal with a Horseman and I have no interest in doing it but if her bond to her husband is as powerful as you say, it will be enough just to focus on him to let her out of battle. I can do that" He explained without so many details. His goal was to get the kid back, that was all.
"Good, do your part and we will do our part and get that kid you want back to you" the leader looked at her companions "we are gonna start the assault tomorrow, get everything ready and remember that our main goal is the Crystal, once the distraction starts we are gonna enter the castle and get it back. We will reclaim what is ours!"
Everyone in the room started cheering. Regis made his way outside where Vangely was waiting for him.
"You hate to deal with hellhounds" she whispered in his mind.
"I'm not gonna kill anything, Van, I'll just let him out fo combat. Once I'm done with my part I will enter the castle and get the kid back"
"You are not gonna wait for them to do it?"
"I don't trust them, they look like creatures that only want power. I'm not risking my mission"
"Well, how do you plan to take the hellhound out of combat? They are agile, fast, aggressive, and very powerful beings, not to mention their size. Besides, from what I hear, he doesn't even belong to his realm. What if he is different from the ones we know?”
" There's only one way to find out, Vangely. For now, we will stick to the spell that we use to block their powers if that doesn't work... well, I can always spend one or two soul bullets"
"The only way for that spell to work is if the creature read it by itself, you know that it's like a self-locking spell"
"I know and I already have a solution for that. For now, let's go back to our cabin, I need to get ready"
"You are gonna need me tomorrow?"
"I gonna need you to track the kid, just that, I'll not put you on risk, my friend, so while I deal with the Royal family you get into the castle, I'll meet you there"
"But what if..."
"I'll meet you there, no matter what, understood?"
"Yes, sir"
Regis smiled at Vangely and start walking away from the noise inside the room behind them.

KH OC Week 2019 ~Day 2
Atlantica!
While training with her keyblade wielding friends, Kalai gets the chance to visit many different worlds. For today’s prompt I’m going to share a small part of a chapter in her story that has not been released yet! In this chapter, a new Princess of Heart has emerged in Atlantica and she, Kairi and Elrena go to investigate. @khoc-week

Being underwater was going to get some getting used to. That was Kalai’s first thought when she emerged from the portal and into the deep ocean. She tried to move around but found it difficult, and that was the first time she took her first look at her legs to find them replaced by a shimmering amethyst tail.
She was a mermaid!
Was this what Aqua meant by adapting to the world? And in the next moment she saw her two friends jump out of the portal behind her; Kairi with a coral pink tail and Elrena with a bright green tail.
Look at us!” Elrena laughed. “We’ll definitely be able to blend in now!”
“Too bad Lauriam isn’t here!” Kairi grinned. “I'm sure he’d think you two look very cute as mermaids!”
“Hey!”
Kalai blushed and tried to grab her but she only giggled and swam out of reach. Using a tail opposed to legs was another thing to get used to. Elrena could see that.
“We should probably try getting used to the new form before we begin our search.”
The blonde swam towards a bright light that appeared to be the surface and her friends followed suit. They didn’t completely rise to the surface but instead tried diving back down further. Rising and diving seemed easy enough, but swimming in front of them proved more difficult. And how would they be able to fight Heartless like this?
“Let’s try swimming fast.”
“I’m trying.” Laughed Kalai. “You have and suggestions, Kairi?”
“I know how to make you swim fast!” Elrena gave her friend an evil grin before summoning a Fin Fatale and a Tatsu Seed. “Get her, guys!”
Kalai screamed as she tried to elude the Dreameaters. The Tatsu Seed blew bubbles in her direction that she managed to avoid but they would not let up their chase. Kairi laughed and motioned for the Fin Fatale to try and catch her.
“This is fun!” Giggled the blonde.
“Glad you think so!” The brunette replied as she continued being chased. “I think I got it. Call off the Dreameaters please!”
She made a face but obliged her all the same.
“One day, Kalai. One day you’re gonna learn to love them! Mark my words!”
~~~
Finally they emerged to the surface. It was nighttime and the sky was awash with stars. They admired the sight for a few moments before hearing what sounded like the soft sound of crying in the distance. Following the sound took them to a young girl sitting in a small boat by herself. But they did not approach her.
“I wonder why she looks so sad.” Kalai murmured.
“Yeah…” Elrena agreed. “Maybe we can...oh!”
There was darkness surrounding her. They could all see that. And the darkness was pulling her out to sea. Kairi gasped.
“That’s her!” She said. “That’s Melody!”
“You’re sure?” Asked Elrena.
“Yes! I can sense the light within her. But...that darkness…”
“Oh no.”
The girls turned around to see that they were no longer alone. Behind them was a mermaid with pale blonde hair worn in a ponytail. She stared at them curiously.
“Hello. I don’t think we’ve met.”
“I don’t think so either.” Kalai admitted before pointing to the boat being taken further out. “Do you know that girl?”
“Oh yes.” The mermaid smiled. “That’s Princess Melody. She’s my niece.”
“Niece?”
“I’m Arista. One of the daughters of King Triton. Melody is the daughter of my youngest sister Ariel. She married a human prince many years ago and now lives on land. But…Morgana, the sea witch...”
She cast her eyes down in a way the girls could understand. Kairi swam towards the disappearing boat.
“We have to help her! before the darkness takes her!”
“Yeah that was our mission after all.” Elrena murmured.
“I want to go with you!” Arista chimed in. “If you aren’t from around here, I can help you get around Atlantica. And Melody is still my family even if we do live in different worlds.”
They were unsure about letting the mermaid join them. There could be Heartless and they didn’t want Arista to get hurt.
“Are you sure?” Kalai asked. “It may be dangerous.”
At this Arista grinned.
“Oh don’t worry about me! I’ve had my share in dangerous adventures!” She began to swim towards the boats direction. “Let’s go!”
