One of my favorite headcanons is that, at some point, since Draco never responded to Ginny’s letters inviting Scorpius to spend time at her house, Albus and Scorpius came up with a plan for Albus to spend a summer at Malfoy Manor instead. And that’s how it became Albus’s favorite place: it’s calm, unbelievably quiet, and no one’s trying to talk to him or drag him into doing things he absolutely hates. Albus feels at peace there, especially in the massive library where Scorpius learned everything he knew. He feels at home.

(“But people died at the Manor!” Well, people died at Hogwarts too, and kids still live there year-round.)

I honestly believe that, after Draco took over the Manor, he turned it into a real home—mostly for Scorpius’s sake.

He looks up at Harry and smiles like a fucking psychopath. “But your present is.”

The drawl would be enough of a give away, but the pointed, pale face that invades his line of sight is so jarring in its malice and familiarity. There is no one else who looks, smells, or breathes like Draco Malfoy.

Scorpius had his back turned towards him, and now that he wasn’t in heavy Auror robes or Ministry robes, Harry could see he had filled out through training. Muscle had layered on his lithe form, and his muggle jeans did nothing but display it all. The blond stretched absent-mindedly, causing his jumper to ride up, giving Harry a full view of his perfectly sculpted— “He is your son’s age. What is wrong with you? Maybe I do need that app Jamie was talking about. Hey, look, there’s Ginny. Wave to the ex, Harry. Very good; quit ogling the Malfoy boy.”

Since I’m a messed-up millennial and was a loser emo teenager I completely adore Albus’s casual outfit in the play: black pants, sneakers, and that striped jacket. That look got me thinking about other things he’d wear, especially since younger people are way more into Muggle fashion than the older ones. I like to picture him with long, messy, dark brown hair, and bangs falling over his green eyes (he hates that they’re just like his dad’s). He always wears baggy clothes, a size too big, to hide his body. Dark, plain colors that don’t stand out. He just wants to blend in (Harry and the rest of his family already get enough attention everywhere, and he wants no part of that.)

Albus doesn’t remember much walking, but he does remember his parents shouting at each other a lot; remembers the echoey bedroom with the raw wooden bunk beds he shared with his siblings. Remembers James’s Muggle CDs; how he let Lily and Albus listen to them whenever the muffled voices of their parents got too loud and combative. Albus hasn’t seen his mum and dad in forty days. He wonders if they’re even looking for him. Wonders if he should feel bad for hoping that they aren’t.

Hehe you’re very welcome anon! Sometimes I feel like my sole purpose in this fandom is to introduce more people to my beloved Euphoria 😌 it’s one of the fics I mention and revisit the most, I’m beyond thrilled that you loved it as much as I did! Sadly I don’t know of any similar fics but would die and kill to find one. To be honest cuckolding is one of those kinks I’m very picky about and it turns out being more miss than hit for me, so I think I’d have a hard time finding something that checks so many of my boxes like this fic. Hopefully one day! Let’s see if my followers can think of any fics :)

Oh my god yes but more to the point, fuck yes. I recently made my way through the Dralbus tag on AO3 and was so sad to reach the end. I think the obvious headcanon for Dralbus is how they bond over mutual Harry issues. They both resent Harry for how the world treats him, they both see his fame and credit as largely undeserved, but that doesn't mean they don't want his dick. I'm writing it more from the angle of mutual daddy issues, with Draco coming to realize that this barely legal kid who's begged him for attention and experience has some seriously unresolved feelings for Harry. And whaddya know, so does Draco.

Going from Dralbus to Drarralbus(?), I think Draco would be the instigator. I see him as the ethically gray mastermind, logic-ing Harry into boning his son by pointing out that, in fact, this is how Albus needs you to love him, you dense fucking walnut. Harry's Guilt™ is my favorite character to read or write (second only to Sirius' Guilt™), and I don't imagine there is any guilt greater than that of a well-intentioned parent with inappropriate feelings for their child. Compound that with decades of unresolved Drarry pining, Harry as Overprotective Dad, not to mention wildly jealous that they both got to each other before he did... what a fucking recipe.

As for Harry/Albus alone... I expanded on them in this post, but I enjoy Albus as one who simply does not give a shit about taboos and public opinion, due in part to youthful naivete, and partly from the resentment of living under the shadow of a man in the spotlight and all the resulting limitations. The one thing I like about Cursed Child is how the wish you weren't my father/son argument takes on a whole new significance when you look at it through a shipping lens. That is my one unbreakable HC for them: that, subconsciously or not, the reason they wished they weren't father and son was because of forbidden feels.
