I'm playing through Awakening again, and I think I figured out why I love this game (and DA2) the best of all Dragon Age games. Like, look at these losers!

I'm walking around with Nathaniel, Anders, and Oghren and they are all total zeros (affectionate.) They are not conventionally cool or particularly powerful, and they are DEFINITELY not successful. The Commander of the Grey is scraping the bottom of the barrel and coming up with a group that just works together so well. You get a conscription, and YOU get a conscription. It's perfect.

Anyway go play Dragon Age: Awakening if you haven't yet. It's a DLC mini-sequel to Origins.
