aspen lee has spent the last two years proving to her peers that she was accepted to MIT for a reason. scott miller has spent the last year as a TA for Dr Muher, grading assignments for students that made him want to question the school's acceptance team. one misspoken sentence leads to scott meeting his match: both academically and romantically.

yeah so im gonna witter about Martha Jones (Dr. Who) cause i just finished season 3 and im feeling so pissed and sad. The reasons are as follows:

i) they had insane chemistry (for me). Doctor and her just worked so well together imo but that didn't go anywhere and see im not mad about that.its fine he didn't have feelings for her it's alright

BUT WHAT'S NOT ALRIGHT WAS there was not a proper thank you,a legit heartfelt little something anything where we could see Doctor being grateful for what she did (I know some people will say he did say thank you but others might understand what im trying to say) cause she did ALOT. The human episode alone convinced me how strong she was. The way doctor once forces her out of the room when she walks in on them kissing broke my heart. But she stayed with him,took care of him when he didn't even remember her,watched him fall for someone else and I was waiting you know for the episode to end to see how the doctor will react when he comes back.An emotional moment or two between them but no it was just a thank you.thats it.

Did I make points? I kind of went on and on and forgot I made points so

ii) I saw online that some people were mad as to why was she given that one sided romantic arc she could have been so much more as an individual character but for me her having those feelings didn't weaken her.She was brilliant in whatever she did and was hella useful.She was smart and kind and brave. The problem isn't Doctor not reciprocating her feelings but not appreciating her properly!! Even when she left ofcourse you could see the disappointment on his face that's just Tennant's acting but some actions,some words would have been nice.

iii) there are so few edits of Doctor and Martha,which was the first thing I noticed that made me think like what ?? Did people not like her. They had a good relationship too. Why are there not more edits of them ??

iv) Loved the way she left though.On her own terms like a badass she was the entire season.

v)They could have done so much more with her character even with the romantic arc.So much could have been explored ahrghh this season just left and emptiness kind of feeling. I know next one is good but I'm not even feeling like starting another cause whatever happens Martha left. :(

Mongomery Kenneth MacGregor was born in Perthshire, Scotland in 1889 to Kenneth and Janet MacGregor. At age ten, his family moved to Edinburgh, where he spent his formative years in the city, attending the University of Edinburgh for his bachelor’s. As a teenager, he began to experiment with his sexuality, also developing extreme depressive mood swings, to the point where his parents had him committed to a sanitorium for six months. His experiences there made him want to become a doctor as well as racializing him, and in college, he became a communist, introducing his younger sister Elspeth to the ideology as well.

He moved to London to complete medical training, where he met his first wife Edeline Walsh student teaching at her women's medical college. He proposed in 1914, but they were unable to marry until 1915 due to the Great War, where Montgomery served as a Captain in the Medical Corps and Edeline as head of training women for the VAD.

After the war, he and Edeline moved to Edinburgh so she could finish her schooling, but she, along with his father, died from the Spanish Flu in 1919, devasting the young doctor, who left the city to travel around the world, helping set up the national British Communist Party until a visit to the Soviet Union and a dispute with the party secretary led him to leave the party, becoming a democratic socialist and Scottish nationalist. Returning to the UK in 1923, he moved to London where he began a casual sexual relationship with his former brother-in-law Byron Walsh, now the Duke of Feldsbury. He eventually developed strong romantic feelings for the duke, but they were never returned.

At a party hosted by mutual friends, Montgomery met Samira Patel, a Marathi Indian heiress from Bombay, and they began a relationship, Samira moving in with him while they were unmarried. They moved to Edinburgh together in 1926, getting engaged in 1927. They married in a civil ceremony and in a large Hindu ceremony in 1928.

Samira would die in childbirth, giving birth to Montgomery's only child Miranda in 1929, sending the Scotsman into a deep depression, quitting his career and politics, descending into alcoholism, and moving in with the Duke and Duchess of Feldsbury. After being caught with Byron by the duke's mother, Montgomery's mental health grew increasingly worse until he took his life while on a trip visiting his mother and childhood home.

Montgomery suffered from type II Bipolar disorder, then unknown and treated as insanity and/or melancholia. His struggle to learn what was wrong with him and his blunt personality often clashed with one another, but as a doctor, he was remembered for his kindness and humor.

Montgomery is survived by his daughter Miranda, mother Janet, sister Elspeth, in-laws Vikram and Anita, and members of his first wife’s family.

Oh yeah, there would be certain reasons why this game would be rated T/C/12(or 16) with this kind of content. Remember when Ratchet & Clank games use to be rated T and toned down to E10+? Or remember that Jak & Daxter was franchise for a teen audience? But do you remember how the Sly Cooper series was always rated E and E10+.

Plus, a very interesting and sweet storyline were while being the unexpected ones to save and protect their worlds as some unknown force is what mixing their universes dangerously, the 3 heroines help each other out and blossom a close, strong, deep and loving bond together.

Do you all know what would also be cool? If Richard Steven Horvitz (roles include Daggert of The Angry Beaver, Zim of Invader Zim, Billy of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Raz of Psychonauts, Kaos of Skylanders, and Moxxie of Helluva Boss) were to have a voice role the game either as a badass close ally/handler or one of the villains to the 3 heroines!

What if it will be a huge extremely, unexpected surprise that this game will turn out to sell really good around the globe?! It'll be the one crossover game that fans have never asked for! Plus, imagine in the one country, this upcoming PlayStation game will be selling even better. And that one country will be Japan! Japan would end up making lots of advertising with entertaining commercials and 3D digital billboards in Shibuya of Tokyo, and merchandise like figures and anime-style posters. Hell, there could even be a Japanese dub for the game too!

Wallter Headcanons

Wallter has autism and cronic muscular pain. He was diagnosed for both at a young age and has used a cane most of his life. He started drinking Gray Stuff as a way of managing the pain, but became addicted. Not because it's a painkiller, he's just addicted to drinking wet concrete.

She's always needed glasses, but Gray Stuff has made it worse.

He is ethnically Polish and is from the US. Why does he sound British? Nobody in his family knows.

The reason he sounds British is because he’s an Anglophile (2013 Tumblr style). He watches way too many British shows for someone who isn’t British, has been a lifelong fan of Dr Who, and one of his bathrooms is decorated with knick knacks that depict Queen Elizabeth II.

They are currently 56. They met Mark in their early 30s, got married at 48, started drinking Gray Stuff at 50, and got divorced at 54.

He identifies as a nonbinary lesbian. If he knew what objectum was he'd identify as that as well.

She is attracted to buildings. Carnally. She became an architect because it meant she gets to draw beautiful buildings all day.

Their first crush was the Tardis.

Before she started drinking Gray Stuff, she was made of clay.

Despite being made of concrete, she's still very expressive when it comes to her face. This is because the concrete has some give and pliability to it.

He has cracks all over his body, but the most severe are around joints.

Side effects of excessive have been stiff joints, slowed movement, frequent migraines, and memory issues. He has also undergone personality changes, becoming more selfish and self-asborbed. These are all a result of what is essentially the calcification of his brain as it's slowly turned into concrete. If he doesn't stop drinking Gray Stuff soon, it will kill him.

Terrible cook. They eat like a college student in a kitchenless dorm.

All of her clothes are either designer brands or custom tailored. The only exception is the scarf Mark gave her.

She met Lampert at Rokea while furniture shopping with Mark. She later encountered him again at a gay bar where Mark introduced them properly, and that’s where they hit it off as friends. She has never felt paternalistic feelings towards Lampert.

He has flirted with DrRETRO many times and is interested in dating her, but still refuses to take her advice as a doctor.

He and Mark met at a mixer for disabled people in construction jobs.

They no longer have any romantic feelings for Mark. They still have some platonic affection for him, but that tends to be outweighed by how annoying he can be trying to prove how "over them" he is.

Sigh... I'm gonna add my two cents about the Balloon arospec drama(I'm AroAce BTW) and by my two cents I mean I'll mention it two times and just talk about something else related. I'll also be providing some knowledge about AroAceness and all that.

For those of you who don't know,

Aro: Aromantic - Little to no romantic attraction.

Ace: Asexual - Little to no sexual attraction.

Aro+Ace are spectrums and aren't just "every Aro person doesn't feel any kind of romantic attraction" or "every Ace person can't feel sexual attraction." I feel as tbough people forget that all the time so I wanted to remind you lot haha.

I'm noticed this kind of drama a few times, where people argue about a character on where they are on the AroAce spectrum. It's difficult for me to put what I think into words here, but if a character(either canon AroAce or not) doesn't have a canon placement on the spectrum then whatever, go wild.

To help with my previous statement, I'll use SakiK from... SaikiK. People generally agree he's AroAce, yet people argue about where he is on that spectrum(mainly the Aromantic part). Since it's not ever stated where he is on that spectrum(or even if he is AroAce but SHHHSHSHHSH 🤫🤫), everyone has their own interpretation of it.

I believe it should be the same for Balloon, unless Balloon comes on screen and says "I am *insert very specific thing here* " as he points to a picture of the Aro spectrum then its to to you. Obviously, don't make him a sex crazed fiend or constantly searching for love, you eejit, but it should be up to interpretation.

A little off-topic here, sorry, but I wanted to bring up umbrella terms in both the Aro and Ace spectrums(I'm included ace because eh why not! This is for my people who HC Balloon as Aro AND Ace 🙏🙏)

Here are some terms under both the aro and ace spectrums. I feel as though you guys and many, MANY others tend to forget that there are umberlla terms for AroAce. I'll define them below:

Ace umbrella:

Aceflux: someone whose sexual orientation fluctuates but generally stays on the asexual spectrum

Greysexual: only experience sexual attraction some of the time, and sometimes not at all.

Demisexual: An individual who does not experience sexual attraction until after a close emotional bond has been formed.

Aro umbrella:

Aroflux: someone whose romantic orientation fluctuates but generally stays on the aromantic spectrum

Greyromantic: Some may feel a strong emotional connection with others but do not desire romantic relationships, while others may feel a weak romantic attraction to some people but not all.

Demiromantic: An individual who does not experience romantic attraction until after a close emotional bond has been formed.

As I've stated, we all have our own interpretation of the AroAce character and there's no point arguing about it and getting mad because that's fucking stupid, unless they start actively getting rid of the AroAce rep then burn them to the stakes! /j

I know how wild you mother fuckers can be, so don't shank me please. If you disagree, take a deep breath and remain calm because getting all pissy about this isn't gonna do shit. Try to go about it calmly and reasonably. <3

okay, I have been really wanting to get this off my chest for a very long time since I joined the ii fandom and watched s2 and s3.

when watching and analysing everything, something really did not sit right with me, and that is the treatment of sapphic ships in the show. sapphic relationships in the show are treated very differently compared to gay and hetero relationship

a relationship for a hetero couple in the show can usually go like this:

the two characters, male and female meet for the first time -> they start to interact frequently and start to form a "bond" -> halfway through the series, something happens between them, causing their relationship to fall apart -> but a few episodes later, they make up, and all is well -> fanbase really likes ship -> creators make it canon

however, a relationship for a sapphic couple in the show goes a little something like this:

the two characters, both female, meet for the first time -> they start to interact frequently and start to form a "bond" -> girl 1 starts to visibly show romantic feelings towards girl 2 -> a few episodes in, girl 2 does something "toxic" or "mean" towards girl 1, and their relationship falls apart and it is like that for the rest of the show -> fanbase deems it as "toxic" -> creators don't even give the ship a second chance

or alternatively:

two characters, both female, start interacting for one or two episodes -> they seem really into one another -> they never have a single interaction ever again after that

The General "Story"

This takes place a couple of weeks after the events of Box's Exit interview , which caused Dr. Fizz to die permanently after blowing his top from anger . He now currently lives in the attic of Purgatory Mansion , found a phone while he was looking around and just decided to use tumblr ask blogs to avoid going insane from a lack of social interaction . That's about it .

Inspired by one of @lizzy-bonnet 's wonderful posts about Elizabeth Murray (THANK YOU!), I decided to try and do some research to answer the question that had been bothering me (and probably only me!):

How old were the Murrays, when their youngest sister (Juliet) was born?

Let me start with quoting Douglas Starr: "Elizabeth and Laura and Wallace and Oliver and Ruth were old Archibald Murray’s children. His first wife was their mother. When he was sixty he married again—a young slip of a girl—who died when your mother was born. Juliet was twenty years younger than her half-family, as she used to call them." (Emily of New Moon).

So, here we go (my very own order):

I. Elizabeth Murray: about 26-27.

"Aunt Elizabeth was nearly seventy." [...] "You will be twenty-four your next birthday," said Aunt Elizabeth." (Emily's Quest).

So, let's say she is about 69-70 when Emily is 23, which would make her about 46-47, when Emily is born.

We don't know for sure how old Juliet was when she gave birth to Emily. Yet, her age might be guessed... at least, a bit.

Douglas tells 11 year old Emily: “I met her [Juliet] twelve years ago, when I was sub-editor of the Enterprise up in Charlottetown and she was in her last year at Queen’s." (Emily of New Moon). Queens is a two-year course, and if Juliet attended it right after Shrewsbury High School, she would be around 19 when she met Douglas and 20 when Emily was born.

Elizabeth also gives such an older sister's vibes. She rules the family and even orders Wallace to "leave this child [Emily] alone". (Emily of New Moon).

II. Wallace Murray: 23-26.

"Your Uncle Wallace might, seeing as he reckons himself the head of the family. He’s only got a grown-up daughter."

So, I would say, he is the second oldest (and a first-born son). He seems to think he is the head of the family, which would be understandable if he was the oldest son. There is not much more evidence, but I would say he might have been 1-3 years younger than Elizabeth (so, 23-26).

III. (or IV?) Oliver Murray: 19-25.

Not much evidence here, either, but one of Oliver's children - Andrew - is only a year or two older than Emily and another unnamed child (probably daughter) gets married, when Emily is 20: "Emily, just home from an interminable week's visit at Uncle Oliver's, where a cousin had been getting married" (Emily's Quest).

So, at least a couple of his kids are about Emily's age (which doesn't really prove anything, due to the fact his own father was 61, when his last child was born).

Yet, Oliver is old enough to have "bristly white moustache." when Emily meets him, so I would say he is probably older than Ruth. He seems to be in his early to mid 50s, when he meets Emily (so, 39-44, when Emily is born?). I think he is Wallace's younger brother (he doesn't have the importance of a self-proclaimed "head of the family").

I always thought that New Moon was going to belong to Andrew, not because he was the oldest son's male child, but because Uncle Wallace didn't have a son, only a daughter (and girls did not inherit anything then). On the other hand, Elizabeth ruled The New Moon, so maybe it was not the matter of gender...

IV. Ruth Dutton: about 22.

When Emily is about sixteen (the night she and Perry get caught "kissing"), we learn that:

"Ruth Murray," he said, "do you remember the story that got around forty years ago about you and Fred Blair? Do you?" [...] "When she was a girl of eighteen she had been trapped in a very ugly situation."

So, Ruth is about 58, when Emily is 16 (42, when Emily is born, and 22 at Juliet's birth). She seems to be a bit younger than Oliver (although not sure about it).

V. Laura Murray: 14-18.

She and Dr Burnley were believed to have been romantically involved with one another, before Beatrice Mitchell came along. Ilse was the same age as Emily and Dr. Burnley was 36, when she was born. Aunt Laura was probably around Dr Burnley's own age, perhaps few years younger, or older.

So I would say: 34-38, when Emily was born:

"Rhoda said once that Aunt Elizabeth hoped Dr. Burnley and Aunt Laura would make a match of it—which, you know means get married—but that is not so."

"Beatrice Mitchell—one of the Shrewsbury Mitchells. She was only eighteen when Allan married her. He was thirty-five." (Emily of New Moon).

It would make her the youngest. Actually, it fits her character: she seems meek, gentle, delicate and visibly younger than the rest.

She looks to be in her 40s, when she meets Emily for the first time: "She was almost pretty, with her delicate features and the heavy coils of pale, sleek, fair hair, faintly greyed, pinned closely all around her head." (Emily of New Moon).

Her hair doesn't turn white before the winter Emily is so sick: "Laura Murray, whose hair had turned from ash to snow that winter, went to her room and knelt down by her bed to thank God." (Emily's Quest).

So, that is how I picture The Murrays' ages!

How the Ink Flows: 2024 scribbles by one Miss Lin ✨

Because my uni schedule has been kicking me in the butt constantly these days, I have decided to write this post to let you all know (as well as to make myself try to stick to my goals) what I am currently working on and what I would love to share with you this year! ❤️️ Also, at the end of the post under the cut, there is an important question regarding my taglist -- please, read the info if you follow my works and/or want to read some of them!

VOIEVOD

Vlad Dracula will most definitely remain my number-one priority for this year. So far, the update on the upcoming works for his story looks like this:

I am currently working on Second Chances, the work that maps one of the epic battles of Vlad's life, namely his spectacular duel with the former Voivode Vladislav II that marks the beginning of his second (and longest) reign. I have had to put my writing on hold for a while as I tackle my new uni schedule but will do my best to get back to the WIP as soon as possible!

Next, there is Novus Rex, Nova Lex which deals with the beginnings of Vlad's rule, and the tensions between him and the boyars. This WIP is also a strong homage to the wonderful Romanian movie Vlad Ţepeş (1979) as I have decided to borrow a fabulous scene from it and use it for Vlad's story. Hopefully, I will do it justice!

I would also love to focus on the beginnings of Vlad and Cătălina's relationship. You have already had the chance to meet the wonder of a woman, but the start of their love story and all the circumstances that lead to it definitely deserve to be told chronologically.

If all goes well, I would try to also dip my toes into Vlad's years with the Ottomans and try to explore the Drăculești family. A certain Mușat will most likely also make an appearance.

OPEN HEART

The world of Dr. Laura Levchenko has currently been put on hold for an indefinite period, mainly because I am heavily struggling with the overall story and some characters in it. I would also love to drift away from her role in the romantic relationship and explore her character as an individual. I think there is a lot of work to do for me to reassess what I want to say through my writing and what I want to do with the plot.

If all goes well and inspiration kicks me in this universe, I would love to delve into a series mapping her life directly after the maitotoxin attack. If you want to see Laura away from Ethan and shine individually in her pain, then this might be for you. ❤️️

CRIMES OF PASSION

I have been planning to finish a few works I have in mind for this story since summer but, unfortunately, the WIPs keep being abandoned by their negligent writer! I want to heavily redo and expand what we have been given in canon and turn it into something more serious and personal -- being from Eastern Europe, this story hits very close to home, and I would love to give it the levity and portrayal it deserves. So far, the WIP that I would love to work on more is called Silence, Silence, Dry and Black and explores heavier cultural and political themes. I am aware it might not be everyone's cup of tea but hope you would give it a shot nonetheless.

THE WAYHAVEN CHRONICLES

I am still exploring the story and toying around with my M!MC but, if all goes well, I have a very particular idea for a fic I would love to write this year! I am still not sure if I will make a single work from it or divide it into two shorter fics, but I hope to make it happen. Expect pure indulgence on my part as this will be my inner romantic pouring her heart out.

Flash, let it be known, doesn’t like Peter. He’s too good at everything—infuriatingly so—and nobody ever calls him on his bullshit, like with AcaDec nationals. Flash has to put his all into everything he does for a fraction of the attention Peter gets for his bare minimum, and it pisses him off, to say the least, so sue him for looking for chances here and there to knock him down a peg.

However, when he notices, he shuts his entire operation down.

Maybe Peter has a decade on his age when he was in the thick of it, but Flash remembers what it was like. He gets having school be a safe place, and nobody, not even himself, is going to jeopardize that for Peter.
