The park I went to the other day used to have a fairly large homeless encampment in it but it was cleared out a couple of years ago. I went wandering down to the gully there where the park met private property and there was a sign on one of the trees telling the "camp" it was going to be swept on a date in 2023 and they needed to leave. The "camp" was a fort clearly made by some kids.

#massive fucking douglas fir #I think the actual encampment was mostly abandoned when they swept it #I had no idea it was a park until recently - it just looked like a cool place to sneak into #i cannot stress enough how un waterproof the fort was #and the park property is bordered by apartments #what kid didn't have a secret woods fort (I had 2!)
