#knitting#yes it took me *checks notes* 3 years of knitting to get around to it#i got really into cables and kept making sweaters instead#but my aunt got me a book of colour work patterns and i gather those are easier to knit in the round#i'll probably also get myself a set of cheap double pointed needles and see which version of knitting in the round i like better

It's so frustrating to me that people see electric automobiles as a green technology. They are anything but.
#Sure lets encourage people to buy more single-person vehicles#with extra heavy bases#requiring extra concrete on the existing roads to deal with the added load#with extremely flammable and toxic batteries (that you really shouldn't be parking in any kind of underground parking)#demanding double or triple the electric power delivery to your home than you needed before you bought the vehicle#requiring your electric utility to tear up your roads to install bigger cables#sure#that's going to be *good* for the environment

The firm hand on his head earns a grin under his mask, his attention drawing upwards with all the pride of a pet dog being praised. If he had a tail, it would would be wagging. He's a slut for any kind of affection directed his way, no matter how small of an action it might be. -- āGonna call me a good boy next? Give me a treat?ā He questions, a distinctly flirtatious manner. āIf you're taking requests then I have a LONG LIST of things I could ask for, even color coded it for how PG it might be- and that's a solid MIGHT because I'm nothing if not eager.ā As with anything, he just can't be NORMAL while someone is paying him attention.
Cable, meanwhile, lets out a gruff surprised noise at the gentle pats to his head. It takes a moment for him to figure out that it's not an effort to get his attention, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly. He doesn't attempt to push him away, that's something. -- āYou do that to everyone..?ā It's a question to dispel awkwardness, not knowing how else to broach the strange situation it's put him in. He's worried anything else he might come out with will come across too earnest, or worse, that he might deter the man from showing him such attention. Not a chance in hell will he be putting any thought into why the latter might bother him.

Got my EKG done by a nurse instead of a cardiologist and she was like "have you done this test before" and a small part of my brain was like "have you????"

apparently I mastered time travel when i gamed in the past...
#i was checking to see what achievements i had left for B-lands 1+2 & did a double take when i saw the dates on some of them lmao#it must be because i did most of my 360 gaming offline because the Elite didn't have built in wifi capabilities#so it would only really log my achievements when i hooked up to my ethernet cable. guess it didn't pair any actual dates with them though#but 1753 is wild lmfao why is that the default year

Sometimes a laptop will just. Decide to not type even though you're pressing keys, or maybe send the cursor flying when you're not even touching it. Or maybe even freeze the screen a little.
This is nothing to worry about and are all signs of a well looked after and healthy device. You are a great mother. 50mb of available memory is actually too much if anything
#it's actually worse than this even lol#my little guy is turning 8 this year and boy can i tell#8 years of daily use. literally daily.#average... I'd say 2 hours a day. for 8 years.....woag#so i guess when you look at it like that im not doing bad#ive replaced the charging cable twice. the headphone jack doesn't work. nor the speakers#the rubber seal is literally starting to disintegrate#ive worn some keys smooth with use#sometimes the volume changes randomly. sometimes it turns itself on for no reason and overheats#the function keys are kind of broken / somehow reversed ?#like in order to NOT press a function key. i have to hold the function button...#sometimes it forgets who i am#Google constantly forgets. and i have to double verify myself. but that might be a Google problem...#ANYWAY he's my little guy whomst i love and who's crying out for retirement...#woes of emily

#i wish i wish i wish i could justify a second game subscription a month#bc that's what a paid battlepass basically is#and mannnnnnnn what i would give to get hsr's battlepass#was looking at how many leveling materials it gives last night and it's so much that would help so MUCH#and i'm realizing how few 5* characters i have#and how much easier gameplay would be to have a few more 5* and the ability to have them fully leveled and reliced up#like i could actually be functional in FH and swarm?#T____T#f2p life is a struggle some time#just like it gets me that i play hsr just as much as xiv#if i were playing it alone the 10-15 a month would be an easy thing to do#but already doing that for xiv so like I SHOULDN'T pay that much for both#bc that would double my game sub cost per month then#but but i play them both that muchhhh#ugh i wish i wish i could justify it#esp since like we don't pay for cable/streaming subs since we just don't tv watch we game

i cant believe the day but i finally got a full tower pc. bought it already built and at a considerable discount of some 320 dollars off. its fucking huge and theres so many things going on inside... i was initially planning on choosing the parts myself but finding the graphics card was so hard and everyone else convinced me to just buy it built and honestly? good. id probably have fucked this up so badly by myself
i cant use it yet bc i took too long to buy the monitor that was also on sale and now its regular price -_- tho i managed to find a discount used one for now. well see how that goes since ill get it tomorrow. i tested it on out living room tv and it had some kaspersky thingy open and like thats so cute. i hope they left some treats in the browsing history for me to search through before i wipe it clean
#its a hexer case and wouldnt you guess the front has a hexagonal pattern. so pretty..#it came with 3 fans installed there too that have a cmyk color style to them and it looks quite neat. im thinking of buying some leds to pu#inside the case to go with my keyboard tho idk if id go that far tbh (< gamer rot is setting in. im not immune to pretty lighting..)#its also got a lot of unused space inside. im thinking of making more sculptures to put in. though idk if thatd be safe for it#bc cold porcelain is glue and water. what if it evaporates inside and suddenly everythings covered in a glue film#i wonder if varnish would help? the transparent nail polish sure didnt do shit it came off like 2 days after sculpting the rw slug sleeping#which like yeah of course. its nail polish. but i didnt expect it to flake since all it does is sleep on top of my laptop keyboard#i need miniature glass cake cover tops to encapsule every sculpture inside for safety#looking at it still no wonder these are called towers gotdamn its legit so huge..#it looks awkward tho bc i cant fully make it glue to the wall bc of the cables so its like. awkwardly a bit in front of the wall#im scaared as to how to tell if it ever gets too hot. on a laptop u just press ur head against the left half and feel how hot it is#i think im gonna need software for this.. sigh. tho maybe ill never get to that point since its supposed to be decent#AND its not 8 years old + the 3 fans and gpu fan and cpu fan. surely thats enough. the case even has space for more than that!!#the acrylic side reflects my keyboard too. so niceys. stimulation for my creature eyes#my desk is gonna be so fucked up when i have to organize everything too bc the one i have now is perfecly laptop-oriented#it sits on a custom wooden desk and the keyboard+drawing tablet sit below. but theres a shelf on top of my desk thats too low for the>#>normal monitor to sit to so i wont be able to use the custom desk. and i dont even know what ill do with my laptop either#finally a good change in my sad life routine fr. i cant wait to play watchdogs on this and overgrowth and other ones#AND LAGLESS KRITA SMUDGE ENGINE BRUSHES!!! AND DOUBLE BRUSHES. A positive of the situation: Iāve made phenomenal progress on my stress-embroidery.
(Iām working from a pattern my mother scanned for me and it doesnāt include the source, apologies for that!)
Still another round of kloster blocks and dove's eye fillings to work after this one, but I shan't be running out of worries any time soon, so full steam ahead!

also I think it's funny how my sister and I both just want to brag about being able to knit, but while she only does knitting stitch to make scarves, I've moved on immediately to learning every single technique and stitch I can get my grubby hands on and am doing way too complicated projects for an absolute beginner
#not a single scarf in sight for me#noooo just doing a few test runs for knitting and purling#and then immediately diving into a project that involves double knitting and colourwerk and designing my own pattern#and following it up with a piece of clothing that involves cables and rib stitches and putting edges on things
