The Plan for Every Child (P4EC) National Conference organised by Plan India in solidarity with national and international efforts focusses on reaching out to every child in difficult circumstances, especially girls and young women in building their agency and leadership to achieve SDGs. P4EC has been a unique conference every year bringing experts from all over the world to the table to bring diverse perspectives and present solutions to the complex issues related to child protection, health, education, participation, violence against girls, equality, early childhood care, sexual and reproductive health and so on.

The Children's Creativity Festival is a unique platform that enables children to showcase their talents while facilitating innovative thinking and problem-solving. The three-day Festival has held from 14 to June 16 at the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (Ucost) Dehradun. 106 children in the age range of 13 to 17 years from 12 states across India participated in the celebration of creativity. The theme of the Festival focussed on three Sustainable development Goals.

Hello, I am Alaa from Gaza, 27 years old, and a mother of a baby.I was living a happy life with my husband and pregnant with my first child, but on October 7, my life was turned upside downI was displaced from my home on the first day and lived in my family’s home with my husband and I. I was pregnant with my daughter and went through the worst conditions. There was a siege, food shortages, and water pollution. During my pregnancy, many of the houses near us were bombed, and the smell of death affected my daughter and the smell of gunpowder, which put my daughter’s life at risk in light of the tragic conditions of the hospitals.

On December 24, my husband’s and my house was bombed and completely destroyed by Israeli raids. My husband and I became homeless.On January 23, the occupation launched a ground campaign against the place where I live, which forced us to flee within 5 hours. I fled, leaving my husband behind as he did not want to leave his city.It was a difficult displacement journey as I was carrying my daughter in the seventh month and I fled on foot for a distance of about 20 kilometers under enemy fire and shelling.

My child and I faced great difficulty during the displacement as There was no clean food or drink and a lack of vitamins. On February 27, I received the news of my husband's death in an Israeli raid. My daughter became an orphan before she was born. After the bitterness of loss and sadness, specifically on March 19, on a rainy night and under bombardment, the time for delivery came. It was one of the most difficult nights, as there was no doctor, and there was no continuation to go to the hospital. The sounds of explosions filled the place. After we arrived at the hospital, there was no adequate medical care, whether from doctors, cleanliness, or any needs for a pregnant woman. After hours of waiting and providing a doctor, I gave birth under the most difficult conditions, as there were no clothes for my daughter in light of the aggression. I suffered from the lack of a bed to sit on after giving birth. The delivery process was extremely difficult, as if I had escaped death again and God had blessed me with my daughter Fatoum. I was displaced again, she and I, to the unknown, and we live in a tent that does not protect from the cold of winter or the heat of summer. Due to malnutrition and poor living conditions, my daughter is exposed to chronic skin diseases and intestinal infections. Therefore, help me and my daughter to escape death and bear the burdens of life.🍉❤️

Hello, among the hundreds of tragic stories, I am sharing my painful story.

My name is Ahmed Khalil, I am 6 years old. I was at the beginning of my education, trying to learn, participate, and play with other children. My family consists of 8 members, including my mother and father. My father has diabetes, my brother Fathi is blind, my other brother Abdullah has autism, and my brother Mohammed was injured in his leg by shrapnel from rockets.

On October 7, 2023, the war began and has not stopped since. The airstrikes and Israeli shelling caused fear for me and my family. We could not endure the massive explosions that felt like recurring earthquakes and the red flames sweeping through the area. We were forced to flee to southern Gaza based on orders from the Israeli forces, leaving our beautiful apartments behind. We went to a UN refugee school in Deir al-Balah to escape the terror and death.

We stumbled into a different life full of suffering from every side, living through the most painful hell of war. I developed malnutrition due to contaminated water, poor hygiene, and the spread of infectious diseases with no suitable medicine available.

The situation is catastrophic and unbearable. “There is only death left in Gaza. Even death has become a privilege because it provides a sense of relief.” My older brother Mohammed and I begged our father to leave Gaza, but it was extremely difficult due to the high costs. My father lost all his property during the war, including his electronics repair center and apartment, which were completely destroyed, so he has nothing to help us travel out of Gaza. There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip.

I pray every moment for the end of this war and a ceasefire. The ceasefire is not just a call; it is a desperate cry to end the helplessness and despair spreading to every corner after more than 11 months of war. We flee from death every day, only to wake up the next morning to try to escape it again. My heart is heavy, unable to bear the recurring nightmares, and the overwhelming flood of news about blood, displacement, loss, and despair pouring from Gaza.

Every minute feels like a struggle. No one should have to endure this injustice, segregation, and discrimination. The ongoing shelling in southern Gaza and the intense bombardment of residential buildings in Deir al-Balah make everyone feel unsafe, believing they might be the next to face tragedy. Communications are cut off. We are exhausted and cannot bear more tragedies and losses. We are currently living in a classroom of the UN center, which is crowded with people, including my relatives and cousins. My poor father sees our pale faces and weak bodies and stands helpless due to the lack of money and resources.

I am still six years old, and I never thought I would witness such a brutal attack with complete disregard for human values. I am deprived of my basic rights, including health and education. I need to rebuild my life with my family abroad and receive better healthcare. Traveling to Egypt would cost at least $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, which is an enormous amount given the harsh living conditions and the blockade that has lasted for 17 years.

In addition, evacuation funds are needed for the members of Doaa's family that are still trapped in Gaza, including 11 children and her father, who has been incapacitated by a stroke. these are only a few of the charitable acts he did. he did many of these things anonymously, intentionally so. but the thing is when you do so many things that touch so many lives, they tend to outlive you long after you're gone. i think of him every Christmas, and i wish he was still with us. but i'm glad we had him at all.

Hello everyone, Welcome, friends who cherish life and spread hope and support to others. I'm Mohammed, a 30-year-old husband and proud father. My daughter, Mona, just celebrated her fifth birthday on July 15, 2024. I named her after my strong mother, who raised and educated my four siblings and me despite losing our father, our backbone, to cancer during our childhood. Our homes, our places of safety, were destroyed following an occupation order to evacuate. With no sources of income left, I took on various jobs to support my family and provide them with the essentials of life—food and water. I also volunteer to help thousands of displaced people with food and support, despite the risks involved. Compassion and assistance are vital for creating life and saving innocent lives with dignity. After nine months of enduring harsh conditions and displacement, we have made the difficult decision to seek help. My family, including my mother, sisters, their children, my wife, and my daughter, is suffering from severe health issues due to poor living conditions in tents, extreme heat, and contaminated water. Recently, my sister get affected by hepatitis, as well my daughter had sebaceous cysts near her eyes and others are battling new illnesses caused by the intense heat. Thus, we seek help since the cost of daily necessities in Gaza reaches $27 a day for non-potable water which is overwhelming. We have decided to launch a fundraising campaign to help us survive. We need assistance until the borders open so we can move to Egypt for a chance at a dignified life. Crossing the border costs $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, verified by official sources. Additionally, we need funds for temporary living expenses until we can secure jobs. With hopeful hearts, we reach out to you, our friends and supporters.
