what are everyone’s ranking order for the narnia books. as a kid mine was 5-7-3-4-6-1-2, or something like that, with each number denoting the chronological order. now I have come to my senses about the seventh and I’m midway through a grown-up reread but I think it’ll be something like 5-3-6-1-4-2-7.
#mine#chronological order is magician's nephew tltwatw horse and his boy prince caspian dawn treader silver chair last battle#i think i totally get each being someone's favourite except maybe the last battle#idk what i was on about as a kid that book was not very good#maybe the hardcore christians love it because it's all allegory but like that went over my head when i was a kid i was in denial any of it w#as based on christianity#i guess i don't agree with prince caspian or tltwatw or the magician's nephew being the top favourite either#but that's just me thinking they are among the narratively weaker books#tltwatw can be your favourite for nostalgia reasons though that's ok#it is a great intro to the world but idk i just don't think it's the best novel#like you get introduced to the world and 100% it's got an awesome villain and great character arc with edmund#but then it's jsut kind of wandering around and aslan and santa solve everyone's problems for them#except i guess at the stone table that's a nice scene#i know i was just objecting to christian allegories but listen i don't mind if they work well as story beats still#the stone table scene is great! the end of the last battle is just stupid!#aslan randomly appearing as a lamb because why tf not in dawn treader? kind of pointless#but the rest of it is all good#anyway i love these books so much good lord they were formative#maybe this is my cozy fantasy origin story#because technically they all feature some sort of war/violence but it's mostly off-screen and over very quickly and the main characters don'#t partake#so not much of a focus so much as the Adventure and Fun of the World are#k i take back what i said about tltwatw it's a really solid plot#i just like the books that are more vibes#narnia

Caspian and you slept soundly, unaware of the events which will occur.
He was amidst a dream, one he dreamt every night, when suddenly a cold hand clasped across his mouth, jolting him awake.
Caspian soon calmed once he realised who it was and rolled his eyes, about to turn on his side. "Five more minutes."
"You won't be watching the stars tonight, my prince. Come, we must hurry." The professor grabbed hold of Caspian's wrist and lifted him up.
"What about Y/n?" Panic laced his voice as he let the man drag him about his bedroom.
"You must leave your lady wife, my prince, we must get you out quickly."
"No!" Caspian pulled back his arm and moved to wake you.
"Y/n, you must wake. The soldiers are coming for us."
You were blissfully asleep, until you awoke to Caspian frantically shaking you.
"My love, what is going on?" You were a bit disoriented as your sleep was deep, but the panic in his eyes was what woke you fully.
"Caspian. What's going on." You said sternly.
"I-I don't-" He was interrupted by the professor.
"Your aunt, she's...she's had a son. Now come, through here." The man led you through a secret passageway through your wardrobe, wasting no time to make your way down the stairs into the armory room.
Caspian grabbed a sword and other protective gear.
Just because you were a woman doesn't mean that you weren't trained in at least one form of combat.
Caspian specialised in swords, but you were a skilled archer.
So you picked up a bow and arrow and you all made your way to the horses.
All of you had decided that it was too dangerous to take two horses, so you sat behind Caspian.
"You must make for the woods."
"The woods?" You questioned.
"They won't follow you there." The professor then pulled out a mysterious object. "It has taken me many years to find this, only use it when needed."
"Will we ever see you again?" Caspian's voice was full of hope, but you didn't have the heart to tell him that you probably wouldn't.
"I dearly hope so, my prince. There is so much more I meant to tell you. Everything you know is about to change."
You and the Professor shared a look before you wrapped your arms tightly around Caspian's waist, setting off to hopefully start a new life.

(This mood board is freaking awesome and everything you really need to know about me, the love of my life @im-on-crack-send-help made this)
(Right I think It's time for me to finally get this over with )
Helloo and Welcome to my Blog, This is Primarily a Writer/readerBlr, but there are other things too(Particularly listening to podcasts ) since I can't be bothered to make a side one.
My reader side - I am an avid reader and am almost always in the middle of a book, I will be updating here on which books I'm reading
Current read list -
Dracula (Bram Stoker)
The Screaming Staircase (Jonathan Stroud)
A Dance with the Fae Prince (Elise Kova)
American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer (Kai Bird)
The Silver Birds (Apolline Lucy)
That Night (Nidhi Upadhyay)
The Complete Adventures of Feluda, Vol 1 (Satyajit Ray)
The Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown)
The God of Small Things (Arundhati Roy)
The War of Lanka (Amish Tripathi) (YES I CAN FINALLY TAKE THIS OFF MY LIST I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THIS I CAN'T BE HAPPIER)
City of Bones (Cassandra Clare)
Circe (Madeline Miller)
The Housemaid is Watching (Freida McFadden)
And that's all I can remember Right about now , Yes I'm reading 10 books or more simultaneously, no I do not have an explanation to that.
My main Genre is Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery and thriller, But I do love widening my scope so do recommend me any books you might think may pique my interest. 😁
My reader side also includes me obsessing over podcasts, I'm including my Favourite podcasts here too, and I assure you they are amazing!
Podcasts for you - I usually listen to them on Spotify and love True crime, mystery, Murder mysteries etc. Here they are -
Rotten Mango by Stephanie Soo (True Crime) - I wouldn't suggest you listen to this if you get disgusted or scared easily, I usually am not affected by these kinds of things and I was still very disturbed, The first 2 episodes are quite... I would suggest you research about it more before you listen to it.
Baking a Murder by Stephanie Soo (Books and movies) - This podcast is again one of my favourites, the way she explains the movie is just so immersive, if you want to understand a story but don't have time to sit down and read the book/watch the movie then this is for you.
7 Suspects by Cryptic Radio(Murder Mystery ) - OH MY GOD, holy- this is probably one of the best mystery podcasts I've ever listened to, tbh you think you know what is going on and till the very end that is kinda sorta true, but then in the like the last 5 moments the plot twist so intense you are left sinking on to the floor thinking "What just happened", listen to, right now.
Magnus Archives by Rusty Quill (Story? horror? not sure what it comes under) - I've started listening to it after getting intense FOMO and can confirm it's going pretty well, I mean I have a LOT to catch up to, but I can say, it's caught my interest.
Murder in HR by Caspian Studios (Murder Mystery) - Again OH MY GOD, again, this is one of the best mystery podcasts I've ever listened to, I mean yeah, the gym ad thingy gets a little bit annoying but the rest of the story compensates for it, again, you think you know where you are going, again up until the very end you just don't know what the hell is going on, and again (Do you see a pattern) when the mystery hits you you are flabbergasted, soo I suggest give it a listen(also kinda obsessed with the soundtrack).
Murphy's Inc. by 97toNow Productions (Scifi mystery) - This is one of the better ones, I'm still listening to it and it's just actually really good, It's kinda the thing you listen to once a day, kinda relaxing (for me at least )
Ok, so this one is a bit different, there is a podcast Caso 63: Enigma: Spotify studios but it's in Spanish which I still haven't quite learnt and I didn't know this existed. I was recommended 2063 theke Esechi by Spotify Studios which is in Bengali which I do, in fact, understand. It was voiced by one of my favourite actors and I was absolutely in love with it, It feels like I wasn't listening to a podcast but a movie and there is so much confusion and so many twists. This podcast has been made in other languages as well, the other two ik are Case 63 (In English) and Virus 2062(In Hindi). So check it out!!
Treat by C13Features (Horror, gory) - This is like a podcast movie, it's around 2 hours long maybe? this is pretty good I would say, you can give it a listen.
Welcome to Night Vale by Night Vale Presents (Absurdity?) - I really don't think I need to say anythi_-_- HAIL THE GLOWCLOUD.
Morning Cup of Murder by Morning Cup of Murder (True Crime) - True crime yk...
The Sounds of Nightmares by Little Nightmares - Bandai Namco Europe (Horror, gore, mystery) - Uhh it's a little unnerving how detailed the actions of characters are As if they were compensating for the fact that there are no visuals, but it was pretty good I would say(Also like the soundtrack)
My writer side- My most popularly known name is Jeah (jee - ah) and I'll be using that here, I am a new author getting started on writing. I still have a looong way to go but, I enjoy writing very much even though my mind and body are definitely not on par with my will to write which is why my second unintended hobby is procrastination. Most of the time that I'm here on Tumblr I am supposed to be doing some other work, like right now.
Anywaysss here are my current WIP's
Mirror My Way - This is my first and only properly published Book. Tbh Not very proud of it, I did it in a hurry, because I took part in the school's Writing program, did nothing the whole year, and finished it in the last week, I honestly think It had potential but I kinda ruined it trying to finish it within the deadline. I wouldn't recommend you read it, It was supposed to be a part of a duology or trilogy but I think I'm just gonna let it sit in the corner for now, let it be there, think upon its mistakes, it did wrong 😤.
Tots and Coffee - Now this one I like better, this was actually inspired by the Scam Caller post here on Tumblr. Kinda had a sudden burst of inspiration and Wrote the first Chapter and since then it's still going pretty strong. Unlike the previous one, it is there on Ao3 if you wish to read it 😁.
I dunno what to call this but I occasionally write short stories in the replies of Pinterest pins when I come across writing prompts. This isn't a wip exactly but , I once posted the starting of a story and jokingly wrote "Continue-!" at the end thinking that would be the end of it, but someone did eventually continue it and that led to a string of events and a very weirdly Eledritch, beautiful Frankestine story formation, I'll be posting it slowly here on Tumblr as well, so keep checking!
Forgot to put it in earlier, but check out @the-writers-corner-inc It's a group blog I initiated, and you can find lots of fun stories, prompts, visuals and more!!
Oh just a side note, I amde another side blog where I post the answer of the everyday wordle.@answer-of-the-everyday-wordle
And that's about it, I don't what else to say, but while you're here, grab a cup of coffee or tea, pick out a book and read a page, I'm right here on the other side with a book as well, let's be booky buddies 😄😄😃😃🍵☕

did you like chronicles of narnia? i don't think I've ever seen you talking about it and i would love to hear your thoughts on the movies and/or the books if you have anything to say
hmm, yeah, i don't think i've ever spoken about the chronicles of narnia, i liked it a lot as a kid but it never really stayed with me as an adult probably because without getting into the blatant religious overtones, it really is quite heavy-handed and very much for children although i did write a paper in high school basically saying that while i was a fan of harry potter, the books just treaded on a lot of what narnia and lotr already did hahaha. some notes my teacher had about my premise, which is interesting
Tumblr media
the first thing i ABSOLUTELY need to say about narnia is that as a kid, i read the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe many times. i read it at home (there was this actually this one audio book that me and dad listened to when that i really loved because of one line when lucy takes them to the wardrobe and it's still just a wardrobe and peter in the most sarcastic voice goes, "what a surprise" and i BURST out laughing particularly since i don't think that's even in the book??) then we read it in my grade 3 class and one day my teacher brought in turkish delight and i was freaking the fuck out because i always wanted to know what was SO good about turkish delight that edmund would sell out his entire fucking family, i was like i need to know what this tastes like. my teacher, miss k, took out this really pretty red tin and i was excited AS FUCK. then i tasted it. i don't think i have ever been more disappointed in my entire fucking life. i HATED it, i hated the texture, i hated the taste, i was furious. and i remember talking to my teacher because she was like you have to understand that they're growing up during the war and things like candy were a luxury and i was like fine but for THIS candy? no. absolutely not. no. nope. NOPE. flashforward to about three days ago, i'm scrolling through IG and there's this one reel where this woman was like, ok we need to discuss edmund and turkish delight again because i know we ate it and were like this is a mediocre treat (for me i actually almost threw up when i took a bite so a bit worse than mediocre) and she reread the passage where he eats it and c.s. lewis describes it as basically once you eat it, you just want to eat more so the woman in the reel was like edmund basically gave up his family for the kiddie version of cocaine so we should be more lenient and i was like LMAO fair.
so, for the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe i remember thinking the movie was pretty much exactly how i pictured the book. except for the white witch that's not how i pictured her but i was like, that's absolutely edmund and lucy and susan and peter, that is great casting and i particularly liked when mr. tumnus gets lucy to sleep because i thought the movie really elevated that part of the book and really leaned into the eeriness and creepiness of it. aslan's death was also very stressful for me.
OKAY. prince caspian. i haven't seen prince caspian since i saw it in theatres so i'm only going on what i remember from the movie, which is that i didn't like it, i didn't like the peter vs. caspian (ugh demon eyes) thing because that's not what happens in the book if i remember correctly and it seemed unnecessary and it made me uncomfortable because susan and caspian were having their little thing whatever that was and peter felt like his authority was threatened and it oddly felt like a weird love triangle because susan was caught in the middle and i was like i don't like any of this, please keep it. and i didn't like it so much that i didn't bother watching voyage of the dawn treader.
i really liked the magician's nephew, which is probably the most overlooked book of the series even though it starts it, i was obsessed with the wood between worlds as a kid, i just loved the way it was described
Tumblr media
kind of like how i was obsessed with the ents in high school, lmao, i just harp on things sometimes, out of all of them, i actually think it's the most magical book.

books i read in 2023 ranked: (bolding the ones that aren’t rereads)
shadow and bone by leigh bardugo. i don’t CARE if you think this book is bad. it has my friend ALINA in it. so what if it was bad who even cares. alina was in it.
the hound of the baskervilles by arthur conan doyle. not to be an annoying person but what do you want from me i got to get into sherlock holmes this year it was great fun and this book was awesome ok. the whole thing was just our boy john wandering around the moors almost thinking there was a haunted dog in the woods. ok, it was more involved than that but i loved reading about him wandering the moors <3
six of crows by leigh bardugo. utterly devoured this one it was a slay. i love a heist i love a crazyinsane romance i love multiple povs… she had it all
the bronze key by holly black and cassandra clare. can’t even get into it. crazy book to read at 15 and then reread at 22
prince caspian by c s lewis. didn't even plan to read this it just struck me one day this fall that i had to hang out with caspian or i'd die and then that was that it happens idk
a study in scarlet by arthur conan doyle. make no mistake this was a slay and a half. however... not to give away the plot if you were concerned with spoilers for a book published in 1887. but um. the way that halfway through it just cuts to mormons is kinda wild. not bad really, it was a cool backstory and i maintain the crime was justified. but it was weird man...
chain of thorns by cassandra clare. i would put this cunt lower but i can't deny the facts which are that grace blackthorn made me cry so much this year. i loved her i loved reading about her...
the copper gauntlet by holly black and cassandra clare. slayed. served even. idk you guys were there you saw the Posting
the iron trial by holly black and cassandra clare. again you saw the posting... i love call....
the great gatsby by f scott fitzgerald. nick carroway truly one of the best literary freaks of all time i think
the silver mask by holly black and cassandra clare. i don't want to be a hater but. it's just not the best now is it?
the field guide by holly black and tony diterlizzi. you can argue that i cheated by reading this short ass children's book today to meet my reading goal but i stricly followed the letter of the law ok. check and mate. anyway i love the spiderwick chronicles but wow i forgot that nothing happens in book 1. i had already planned to reread the whole series soon anyway so. i'll be doing that over the next few weeks <3
the sign of the four by arthur conan doyle. not his best. was kind of giving side eye for a lot of it, both at artie himself for writing it and at my boy john watson for some of his actions. i know mary was 27 but i still think she was too young to be marrying that washed up army doctor... sorry john we're pals and all it's just. well you kind of are a washed up army doctor. can't say much about the plot as the plot was lame as hell. oh btw this one is where the "i knew he was an alchoholic because his watch has scratches around the key to wind it" comes from. famous origin for bbc sherlock phone charger alchoholic plotline we all as tumblr users have heard so much about. also i did not like the audiobook narrator but whatever. i alternated between audiobook and reading it on my phone so i didn't listen to the whole thing but. i just didn't like his voice very much i'll be honest. maybe i'm english accent phobic idk. maybe he was just specifically annoying because his Woman Voice he used for mary was so fucking bad. anyway.
the golden tower by holly black and cassandra clare. i can't get into it much. i’ll say that this is the only book i read this year that i actually threw across the room because it made me so mad. it happens
into the wild by john krakauer. i'm not one for non fiction apparently. sorry to the non fiction heads out there

OK GO OFF
so i have a phd in middle english lit and dabble in old english and read it pretty well and obviously am aware of the 'ubi sunt' poetic formula [literally 'where are...' which is, you know, the 'alas look at all these things that we have lost' structure used here]
and when teaching classes have always triangulated between two examples: 'hey look, tolkien used this formula in a way derived directly from old english poetry' and 'hey look chaucer used this in an apostrophe in Troilus and Criseyde to make a cunt joke[1]'
and i never once realised this is a direct translation of a specific poem rather than just him writing in that style using that formula and do you know what this reminds me of
my sister saying 'well, now you've reached the peak of your career, go home I guess' when I found the exact letter in Froissart's account of the opening years of the 100 year war that must surely have been the direct inspiration for Peter's challenge letter to Miraz in Prince Caspian.
(don't forget to spell 'abhominable' with an 'h', doctor.)
[1] troilus addressing criseyde's house after she's left, approximately: 'oh house! oh house where is the etc etc, oh house of which queynte [quenched/cunt] is the light'
WHERE NOW THE HORSE AND THE RIDER-Aka how I just had a Tolkien related freak out on the train
I can't believe what just happened to me. As in, it's such a weird chain of events that it has left me a little dizzy.
I was reading "Les Nourritures Terrestres" by Gide, and I got to a point he cites parts of a poem which I liked very much. The notes informed me that it's a French translation of "an 8th century saxon elegy called 'The Wanderer' "
That intrigued me, and, being on a train with a lot of time to pass (plus being a little tired of reading in French), I took out my phone and searched for the poem.
I found it here. It's the lament of a warrior in exile who has lost his lord and mourns the joy and glory of a world that has now disappeared. I was enjoying it a lot.
And then I got to this point:
Tumblr media
And my mouth actually dropped open, because what?
Are you telling me that the Lament for the Rohirrim, one of my favourite poems in LOTR, which I learnt by heart at 13 and later took care to learn in the original English, which I sing when I do the dishes and which routinely makes me cry, is Tolkien's translation of an 8th century Saxon elegy?
Well, the notes at the end of the page confirmed it:
Tumblr media
"Tolkien's rendition is hard to resist" I bet it is. I love that professional philologists add notes to their work saying "yeah, by the way, this bit here? It's in your favourite fantasy novel, and I am kinda jealous of how well it was translated, but it's Tolkien, the man spoke Old English, what can you do? Carry on, xoxo"
I mean, I had gathered that the Tolkien poem played on themes used in medieval literature, but I had no idea it was based on an actual, specific text. That makes it a hundred times cooler!
Maybe it's common knowledge, but it was a delicious tidbit of good news to me. Especially since I wasn't expecting it in the least, so I was blindsided by it.
Cherry on top? I had ignored the Old English text, since I don't understand it, but at the end I gave it a cursory read , and the line "Alas for the splendor of the prince"? "Eala þeodnes þrym!"
Now, I have never studied Old English, but I know roughly how to pronounce it (what kind of Silmarillion fan would I be if I didn’t recognize the thorn?). þeodnes has to be where "Theoden" comes from, right?
Apparently yes. I googled the "Lament for the Rohirrim", and Tolkien Gathaway has a nice little parapraph in which they explain all this. I don't know why I had never read it before, but it was a lot more fun learning it as an unexpected detour from my French practice, not gonna lie.
Bottom line: Tolkien was a both a nerd and a genius and continues to make my life brighter, and this is one of those moments in which I am very happy I have spent years of my life learning languages.
Thanks for coming to my impromptu TedTalk.

hehehehehehe y'all thought i was done
ok so @judyismydog brought up this point on one of my posts abt Peter and Edmund, and i have SO many thoughts about how, throughout "Prince Caspian", we see Edmund and Peter's relationship growing closer, while Susan and Lucy grow further apart!!!!
i think "Prince Caspian" does a really great job of showing how the siblings' dynamics have changed because of their time in Narnia without really showing us anything. We get the feeling that the four trust one another more, they have each other's backs, they're a unit.
However, with Peter and Edmund, it's like they have a mental connection, they're able to tell the other's next move and communicate without words. Peter's much more trusting of Edmund, he believes him (as compared with how he acted in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", when he called Edmund a liar).
Meanwhile, you have Susan and Lucy, who have gone from having a very close sister relationship to now having a bit more of a struggle connecting. Susan's struggling to believe Lucy when she says that Aslan has a plan, she's more hesitant and uncertain. This is compared to the first movie, where Susan, after a bit of hesitation, followed after Lucy and followed her lead.
this divide + closeness is shown REALLY well whenever we see the four together after meeting up with Caspian!
First off, Edmund and Peter stick together as much as possible. They rarely separate, always standing beside each other or running after one another. The only time they are apart is when Edmund goes to confront Miraz, and then he's right back at Peter's side.
Meanwhile, Lucy and Susan start separating much more.
This shot of Edmund, Peter, Caspian, and Lucy had me noticing something:
Tumblr media
whenever they're in their throne lineup, before the battle, either Susan or Lucy is missing, and Caspian is standing in their place. Here, he's standing in Susan's place, and then, before the actual battle, he's in Lucy's place.
Susan separates her and Lucy when they're looking for Aslan, staying behind while Lucy goes on ahead (perhaps a bit of unintentional foreshadowing to how Susan stays behind in our world while Lucy goes onto Aslan's Country 👀)
During the duel, Edmund is pretty much GLUED to Peter's side whenever he's not fighting. He's supporting him, both emotionally and physically, and Peter is revealing some of his worst fears to his brother ("what happens in our world when you die here?"), showing how much trust he has in his brother!
now I'm getting into how the costumes show this separation/connection, because i really don't think it was intentional, but there's a lot to discuss there!
this shot from their entrance into Aslan's How really shows it perfectly:
Tumblr media
Susan and Lucy's costumes in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" were very cohesive, usually matching tones of blues and greens, but here, from the moment they step into their Narnian clothes, they're already separated.
like, look at the outfits we saw the two wear in the first movie:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they matched!!! even though their coronation cloaks were different colors, they were still a pair, and it was obvious.
but not in "Prince Caspian"...
Lucy is in the very vibrant red orange dress, whereas Susan is in a much cooler purple. yes, the colors compliment each other, but the vibrancy of Lucy's dress vs. the muted tones of Susan's dress really separates the two of them, as well as separating Lucy from her brothers. However, we see throughout the movie that Lucy's relationship with her brothers is still quite close, and they defer to her quite a bit.
Peter and Edmund's shirts are in matching tones of dark purple-ish brown and blue. They go together, there's a clear connection there. Those shirts were probably made in their early years as rulers, and whoever made them probably made them for the kings to match together.
(also, Peter and Lucy's outfits match in color almost perfectly, and Lucy's brighter red orange compliments Edmund's brighter blue, leaving Susan the odd one out slightly as her purple isn't necessarily the right shade to match with Edmund's blue)
Tumblr media
then, of course, you have Peter and Edmund's armor matching almost identically.
and i've gone into the outfits at the end of the movie, prior to their return to our world, but i need to discuss them again:
Susan and Lucy's colors once again feel disjointed compared to Peter and Edmund.
Tumblr media
Lucy's darker green and bright floral pattern really contrasts against Susan's pale blue and very light (i think it's white) floral pattern. Just like how Lucy's red orange dress separated her from her siblings, this time, it's Susan's pale blue dress that separates her from the other three.
(which is really interesting considering the outfits we see for a brief moment during the parade at the end of the movie)
Tumblr media
like once again the colors are a bit disjointed, but even then, with Lucy's pink dress and Susan's red, they still match! the styles of their dresses are similar, the sleeves are similar styles, even their hair is styled the same!!
during this last scene, it's so different.
Peter and Edmund match. Peter's almost grey blue shirt with Edmund's dark green pairs perfectly, and if Lucy was standing between them, or beside Edmund, they'd be a very cohesive group.
and just look at how perfectly Lucy and Edmund match:
Tumblr media
their colors compliment each other, even though Lucy's dress is a more vibrant green, the more muted light green on her sleeves pairs with Edmund's!!
But Susan's dress, being so light, it's almost jarring. The color, the style, it doesn't match her siblings at all, which I think is really interesting
(also kind of connected but not really, the dress Lucy wears when she dreams of being Susan in "The Dawn Treader" is basically a version of this dress, the light blue and white floral pattern, and now i'm going to cry)
and finally, the image that started it all:
Tumblr media
LOOK at how they're standing! they're still in their throne order, but there's like the smallest bit of room between Peter and Edmund, their arms are pretty much touching, but Susan and Lucy have quite a bit of pace between them, they're not standing close together like they did when they were in Narnia.
yeah i've just over-analyzed this entire movie and now i'm very emotional and need 3-5 business days to recover <3

CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE BEN BARNES' CHARACTER AND I'LL DESCRIBE YOU
Tumblr media
PRINCE CASPIAN - Chronicles of Narnia
Ok babes you have been with this man for a while, you followed him since the beginning and your crush just grew stronger. If you like Caspian you probably are still close to your childhood, you have great imagination and you dream of living your Mamma Mia fantasy in Greece or Italy with a hot Mediterranean hunk.
Tumblr media
LOGAN DELOS - Westworld
Well... let's just say you like toxic men, shall we? I get the appeal of Logan, I mean he's raw and sexy, but also cruel and ruthless so GIRL RUN. You probably have some issues you need to overcome but you still enjoy a bad guy from time to time (literally cuz you probably like period dramas or things like that). I would say you are adventurous and your favorite movie is Jumanji (don't tell me how I know it)
Tumblr media
BILLY RUSSO - The Punisher
Oh boy another bad guy. Let me just say this: daddy issues. This man is not for everyone, but he still caught your interest. You admire people who go against the system and look damn good while doing it. You like superhero movies (duh) and would like for Ben to come back in the MCU. Also also, I imagine you also have Stockholm Syndrome so pls get some help.
Tumblr media
THE DARKLING - Shadow and Bone
Another bad guy? Seriously?! This is the newest addition to the bad guys squad: he is evil, ambitious and manipulative. At this point if you chose any of the last three guys, you're from the dark side baby. But if you chose the General, you enjoy a good fantasy book and a morally grey character. Hardcore fans would argue that his portrayal is not as evil as the Book's Darkling, but still. Watch the bitches trying to defend this bastard from all the atrocities he did.
I am the bitches.
Tumblr media
SIRIUS BLACK - The Marauders
BITCH I know he was just fancast but I've seen more Ben Barnes' Sirius Black than Gary Oldman's. You are probably delusional as you chose a character that doesn't even exist, and you deny any other portrayal of Sirius if it's not Ben's. While doing that you probably deny the existence of Dorian Gray and use those pictures/gifs to shift into the Harry Potter universe. And who am I to judge? Shift shift baby and use protection.
If your favorite character is not on this list let me know and I'll add them (I guess I chose the most important ones)

Kiss me [P. C]
Prince Caspian x reader
Word counts: 2.6k
Warnings: I’m from Mexico so sorry for any misspelling or grammar. If you have any advice tells me!
N/A: I’ll post more Caspian stuff, in case you want to follow me :) (sorry for the scene and narrator changes I hope it's not tedious, haha)
Tumblr media
"Run!" Caspian listened, and the peculiar talking animal did not have to repeat it.
Everything was happening so suddenly. First he had had to flee the castle from a threat he did not know existed, then he had found himself in the home of those strange creatures he thought extinct and was now running for his life from his own army.
The arrows on their crossbows soon arrived and the three had to dodge them as they advanced. Caspian advanced a couple more yards and then heard a scream.
"Oh, no”
"I'll go! The young man shouted, worried about the badger lying on the floor with an arrow stuck in his thigh. When he got to him the soldiers were close, so much so that his aim would not fail this time.
"Take it and run! It's more important than me!” the Narnian shouted, giving him the horn that hours earlier he had touched in the hope that something would happen. Why was it so important, anyway?
He watched the animal and then the troops. A panic attack invaded him and he adopted a grimace of terror. He didn't know what to do, he was trapped, he wouldn't save his friend, and he couldn't confront the men either.
Out of nowhere, the soldier leading the troops was defeated, wounded by a warrior who seemed invisible to human eyes. Caspian wasted no time, so he took trufflehunter in his arms from him to start running.
He kept advancing, with the little animal's complaining on his shoulder and suddenly heard the squeal of a horse. He turned completely frightened because he imagined it would not be difficult for that man to shoot and kill him, but when he watched the person on the beast it was not a uniform.
He was an extremely thin complexion warrior, but with his mouth covered in a cloth and a hood that prevented him from identifying him. He wore worn trousers and a shirt that looked like his, as well as a sword in his right hand with which he had already begun to hurt men. The few who tried to shoot him were in vain, for the invisible warrior seemed to know who wanted to hurt his companion and killed them before the arrows could rub him.
For a moment the presence of both mysterious figures was reassuring, but a second later he was already alarmed again.
If your uncle's men couldn't with them, what was waiting for him?
"Get him out of here!” he yelled at his other companion. He drew his sword and turned the other way, but was surprised to no longer see a single soldier. He frowned rather troubled, but out of nowhere the hooded warrior appeared to attack. He fell gracefully from his horse and pushed Caspian with his sword, causing him to fall from his back to the ground.
"Your last words?” he asked, pointing at his neck with the tip of the sword. Caspian was surprised to hear her voice, which looked not masculine at all. Did you look at the... person? That threatened him and swallowed scared-dead saliva. If his destiny was to die at the hands of the warrior in front of him, then he would.
But before sticking the sword around his neck, the warrior paid a little more attention to him and Caspian saw it pale. On his side appeared a small talking mouse with a sword, which encouraged him to kill the telmarine at once.
"You are a mouse" Caspian said, forgetting for a moment the swordsman in front of him.
"Very original to be your last words" he mocked, but Caspian was more focused on how the warrior's knees in front of him faltered and saw him stumble until he fell backwards.
He had fainted.
Caspian tried to get close but the mouse wouldn't let him. Instead he threatened him with the sword while running to help his companion. He took off his hood, cloth and that's when Caspian also felt him faint.
The warrior was a girl.
You opened your eyes and observed a beautiful field, one that definitely did not belong to the forest of Narnia in which you lived.
You were dreaming or, rather, remembering.
You looked at your clothes, smaller than you expected, and you knew what I remember it was. Actually, a very special one.
"Y/N!” somebody screamed behind you, with joy. When you turned, you saw a long-haired teenager running in your direction with a huge smile. “I found you! You're terrible at this game, if you don't mind me saying so" he murmured, smiling more as he stood in front of you. “What's the matter?”
"Caspian" you whispered gently. Despite the years you couldn't help but remember even a single detail of his face. His pale skin, his black hair up to his shoulders, his red lips and cheeks blushed by physical activity. You sighed with relief and threw yourself into his arms, feeling his scent. It smelled like gardenias and linen.
"Hey, I'm not going to forgive you, this victory no matter how mellow you are, you understand?” he said funny, but you didn't seem to want to say anything. You just wanted to hold on to him, you wanted to feel it close to you as much as possible.
At that point, after reliving so many times that moment, you no longer knew it was real and that it was a lie as to words, but the sensations never changed.
"Never leave me" you asked with a lump in your throat, feeling his hands sneak down your back until he held your waist
"Why would I?” he asked gently, near your ear.
"Just promise me, will you?" you whispered. You separated a little from him and both came face to face, with your noses barely rubbing. “Promise it.”
"Sure, I promise" he gasped. The words that came out of his mouth no longer mattered, but the feeling of your breath against his. “But again, why do you think I'd leave?”
"Because you already did" you murmured short, holding back tears.
"What do you mean...?”
"Kiss me" you demanded, taking the cloth from his shirt. You were a little aware that you had both kissed in that meadow when you were younger, but you weren't so sure it was exactly after you told him I'd abandoned you because you weren't even close to knowing it.
"What do you say?” Caspian asked in a trembling voice, but paying a little more attention to your lips. Without wasting time you pulled it a little towards you, feeling his breath get stuck in his throat.
You felt him respond to the kiss for a second, his lips velvety in contrast to yours, but the next second you opened your eyes and he was gone.
You were no longer in the beautiful meadow where your first kiss happened. You were in the woods, at night, alone.
You called him, yelled his name, but he never answered. You started crying and took a couple of steps just to bump into something heavy.
It was a lifeless body. He was...
"Caspian!” you screamed discouraged, waking up from the fading you had experienced.
When your eyes clear, you realized your feet didn't touch the floor and a couple of arms held you carefully.
"I'm here, calm down" someone whispered, hugging you more against him. When you saw the young man holding you, you let out a high-pitched cry and from the impression he dropped you against the moss on the floor. “Y/N! Are you ok? Did you hurt yourself?”
"You're not real!” you said raising your voice, sticking your back against a nearby tree. “You're not... you... Caspian is dead," you murmured frightenedly, watching the man squat and approaching with the intention of reassuring you a little.
"It's not like that, look at me. I'm here" he said kindly, holding one of your hands. “Come, feel my heart” carefully placed your hand, small compared to his, on the left side of his chest. “It's beating. I'm real, I'm here" he repeated, worried about your expression of terror.
"He told me you were dead.”
"I was told that you...” and he was silent, unable to complete the sentence. He never believed that lie, so he had never said it out loud. “How did you survive all this time?” He asked short.
"Do you know this telmarine?” Someone said beside him. You looked at the three creatures present and realized that Reepicheep was the one who had spoken.
"I..." you hesitated. What if it was all just another dream?
"She's a little shocked by the falls, give her space," trufflehunter said. You thanked internally for not having to answer questions.
"We have to go, we can't waste time" Nikabrik said now. You had a little trouble breathing.
"Can you walk?” Caspian asked, looking at you again. Damn, when was the last time you saw those bright eyes? now it seemed like an eternity. “Or I could charge you, if you like.”
"I can walk" you said quickly. You stood up and walked as far away from the man as possible, hoping that the emptiness in your stomach would also go away. Without waiting for an answer you started walking without a course and heard Caspian follow in your footsteps. Apparently your sword was no longer in place, but at a glance you noticed Caspian was wearing your belt.
"Where's my horse?" you asked worried. Caspian came over already took the opportunity to hold you by the waist.
"Calm down, he's fine" he said quietly, looking you in the eye again. “God, I can't take it anymore. Would it be too much trouble if we rested for a few minutes?” he asked the others, still holding you. “I want to talk to you alone," he continued, but now kinder.
"How do we know you're trustworthy?” Reepicheep asked, in an attempt to take care of his friend.
"It's all right. He's good, he'd never hurt me" you said in his direction to reassure him. And so it was, you couldn't blame Caspian for all the suffering you'd faced during those years. “I know a river near here, we can talk there" you said. Caspian nodded and let you go, waiting for you to guide him.
"Don't be late" Reepicheep warned, pointing the sword at you.
You started walking and Caspian followed you, both quietly for a few minutes. When you were far enough away, he came a little closer to you until his little finger grazed your hand. He wanted to take it, but he didn't have the courage to do it.
"So...”
"Why didn't you ever look for me?” you said by slowing down your footsteps, in your broken voice. “All this time I thought he was dead... I blamed myself for it, even did you ever look for me?”
"I did" he admitted. Now he did take your hand. “You don't know how long I've been touring every corner of the kingdom looking for you, but all in vain. I never imagined you'd be... well, here" he said. They were silent again until he asked. “Why did you say you blamed yourself? Why did you think I was dead in the first place?”
"Your uncle told me" you exclaimed tremblingly. “He found out about us. He said a woman like me would never be with her nephew. You were, you're an heir to the throne, and I'm just an ordinary girl. He forbade me to see you or swore I'd kill you. Days later he told me that you had received a letter that I never sent and also told me you were dead. That he'd blame me for it if I didn't run away from there. Your guards brought me here to die and... Reepicheep found me, then I met more Narnians and they welcomed me. They taught me everything I know and I in return began to protect the forest from the telmarines" you explained, looking down. “So many years thinking you were dead, Caspian. So many years I missed you and cried for you. I... God, I was just a kid when your uncle did that. If I'd known you were okay, I'd have looked for you" you finished, now you're in tears bathing your cheeks.
Caspian grabbed your chin and raised your face. He was crying too.
"My uncle told me you abandoned me. If it's any consolation, I never believed it. That's why I looked for you so long, because... I thought something very bad had happened to you. And I see I wasn't that wrong" he admitted followed by a sob.
When you saw he like this, you felt all the pain accumulated over those years bursting into you and breaking down in tears. Caspian hugged you against his chest and you cried together, expressing more in that embrace than with all the words of the world.
After a long time you felt a huge peace and even though you didn't know Caspian's reasons for being there, you didn't care anymore.
You didn't care because he was pursued by the guards or because it was in the hands of your friends. All you cared about was feeling his arms around you and the constant beat of his heart.
He was Caspian, after all, your Caspian.
"There's something I still don't believe, you know?” he began to say in a low tone.
"And what is it?” you also responded in a whisper, fearing altering the peace that surrounded them.
"You're better at riding and with the sword than I am. I don't know if I should be afraid for my life" he joked and forced you to smile broadly.
And then, no place for a smile came laughter of jubilation. Caspian didn't get it, but his chest swelled with love when he heard your laughter again.
"Caspian for God's sake you are alive! You're here with me... Are you ok. I didn't kill you.”
"Kill me? You are crazy?” he asked, worried, hunching a little to keep up with you. “You said it about me: ‘he would never hurt me’ And now I'm telling you; I know you could never hurt me in any way in life. On the contrary, you are the happiness that was taken from me and that I longed for. Here you are, in front of me and I can finally tell you that I loved you every day of your absence. There wasn't a single day when he didn't expect to see you again” he carefully placed his hand on your cheek and admired your face for a moment. “You're beautiful, you haven't changed a bit. You're still the love of my life" he finally expressed, tears filling it up another little bit.
"Kiss me" you said in a whisper, taking the collar of his silk shirt as at some point, when they were younger, you did.
Caspian wasted no time and took you by the waist to lift you up a little, forcing you to tangle your legs in his hip. He was very strong now, because with one hand you held by the thighs and with the other it caressed your cheek, unsure if your skin really felt as usual.
And finally, he kissed you.
He walked a few steps until your back collided with the trunk of a tree and he continued to kiss longer than you would have expected.
This time, when you opened your eyes, you saw a Caspian completely in love and with bright eyes full of life.
You weren't alone in the woods anymore. Now you finally had him.

I actually forgot some last time and also I have a few more to add. This'll probably be the final update before the last one with the tally on Dec 31st.
I forgot to mention last time that I'd tracked down and read Rage by Stephen King (as Richard Bachman). The book is super controversial because of its association with several school shootings and it's subsequent pulling from publication. The version I read was tracked down on the Internet Archive. I really ended up enjoying it however, and I think it really shocked me that there was a very notable queer reading of it I'd never seen mentioned. It's a shame that the book became what it has since if it hadn't become an outlet for toxic masculine anger there may have been more space for discussion around it. I think I found it at a weirdly appropriate moment of my life and I'm glad for having read it.
I also read a number of stories by Ray Bradbury including: The Whole Town's Sleeping, The Rocket, Season of Disbelief, And the Rock Cried Out, The Drummer Boy of Shiloh, The Beggar on O'Connell Bridge, The Flying Machine, Heavy-Set, The First Night of Lent, Lafayette Farewell, Remember Sascha?, and Junior (favs so far bolded). I'm working through a book of short stories which are my first introduction to Bradbury's work and holy shit. It's really good.
Since I last updated I read some more KA Applegate: Megamorphs 3 Elfangor's Secret, The Conspiracy, and The Separation
The Twisted Ones by T. Kingfisher- I enjoyed this one a lot. It's a contemporary take on The White People by Arthur Machen which I intend to read sometime soon to compare.
The Earl not Taken by A.S. Fenichel was alright but a bit longer than what I was looking for. I think I wanted short and sweet period romance and this one dragged for me at places. Also the modern feminist takes were to the books determent but I would've overlooked that if I'd loved it overall. This didn't sell me on the setting or characters, however so I'm going to give the rest of the series a miss.
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree was surprisingly good. I really thought it was going to be a nothing burger but it ended up being a fun fluffy read where you could really tell there was a genuine love of coffee behind it. It made me want to go back to my barista days. I was disappointed by the short story at the end and even more disappointed to learn the sequel is actually a prequel because for me this was all I wanted from these characters and I don't really want to revisit them. If the author writes more in this universe away from Viv and her friends, however, I'll be more than willing to read his other work.
Christmas Charms by Teri Wilson was a fun Christmas romance. Exactly what I wanted to set the mood. Very funny that the main character rebels so hard against the magic charm bracelet that kicks off the plot. It's exactly like one of those Hallmark movies so if you like them you'd like this. My only nitpick is I really wanted someone to go thru the ice, and by making all the character development of the main character internal the author avoided the problem of having this guy mainsplain feelings to her but created the problem where the man and her barely spoke and didn't really develop together in any way on screen. But eh. It's a cheap romance. You'll get over it. No sex in this one either, but it would've felt pretty out of place. There was some great hand lust however.
Also my fiance finished reading me Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis.
As for short stories:
An Upheaval by Anton Chekov: we both liked this. Just a tidy good short story. Delivered on the Chekov thing. Fantastic.
How Beautiful with Shoes by Wilbur Daniel Steele: At first we were leery about this one but after looking into the author a bit we decided it has the same appeal as Riley Sager-esque thrillers do now and decided to call it OK even if it wasn't exactly what we'd call great.
A Haunted House by Virginia Woolf : I really loved this one.
The Catbird Seat by James Thurber: This one was funny, the characters were great, there were some sexism concerns but ultimately we think they were so played up that it still served as humorous enough to make this one rereadable.
Update to this post: tinx-reads-2023
Books I've read since last time:
K.A. Applegate: The Change, The Unknown, The Escape, The Warning, The Underground, The Decision, Megamorphs 2: In the Time of the Dinosaurs, The Andalite Chronicles, The Hork-Bajir Chronicles, The Departure, The Discovery, The Threat, The Solution, The Pretender, The Suspicion, and The Extreme. GOD she does Aliens SO WELL. I care about her Aliens SO MUCH argh. I didn't think I would like the Andalite or Hork-Bajir Chronicles at all but now they're all I can think about ahhhh!!!
Hide by Kiersten White wasn't super good... it felt kinda like the author was trying to rub her own back and the novel wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped.
The Legend of Beacon Swamp by Jacob Peyton had it's moments where it could have been interesting but it was so poorly written that any joy you could still derive from it vanished into the murk.
All Systems Red by Martha Wells was the STAND OUT FAVE from this group of books. All my homies love Murderbot.
Even Though I Knew the End by C.L. Polk wasn't bad and would've been more enjoyable if I'd just read it for what it was but I was thinking about some of the weirdness in the world building the whole time. I think the angels in this universe are evil and also the main character is kinda really bad.
Consequences by Aleatha Romig was pitched to me as erotica. Which it wasn't. Tried to make me think it was romance. Which is wasn't. And then the ending would've been good and interesting if the entire book hadn't been wayyyy too fuckin' long.
A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn was a bookclub book that became a real slog. The main character was smug and mean and I really hated the twist in this book. I thought the author was English but it turned out she was from Texas which really shook me though.
Deadly Kiss by Ariel Marie was the first one in a romance series about lesbian vampire princesses. It was alright, but felt a little confused at times. I think I might take a look at the second one in the series though... it was charming and had some decent erotica.
As for Short Stories...
Kakekomi Uttae by Dazai Osamu was super interesting because I read No Longer Human last year and felt like this piece had SO much of the author's personal voice in the place of Judas.
Graveyard Rats by Henry Kutner which I read cause I'm hunting down the short stories from Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities with a friend. Neither of us thought this was very good, however. We both preferred the netflix adaption.
The Autopsy by Michael Shea was fantastic. I enjoyed this one a bunch. I ended up going through the episode again because of it and I love the changes that were made from the text but for me the text had sooo much more to offer with little details in mannerisms. Plus some of the thoughts about death as a personification just really worked for me. I liked this one a lot.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💖
Aww, thanks mate <3 I'm gonna count 'written' as 'finished' or we'd be here all day hemming and hawing about which ones are my favourite. <3 This narrows it down to 5 of 65 instead of 102, which... i think you'll understand why I needed to do that. Pls. Sanity. I need that. That's something I need to keep having. (Also, no repeat ships/fandoms, just to let my other works shine. Teen wolf has a major bias otherwise, with 40 of my fics being for that show)
Tumblr media
In no particular order;
For When The Sunset Turns To Gold - Chronicles of Narnia (Movies), Gen. Minor crossovers with Torchwood and Harry Potter, but mostly negligible. More about the Pevensies post-film lives (because they DO NOT DIE, BOOKS, THANKS) than anything else.
To note, I am incredibly proud of this fic! I love the feeling it's got. I was very emotional when I wrote it because I'd just watched Prince Caspian and got reminded of the very sticky ends each of these people meet and i was like NOPE OKAY and wrote this to make myself feel better. I'm pretty sure I cried when I was writing it. Actually, I'm tearing up rn. Onto the next one very quickly-
Keeping This. - Teen Wolf, Stiles/Theo, post-series AU. Soulmate AU, too.
Started in my Journey Across the Dimensions fic/let collection, finished here. This one was interesting because of how long it got, lol, for a one-shot. I ended up using it for my Steoday fic, and I'm still really happy with it. I just think this is some solid character work, and some extra-solid character dynamics work. I'm not so good with the building up romance thing, and I think this is one of the times where I did an actually good job with it, instead of just an ok one. Trying to get more comfortable establishing relationships than having them already established, since that's what I prefer to read anyway esp for non-canon fare. Anyway, I'm pleased with this one. As an AU i think it works, and i think it works more for being pretty canon-compliant. It's simple and it's easy and it's actually quite soft, which is rare for me. Especially when it comes to these two fellas. Stiles and Theo as written by me are... rarely soft. So this is a nice reprieve. Especially since I think I did a good job keeping them accurate despite the sweetness. I'm also pretty sure I managed to keep the tense consistent! But don't quote me on that. Same for all of these, actually. (Working on it, working on it...)
A Muggle Cliché (thank you for making me write this, lol) - Harry Potter, Ron/Harry, coffee shop/squib!harry/no voldemort AU! (Also background Dumbledore time travelled AU, but shhhh not important nobody ic knows that. The fic is fluffy and happy and great and the shadowy background history of the AU is not even remotely addressed.) I am halfway through writing a technical-sequel to this fic that's Cho/Ginny, stay tuned! (I know it's taking forever and the request came in before Easter, but to the person who sent in the prompt, I promise i'm literally like, halfway there. Should be done by the end of summer, at max.)
Obviously you know this one, since you made me write it, lol. Thank you for the prompt, again! I think this is my strongest ronarry excluding your other prompt, but I mean, like, non-canon ronarry is hard for me because i'm super attached to their canon selves, so this was a work in characterisation where I could see how an AU like this would change them without them being totally different people who we don't care about because it's like, in name only shit (which I'm never fond of, as a rule). So, yeah! This is one of the most saccharine things I've written. Good lord. Did pay you back for that, though.... sorry.
Somebody to Someone. - Slaughterhouse Rulez, Don/Willoughby, post-movie AU. Thank the entire Slaughterhouse Rulez discord for this one lol like a few years back. Man, how time flies... I was 17 when the film came out.... i'm 21.... gosh... anyway fluffy Christmastime goodness.
Yeah, I mean, I said it there. fluffy christmastime goodness. Don't blame that part on me, though, I had a lot of help writing this one. I'm proud of the parts I wrote and I'm super grateful for the help from the discord, you guys are great! So I guess this is my first fic that's a collaboration (that's actually a fic - we won't talk about the other one...) so, uh, yeah! Awesome! Collabs are fun. Working with other people on a fic can be a great experience. And I'm very happy with the outcome! Slaughterhouse Rulez is one of my favourite movies. If you take anything from me, it's that you should watch it and also join the discord server. It's a fandom of like 15 people. We need mooooorrrrreeeeeeeeeee-
In Another Universe (Maybe We Were Happy.) - Assassin's Creed, Desmond/Clay, 5 aus in which they (eventually, at least) get together romantically, and one in which they don't. Obviously varies wildly between angst and not angst, as is my M.O. To note I am working on that other AC fic (the soulmate au one) but it's taking forever bc i need to replay ac3. Dumb dumb moment here. Literally forgot the plot *facepalm.* Anway, somehow hoping these 44k words are enough to tide over the literal years people have been waiting for me to finish that other fic... ack.
This one is super nostalgic which is weird since it's not even that old, but I'm really fond of it. One of my first long-fics that i actually finished, which is also cool. Each chapter is it's own AU, so really I'm not sure if this is a fic per se or more a fic anthology, but either way, I'd never done the 5 + 1 format before and I thought it'd be cool. It was a good way for me to work through my characterisation of these guys, who I'd not written before, and my thoughts on the AC universe, which I'd also not written before. I think it's some solid writing and it's got one of my best AUs and romances, in chapter 2, with the coffee shop assassins AU where the Templars are Starbucks. Yeah, I know, I think something about coffee must trigger my romantic sensibilities which are usually stuck somewhere else in hibernation. Or fear. Or something. I'm bad at romance, anyway. The last chapter is some good Angst and I think some of my best angst, so there's that. It's a mite bit confusing if you don't know AC, though, but then that's the case for most fanfics of media. (I've read fanfics of media I've never consumed, though, that made perfect sense to me, so...) Anyway. Uh, yeah. Love this one. Very fond of it. Love my boys <3 Claysmond probably in the top ten for my otps. May even be top five, depending on the day. (Today? Yes.) Desmond and Clay are definitely in my top ten characters, anyway. I could not tell you where they sit, though.
Cheating to add Ginny Weasley, Veteran of War, Time Traveller, Defeater of Dark Lords, and Dark, but Good., which is a series and not a fic, and I don't think the components work as well on their lonesome. Technically hinny but for the first two fics he's dead. (actually, he's still dead in the last fic, it's just that ginny is as well. Not a spoiler.) Basically, well, read the series title: she time travels, she kills voldy, she's a bit fucked up and she's done some fucked up shit but she's still Ginny Weasley, and she's a good person at heart. Anyway, love these fics. Might've cried a little when writing. Might not. Can't prove shit you weren't there! (I did. I definitely did.) Anyway. Mostly Gen with Minor/Background Relationships. Contains Fantastic Beasts canon up to the second movie and kinda including, but veers very AU, and written before the third (which I wouldn't have acknowledged anyway, since i'm not planning on ever viewing it with mine eyes). Uh, yeah. (Premise of this fic series could actually lead to other fics/aus stemming from it..... given how Ginny gets back in the past in the first place. Sooooo that's fun!)

More (juicy ;) asks: *If you don't want to answer these please don't feel obligated too. I just think thes go along with what we've been talking about and I'm a curios/nosy person haha. Again don't feel like you have to answer :) OK asks # 28 (even though I don't even have the best idea of what the hell that really means) 29, 30.
Of course I’m gonna answer! I love talking about stuff, so this is great. I also am so invested in our conversations that I no longer feel tired or have a headache. Haha.
28. Talk about your fetishes: I honestly have no idea if I have any. I hate feet, so that’s a huge hell no there. I don't like dirty talk because it’s awkward... I’ve thought about watching sex happen in the mirror (sometimes just visualize me viewing us helps me out). I am very into arms for some reason. And arm hair (I freaking love my arm hair... not that I’m attracted to my own arm hair). Those are just a few that I can find right now. I’m sure there are more. They’re fairly innocent, aren’t they? Haha.
29. Talk about what turns you on: It’s actually hilarious. I’m pretty sure it was after I watched Prince Caspian with my husband and I was just a loose canon afterward. All I wanted was to have sex with my hubby. I can confidently say it happened. And I can bet Caspian shouting “Hey!” at Peter started it. Just thinking about it... geez. I am also super into getting back rubs/back scratches. I especially am doomed when the hubby starts rubbing my legs or my butt. Yeah. I like the rubs and scratches. Haha.
30. Talk about what turns you off: Smells first and foremost. My nose is sensitive to everything. I can smell when towels are starting to go bad. I was able to smell problems in the house we lived in before. Bad breath kills me. I want nothing to do with kissing or being close if there’s bad breath. Honestly, kissing is kinda a turn off. I can’t focus on enjoying the sex when I’m kissing. I need full concentration! Haha. Smoking is another huge turn off because it’s bad and stinks.
I also realized that I have a friend on here who knows me and my husband well and is getting a very in-depth look into our lives. Sorry, friend, if you’re reading any of these. 😂
