obsessed w cas driving today. apparently.
when cas drives, he tries so hard to encourage dean to sleep on the way.
///
cas: “it’s dark, Dean. you don’t need to be awake. i assure you that i am perfectly capable of driving.”
dean: “mm.”
(pause)
cas: “oh. the impala doesn’t have this, but my seat leans back. there’s a lever. over there. on the side. dean.”
dean: (snorts) “i know how to—“
cas: “not the buttons, dean. that’s up and down. the lever.”
dean: “i’m trying, dammit! it’s stuck.”
cas: “oh. jack did spill last time. maybe…?”
dean: “what was he drinking, a cement smoothie?”
at the next red light, cas puts the dodge in park, unclicks his seatbelt, and leans all the way over. he presses against him as he reaches with his left hand. dean is so surprised, he forgets to breathe.
cas’s hand warmly encircles dean’s, where’s he’s fruitlessly straining against the stubborn lever, and then, cas gives them a good, solid yank.
click.
dean’s bracing too hard against everything, so the consequence is that his seat friggin’ flies backwards. whooooa, his stomach rolls, roller coaster-like, and he tastes a gross, two-hour old sonic shake in his spit.
then, dean finds himself gaping up at cas’s perplexed face. dean’s other hand had flung up and instinctually grabbed hold of his shirt collar for support, so the result is cas is kinda awkwardly hunched over him and his newly reclined seat.
and they’re close. chest to chest. cas’s hand and his are still clamped around the lever.
“uh,” dean wets his lips, embarrassed. “heh-heh. that helped, huh.”
cas blinks. “huh?”
Hoooooooooooooooonk.
holy shit, dean’s whole body seizes up and he hangs onto cas even tighter—Jesus Christ, someone must be fuckin’ layin’ down on their car horn.
A black SUV whooshes past them, speeding through the (now-green) light and wagging all kinds of rude finger gestures as they go.
dean scowls. asshole drivers.
cas clears his throat, murmurs something dean doesn’t quite get, and then the weight of his chest lets up. it’s less of a relief than it should be. as he lifts, dean’s body goes up with him a little ways, until he remembers to let go.
dean unleashes the breath he hadn’t noticed he’d been holding. his heart’s hammering, and if he’s honest, it’s not all down to the adrenaline of road rage.
how the hell is he gonna sleep now?
/
the light’s already red again, so they have wait some more. dean turns over on his side and stares, trying to get a read on him.
cas looks stoic. almost too stoic. cas clicks the radio on low, and something blues-ey fills the truck cabin.
“will the radio interfere with your efforts to sleep?”
the question feels startlingly loud for some reason.
“uh…nah. i’m good.”
the reclined passenger seat really ain’t too bad, except that it’s a little hard on the neck. dean’s hopped in the dodge for several long trips now, and he’s gotta admit it’s a solid ride.
after missing the first green, it’s apparently the longest red light ever now, and cas leans forward to shrug off his coat.
what the-?
heart in his throat, dean zeroes in on how the fabric pulls across his shoulders. meanwhile, cas balls up his coat, and before dean can argue, he’s shoving it under dean’s head, like a makeshift pillow.
immediately, it eases the tension in his neck.
he feels weirdly bashful about it. can’t quite meet cas’s eyes. “th-thanks.”
the fabric is warm against his face as cas takes it outta park and powers through the light. they hit a longer stretch of road and the ride falls into the lull of a good rhythm. between the comforting sight of cas’s profile, the croon of B.B. king, and the earthy scent of the coat, he starts to go.
dean loses out to a gaping yawn, and the corner of cas’s mouth twitches—his version of a megawatt smile.
“comfortable?”
he is.
dean hmms in reply: “comfy enough.”
cas cuts his eyes sideways and smiles more openly. dean just feels lazy and warm now, like it’s a lazy sunday morning and he’s swathed in bedsheets, rather than packed into a moving vehicle on a twilit 4 a.m. all-nighter for a case.
dean’s maybe a little delirious when he says, “we should get heated seats.”
“heated seats?”
“yeah.” for the longer trips.
then dean’s out.

56 Fact About Dodge Vehicles
Dodge vehicles have a long and rich history, being at the forefront of the American car industry since day one. With over a century of back history, volumes could be and have been written on the company. So, as a way to condense the most salient points, here is a list of 56 facts about Dodge vehicles as an overview of one of the last makers of muscle cars.
Founding by the Dodge Brothers: Dodge was founded in 1900 by John and Horace Dodge, initially as a supplier of parts to the Detroit automakers, including Ford.
Early Success with Ford: Before making their own cars, Dodge was one of the largest suppliers to Henry Ford, providing engines and other components for the Model T.
The first Dodge vehicle cost $785: The original 1914 Dodge Model 30 sold for just $785, which was competitive with Ford’s Model T.
First Car in 1914: The first car produced by Dodge was the “Dodge Model 30,” which offered innovations like all-steel body construction—a rarity in its time.
Rapid Growth: By 1916, Dodge was already the second-largest automobile manufacturer in the U.S., just behind Ford.
Military Roots: Dodge vehicles were used extensively in WWI, producing ambulances and other military vehicles. This helped the brand build a reputation for toughness.
Dodge Brothers’ Death: Both Dodge brothers died unexpectedly in 1920, within months of each other, from influenza and complications from pneumonia.
Acquisition by Chrysler: In 1928, Dodge was sold to Chrysler Corporation for $170 million, one of the largest deals in the auto industry at the time.
First Mass-Produced Pickup: Dodge introduced the first mass-produced light-duty pickup truck in 1929, called the Dodge Brothers “Merchants Express.”
Pre-War Innovations: Dodge introduced innovations like hydraulic brakes and “floating power” engine mounts in the 1930s, which were advanced for their time.
First Mass-Produced Car with All-Steel Body: The Dodge Brothers were pioneers in producing the first mass-produced car with an all-steel body, making their vehicles stronger and safer.
Dodge’s Logo Evolution: The Dodge logo has evolved many times, from a simple star inside a circle to the ram’s head, and more recently, to the “Dodge” name with racing stripes.
First to Offer Neon Colors: In the early 1970s, Dodge was one of the first carmakers to offer vibrant, neon paint colors like Plum Crazy and Sublime on their muscle cars, which became fan favorites.
Fate of the Dodge Neon: Despite being a small, budget-friendly car, the Dodge Neon developed a cult following, especially among tuners in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Viper’s Record: In 2017, the Dodge Viper held the production car Nürburgring lap record. The Dodge Viper, introduced in 1992, was initially developed as a concept car inspired by the Shelby Cobra. Its performance and aggressive design made it a hit.

Hellcat Durango OVERPOWERED COPS!! #trx #ram #srt #srt8 #trackhawk #dodg...
He's doing this all the time and he says no matter what and they arrested him today and he was in jail for 10 minutes and his people suffered it's going to keep happening until he doesn't have people all over the world too they're doing the storm and his and he's ridiculous person but today they fired a lot of them and they think they can just walk back in there on Monday and they're taking their stuff out and they're going around and finding their people and taking them out and they're arresting them based on what they found and they're firing more people but Monday there won't be any of them in the government we think and they're getting to work on it too. This is what counts in a battle and it's starting to learn it
Thor Freya
Olympus
We do thank you for your efforts our friend there and really hang in there with these people will be out of there soon enough they're big huge jerks and pigs and they know the math they don't seem to want to go somewhere else it's really weird it's too weird and they don't have anything to say about it and they don't know anything so we have to pull them off
Mac daddy
It's really detachable it just sitting there threatening the s*** out of him and find out why he's ornery and angry a lot it's because of these two idiots and we see through it now and we can hear all your people saying it you say it about us you're saying about him and you're stupid and I'm going to keep going until you shut your mouth
Daniel
We're going to do it too and thank heavens that's finally is happening I took a long time
Thor Freya
He's in under this for about 25 years and it started in snow too and when he was a child now we want them out and we're going to force them out this particular group is leaving overseas and here shortly meaning they're very small overseas actually totally off Island they're about 7.5% the Trump's just make up about 3% of it and overseas 1% out of that 3%, and the island is cordoned off and being bombarded they were at 4.5% last week now they're at 3.5%, that's a huge number of loss and now it's going to increase and 1% is nothing to write home well and 2% is not either at the rate they're going all of the warlock are 0.04% an hour so in 2 hours it's almost a 10th of a percent and that means in a day it's probably a percentage with only 7.5%, it'll be about 8 days and he was right it's very high but you're losing more or less 2% a day including that and it could go upwards but that's about 4 days from today so I'm not sure what you're going to do but then you've got to get off the island and tonight we see your attack you have several plans and invasion if it goes off here you'll probably lose 1% in that that's a humongous Force a gigantic number of ships and that's one big reason it's like 0.5% of the entire crowd and the land forces humongous and really they can't sit around anymore than gigantic and yeah they've been sitting in Georgia and Alabama yet attitude is terrible and you dressed up and stuff and how wonderful it's terrible what you look like is primates. And if you lose that for us it's 1% and 2% by tomorrow but really you have about 1.5% committed for tonight and that would bring you down to about 6% and really that's not very big people can sense it too there's some other things happening that might increase that you're going down there and if you see any progress you're going to start moving out and you might even pull people off of the pseudo empire because the riches are much richer so we're going to watch you die and we're not going to care more a lok
Nuada Arrianna
The little teeny girl has a pretty high mutant factor in it because of her race she's partly mixed and she is a granddaughter of a giant she goes to hoth and it is not built or will and it is Bob birdies and she is not the Queen amidala but she goes with a pack a little bit she goes up there and becomes the monster and is trying to survive out there ultimately she dies in the cave and that's what she's going because of what she's saying and threatening my husband
Hera
As you can see Giants are very mesmerizing powerful and they are creative even ours and you guys don't understand what you're dealing with this stuff is very potent and putrid and way too hot for even the max I don't believe that they're doing it but they here they are from their mouths and their nuts
Mac daddy
We got to get out of here it's way too much for us we're sending tons down right now
Trump
They are sending a lot down but who can rely on what they're saying. We know how many and how many they might right now they're at 1% that they are sending down that's a lot they might go up to 2% tonight 0.5% is allotted to the pseudo empire to keep them busy 8% 2.5%, which is 5.5% with only 1% overseas after that is terrible and that's with Trump and over here would be less than 2% and they'll be gobbled up by a whole bunch of groups as they already are the zero point 0 4% and if you include that it's abysmal it goes down to 4.5%, and Trump would be under 1% about half of one overseas and here be about 1.5% cuz he's losing most of them at that point he is going to start to go up like a Roman candle
Nuada Arrianna
We're doing well in the project thank you Zeus and Hera we have several things for you that are on the way and we are developing it and we're going to make it happen we are getting assistance as needed and I see her sons and daughters are coming to us and in-laws and we will assign them things yes and it is a great deal of stuff do we have tons of it no what is a lot of things you need and your stereo it's a good perception to remember that kind of thing that they sometimes check it into near the destination or where it's going to end up to verify yes it is coming here and this is a destination this is the person and they match it up with electronics these days all electronics for the most part and Port of entry would be New York Philadelphia would be south of it they might drive it out because the airport is jammed and it makes a lot of sense it's just way behind and it sat there in China there's a lot of fighting that's why and he says that's good and we are ready for phase 2 no we're going to game busters we need a lot of things so we're going to do that and your son and daughter in law are heading over and they're going to bring the others in and get everything we need they say it too and that your country and they're standing by and they're going to converse with Thor and Freya an Olympus but really I do expect it and he wanted to know what other things are going on delay Hang-Ups things in the way and we do have a few we're going to let them know if we can't do it we will give you to a shop we do appreciate it and thank you very much for checking in it says I'm trying I'm swamped with really a lot of angry dumb people and they're so simple you can't tell them it's not my responsibility you don't have me doing anything positive now making yourselves the enemy and he's saying stuff is just really not helping you and we do see that too and they just do not understand it and it's way over their head they're getting crushed in push around with everybody so it's time now for Force protection and we call it to protect you from them
Uriel and Goddess wife we will fix the verbiage
Olympus the other side Hera's are also here in their stating they are with us and we'll help out and the project is going well
That made some progress they have huge things in place and we need a lot of stuff and we're getting the list now and I'm getting it and we're sending it out and you guys trying to fill it right away and if we see it too you're just going to start making more and getting more people doing it good
Thor Freya
Almost at 100% hired they said higher them all send it and send them something in the mail or an email and say get your took us in here and we got that too we do have some time to say this but why not use the mail and email and calling their friends and having people call their friends and having our troops do it I'm going to do that right now and tell him we're at 95%, okay you read us 95% come on let's get it up there and over the top and be examples for the universe we do know the project is going well we need a lot of stuff we had a list and we're working on it you see the major lists going out and we're going to fill in slots right now and we're moving it out and it's honors and it is duty and it's forever and we want to be known as the people who lead and can do the job
Frank Castle hardcastle
We don't so tough time in there but we see what's coming and we know what it is in addition to the stereo you have things that are owed to you by people all over the place here they are not really getting it to you it is Asia people like Sandy Wong and your friends Papa's clan and say I don't think he's lost I think you guys are a little bit off and what's going on and you fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee you can probably jump very high on like me and you can reset thing up there and it's probably up there above me and they say we know about it and that's what we're doing so thank you all for your help

Careful what you wish for snippet
Sometime after John gets back from toiletries-shopping with Mary, he and Dean end up in the bunker garage, surrounded by decades of classic vehicles.
John’s looking for a ride—at least until he gets settled. And Dean’s half-afraid he'll want Baby back. She’s sitting right up front: impeccably clean, perfectly lit, like she knows she’s the crown jewel.
John walks a slow circle around her, fingers ghosting along the glass like he’s checking for something only he would notice.
“Nah, nah," he’s saying. “If I gave her to you, then… I’m not gonna take her back. Wouldn’t feel right.”
Dean shifts his weight, shoves his hands into his jacket, and grits out, almost against his will: “Yeah, well. Wouldn’t blame you if you did.”
“That so? Huh. Well. She looks good.” John whistles, still circling. “Better than she ever did under me. You done good.”
Dean swallows. “Thanks.”
A beat.
“So, dad,” he says—too loud, too casual— “you’ve got options here. There’s an old Thunderbird, even a Ford Model B tucked way in the back. Couple motorcycles too, though I doubt Mom’d be thrilled about you hopping on one.”
John huffs a quiet laugh, weaving in and out between the cars, his eyes appraising the chrome and polished headlights. “My dad had a motorcycle. Used to tell myself he died on it somewhere. I liked that version better than him just… leaving.”
He pauses, then adds, quieter, “Guess I know the truth now, though. Don’t I.”
Dean blinks. That’s... more than John’s said about Henry in Dean’s entire life. He fumbles, then lands on, “Oh. Yeah.”
With a scuff of his boot, John stops short, his entire posture snapping to attention, eyes lit with a hunger Dean’s only ever seen when they're zeroing in on a hunt.
“That one, Dean.”
Dean follows John's gaze. In the corner, tucked into a poorly lit, hard-to-park space, sits the big silver truck Cas picked up a couple of months back. It’s hard to ignore once you see it, even though it’s not exactly calling attention to itself.
Dean opens his mouth. “Oh, that’s—”
“I know what it is,” John says, already striding toward it like it’s a done deal. “Dodge Ram. SRT-10. Can you believe I was thinking about getting one of these? Not in that color, but yeah. It’s not dropping till next year. God… thing’s a monster. V10 engine, 500 horsepower, 525 lb-ft of torque. Hell, that’s the same engine from the Viper. That’s the kind of power every man dreams about.”
His hand's already on the damn door handle.
Dean steps in fast.
“No.”
John blinks, then grins, eyebrows up. “I’d pay you for it.” Dean snorts. With what money? he thinks.
“It’s not about that,” he says, glancing toward the hallway, half-hoping Cas will emerge from the shadows like some sort of divine intervention-slash-bouncer. “It’s just… it’s not mine to sell.”
John squints at him, seeming amused. “Okay, fair enough. So who do I talk to about doing a trade?” He grins, throwing a thumb toward the truck. “I know. It’s Sam’s, right? Guess he finally grew out of those little blue cars.”
“It’s actually... Cas’s truck. He, uh, just got in. While you and mom were out.”
John pauses, and Dean can’t makes head or tails of the look on his face. “Oh. Yeah. The angel. I guess it’s about time we got introduced.”
Dean winces. He’d been hoping to sidestep this—maybe send Jack and Cas to a hotel somewhere, just to prolong the inevitable. “Sure. Yeah. They’re inside.”
John gives the truck one last once-over, then turns like he’s done—only to pause, glance back, and prop his chin in his hand, looking casual as anything.
“So… how much d’you think he’d take for it?”
#lebanon fic ao3#careful what you wish for ao3#john lives!#is this car meta if you squint?#cas's truck#this is y'all's fault#getting me on a lebanon kick#shaking my fist at you#passive-aggressive john#JOHN YOU ARE NOT BUYING THAT TRUCK FROM CAS AND DON'T YOU PRESSURE HIM ABOUT IT

Ram SRT-10 Dodge's SRT team was making piles of cash with the Viper by the 2000s, and they were wondering what other vehicles from the Mopar fleet they could shove the big V10 lump into. Even though cramming it into the Ram pickup of the time was totally insane, they went ahead and did it anyway.

Ram SRT-10 The end result was a 500 hp V10-powered pickup truck with a manual transmission (in the single cab models), a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 154 mph (for the regular cab). In other words, this is a pickup truck that's almost as fast as a Porsche Cayman, but with almost as much practicality as any run-of-the-mill pickup.
