The next update in my quest to collect every published Disney’s Atlantis story!

I have managed to acquire the three issues of Piú Disney (21, 22 and 23) that were based around the movie.

Now I need to translate the contents.

Also, today arrived the Summer 2001 Collector’s Issue of Disney Adventures!

And the comics section includes four strips based on the film; Audrey Lets Off Some Steam!, Moliere Digs Dirt!, Vinny Has a Blast!, and Sweet’s Fish Story!

That does mean my purchase of Disney’s Comic issue 1 was redundant but I’ll still try to make use of what I can.

I now have at least the following comic stories to track down:

Milo’s Strength published in Disney’s Comic #3 (23/06/2002)

Translate It, Milo published in Disney’s Comic #5 (28/08/2002)

Scaredy-Cat Mole published in Disney’s Comic #6 (25/09/2002)

Perigo na Caverna published in Recreio #291 (06/10/2005)

and probably lots more I don’t know about yet.

In the meantime I need to move onto the books.

Nobody is theorizing enough about the Dreamlight Valley Rift in Time spring update So here’s my theory:

-Ancient’s Landing is full of blue glowing rock technology

-There’s an ancient power under the island

-Atlantean text has been all over this game from the start

-There’s a big door partially underwater and it looks like we’re probably going in there next

Conclusion: Princess Kidagakash is down there

I know that realistically you can only fit so many movies into a list of approximately 100, but I cannot take that "How many of tumblr's favorite movies have you seen?" list that's been going around seriously because there are some truly egregious omissions.

Some of it is very clearly recency bias, which makes me wonder if the op truly wasn't on here in 2013 or so, but you're telling me you made a list of "tumblr's favorite movies" that doesn't include Pacific Rim or Mad Max: Fury Road? Because, like, I was there, Gandalf.

I am continuing my quest (previously announced here) to track down all the Atlantis: The Lost Empire stories that were published.

Initially I had purchased the trilogy of Più Disney issues focusing on the film with mostly original content and also republishing the Dark Horse adaptation.

But then I checked on INDUCKS and found a couple of smaller strips listed. They mostly were said to be printed in a UK series called Disney’s Comic published by BBC Magazines.

Every issue that was actually indexed listed an Atlantis strip. They also had two stories included in Disney Explora.

But those strips had similar titles to the Disney’s Comic stories and I started to wonder if they were originally all published in one series but the incomplete indexing had simply not revealed it.

Then I found one actual issue of Disney’s Comic for sale that listed Molliere Digs Dirt! as an included story.

Now that story has been indexed on INDUCKS (as of 30/05/2023) but as included in Disney Adventures Collector’s Edition Atlantis: The Lost Empire!

And looking at this one I’m suspecting many of the strips actually originated here!

So I’ve purchased a copy and we’ll see what’s up when it arrives!

If anyone knows any more stories not listed on INDUCKS please let me know!
