I was wondering recently if there was Any way to salvage the hair on my 2015 Disney Store Anna Doll. It's SUPER Stiff and Dry (but soft). I've tried boil washing and conditioner a long time ago but nothing changed (I forget what conditioner it was this was 6 years ago).

🎥Disney 100 Month, Week 1: Favorite Movie (part 3)🎥

❄️Much to my surprise, I ended up loving “Frozen II” as much as the first one! The plot is amazing, the songs are incredible, and I identified with Elsa even more than in the first film. ‘Show Yourself’ literally changed my outlook on life, and that is not an exaggeration.❄️

🍂I have most of the Disney Store dolls from both films, but the ones from ‘Some Things Never Change’ are a couple of my favorites.🍂

Disney Frozen socks. I bought the socks today. I found them when I was walking at the store.

Disney Frozen 2 storybook. The book title is 'Terug naar huis' (Dutch) translates to 'Back to home'. This one I bought also last Friday.

I'm so happy with the stuff I bought! 🤗💙 Now I'm saving for the Frozen 2 dolls 💙.

New Frozen mobile game | News

And here's another set of new content today! The future of Frozen is expandinggg! I just posted a post with the new doll leak for Frozen: Winter Festival, a possible new short. And now we have a new mobile game available on the App store but set for release soon (no date is shown for when).

The new game is called Disney Frozen Royal Castle. The brief description reads as, "Elsa & Anna interactive doll house dress up kids game for boys and girls". And here are the images released:

This game seems really fun where you can play around in the castle and choose what the characters wear including some of the outfits seen in the movies and new ones most likely made just for the game. You can click register in order for the game to automatically download on your phone as soon as it's available to play.

Some may not be as excited for this as the possible new Winter Festival shirt but I thought I'd still share this for those who are excited either way for this game.

yay 💗 ok so my favourite doll that i own is daria from rainbow high and she’s sooooo pretty and i love her clothes, i also love fidgeting with her ringlets bc the gel actually feels nice on my fingers and i like to scrunch it lmao (it’s very comforting), my second favourite doll is probably my first doll that i got as an adult, she’s a hasbro elsa doll i found at a thrift store for $2 and she could definitely use a boil wash but i love her face (it’s one of the more movie accurate ones imo) and she still had her dress and shoes when i found her, i actually keep her in my purse as my on-the-go comfort doll which may sound weird to people who aren’t doll collectors with ocd that gives them anxiety via intrusive thoughts but i digress. since i mentioned an elsa doll i’ll mention favourite anna dolls too, i’m gonna have to go with either my disney on ice anna (she looks drunk off her ass and has double jointed elbows as well as the most movie accurate cape of any of my anna dolls lmao) or one of the disney store frozen 1 anna dolls i have :)

The more likely scenario is that she doesn't becone a princess and Encanto becomes its own franchise. Encanto's success is similar to that of Frozen. Elsa and Anna are not part of the Disney princess lineup because they would overshadow the other peincesses and I think that we will see a similar thing with Encanto. Mirabel is already being released as a regular Disney Store doll, along with the ither princesses, Elsa and Anna, and a few others. The success of Encanto was definitely not anticipated, but the CEO even referring to it as a franchise alone is evidence that it will be it's own thing.

Give us thoughts about Anastasia! Her movie is so interesting to me, since it's both a romcom and semi-Disney film without being Disney.

I think her movie is incredible! Anastasia is a character I love, and I wrote her at a time, but I think the movie is ultimately in my mid-tier. This is through no fault of its own though! I just really dislike Rasputin (and not in a love to hate way or hating him in a way you should hate a villain, I just genuinely can't stomach watching him) and I don't fully connect with Anastasia, because she isn't a very feminine character. I also didn't really fall in love with Dimitri as a lead, he always felt like a neighborhood boy to me lol but, again, the movie does everything incredibly well so it's more so that it just isn't my vibe as opposed to something being wrong with it?

But I think Anastasia has an INCREDIBLE wardrobe- on tier with Tiana, probably even better! I think she has an intriguing voice that I really like, might be one of my favorites, and she's so funny and endearing to me. I wish the film had more women- I know the grandmother is in it, but I always felt like Anastasia gave off "one of the guys" vibes, and most of the screentime is her with Vlad and Dimitri or Rasputin, so looking back on it, that could've been another detractor for me...but I really love the soundtrack and Pooka is so cute! I had a doll of her peasant look with the locket and Pooka as a child and I remember being sad about it because my favorite look of hers was the Once Upon a December dress with the ponytail! This was before eBay though, and well after they started selling the doll in stores, so I just made my peace with having the look I liked least lol that being said, I actually do like that look now and the ponytail that magically transforms into like four times its length when it's taken down haha like most people, it definitely lead me down a historical rabbit-hole as a child (I'm still convinced Anastasia survived even though other people swear up and down she didn't, but that's another story) but the more and more I learned about the Romanovs and their tragic tale, it was more eerie and off-putting and genuinely terrifying than intriguing? And I'm used to more haunting historical tales- like I always loved learning about Anne Boleyn, but there was just something about learning about the Romanovs that always made me slightly uncomfortable and I think that carries through to the movie and any of the research I've done on Anna Anderson (don't even get me started on the later years of her life omg) so, again, totally charming movie with a totally charming premise and characters and I'd give it a grade of an A+ but sometimes some things are just not meant for you and I feel that way about this movie? I love it any time I get to watch it but I never actively think about it and it doesn't cross my mind very often.

thus far my favorite Anna doll has been (rightfully) the disney store hair play Anna bc Im obsessed with her long hair. I have I think 6 of them now, like literally I love her so much. that being said tho. the Brittney Lee Anna has really stolen my heart, I really liked her from the get go just bc she's such a freak but now that I have multiples I feel like I can relax and play with at least one and she's soooooo lovely I love her so much Im going to put my most expensive Anna in $6 barbie fashions and feel SO good about it actually

1. Play

Machinal at the Old Vic, London

Machinal, by playwright Sophie Treadwell, takes inspiration from a case that happened in 1920s America, of a young woman called Ruth Snyder who murdered her husband, and her very public court case and execution. This is one of the best productions I’ve seen in a while: it’s taut and clear and uncomfortable. I felt it on a visceral level rather than as an intellectual experience. Even though the play is very unsentimental, in a brilliant way, I felt so much watching it, largely due to Rosie Sheehy’s central performance was electric – like an exposed cable. I could not take my eyes off her.

2. Cookbook

Japan: The Cookbook by Nancy Singleton Hachisu (Phaidon)

This book was a gift from my boyfriend. It’s written by an American who has lived in Japan since the 1980s and is married to a Japanese man, and she’s very much entrenched in the culture. Rather than a definitive expert on Japanese cooking, she presents herself as a conduit – she spent years getting to know not just chefs and experts, but grandmothers from different regions of Japan. I am quite intimidated by this book, but I’ve got my eye on the miso, aubergine and peppers recipe, and at some point I will attempt the udon noodles.

3. TV

Shōgun, Disney+

I haven’t been as invested in a TV show since Succession. The performances are incredible: the leads Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai, but also Moeka Hoshi and Tadanobu Asano. It’s historical fiction, which takes this character of John Blackthorne, an English sailor who is lost and shipwrecked in Japan and somehow ends up being part of all the political machinations that are going on. I want more TV like this, where I’m watching something through a different cultural lens to mine.

4. News

Q&A series by Isaac Chotiner for the New Yorker

This series on Gaza has been illuminating. It’s very sobering and depressing reading, but also necessary and important. Isaac Chotiner is a very skilled interviewer, going deep behind the headlines to really understand the specific problems and challenges. The last one I read was about unexploded ordnance and mines – there are now more in Gaza than anywhere in the world since at least the second world war.

5. Food

Oi Spaghetti + Tiramisù, London SE15

This was an accidental find. I was walking through Copeland Park in Peckham when I saw this tiny little shed: it’s a charming restaurant run by Francesco, who is also the waiter and chef. It’s clearly a labour of love for him: it’s only open for a few hours in the evening, Mondays to Fridays. There are three starters, and only spaghetti as the main – I went for the mushroom, cream and truffle, and it was one of the best plates of spaghetti I’ve ever had. Then dessert is tiramisu. It’s one of my favourite hidden gems I’ve discovered in London.

6. Shopping

Kastur Jewels, London W1

I walked past a store in Marylebone and saw this ring that looked a lot like something I inherited from my grandmother when she passed. I don’t own a lot of jewellery, but the few pieces I have, I like to feel I will keep them for ever. Kastur’s jewellery is inspired by heirloom pieces, and there’s a real range of prices – more high-end pieces but also a lot that are much more affordable. The two I bought are enamel: handpainted stud square earrings, and small golden pearl hoops. They feel like pieces you wish you’d inherited.

7. Art

Expressionists: Kandinsky, Münter and the Blue Rider, Tate Modern

I really loved this exhibition. There’s something about the colours: I read a review that said they’re colours you want to lick, and I agree – they’re very vivid blues and greens and purples. For me, art can sometimes feel like a time capsule, but the art in this exhibition felt very alive, especially the portraits. Kandinsky is someone whose work I’ve seen online but never up close. I loved his Riding Couple, and some of the Robert Delaunay pieces. And what’s lovely is that it’s not just paintings – there’s sculpture, photography and music. It was beautiful.

My Precure Head I got for my Miku came in early!

And she is really cute!

So I tried her head on Two back up bodies incase the barbie body didn't work (witch I know wouldn't thanks to @mega-byte 's post) The Two Bodies in question are that one really tall AliExpress Body that comes with all the extra hands, and a Liv Doll Body.

For the Ali Express Body the Head fits on perfectly (I don't need to put tape on the peg/knob like with the Disney Store Anna Head I usually have on there), and the Skin tone is also a near perfect match. However Proportionally it doesn't work for me. The Neck is a little too long and her arms and legs especially are a little too long, and she's taller than a barbie but that's always bugged me about this body

Now The Liv Doll body ended up working out better than I expected. The skin tones don't match so i'd have to get a new liv body but the fit and proportions are PERFECT. She's not as articulated as i'd wanted her to be (mainly the arms) but she has more than enough articulation to make he happy. I think i'm gonna be using a Liv Doll Body for my Miku.

Disney ily 4ever outfits fit Naturalistas! All of the shoes pretty much fit their feet (the boots gap at the top due to the Nautralistas having arched feet, but they work good enough for me), the pants fit (even with the doll sitting), the jackets and shirts fit (the fingers will catch on Rapunzel’s sweater top and Pocahontas’ jacket cuffs, but you can maneuver it down and over their hands with patience), they have earring holes in their head that fit the earrings in the Tiana and Cinderella pack. The hats are a bit big, but with the Naturalistas’ bigger, beautiful hair, they are not a bad fit. :)
