Agatha All Along Episode 7: Easter Eggs & References
Tumblr media
Death’s Hand in Mine
Lilia Calderu’s Epic Leap into Her Destiny
In Agatha All Along Episode 7, “Death’s Hand in Mine,” that haunting line from Ballad of the Witches’ Road hits hard, especially for Lilia Calderu. This isn’t just another dramatic beat—it’s the heart of her story. Lilia knows exactly what’s coming, and instead of running from it, she steps right up and grabs it by the hand. She’s not just staring down death; she’s embracing it, ready to take her destiny head-on.
What’s truly wild is that her sacrifice isn’t just about going out in a blaze of glory; it’s a calculated move. Lilia realizes this is the only way to save her coven, and she’s all in. Her death isn’t born from fear but from a fierce determination to protect those she loves. As she plunges into the unknown, she flips what could’ve been a tragic ending into an epic act of heroism.

Witchcraft and Wardrobes
Channeling the Magic of Iconic Witches—Wicked, Glamorous, and Sinister
In Agatha All Along Episode 7, we dive headfirst into a magical realm where our favorite characters channel iconic witches from fantasy lore. This isn’t just a costume party; it’s a masterclass in storytelling that enriches our understanding of who they are and what they represent. Each outfit and persona acts like a mirror, reflecting deep themes of power, identity, and legacy in the world of witchcraft.
Agatha Harkness as the Wicked Witch of the West: When Agatha transforms into the Wicked Witch, she’s not just throwing on some green makeup and a black dress. No, this is a bold statement. The Wicked Witch is the epitome of cunning and darkness, and Agatha steps right into those shoes (or should we say, flying broomsticks). This parallel isn’t merely superficial; it invites us to question the nature of villainy. In The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch is all about control, much like Agatha, who deftly manipulates events to carve out her narrative. By embodying this classic character, Agatha challenges our assumptions about good and evil, pushing us to explore the grey areas in between.
Billy Maximoff as Maleficent: Then we have Billy, rocking a look straight out of Maleficent’s wardrobe. This isn’t just a nod to the Disney villain; it highlights the complexity of Billy’s character. Maleficent is often portrayed as a symbol of empowerment, reclaiming her narrative after being wronged—sound familiar? Billy’s journey of self-discovery and grappling with his powers parallels this. By dressing as Maleficent, Billy taps into the darker aspects of his own identity, showing us that with great power comes not just the potential for heroism, but also the risk of losing oneself in the shadows of legacy.
Lilia Calderu as Glinda the Good Witch of the South: Lilia, on the other hand, embodies Glinda, the Good Witch. Draped in an ethereal gown, she radiates hope and support within the witch community. Glinda is a guiding light, offering wisdom and nurturing strength, and Lilia steps into this role with grace. This costume choice isn’t just about aesthetics; it reinforces the importance of sisterhood and collaboration among witches. In a world where Agatha often manipulates, Lilia’s character reminds us that power can also uplift and unite. She’s the bright spot amid the chaos, hinting at her potential to mediate the conflicts brewing around her.
Jennifer Kale as Snow White’s Hag: Last but not least, we have Jennifer, transforming into the menacing hag from Snow White. This choice is both haunting and poignant, capturing Jennifer’s tumultuous journey. The hag symbolizes the darker aspects of femininity, manipulation, and survival—elements that resonate deeply with Jennifer’s backstory as an 11th-generation root worker. By adopting this persona, Jennifer confronts her past traumas and societal perceptions of witches as malevolent. This metamorphosis is a declaration of resilience and reclamation, showcasing her evolution from victim to a powerful force in the magical realm.
Spellbinding Themes and Character Dynamics
This episode isn’t just about costumes; it’s a narrative device that lays bare the characters’ motivations and the overarching themes of the series.
Identity and Empowerment: The costumes serve as a canvas for each character’s struggle for self-definition in a world that loves to pigeonhole witches. Agatha’s embrace of her villainous side, Billy’s link to Maleficent, Lilia’s nurturing role, and Jennifer’s reclamation of her identity all spotlight the diverse spectrum of witchcraft. The show encourages us to reflect on how personal experiences and societal expectations shape who we become.
Sisterhood and Conflict: The dynamic between these witches highlights the delicate balance between unity and rivalry. Lilia’s supportive nature as Glinda is a stark contrast to Agatha’s more duplicitous tendencies, creating a rich ground for both conflict and collaboration. This tension echoes the broader theme of sisterhood, illustrating how witches can either lift each other up or become adversaries, depending on the choices they make.
Legacy and the Weight of History: Each character’s costume is a reminder of the rich histories they embody, prompting us to consider how their pasts shape their present identities. Whether it’s Agatha grappling with her villainous reputation, Billy dealing with familial expectations, Lilia confronting societal roles, or Jennifer struggling against limitations, the interplay of legacy and personal choice creates a narrative that resonates deeply with the complexities of modern witchcraft.
By weaving these references to iconic fantasy witches throughout history, Episode 7 of Agatha All Along not only pays tribute to beloved characters but also invites us to dig deeper into themes of power, identity, and the evolution of witchcraft in today’s storytelling landscape. It’s a beautiful reminder that the past informs the present, and in the world of witchcraft, nothing is ever as simple as black and white.
Another Trial, Another Countdown
The Hourglass Pushes Us One Step Closer to Destiny
The trial motif cranks up the tension in Episode 7 with the hourglass—your classic “time’s running out” symbol, and for Lilia, it’s hitting hard. She’s been battling against time her entire life, but the hourglass is the ultimate countdown to a fate she can’t dodge. It’s not just there for dramatic flair, though. This hourglass ties back to earlier episodes, where we had the kitchen timer in Episode 3, a metronome in Episode 4, and that retro ’80s digital watch in Episode 5. These weren’t just fun props—they were breadcrumbs leading to this moment. Time has always been Lilia’s greatest enemy, and as the sand slips away, so do her chances of rewriting her destiny. Her trial isn’t on the horizon anymore—it’s happening now.
Agatha Labels Lilia “Dory”
When Memory Lapses Meet a Perfect Pixar Zing
In Episode 7, Agatha’s sarcasm hits a new high when she calls Lilia “Dory” as she struggles to make sense of her disjointed memories. This clever jab is a clear reference to the forgetful fish from Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. Just like the animated character who can’t keep a thought in her head for more than a few seconds, Lilia’s chaotic memory issues get a playful dig from Agatha, proving once again that no pop culture reference is off-limits when it comes to her sharp-tongued humor.
Billy’s Reunion Prophecy
Tommy Isn’t the Only Possibility
In Billy’s reading, Lilia drops the bombshell of an upcoming reunion. Naturally, Billy’s mind jumps straight to his twin brother Tommy—after all, that’s the whole reason he’s on this journey. But here’s the kicker: it might not be Tommy. This reunion could take a wild turn and involve someone unexpected, like the Scarlet Witch or even Vision. Whoever it is, you can bet it’s going to shake things up in a big way.
Tumblr media
Lilia’s Flashbacks Pay Off Big
It All Comes Together in Episode 7
In Agatha All Along Episode 7, we finally get confirmation that all of Lilia’s seemingly random outbursts throughout the season are tied to her out-of-sync existence in time. Every cryptic line she’s dropped has been a breadcrumb leading us to this moment. Here’s a breakdown of each phrase in the order it was first said
“Wispy or Kooky?” – Episode 4
“Alice Don’t” – Episode 4
“Try to Save Agatha” – Episode 3
“I Hated This the First Time” – Episode 5
“Get Off Me” – Episode 2
“You Know We Really Hated Each Other in the Beginning, But Now
” – Episode 3
“I Love You Guys” – Episode 3
When you piece them together, it’s pretty touching to realize that some of Lilia’s final words were expressions of her newfound love for the coven. The bonds she formed as they walked down the Witches’ Road make her sacrifice even more impactful. Her out-of-sequence life wasn’t just a quirky character trait—it became the key to saving her coven when the Salem Seven came knocking. Lilia’s journey may have been chaotic, but in the end, it was all part of her story of loyalty and selflessness.

Lilia’s Tarot Drop in Episode 7
The Cards Are More Than Magic—They’re the Coven
Throughout Agatha All Along, Lilia Calderu’s cryptic outbursts weren’t just random—they were actually names of Tarot cards that come into play during her trial in Episode 7. Here’s how each Tarot card, previously mentioned by Lilia, ties into key characters and moments:
Queen of Cups – This one is all Lilia. She’s the intuitive force, trusting her inner voice even when time itself is working against her.
Three of Pentacles – Represents the entire coven. It’s about collaboration and sisterhood, something Lilia had been missing but ultimately finds in her fellow witches.
Knight of Wands – Linked to Alice and her recent death, symbolizing the path already taken and what’s been lost.
High Priestess – All eyes on Jennifer here. She’s the future, holding immense spiritual power, even if she’s not ready—or willing—to use it yet.
Three of Swords – Agatha holding Billy, representing the obstacles ahead: heartbreak, sorrow, and grief. It’s the emotional weight hanging over them all.
Tower (Reversed) – A symbol of destruction and upheaval, but reversed, it hints at miraculous transformation amidst the chaos.
Death – Of course, Lady Death herself, marking the inevitable end. “Death Comes for Us All” rings loud and clear here.
The way Agatha All Along uses these Tarot cards to weave together Lilia’s journey is brilliant. Episode 7 really nails the narrative payoff, showing how each card connects not just to Lilia, but to the entire arc of the show. It’s a well-executed nod to both Lilia’s fate and the future that awaits the coven.

Rio’s Big Mic Drop
Lady Death? Yeah, She’s the OG Green Witch
Well, there it is! Rio just claimed the title of Lady Death, proving she’s been the original Green Witch all along. Things are about to get real wild!
Episode 7 of Agatha All Along drops a bombshell in its final moments—Lilia finds out that Rio Vidal is none other than the living embodiment of Death herself. Yup, you heard that right. Turns out, Rio’s the original Green Witch, and all those subtle clues sprinkled throughout the season finally come full circle. Oh, and Agatha? She knew the whole time, of course. With this massive reveal now out in the open, the last two episodes are set to explore just how insanely powerful Rio really is, and let’s be real—the stakes just got cranked up to eleven.

“Time in a Bottle” Packs a Punch
Lilia’s Emotional Rollercoaster and a Nod to Quicksilver’s Epic Scene
In Agatha All Along Episode 7, we get hit with Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle” during the end credits, and let me tell you, it’s not just background noise—it’s a deep cut into Lilia’s entire journey. This track does more than just set the tone; it taps into her power, her sacrifice, and the emotional weight of her story. When Lilia says, “Time is an illusion,” it’s not just a throwaway line—it’s the crux of her whole deal, living her life in a way that doesn’t follow a straight path.
The lyrics, “If I could save time in a bottle
just to spend them with you,” basically summarize Lilia’s abilities. She’s lived with time bottled up inside her, experiencing moments out of order. But, like the song, she couldn’t actually control it—she could only observe, never change. It’s that heartbreaking realization that, while she has the power to see everything, the moments still slip through her fingers. Much like Croce’s wish to preserve time for someone he loves, Lilia experiences her own life’s key moments—both the good and the gut-wrenching—but they always feel more like fate than choice.
Croce’s next line, “But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do, once you find them,” hits hard for Lilia. Even with her foresight, even knowing what’s coming, she couldn’t avoid the tragedies she saw. It was all laid out in front of her, but she was locked into it, just like her destiny. And in her final moments, she sacrifices herself, not because she had a choice, but because she had already seen it play out. That’s the kicker—it wasn’t desire driving her actions, it was inevitability.
“If I had a box just for wishes and dreams that had never come true
” Okay, this line? It sums up Lilia’s entire existence. She wasn’t making decisions based on dreams or hopes—she was following a script she’d already lived. Everything she did—casting the sigil, warning Agatha—wasn’t a choice. It was something she’d already done, over and over again, like a broken record. And the acceptance of that is what makes her story so tragic yet powerful.
By the time her death arrives, Lilia’s already prepared. She knew it was coming, and her Maestra’s lesson—that divination is about bracing for the future, not changing it—was the backbone of her life. She fought against what she saw but couldn’t escape it. Her story, much like Croce’s song, is a bittersweet reminder that no matter how much we wish to freeze time or hold onto moments, it’s always slipping away.
Now, for the Marvel fans out there, let’s not forget the bigger picture here. “Time in a Bottle” was also the iconic soundtrack for Quicksilver’s unforgettable scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and with Evan Peters’ appearance in Agatha All Along, the connection feels like more than a casual nod. Just like Lilia’s fate, the song is all about love, loss, and the ticking clock we can’t outrun. It leaves us wondering—if Lilia could’ve truly controlled her time, how much would she have saved?

I'm working on my Sabine Wren cosplay guys!
I'm doing her armor from season 1 (I'm using reference photos I took from Disney+. I posted them here https://www.tumblr.com/islandofarson/764537272604459008/more-sabines-i-love-her-so-much-guys-screenshots?source=share)
Tumblr media
These are the armor pieces. I need to patch up the pauldrons and finish painting the rest of the armor.
(Refer to this post to see the panda mat I sacrificed for this https://www.tumblr.com/islandofarson/764801554126618624/he-has-seen-things?source=share)
Tumblr media
These are the helmet pieces that I 3d printed. I need to sand a few pieces, glue them together, paint them, coat the inside with felt, and figure out what to use for the part you look through.
(I found the helmet print file here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2417835 It's already sliced into smaller pieces for printing and comes with a picture to help you put them together. It's completely free and is a well-made design check it out if you want to make your own helmet)
I still need to get gloves and paint them, and I have some boots on the way. (They're coming from Wyoming pray for their safe arrival) I also have a black shirt and some tan pants. I'm debating whether or not I should make her blasters too, but those can wait because 1) I need to focus on the main part of the costume my school is having a Halloween party on the 25th, and 2) I don't think we're allowed to bring fake weapons anyway so those arent as important.
So yeah theres my sad little cosplay so far lmao
(Sorry for the shitty pictures I'm at school and took some really quick pictures on my way out)

The Orville thoughts
Okay, basically, most of my reaction to watching the first few minutes of this show is "How is this legal?!" Like, people weren't kidding when they said this show is more Star Trek than modern Star Trek...
(I haven't seen this many Star Trek alumni in one place since Disney's Gargoyles! :V Seriously, my face when I saw Penny Johnson Jerald!)
More thoughts:
This show really GETS the value of opening episodes with senior officers engaging in some wacky off-duty bullshit before getting called to the bridge.
This show also GETS the value of showing events happening in bright, clear lighting. Even if this makes the cheesiness of the costumes, locations, and special effects more apparent, it also makes for clearer action too, so very much worth it overall IMO.
It is so bro-y, though. So, so bro-y. I think I might have died during the "astrology sucks" episode.
Also, I feel like Kelly Grayson's character is like the embodiment of the Cool Girl archetype (bro version)? Effortlessly pretty, always willing to get drunk and party (never in an ugly or unappealing sort of way, though), always on Ed's (quite bro-y) level when it comes to humor and hobbies and interests (you know, except for that One Time She Betrayed Him).
Also, there is so much weird "women are emotional and men are logical" and other gender essentialism going on in this show that I'm not even going to go near that... Other than to note that a lot of the issues around the depiction of Moclan culture and the relationship between the Federation Union and Moclus in the show suffers from an ultimately patriarchal sort of approach to feminism.
I might be a bit feral for Claire and Isaac's relationship, though. A lot of the elements of The Orville seem to be a direct reference to Star Trek (especially TNG). As part of that, Isaac is clearly a Data expy (except with a robot superiority complex and therefore very much NOT The Nicest Boy, unlike how Data is), but I appreciate the differences here -- that they weren't afraid to give the Data expy character a romantic plotline (quite similar to the Data episode "In Theory," which ultimately shied away from having Data successfully be in a romantic relationship). I appreciate this plotline as the path not taken there!
Overall, I think this show is surprsingly good at doing sincere emotional moments (which is unexpected given Seth Macfarlane's oeuvre), but terrible at doing politics/philosophical debates/legal drama. (Like, some of the arguments made during these sci-fi issue debates are often so bad/shallow/missing the point, it's a bit cringeworthy.) Which is quite ironic given above-mentioned weird gender essentialism going on in the writing of the show!
That said, even though I would say the politics of The Orville is only OK (I would describe it as trying to live up to Star Trek but distinctly "Reddit atheist" in its aesthetic and political leanings), at least The Orville TRIES to do philosophical debate plotlines (i.e. episodes where the whole conflict/source of tension is an ethical puzzle and one that isn't a painfully easy "obviously good position vs. obviously evil position" ethical "debate" such as "is genocide good? please discuss" or "which is better: doing science or waging war? discuss"), which is something that modern Trek seems to have kind of given up on. And often the politics here, even if not particularly great, still have a distinctly progressive lean, which is better than shows like Picard, for example.
Sometimes it's hard for me to tell what in this show is meant to be a sudden change in creative vision, hastily executed, and what is meant to be a purposeful reference to TNG's (own hastily-executed) writing. For example, the black officer at the conn who suddenly gets promoted to chief of engineering? The show deciding they needed to switch directions with this character and give him more to do, or is John LaMarr a big reference to Geordi La Forge? The female security officer getting suddenly put on a bus -- a reference to what happened to Tasha Yar, or an indication of behind-the-scenes conflict? (Whatever the intention is, the writing here, while hasty, is still overall better done than those bumpy early parts of TNG.)
Another good thing about this show is that it has a good, very likable/charming mauve shirt cast, which it treats pretty well. Which, again, is more than what can be said about a lot of modern Trek, which either has very flat and boring mauve shirts, or kills them off for cheap drama (or, frequently, both, which is hilarious -- like, sure, maybe this mauve shirt dying would have some emotional weight on this show if they literally had a personality or were given anything interesting to do before this episode, but they weren't, so... đŸ€·).
I was looking at reviews this show got, and apparently it was quite poorly reviewed in the first season, but got better reception in later seasons. I guess this makes sense as the first season was kind of stuck in that weird area between irony-filled parody, fawning homage, and just trying earnestly to bring more Star Trek-type entertainment into the world. People seemed to think it found its footing by jettisoning some of the edgier and irreverent parody aspects in favor of straightforward earnesty, but I also kind of wonder if what happened was more like as Star Trek shows started getting worse around it (Discovery declining in quality; Picard just... being Picard....; Strange New Worlds being distinctively, like, just OK; Lower Decks being fine while avoiding serious/philosophical plotlines; Prodigy also being fine but for kids), having something that didn't shy away from the aesthetics, sci-fi worldbuilding + cosmopolitics, and self-contained plots of TNG felt refreshing? Like The Orville seemed to find its niche largely by just keeping going with what it was doing, while nuTrek failed to fill or offer anything in that highly-coveted niche aside from the perfectly passable but somewhat bland SNW.
So yeah, overall, this show falls quite short of meeting the bar of "more 90s Star Trek for you to watch," but it benefits from sincerely trying to be that, including not being afraid to do entirely new worldbuilding and political-balance-of-power within its own new universe. Or trying to create plots that tackle social issues not handled before by 90s Star Trek shows. In that sense, it keeps quite well with the original spirit of Star Trek even if it doesn't quite get there. There are some updates here as well due to being made several decades later, like more casual depictions of LGBT relationships, more variety in the alien designs, and more smoothness to the writing in general (like more coherent episode plots and character arcs). Overall, I felt the show very worth watching although quite "pointy" in quality (i.e. does some things really, really great, while doing others very poorly) and just very refreshing in the current nuTrek environment. (But with Discovery regaining its footing, maybe that will change!)

Deadpool & Wolverine Review
Tumblr media
This one is the weakest in the Deadpool series but also has so much to enjoy. It's more like the swan song of the Fox X-Men series rather than an MCU entry.
First the bad. It's pretty tame compared to the first two Deadpool movies. It may be because it's now under the official Disney-Marvel banner, or maybe it's because the Writers and Actors strikes during development. Whatever the reason, it seems like it's pulling its punches. It still has plenty of bite, but there's some obvious stuff the movie avoids going after.
Already, some of the worst of the MCU is bleeding in. Mostly, that it relies too much on other works. Don't know the entire history of Marvel movies including undeveloped ones then the cameos don't feel special. Some of the stuff can go over the heads of casual fans. Didn't see Loki on Disney+? Then a lot of the second half won't make any sense. Deadpool has always used references to other Marvel work, but this is the first time it's necessary to the plot to know this stuff.
Sadly, the supporting cast seems to have been tossed aside. There's the party scenes that bookend the movie, but they're entirely gone. None of the fun interactions with Colossus, Negasonic, Dopinder, etc that made the first two so much fun. There's a moment that seems like a set-up to a side story about them rescuing Wade, but nothing comes from it.
The movie doesn't have the emotional core that the earlier two did. The first was a love story and the second about family. They had personal stakes. This one is about the destruction of the universe, which is big but lacks that personal touch. It also doesn't connect to the end of the second film as far as where the characters are. Too much of the in-between has to be explained when it would've been easier to just rewrite some scenes.
There are two villains, but neither are interesting. Both seem to do whatever furthers the plot but not what makes sense. Neither have a plan that seems thought out, just to make the most problem at any given moment. The previous two had great conflicts, and this points to that lack of personal stakes.
And finally, the Multiverse. Marvel and DC Comics have made great use of alternate realities, What Ifs, and possible futures. The movies not so much. I love seeing Patrick Stewart, Michael Keaton, and Tobey Maguire back in costume. But bringing back beloved actors, and occasionally listening to fan castings, seems to be the extent of what the movies are doing. The Deadpool Corps are also wasted. The idea of dozens of alternate Deadpools coming together should be cinematic gold. Instead they're mostly treated as cannon fodder.
Now the good. The titular duo are amazing together. Reynolds and Jackman know how to bounce off each other. Both are in perfect form, showing the kind of rapport that's straight out of the comics. This is a team up that's been fifteen years in the making, and it doesn't disappoint in that regard. Though it's definitely more Wolverine's movie. It acknowledges how terrific Logan is, but gives this new Wolverine plenty of depth in what might be the best example of having its cake and eating it too.
The movie does for the X-Men movies what No Way Home did for Spider-Man. It expertly includes the previous movie into the MCU while making a great case for their continuation. The X-Men and Spider-Man movies are the reason the MCU even exists so it's nice to see them treated so lovingly.
Just like the original Deadpool did, the movie expertly brings the R rating to the MCU. In fact, there's more blood, swearing, and carnage than the other Deadpool movies. The only thing I know they couldn't do is hardcore drug use, and this makes for some fun scenes with Blind Al. This may be under the family friendly Disney banner, but Marvel seems to realize it's best for some franchises do their own thing.
Deadpool has always had fun with Easter eggs, cameos, and references. This one more than most. The fight at the 20th Century Fox logo being a big one. It brings back a lot of characters from the franchise, and some from others like the Russian guy from the Thomas Jane Punisher movie. It may be more in-your-face than the previous two, but it's a lot of fun for the hardcore fans.
This one feels like Avengers: Endgame. Too many problems to really match up to the previous entries, but too much good stuff to be bad. The MCU has been in a rough spot, but if anything this movie proves that Marvel can acknowledge that and work to fix it. Hopefully this won't be the last we see of Deadpool and Wolverine.

Note: The show notes and the story synopsis are not final, this is just currently what I have in mind. Just not that I thought that Rogers: The Musical in Hawkeye was cringe and I want this to be an Avengers musical with a much higher quality.
Assassins In Love (An Avengers Musical)
Production Notes:
The story and the production design will incorporate elements from the comics, in particular the 616 timeline, but there will be references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. References to the Avengers Assemble and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cartoons are very welcome. The goal of the production is to be fan service in good taste, but in such a way that non-fans can also enjoy it.  Action scenes/language/sensuality will be kept at the PG-13 level.
The songs will be in the style of classic Broadway and Disney musical numbers, with touches of hip-hop and big band jazz. The superheroes and villains in their fight scenes will wear bright, colorful costumes based on their comic book and film counterparts.
The majority of the story takes place in 2010s New York City. Scenes with flashbacks and travel to other places can be depicted with lighting and stage effects.
Genres: Action, Romance, Romantic Comedy, Suspense, Spy thriller
Characters:
Starring Characters: Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Supporting female characters: Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Maria Hill, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
Pepper Potts appears at the party in Act I and in the Finale
Supporting Male characters: Steve Rogers/Captain America and Sam Wilson/Falcon; Tony Stark/Iron Man, Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, and of course Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Villains: Alexander Pierce/Red Skull and Madame B from the Red Room; Kingpin also appears briefly in Act II
Avengers Chorus: Vision, Thor, Bruce Banner/Hulk, Scott Lang/Ant-man and Hope Van Dyne/Wasp; Doctor Strange; Peter Parker/Spider-man, Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver; Rhodey/War Machine
Villain Chorus (for opening Avengers battle): Including but not limited to Loki, Baron Mordo, Mysterio, Doc Ock, Whiplash, and Zemo
Extras: NYC Civilians, SHIELD/Hydra agents
Clint Barton’s family from the MCU will be mentioned throughout the play and appear in the finale
Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter will have a romance that parallels and foils Bucky and Natasha’s relationship; they will be a couple by the end of the show.
Story Synopsis
ACT I:
Prologue—(The prologue will be depicted in a montage of scenes and dances with minimal dialogue).
Steve Rogers/Captain America and Bucky Barnes were best friends and fought side-by-side in World War II. At the end of the war, Captain America goes missing and Bucky is captured by Hydra. Red Skull turns Bucky into the Winter Soldier and uses him as an assassin to enforce Hydra’s agenda.
Meanwhile in Russia, the Red Room headed by Madame B trains young girls to be assassins but incorporates ballet into their program. Young Natasha Romanoff is one of the best pupils in the Red Room. Red Skull and Madame B arrange to have the Winter Soldier train with teenaged Natasha.
In modern times, Captain America returns. He fights the Winter Soldier only to discover that his opponent is his long-lost friend Bucky. Bucky goes into hiding.
Present Day
The Avengers save New York City from a team of supervillains. After the battle, Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff have a personal chat. Steve is adjusting to the modern world. However, ever since his encounter with the Winter Soldier he suspects that Hydra could be building in secret. He is also looking for Bucky but so far the search is fruitless. Natasha Romanoff is content with her existence as an Avenger, but she wonders if she can ever have a normal life and do something besides be an assassin. Sam Wilson arrives to tell Steve that Bucky has turned up.
At the headquarters of SHIELD, Director Nick Fury suspects that Hydra is rising again and warns Phil Coulson and Maria Hill to be on the lookout. Hydra is, in fact, operating under Fury’s nose, led by the Red Skull disguised as Alexander Pierce. Pierce works in a high-profile position at SHIELD. Madame B pays Pierce a visit, and together they plot to destroy the Avengers and help Hydra take over the world. Throughout the play, Madame B is in the background of various crowded scenes, spying on the characters.
After spending months in hiding, Bucky Barnes is in Brooklyn, his and Steve’s childhood home. Bucky is living in the streets while trying to remember his past and put his Winter Soldier days behind him. Steve Rogers finds Bucky and offers him material help. After some persuasion and argument, Steve gets Bucky to move in with him and Sam. Steve also invites Bucky to a party that night being thrown by Tony Stark.
Tony Stark throws a party at the Avengers Tower in Manhattan. While the other guests enjoy the party, Bucky sees Natasha Romanoff from across the crowded room. He remembers her from the Red Room. Natasha sees Bucky also, and she recognizes him. They meet and they talk briefly.
A few days after the party, she goes to Central Park and she sees Bucky again. They discuss their shared past.
Steve gets Bucky a job at SHIELD as a super-agent. For his first assignment, Bucky is sent out with Natasha Romanoff. It is at this point that Bucky recognizes that he has a growing romantic attraction to her.
ACT II:
Bucky has a hard time hiding his feelings for Natasha from the other Avengers. The Avengers and their coworkers at SHIELD believe that Natasha might like him back, but she is in denial. Nick Fury sends Bucky and Natasha undercover to a party in Manhattan hosted by Kingpin. Natasha and Bucky dance together at the party, and then they fight Kingpin’s thugs and arrest the crime magnate.
After the party, Natasha and Bucky frequently go on assignments together, but they also start seeing each other outside of work. Bucky is unsure about where to take his relationship with Natasha. He goes to Steve for advice, and as they reminisce about old times, they rekindle their former friendship. Later, Bucky summons up his personal courage and he tells Natasha that he loves her. They start ‘officially’ dating as a couple, but Madame B is spying on them. Maria Hill, however, is in turn spying on Madame B. Hill tips off Fury that Hydra is going to make their move.
Natasha rented an apartment in Manhattan (furnished by SHIELD) for an ongoing assignment and she is staying there while she and Bucky are dating. Madame B breaks into Natasha’s apartment while she is getting ready for a date with Bucky. Natasha is overpowered and tied to a chair. Then Madame B disguises herself as Natasha and she goes out and captures Bucky.
The Avengers receive Nick Fury’s call for help and they ‘Assemble’ to take out Hydra. Sharon Carter makes a phone call to Natasha and learns that Natasha has been captured and that Bucky is being lured into a trap. While the Avengers go to save Bucky, Natasha attacks her guards and frees herself to go join the Avengers.
When the Avengers come to rescue Bucky, Alexander Pierce reveals himself to them as Red Skull. There is a battle between the Avengers and the Hydra sleeper agents. Natasha arrives, and during the combat she and Bucky steal several moments to ask each other if they are all right. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes take turns fighting the Red Skull. Red Skull attempts to set off a bomb, but Natasha disables it. Bucky kills Red Skull. Madame B and the other Hydra agents are arrested. Bucky asks Natasha to marry him and she says yes.
Finale: The Avengers throw a big wedding for Bucky and Natasha.

Random Thoughts on Persona 5 Royal - Part 3
[Progress: October 13th, 5th Palace conquered]
<<< Part 2
I've been thinking a lot about what it'd be like if I were a Phantom Thief. Perhaps I'll draw that sometime.
God damn, this game is long. I consider myself someone with pretty good JRPG stamina, but I'm about 103 hours into this game and I'm nowhere near the finish line. For reference, my Persona 4 Golden playthrough maxed out at 100 hours.
It took me far too long to notice that the letters on Caroline and Justine's hats spell out "oxymoron".
The Doraemon reference in the movie theater got a chuckle out of me.
I like the little quips from your party members while exploring Mementos. One of my favorites is Morgana complaining about the tiny school desks in the suggestion box.
Ryuji and Yusuke's Showtime attack is the funniest shit I've ever seen.
The fact that Futaba's All-Out Attack splash screen says "Git Gud" is pretty indicative of when this game initially released. If the game came out now, it'd probably say "Skill Issue" or something.
Haru's Phantom Thief costume is probably my favorite. Hats with feathers in them are guaranteed to look cool.
Add Futaba to the list of characters who desperately need a hug. I like the idea of someone willingly asking for their heart to be stolen. After all, the Phantom Thieves don't just beat the shit out of scumbags: they help those who can't help themselves.
I also like how Futaba's awakening is somewhat of a callback to Persona 4, as she awakens to her Persona by facing her Shadow directly (no face-bleeding required).
How is she so goddamn short (then again, I guess being a shut-in could've stunted her physical growth)
You can tell that I have some stuff to say about Futaba. Yusuke has some competition for favorite Phantom Thief.
Another Persona game, another awkward beach scene... (except for Yusuke's lobster gag, that amused me).
TANAKA IS BACK, LET'S GOOOOOO
Why did Ryuji think that Los Angeles was the United States capital? Is he stupid?
HOLY SHIT, MAGICAL GIRL
Shadow Okumura needs to speak up, man. It's like they lowered his volume compared to the other characters (which kind of makes sense with the space helmet he's got on, but still).
Unfortunately, I have been spoiled as to the Black Mask's true identity. I don't care how old this game is, tag your damn spoilers!
When I was in middle school, I went to a water park on a school field trip, and the county schools rented it out for the students. I thought that alone was magical. Imagine getting a whole Disney park rented out just for you and your homies.
With the death of President Okumura, and the tanking of public approval, the Phantom Thieves' resolve is starting to waver...
The sixth calling card is addressed to Sae Niijima. I can't wait to see how this story will unfold.
âšĄïžConfidant Lightning Round
Beep boop.
My man Sojiro going through it...
With the way that Futaba peppers her speech with video game references, I see a bit of my 15-year-old self in her. I've noticed references to Pokémon, D&D, and RPG terms in general (EXP, trash mobs, etc.).
Imagine meeting a cute nerdy girl and the first thing she does is ask if you're a NPC 💀 poor Mishima, I would've never recovered from that
I like Iwai's little quips about gun terminology.
Takemi please step on me
You're telling me that the Get Smoked hat was from this game!?
I would do anything for a politician like Yoshida.
As I have discovered, there are some unused voice lines implying that Sae was planned to be a romance option at some point. That would've been one hell of an enemies-to-lovers (even if it wouldn't make sense narratively).
Well, I've gotten the Faith and Councillor Confidants to their proper ranks before their deadlines. I guess I'll wait and see what happens next.

I want more French!Steve at some point in a knight Halloween costume. ::nods:: Gimmie gimmie please?
The Good Knight and the Evil Fairy (AO3)
Steven stared at himself in the full-length mirror one more time. It was All Hallows Eve and Antoine was throwing a costume party in the Avengers Tower penthouse. After a great deal of internal debate, Steven decided to go as a Templar Knight. To that end, Pepper, Antoine’s assistant-turned-girlfriend, introduced him to a friend who was a talented seamstress and “cosplayer.”
Said friend was able to make a costume with a high degree of authenticity, thanks to his input. Fully garbed, Steven looked much like he had in the 14th Century and he was unsure how that made him feel. Nostalgic and missing those he had lost, certainly, but as much as the code of the Knights Templar was stamped on his soul, he wasn’t the same man he had been back then. The 21st Century had changed him and especially one particular woman of this time.
Antoine spotted him as soon as he walked into the penthouse. Dressed as the devil himself, he grinned as he approached Steven. “It’s about time, Lancelot. I was about to send out a search party.”
Steven rolled his eyes good-naturedly. “It has only been fifteen minutes since the announced starting time, Antoine. Is this not referred to as ‘fashionably late?’”
“Yeah, but since when have you been concerned with being fashionable?” He looked Steven over. “It’s a ‘come as you aren’t’ party, not a ‘come as you used to be.’”
“Et toi?” Steven asked, one eyebrow raised. “Were you not a devil until you saw the light in the desert?”
Antoine chuckled. “You got me there. So, you’re probably wondering where your ladylove is.”
Steven was already looking around at all of their costumed teammates and friends, looking for Darcy. He finally spotted her talking to Jane. It took him a moment to place the black horns on her head then he realized she was dressed as Maleficent from Disney’s take on La Belle au bois dormant.
Antoine chuckled. “I see you’ve found her. Let’s hope you won’t have to stab this Maleficent with your sword.”
Steven rolled his eyes again. “She’s not a dragon and I’m not Phillip. Besides, I will be too occupied with asking for her hand.”
“It’s about damn time,” Antoine muttered then gave Steven a push in her direction.
Taking a deep breath, he made his way to Darcy’s side. She beamed at him when she saw what he was wearing.
“So, my knight in shining armor decided to make it official once more. I love it!”
He couldn’t help grinning back. “Merci, mon amour. You, on the other hand, make for a formidable Evil Fairy.”
“Thanks! I know I’m too short for Maleficent-”
“Hush, you’re perfect.”
She smirked. “You’re hardly an unbiased judge, Big Guy.” She took his arm, mindful of the sword sheathed at his side, then pulled him into a secluded corner before pulling his head down for a kiss, which he was happy to give.
When Darcy needed to breathe, he pulled back and found himself rather breathless as well, despite his enhanced stamina. She noticed but before she had a chance to question it, he got down on one knee before her. Every conversation in the room stopped but he was focused only on Darcy’s surprised face.
“Darcy, mon amour, mon desir, mon vie, I would be lost without you. I offer you my hand, my life, my unending service, anything you could ever want, and in return, I only ask for the honor to call myself your husband. Will you marry me?”
Her eyes welling with what he hoped were happy tears, all Darcy could do was nod but that and her smile were more than enough. Grinning from ear to ear, he pulled the ring from the small pouch on his belt. “I wanted to give you a ring from my time but all surviving examples are in museums now. Still, I hope this replica will do.” He slipped the gold ring on her left ring finger, the oval pearl luminous in its ornate gold setting.
“It’s perfect,” she whispered, awed, before everyone broke into cheers and applause.
Steven chuckled as he got to his feet. “I would have preferred to do this without an audience.”
Darcy smirked. “Then you shouldn’t have done it in the middle of a party. Let’s let them congratulate us then we can go back to our place for the real celebration.”
“An excellent idea, mon coeur.”

Buff Batmom Octavia is getting everyone funny/gag costumes for Halloween, Barbie, and her sisters costumes. The family not getting that they are joke costumes and thinking that she put thought and love into picking them out and taking these costumes to the next level with props, makeup, and everything. Even wearing them to (idk) Justice League and Team parties! Lol
Bruce: Milo Thatch, from Atlantis: the lost empire. It's set in 1914. The character is a dorky scholar who wears large harry potter style glasses and falls in love with Princess Kida of Atlantis (and both saves and is saved by her)
Octavia: Princess Kida of Atlantis (enough said)
Jason: Barbie. Complete with heels, full face of makeup, a 1000% bright pink frilly sparkly dress, and saying things like "Well golly!" Or "Oh, that darn schlonpuffa!" (Reference to Barbie life in the Dreamhouse) and everyone being scared and confused when he GIGGLES after that!
Damian: The youngest sister Chelsea, acts sweet but is really chaotic. Only, he is in all pink, and it looks like a 5 year old's dress up chest threw up on him before a unicorn explosion happened.
Dick: Skipper, who is the punk skater girl of the early 2000s on Disney Channel. Dick commits to it and even uses phrases such as: "like, talk to the hand" and other stuff like that.
Tim: Stacie, who is a planner but is also a girly girl, Tim has to skip and smile and act like a 10 year old girl (Stacie is 10-11 yo)
The family see the work and planning she's put into the costumes, and can't say no to dressing up for her, and proceed to be stubborn and defensive of the outfits by anyone making fun of it because of how happy it makes her. They're especially defensive and willing to go along with it if they've learnt about her own childhood and see this as her making up for lost time

Bunny Suits, Body Shots, and Bloody Idiots

He didn’t mind one bit winning the Sluttiest Dressed award tonight.
Which is the exact thought he was thinking when he spotted a contender for the title: a round little bunny in a shiny red bodysuit, black lace stockings up to his deliciously thick thighs, and fluffy white ears buried in his equally fluffy white hair. Frightfully familiar white hair.
