I have to have a chuckle at the Screenrant article posted recently about the Galactic Starcruiser, which totally wasn't about Jenny Nicholson's video honest.
In part, because early in Nicholson's video, she talks about how unnatural it is to have your influencers speak in adcopy and copyright rather than the more colloquial nicknames, and how it makes the people speaking about the product seem very insincere and, well, paid off. Because normal humans don't speak that way, but advertising does.
What's the first two lines in this article?
"As a life-long fan of Star Wars, there was nothing quite as exciting as finding out that I would be working on the immersive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience. Located at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Galactic Starcruiser opened on March 1, 2022, and welcomed passengers to board a two-day, two-night cruise through the stars, during which they could live out their own Star Wars adventure."
No one talks like this naturally. No one writes like this naturally.
This is supposed to be your passioned defense of the place you worked at, the people you worked with, and the memories you made along the way. C'mon! Why don't you open with a story, perhaps an anecdote about the best moment you had working there, or the devastation of the day you lost your dream job. We need to feel your humanity! But there's nothing of that here, to the point where you can just hear the TM behind Galactic Starcruiser.
The first half of this article continues in this vein, reading like a press release Disney marketing put out, just with past tense rather than present or future tense:
"Essentially, the Starcruiser experience was a 48-hour movie that passengers were actually a part of. It was all facilitated through the "datapad," which was accessed through the Play Disney Parks app."
"To facilitate the overarching immersive experience and storytelling, the Starcruiser built a jam-packed itinerary for each and every guest that would consist of a variety of important activities: the captain's toast at muster, a bridge training exercise, lightsaber training, and more. These types of events were essential to understanding what was happening, as they would give passengers the chance to interact with characters and build their story. This is why the Starcruiser could never be just a hotel; every part of it was designed for enthusiastic interaction."
Like, c'mon. I used to work in television. I've seen and used adcopy in my former job, and this is some serious adcopy. It honestly wouldn't shock me if the author dredged up some old adcopy they had lying around about the topic and just transferred it over, changing the tense. You're not here to sell us this product, because there is no product to sell. It's gone, it's been gone for a year, you don't have to sell us on IT. Speak about your experiences.
The next part is yet another topic that Jenny Nicholson pointed out, the bad faith excuses that influencers and advertisers made for the extreme price point:
"What many people don't know, however, is that the price included much more than just a room. The passengers' food, park tickets, recreation activities on board, non-alcoholic drinks, and more were all included - with merchandise being one of the few additional costs on board."
Which is absolute bad faith reasoning, especially when there are plenty of other vacation options that are ALSO all-inclusive, but are MUCH cheaper and offer MORE amenities than the Galactic Starcruiser did! Including Disney Cruises, owned by the same company! Seriously, you can go on a halfway decent sounding cruise or all-inclusive resort somewhere warm for, like, a week or two and spend far less than GSC cost.
Then the last part is essentially: "All the workers liked working there and the bad reviews afterwards make the workers who worked on it feel sad. :("
Which, like, companies have been hiding behind that reasoning for ages. Curiously, the author never offers....any reasons or stories. WHY did working on it impact you so much? What set it apart, what were the people like, what did you like about working there, why are you so passionate about it even a year later? There's nothing, just a generic sort of "We worked hard." and "We're sad it's gone." Why? How? What happened? The video you're obviously writing this in response to is filled with personal anecdotes and stories, it's the backbone of the video! Again, you need to give us something to show your humanity!
Especially when you consider that Nicholson repeatedly points out that the only highlight about her experience, the only thing that kept the damn thing going was the workers.
She had nothing but praise for them, and nothing but contempt for the higher ups who wasted and abused that enthusiasm, to the point where one of her last points was "Hey, Disney is basically exploiting labor."
Much like Jenny, I'm also not condemning anyone who had a good time working there. Good! If you were having a good time at work, that's great. If you have good memories about the people, awesome. But I'll note two things:
a) That doesn't meant you weren't being exploited, and
b) That doesn't mean you have to be a useful idiot for the corporation you worked for afterwards.
I'm not conspiracy brained enough to go "Oh, Disney TOTALLY forced this article into being.", because a cursory examination of the author's prior works and such suggests a lifelong passion for Star Wars, she did work at the hotel, and she's a Star Wars Editor (whatever THAT means in this day and age) for Screen Rant. Apparently one of the heads of Screen Rant says that Disney had no hand in it either.
Though, I can see why people would think that way. It READS like a press release, not something a normal human being would write about an experience they feel passionate about.

2021: Disney - All-Star Movies Resort
While on our Disney 2021 vacation we stayed at the All-Star Movies Resort on the Disney World complex. The All-Star resorts are the most economical choice for staying on property and are very nice, even if small. In fact, on this trip the All-Star resort room price was only $10 more than the cheapest offsite hotel which made it worth it just for parking alone! The room we stayed in had two Murphy…

🦣 + Audrey, please??
@dancingsunflowers-ocs 💖
Anything for you, dear Alexandra!! Also gonna tag the rest of the Glee gang: @luucypevensie, @ginger-grimm, @ginevrastilinski-ocs, and @manyfandomocs!! <3
A summer trip they think of fondly: The summer Audrey was seven, the first one after she moved in with her aunt, Coach Beiste decided to rent a cabin on the coast and took Audrey there for a week, wanting to give her something nice after all she’d been through. They spent that entire week swimming in the ocean, collecting shells, and sitting on the beach under the stars, and to this way it’s one of Audrey’s favourite memories.
Their favorite Disney princess: Absolutely Cinderella; she likes the lesson of her movie, that no matter how bad things might get, you will make it through if you remain kind and have hope.
The first song they would dance to with their partner at their wedding: I think she and Finn would agree on Chris Stapleton’s version of “You Are My Sunshine”.
If they have tattoos or piercings: Audrey isn’t the type of person to want anything but her ears pierced, and she doesn’t have any tattoos now, but she plans to get something to honour her aunt when she’s a little older, as well as a floral one.
The scariest moment in their life: The day her father was arrested when she was seven. The front door of their tiny house was kicked in and her father was dragged away in handcuffs while little Audrey screamed and cried and was held back from running after him, and there’s a part of her that’s never quite gotten over what she went through that day.
If they would break the law: It would definitely be the last resort if she did, since she is terrified of going to jail like her father, but if it was for a really good cause she could be persuaded to do some light theft or defacement of property.
Their favorite reality show (because everyone secretly has one): Any of the shows in the Real Housewives franchise. She finds them hilarious and ridiculous, so they’re usually her go-to when she’s feeling down or sick.
If they have a favorite chore: She actually really likes sweeping, mainly because she gets to pretend she’s Cinderella and sing “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” while she does it.
If they like being in pictures and what faces they make in them: She doesn’t always like being in pictures, or at least not formal ones, because the sight of herself in them can make her insecure, but she will never say no to a selfie with her friends and she’ll always have the biggest beaming smile in those.
If they get along with kids: Audrey gets along famously with kids! She has the coveted ability to get even the grumpiest kid to crack a smile, and shortly after moving becomes Lima’s most sought-after babysitter.

The Bratty Teenage Daughter Trope in Cartoons
Max Goof from A Goofy Movie and An Extremely Goofy Movie, as well as on occasion on Goof Troop, qualifies as a male example. He cares about his popularity and image, loudly complains about minor inconveniences, and is somewhat materialistic, as shown when he expresses envy for his friend who has cool stuff but not a good home life. Most of the time this shows up, however, he learns to appreciate what he has... for now.
Kootie Pie from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World (1991) is the only Koopa Kid to make "King Dad" sweat via tantrum.
Angelica in All Grown Up! after being a Bratty Half-Pint in Rugrats. In the 1st show, there was Susie's sister Alisa, especially in "The Last Babysitter".
Katie Ka-Boom of Animaniacs. She was more short-tempered and impatient than particularly bratty, though, and was sweet and cute when she wasn't angry.. The 2020 reboot also has one, Cora, who is shown to be upset at having her sixteenth birthday ruined.
Catherine from Arthur in her first appearances. She matures in later episodes though.
Caprice the goth teenager from The Crumpets is into fashion and liking boys, but she does remarkably rude things, gets frustrated, and can extravagantly gush when she can't get things the way she wants. She may hate "this world" or herself, the latter case maybe going into suicidal territory.
Quinn Morgendorffer from Daria, as well as Sandi Griffin, who is also an Alpha Bitch. Quinn, at least, grows out of it a bit.
Candy of Dave the Barbarian. Dave and the other lampshade her many attributes with incredible familiarity.
Judy Funnie of Doug is this sometimes, when she's not being a Cloudcuckoolander or Cool Big Sis. Beebe Bluff too, in the Disney version, anyway.
This was the original characterization of Meg Griffin from Family Guy, which was justified by the desire to gain acceptance from her high school peers.
In the short-lived God, the Devil and Bob, Megan qualifies as one, which her mother revels in when Megan, over her objections, tries to adopt a disobedient dog, complaining about it behaving the same way she tends to.
Trina Riffin of Grojband is an exaggerated take to the point of being downright evil in her self-centered, overdramatic attitude. In fact, Grojband gets the inspiration for their songs' lyrics from her angst-filled diary entries. However, it's been hinted that she wasn't always this way.
Judy Jetson of The Jetsons. She sometimes acts much like a typical rebellious American teenage daughter whose interests include clothes, hanging out with boys, and revealing secrets to her diary.
Discussed In The Legend of Korra episode "A Leaf in the Wind" when Tenzin expresses frustration with his teenaged live-in Airbending student, Korra (the fact she's the reincarnation of his father Aang provides a very odd family dynamic). After his daughters witness a particularly bad bout where Korra insults Tenzin's teaching skills, Tenzin tries to avoid the inevitable.
Lori Loud of The Loud House tends to get uptight when things don't go her way. Justified, given her Valley Girl tendencies.
For a non-Valley Girl example, Lynn Jr. She's a Passionate Sports Girl who will often resort to Tantrum Throwing over the pettiest of offenses like losing a board game.
Miraculous Ladybug: Chloé Bourgeois’ father André is not only Mayor of Paris but also a hotel owner. It’s no surprise she’s spoiled and used to getting what she wants, throwing tantrums, or doing petty things out of revenge when she doesn’t. She gets it from her mother.
Serenity Zilla from My Dad the Rock Star, who's spoiled by the rich lifestyle of being a famous rock star's daughter. However, she does have her moments showing she's not quite as shallow or self-centered as she seems.
My Life as a Teenage Robot: Downplayed, but Jenny occasionally acts like a bratty teenage delinquent towards her mother Dr. Nora Wakeman if she doesn’t get her way.
Ozzy & Drix (2012): Ozzy was this as a teenager, as he only cared about shopping for clothes, idolizing artists like My Chemical Romance (Gerard Way in particular) and Avril Lavigne, swooning over his girlfriend Leah Estrogen, delivering comebacks to his popular Mayor brother, Paul Spryman, and arguing with his police chief dad. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to turn a bratty teenage cell into a cop just because of his family's legacy.
Peppermint Rose has Rose start out as this, and she learns to put others' needs before her own.
Candace Flynn of Phineas and Ferb. High-strung, to boot. Though she's a more minor example. A more major one from the show would be Vanessa, but having an "evil" goofball for a father would do that to any girl.
Martha DeBoar in Pig City is concerned solely with things that benefit her, and takes pleasure in things that negatively impact her brother and cousin in any way
Becky Detweiler in Recess at times. By the end of the movie, she gets better, and is back to the way she was for the DTV movie "Taking the Fifth Grade".
On South Park, Stan's sister Shelley has been this, but it has become progressively less and less covert.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Mr. Krabs' daughter Pearl often falls into this category. She's regularly crying about mild inconveniences and has little patience for Mr. Krabs' weirder quirks even beyond his greed
Gems in Steven Universe are The Ageless, but some of them certainly look and act like teenage girls:
Amethyst is the "rebellious teen" of the Crystal Gems and is frequently at odds with Pearl, the "mother" of the team.
Flashbacks show Pearl acting rather petulant when she was younger, mostly towards Greg, especially for things involving Rose.
After Lapis Lazuli is defused from Malachite, she has a consistent attitude of apathy and untrusting aloofness. She shows a warmer side toward Steven and, eventually, Peridot.
A flashback dream in "Jungle Moon" reveals Pink Diamond to have been a mix of this and Annoying Younger Sibling to Yellow Diamond, with Yellow Diamond acting like an Aloof Big Sis who gets fed up when her bratty fellow Diamond gets in the way of her work. Pink Diamond, clearly trying to get Yellow's attention, whines that she deserves her own army and colony since she's a Diamond and thus just as important as Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond snaps that Pink Diamond sure isn't acting very important. The dream ends with Pink Diamond smashing a window in hurt frustration. And by the way, Pink is about twelve feet tall, but still completely dwarfed by the other Diamonds
Molly from Taz-Mania is Taz's younger sister, who despite being more refined than him, often shares his vicious nature, though in a more Sibling Rivalry sense. She loves the boy band New Chips off the Block and worries constantly about her image.
Kitten from Teen Titans (2003), daughter of the supervillain Killer Moth, who forces her father to threaten Robin into taking her to her junior prom.
Amanda Duff, Elmyra's older sister from the Tiny Toon Adventures episodes, "Take Elmyra Please" and "Grandma's Dead".
Debbie Thornberry from The Wild Thornberrys, who would be anywhere except travelling the world to film wild animals with the rest of her family. Though she's at least a little smarter than the average.

Ella x S/O Reader Going to Disney World
Ella was ELATED that you wanted her to go to Disney World with you. While she’s never been to the parks, she’s always dreamed of going and eventually she wound up learning about the parks inside and out. She also found out about Disneybounding and packed a Snow White-inspired outfit for every day that you were there.
Florida’s hot no matter when you travel, but you ultimately chose to go in the springtime… right after spring break. There were less crowds and Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival is still going on. She really wanted to see all the different topiaries and other countries’ gardens.
Ella preferred the show-based attractions over the thrill rides; her favorite attractions were Mickey’s Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom and the Frozen sing-along at Hollywood Studios.
She also really enjoyed Animal Kingdom… she sang A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes and all the goats and pigs in the Affection Section were drawn to her. You had to gently persuade Ella not to sing on the safari ride otherwise the giraffes would block the vehicle.
The final day of your trip was quieter after all that time in the parks… maybe you woke up late and had some pool time, maybe you got breakfast at one of the resorts and then went to Disney Springs, maybe you capped off the day with dinner and watching one of those “movies under the stars” films on the lawn of the hotel. Ella found herself cherishing that quiet time with you just as much as she enjoyed the parks.
The day after you both returned home, Ella started planning the next trip. So Y/N, do you want to go around October for Halloween or do you want to go after November for the holidays?

Male star wars fans, that see you praise or enjoy any part of disneyverse star wars and then immediately resort to; "oh you must love rey """""skywalker"""""" you fucking fake fan you lap up everything disney gives you and enjoy all this WOKE shit their putting in my asian-inspired anti facist movie" are so FUCKING WEAK
Not only could you not be FARTHER from the truth (I hate the sequels, rey as a skywalker, and we probably share many opinions about why the sequels tread all over what came before and are a disservice to the franchise. But that does not mean I boycott everything disney puts out and claim that its woke for including women and POC in leading roles.)
But you are claiming it like its some "gotcha moment" against people who DO enjoy the sequels. Like...? They're not for me but acting as if someone liking them, invalidates every other opinion they have on star wars is so fucking stupid???
Theres a minute long trailer for The Acolyte and some of y'all are already shitting on it and claiming its going to be awful for the WRONG REASONS.

But no, about my deep dive into the wayback machine. There’s been this whole ado lately about misogynistic men saying “female fans mostly aren’t real fans” and “those who like Disney era SW just want a strong female lead.” And it’s kraytspit, of course. But it also gets me thinking about how I’ve lived and breathed Star Wars since I was 7.
How Mom started me with Episode I and I just asked “where is Darth Vader” so we actually started with IV and it’s funny that in the end I liked the prequels more. My sister worked at Burger King and got all the kids meal Episode 3 toys for us and I spent hours playing with them and rearranging them on the shelf and I still won’t let them be thrown away.
How mom read Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest to me. The way we stumbled across Secrets of the Jedi at my aunt’s local library and it felt like discovering treasure and we had to read the entire book before our vacation ended. Finding favorites in the series and checking them out over and over to read on my own-school library, local library. Mom read me Junior Jedi Knights and I met Han and Leia’s son for the first time. Grew up a bit, read Young Jedi Knights on my own. Remember reading the Emperor’s Plague while my girl scout troop was on an archery field trip. Checked out the Episode I visual Dictionary from my local library a hundred times. And Amidala’s Journal.
I grew up watching the OG Clone Wars. One of the first video games I owned was the Episode III plug in and play game. I had it in 2nd grade when I got the flu and my dad and I played it a ton. My friend would come over just to play it and I resorted to hiding it in my closet.
Went to SW.com a lot. I remembering playing the coloring book, a picture of Padme in the meadow in AotC. The Who Said It was my mine and my mom’s thing. There was a section of question and answers on every movie and I loved it so much. Leia’s wookieepedia page was the first wookieepedia page I ever read and I was so amazed by how detailed it was.
I remember giggling too loudly at Rotta the huttling when I was ten and he was so tiny and cute for a huttling in the movie theater. The Clone wars was my preteens-stupid hatred for Satine, cute butterflies for Luxsoka, etc.
I remember QuizUp being The Thing in early high school and living in the Star Wars category cause where else would I be?
And then, it all stopped. The old EU was no longer canon and so much of what I grew up with I held my breath to see. What it would trample over. I still don’t think I’ve read anything with the Solo kids-the real Solo kids- since then. Maybe very early on. Not since TFA for sure. Meanwhile I can’t bring myself to read new Jedi Apprentice era stuff. Like it’s odd.
Off topic. But point is. That’s not getting into the fandom side of things. Point is. I’ve lived and breathed this series since I was seven. I grew up on it. If some dude ever claimed I wasn’t a real fan I’d laugh in their faces. But no one should be accused of it simple because of their gender. And cause it’s being thrown about I’ve been thinking about my roots a lot.
I think the real point of this tho is I’ve always been a books and cartoons>movies Star Wars girlie.

IP-Neutral Disneyland
So, bit of backstory, I was reading some rumours about the Mickey Mouse copyright expiring and one silly rumor was the concept of Mickey being replaced by Figment in the parks, which is obviously completely unlikely considering not just the recent park updates (Toontown being a big example) but also that it means replacing an IP character with a Park Exclusive character, which with the recent IP-happy park designers would be a likely no. But what if it was the opposite? What if, instead of a theme park with several IP based attractions and areas, you had a theme park with ZERO IP based attractions and areas? That means nothing based on films, tv shows, or books and only using original property created for the parks ex. Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, etc.
Let’s start this experiment!
For this experiment, I will be focusing on the og park Disneyland California as it is the oldest and also I own the Disneyland Encyclopedia Updated Third Edition (2017) so I can look back through history to see if an IP attraction had an IP-neutral past. I'll be putting aside the three IP-heavy lands, Fantasyland, Toontown, and Galaxy's Edge for the end.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAIN STREET USA
Nearly all of Main Street is non-IP so the only changes would be removing some of the movie specific stuff (though the place did have a theatre that showed actual movies so you could excuse showing Disney cartoons and movies). Also, Jolly Holiday Baking Café would have to go, likely replaced by the old Blue Ribbon Bakery.
TOMORROWLAND
Simply put, no Star Wars or Pixar. This doesn’t mean losing the rides, just altering them. Finding Nemo’s Submarine Voyage just needs to return back to it’s old non-IP ride Submarine Voyage. Astro Blasters can have a similar theme of being a space patrol officer defeating alien criminals, just without Buzz Lightyear (although I kinda wanna sneak in some TV references). As for Star Tours, you could have a similar theme of rouge smugglers trying to get a person of interest or package away from government forces… or you can have it be like Space Jungle Cruise where you’re touring real or fictional planets and maybe something goes wrong. Possibilities are pretty endless with Star Tours virtual ride system. Speaking of embracing Tomorrowland’s past, the spot where the IP Pizza Planet is used to be where Mission to Mars and Rocket to the Moon were, so why not theme the restaurant to be set on Mars or our Moon!
ADVENTURELAND
@disneylanddilettante had a very good IP-neutral treehouse concept called Castaway Treehouse. As for the famous Indiana Jones ride, I do have a solution from the eastern parks: S.E.A also known as the Society of Explorers and Adventurers is a Park Exclusive fictional group that exists in several attractions including Mystic Manor and Fortress Exploration. It also has several members that are spread through Disney’s attractions (ex. Dr. Albert Falls of Jungle Cruise)… including Jock Lindsey from Raiders of the Lost Ark. So all Disney would need to do is replace Indy (and any other movie character from the series) with a different member of S.E.A. The rest of the ride can stay the same.
FRONTIERLAND
The only edit would be Tom Sawyer’s Island. Maybe rebrand it an outlaw hideout to fit the western theme. (Also no Fantasmic)
NEW ORLEANS SQUARE
No big edits except for restoring Pirates of the Caribbean to it’s former non-movie ride
CRITTER COUNTRY
Bit of history; Before the Song of the South ride came to Disneyland, the area of Critter Country was entirely based around a ride that proved successful in Walt Disney World and was made after the plans for a Disney ski resort were cancelled. That ride was Country Bear Jamboree and the land was Bear Country, a peaceful quiet corner of the park. In fact Splash Mountain was only added to bring more crowds in. So, in terms of fixing it, keep the Pacific Northwest bear theme and play with that. Disney has proven to be able to make original bear characters, add in a couple of American legends (Paul Bunyan for example) and keep Splash Mountain but make it an original story instead of Songs Of The South.
GALAXY’S EDGE
Obviously, we can’t keep this because the entire area is Star Wars. I do have two options for replacements though: The first is expanding Frontierland or Bear Country to create more natural landscapes for exploration or more ride space (and connect the two lands) The second is bringing in the lost Discovery Bay that would have brought a nineteenth century Barbosas Bay with plenty of unique attractions
TOONTOWN
Ok so this one might seem impossible considering the main mouse, but as countless video games and shows have proven, you can make a cartoon universe without relying on an existing real world cartoon. Hell the plot of Who Framed Roger Rabbit revolved around a fictional cartoon series! You can keep the generic toon-like world without the movie references, making it about a fictional cartoon world and having the rides be different episodes (or have one be an episode like Runaway Railroad and the other be a backstage tour of Toontown that goes wrong like Car-Toon Spin).
FANTASYLAND
The original IP zone, as was the intention of it during all it’s various concepts. So how do you make it IP-Neutral? Well for that I’m taking inspiration off one of the only two IP-Neutral rides in Fantasyland: The Swiss-themed Matterhorn Mountain and Matterhorn Bobsleds. I would LOVE to see more Switzerland architecture and castles cause it is BEAUTIFUL. Plus, Switzerland has quite a few myths that could make for interesting attractions, including William Tell, dragons, witches, avalance-surfing dwarfs, etc (actually that last one could make a fun alternate Mad Tea Party ride)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see, some of the park wouldn’t change at all or very little (Main Street USA, Frontierland, etc) while others would be completely different from what they are today (Fantasyland, Critter Country, etc). Does it prove that Disneyland be better or worse without the IPs? I leave that to you guys to discuss, I’m just having fun with coming up with an alternatve to Unnecciary Sci-Fi Franchise Land.

This week's Disney hotel is Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. While the resort is heavily themed around Disney movies, I decided to focus on the name of the resort for inspiration. I couldn't resist creating a Barbie-inspired outfit after seeing Margot Robbie's amazing looks during the press tour for the upcoming Barbie movie. When my random selector landed on "Disney's All-Star Movies Resort," I took it as a sign and went all in on the Barbie movie wave.
To start, I chose a pink Aje dress that felt like the perfect Barbie dress. Since we're at an All-Star resort, the outfit can't be too fancy, but Barbie is not known for being overly casual either. To balance the party vibe of the dress while still keeping the Barbie look, I paired it with a simple white cropped blouse with a peter pan collar to wear underneath. This makes the outfit more daytime appropriate while still being Barbie-worthy.
For shoes, I went for peep-toe mules as a nod to classic Barbie style. They are pink with a double crystal bow embellishment, which also screams Barbie! Bows may be a symbol of Barbie, but so are hearts, so I selected an adorable pink heart-shaped Chanel handbag.
No Barbie outfit would be complete without some hair accessories, so I added a pink hairbow. For some bling, I included a bracelet with a heart charm that fits perfectly with the theme. Finally, to protect your eyes from the Florida sun, I suggest those adorable butterfly-shaped sunglasses.
With this Barbie-inspired outfit, you're sure to turn heads and feel like the ultimate Barbie doll, no matter where the day takes you.

#Oscar #award
"Johnny Depp, one of Hollywood’s most talented and beloved actors of all time. It still comes as a surprise to many fans that he actually still hasn’t received an Academy Award. Here's why Johnny Depp deserves to finally win an Oscar.
If the Oscar is given to the best-performing actor of a certain year, Depp should have several statuettes by now. Depp is a multi-talented star, adding talented musician and an incredible painter to his already impressive acting resume. A prodigal son whose talents were discovered and put to use, the great Nicolas Cage was the one to encourage Depp to take on acting. One of his first successes in the industry was his role in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, an American coming-of-age drama film directed by Lasse Hallström, following a young Gilbert who lives with his obese, depressed mother and his siblings. Depp’s talent is completely tangible through his performance in this movie, where he tries to balance his youthful dreams and hopes with his responsibility towards his mother and his mentally disabled brother.
However, it was not until his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl that he was finally nominated for the first time for the Academy Award. The Disney fantasy was an immediate box office success, reaching $654.3 million following its 2003 release. The story follows pirate Jack Sparrow (Depp) and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they attempt to save Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), who was kidnaped by the cursed crew. This particular performance established the genius of Depp and drew the picture of his talent very clearly in the minds of viewers and cinema fans. He acted the role with everything he had: his voice, his facial expressions, his funny body gestures, and his emotions. Although the movie falls under the genres of fantasy and adventure, the viewers’ attachment to the character of Jack Sparrow reminded us of the kind of influence that characters in drama movies have. His talent alone was able to hook millions of fans without having to resort to dramatic effects, and complex dialogue.
Usually, when someone rises above the competition, it means that they are confident in their talent and what they bring to the table. Depp has always been different, not only in his clothing style but in his views and beliefs. In 2005, he told Vanity Fair that he doesn’t “want to win one of those things, ever” in reference to an Oscar, because it would mean that he was in competition with someone. Competition can be a great motivation for some, but others, only need to be in competition with themselves in order to move forward. Depp thinks competition is a negative form of motivation and refuses to enter the race. His high-self esteem does not allow him to measure his success by how heavy his trophy case is."
Tumblr media
"One of the best is his titular role in Edward Scissorhands, which was a success both for the critics and financially. He played the role of a soft, and timid creation of a scientist, and his journey towards finding real connection and love. Although the character doesn’t get to say many lines, Depp is wonderfully successful in communicating his feelings, aspirations, and deepest needs for acceptance. This performance is just another reason why there should be a golden statuette in Depp’s hand by now.
He played The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland with equal ease; with that amount of makeup on their face, only a handful of actors could pull off a fictional tea party quite as Depp did. He has also performed incredibly well in movies like Donnie Brasco, Finding Neverland, Ed Wood, and Black Mass.
Depp's fans might be outraged by this apparent lack of recognition, however, one must always hope that his Oscar is only being saved up for his next performance."
