It occurred to me semi-recently that when I was a kid watching/reading Spy vs Spy that I figured those pointy nosed bastards were in love with one another and that shaped all my ship dynamics for the rest of my life.

these two. have a similar thing going on in regards to having their lives pulled out from under them and having to adapt in ways which often go against their morals to go great lengths to save what they love. both on a journey for vengeance, corvo to avenge the love of his life and save his daughter, and kurapika to recover the eyes of his slain clan. both could destroy themselves in their respective quests, disconnected from what they once were. have they changed for the better? or for worse?

siiiiiigh i can't focus on any pre-existing projects so i am once again starting a mini scene

gonna have to make another group fic for these like the prompt bag of mystery, since they're not prompts. or maybe make a series instead like thegrumblingirl does. dishonored needs more shortform fic and i shouldn't feel shame for shit that's like, half a page long

anyway i'm on smooch duty so that's the kind of content i'm working up to (they are SO BAD ABOUT IT as in not necessarily bad at kissing but bad at. dealing with the fact they have kissed. corvo too in the moment. daud too stressed about later. weirdly enough now that i think about it i could imagine it the other way around as well. gonna do that at some point. god imagine daud just enjoying himself because eh it's not like this is going to have a lasting impact on his life and decisions right.

thinking about that one 1930s something no powers au fic where Daud is still a gang leader but he's cheeky, arrogant and (occasionally) charming aka killing the Empress didn't happen (but killing Corvo's lover still did) and plague isn't a thing

like ugh I'm so in love with that concept. Daud but the consequences of his actions didn't catch with him yet.

maybe it captivates me just bc we didn't get to see him like that in canon at all. Daud is tired confused and lowkey crushed by canon events by the time we get to see him close
