Pre-Disclosure of HSV2 PT.2

I am on the verge of disclosing to my new partner tomorrow. I was doing some reflecting today and I noticed that for the last couple of days, I have been looking for things to push my new partner away with before this talk happens.

I am afraid of two things. The first is that I could get rejected, which would really suck because I do really like him. But the second thing is that I am afraid of him accepting my status. I've really wanted to be a victim throughout this entire process and if he accepts me, I can't be. It would mean that I would have to accept that good things will still happen for me in spite of my status.

It's totally human and normal to want to run and hide. But we have to fight that human urge to get closer to what we want. Let's say that this relationship does work out, we're going to have an extremely strong foundation however, if I run and hide, I would never know what could have happened.

Pre-Disclosure of HSV2 to a New Partner

I recently started dating someone new. Literally about a month ago. We are both really into each other and enjoy spending time together. We’re at the point where we both want to have sex with one another. We decided to get tested. When I got tested, I discovered I have HSV2(genital herpes). And this week we are finally meeting up. Any incursion of AI into the museum-space worries me deeply even though AI can't do my jobs within the field...for now. If we don't stand up for those first affected, we will all fall eventually, I feel. Even nonprofits aren't immune to cost-cutting measures, especially those that run on a shoestring budget as most of our orgs do.

Sorry for not posting a ton lately, I have been................. playing fire emblem three houses.............. busy............ Also I've been feeling a little burned out on art, admitedly. Don't worry, it's very much temporary! Last month was just pretty high tempo for me, expecially with the Cell Talk comic, so I just needed to take a short break from drawing to also play fire emblem but I'm getting back into an art-mood now! I decided to draw humanified turtles as a bit of a warm up basically, I've been wanting to do it for quite some time so it was just a fun little thing for me :]

Anyway, some thoughts about the designs-

A lot of people draw Leo as blonde, and I was fully intending to draw him blonde as well, but then I just wanted to see what he'd look like with brown hair instead and I just.... liked that a bit more, so he's a brunette now. Also he has dimples because of course he has dimples. And Mikey has freckles because OF COURSE he has freckles! And Donnie ALSO has freckles because he's my blorbo and I give all my blorbos freckles cuz they're neat. All of them have pretty small eyebrows except for Donnie because he fills them in with makeup. I thought for a while of how I would translate Leo's facial markings into his human design, and I ended up settling for birthmarks (also some red eyeliner cuz his face needs a bit of red on it)
