In 1979, director Ridley Scott introduced Alien, a sci-fi horror masterpiece that has captivated audiences for generations. Scott's vision continued to shape the franchise with the prequels Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. Now, a new chapter unfolds with "Alien: Romulus."
Although Scott didn't direct this latest installment—he's a producer—his influence is undeniable. Co-Writer and director Fede Alvarez highlights Scott's invaluable guidance and support throughout the creative process.
Alien: Romulus is now playing in theaters.

AI SCI-FI FILM TREATMENT STUDY IN MIDJOURNEY
Fusing the futuristic elements of sci-fi with the dark world of Neo-noir, this project harnesses the spirit of Ridley Scott's visionary filmmaking and the evocative nature of Orwellian literature. Exploring questions about society, identity, and morality, I dove in to Midjourney to bring forth a story that challenges conventions and invites audiences to reflect on the delicate balance between technology and humanity. In a world where we can no longer tell human from AI, mystery and suspense thrive. Who can you trust? How can you tell the real from the synthetic?
Building a believable fantasy world must be grounded in truth and practicality. The stark truth of our carbon footprint on nature, intertwined with the unsettling pace of unethical technological advancement serve as a north star to create a realistic portrayal of our world in the not-so-distant future. Atmosphere, weather, humidity, precipitation and perspiration bring smell and taste to breathe life into an emotional boiling city of humans and cybernetic organisms.

I was here thinking and the conclusion is: Dennis Villeneuve would be a great director if Blindsight was ever adapted into a movie.
I think he handles the weird and mysterious really well (Arrival, Enemy), he handles lonely characters really well too (BR2049, especially, but not only), and his handling of violence is very classy (Prisoners, SIcario), just as (I think) it would be perfect for Blindsight.
Or, we could also bring Tarkovsky back to life. That would work too.

every single tony scott movie is queer coded. i don't think every action 80s movie is, and i actually don't think rambo is that gay. commando is pretty gay, that is not a new take. as far as queer coded villains go, mark l. lester, who directed it, has spoken openly on it. the lethal weapons movies were written by shane black, who some people (me, for the first time right now) have described as "only ever making homoerotic christmas movies". beverly hills cop 2 was directed by tony scott. the issue isn't top gun having a normie amount of male gaze mistakenable for gay longing, it's people not drawing gay erotic beverly hills cop fanart. so we agree on that.
