Dinner For Ava

My girl treated me to a splendid day of mesmerising geothermal walks, taking the waters and being pampered at two different spas and a delicious dinner, her anniversary gift for me, and how I loved it! (Mine to her, was a sunset dinner cruise on a sailboat in Auckland; which she loved!) But my love language remains food, I think. Cooking (and mixing cocktails) for people who are dear to me brings me even more joy than when I'm "only" cooking for myself. Bea used to be a morning person, adhering to the convent's bedtimes and early dawn training sessions. In Switserland, she tries to cling to this rhythm, wake up at 6AM for a morning run and return to find Ava still out cold.

But her hours at the bar gradually start to catch up with her and she sleeps through her alarm once, then twice (Ava is insufferable about it for a week), until once, she rouses just as Ava starts to stir, rays of sunlight framing her face, and they float towards consciousness together, spend 15 lazy minutes in bed, chatting in rough voices, before Ava crawls out to make tea. And Bea never sets an alarm again.

wow I have no idea why I didn't see this until now, my mind just jumped over it. thank you! I can gladly talk about writing :)

I'm quite sure it's noticeable for those who've followed and read my work for a while, but poetry is something that inspires me incredibly when writing. I'll grab whatever emotion I get from that piece, wether it's ache or mourning or joy and splatter it into my own writing. (this also means, at times, fuck writing rules, they don't exist for the time being) because that's when I'm having the most fun.

I have so many headcanons scattered in my brain... mostly small stuff like; how I'm imagining beatrice cutting her hair short when she truly allows herself to explore her own style. her also getting divinum tattoos when ava is gone as a remembrance, to always have her close - and when ava comes back, reveling in how everything glows. ava giggling into kisses and finding it cute how bea scrunches her nose when she smiles. her mapping out bea's freckles when she's not able to sleep and bea bringing her closer subconsciously to use ava as a makeshift heater (because of the halo)... and practically all of this is tied to switzerland.
