One such invention that is altering the financial environment in Africa is mobile money. Traditional banking services are inaccessible to many Africans. Millions of formerly unbanked people now have access to financial services, boosting the economy and lowering poverty.

I want to rebel against modern technology, and the world that's become so dependent on it.
I want physical books on actual paper. I want my movies on DVDs and games on cartridges and music on vinyls. I want physical calendars and notes filling desk drawers and polaroid cameras and postcards from holidays.
I want to get a flip phone that doesn't have social media on it. I want a typewriter and an oil lamp and one of those old radios where you have to find the channel by turning that valve thingy.
Actually, I don't even want a flip phone. I want a landline, with one of those things you have to rotate to select the number. I want to send letters in the mail instead of text messages. I don't want to be immediately reachable at any given moment. If it's urgent you can send me a telegram.
I want the manual way of doing things. I want the physical effort it takes to get something done when you have to get up and do it by hand.
I want to feel things. I want to touch things and be able to break things. I want to own things and not just liscences and subscriptions. I want real.
I hate the convenience of having everything I could want available on my phone. Bring back newspapers and thesauruses filling the bottom shelves. Bring back paper maps and tourist pamphlets and lighters in concerts. Bring back doing things yourself and enjoying the moment without having to record it.
Give me struggle and effort and the satisfaction of knowing I did something.
My sister calls me a grandma, which I think is entirely unwarranted.
