And also Roman! my oc who used to go to like elementary and middle school or something with Cynthia, both are confused and shit about the other's choice in men

dex Hamilton alien entomologist fans be like: yes this is my favourite show from 2008 where you can't really watch it anywhere legally bc it gets banished off the face of the earth every 3 years, yes it ends on the weirdest ending of any show ever, yes the MC and the villain are the most homoerotic ass autism couple ever, yes tung is super annoying, and yes it is literally almost impossible to watch the full show + movie specials. but it is singlehandedly the best one off kids show ever.

yes this is the show, and yes, no one knows where the fuck to watch it at any given time

A project Ive been working on during class, a cross stitch I did for my friend @cloverhatsandflowercrowns !! We both watched Dex Hamilton (her definitely more so than I) so when I found out she knew this show (and I learned how to make my own patterns) I had to make her a little Dex something. He’s just such a silly goofy guy who studies bugs along with his ragtag found family of dangerous experiments (and an unwanted exchange student). What more could you want?

This took me between 135-180 hours to finish and it’s about 13x13 in length (I think). The color red is forever embedded into my eyes.

Based on your fandom questions post, what is the movie/show/etc. that first taught you fandom existed?

Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist. I LOVED it as a kid and was desperately trying to find if it had a second season. Someone had titled their fic 'Dex Hamilton season 2' and I thought it was a leaked script XD

I love love love that Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist has not one, not two, but three characters who are misanthropic hermits who like bugs better than people, who call themselves entomologists but can't possibly be real scientists because they never engage with the scientific community or contribute anything to the body of knowledge about insects, they just hang out on an uninhabited planet and surround themselves with bugs in lieu of human contact.

i also love that those characters are the main character's antagonist, father, and love interest, respectively
