The Magicians #302 “Heroes and Morons”

Eliot embarks on a voyage to recover the first of the Seven Keys in Fillory while back on Earth our heroes search for Mayakovsky's batteries.

The gang investigates a magical bear that appeared in the Cobalt Cabaret.

On a construction site in the parking lot at 275 West 5th Avenue, a worker is taken over by a strange creature.

Quentin returns to Emily’s apartment in the Koret Building and asks her about the incident at the bar.

Eliot meets his new boat at the dock in Caulfield Park and then sets off on his quest to the outer islands.

The gang plans their next move behind 401 West Georgia.

Josh and Kady question a kid in the Crease Clinic at Riverview Hospital about the dinosaur that appeared.

Meanwhile, Julia and Quentin head to Devonian Harbour Park to find out who caused all of the lusty people and they run into Alice.

Eliot’s quest takes him to Minaty Bay where he finds a man using the first key to hold off a terrifying monster.

The gang tracks Professor Lipson to the Canada Post building and Quentin tries to talk her down from committing suicide.

Alice’s cat explodes in the Crease Clinic after Lipson is checked into the psychiatric hospital.

The Muntjac is sailing through Pitt Lake when Fray confronts Eliot about his true intentions for this mission.

Quentin is walking along outside the Crease Clinic when he notices a second chapter in the book and is attacked by the infected construction worker.

I still need to identify the house where Alice buys the cat and the alley behind Kady’s work.

“Little Princess by the Harbour” Enhanced Photography Artwork

This shot is from Devonian Harbour Park as I was roaming Vancouver, Canada.  The second image I’ve included here is the initial photo that I took and, as you’ll see, it was a much larger scaled landscape shot.  I’ve included it here because I wanted you to see, as this is a common path with my work, that I often will find the artwork within a much larger scale of a photograph that I captured.  I knew, once I analyzed the photo, when I saw the young lady by the water....that was the artwork....that was the story.

There is a wonderful innocence to youth and this artwork captures the beauty of just how special that time in one’s life is but it’s radiated here in a very peaceful and calm way.  The softness of the colors within the artwork create an eloquence where it seems as if you are looking back at a fond memory of your past.  Time goes by but memories live on....such is the case of childhood.  Innocence lost but never forgotten.

Everyone was dressed head-to-toe in their best summer whites—although much tan, beige, and silver colours were spotted—as guests celebrated the sixth annual edition of Dîner en Blanc Vancouver's outdoor dinner party well into night.

The Magicians #205 “Cheat Day”

In this week’s episode of The Magicians, Quentin starts his new life without magic, Penny goes searching for a fix for his hands, Eliot & Margo deal with an assassination attempt, and Julia discovers another horrible complication caused by Reynard.

Quentin is working a mundane job that Dean Fogg got him at 2415 Columbia Street where he meets Emily Greenstreet, another former Brakebills student.

Quentin goes out to lunch with Emily at the now defunct Incendio Pizzaria and they complain about magic.

Emily and Quentin go out walking and drinking through Devonian Harbour Park near downtown.

They end up at Emily’s apartment in the Koret Building at Cordova & Columbia where they use some illusion magic to questionable ends.

Quentin is walking home when he spots Alice standing across the street on West 1st Avenue east of Columbia.

I still need to identify the medical clinic.

“A Glorious View” Enhanced Photography Artwork

You are looking at a landscape view from Devonian Harbour Park in Vancouver, Canada.  I love this shot.  So many different shades of Fall are brought to light here as this was taken during an October visit.  

I love the presence of red in the artwork with it’s very definitive approach on the left side that becomes a much more subtle appearance as you move to the right side of the artwork.  The log in the forefront gives a really cool rustic touch to the scenery.

God is the first Artist of all of us and he certainly knows how to use color to his advantage.  A Glorious View Indeed.

“Vancouver Boat House” Enhanced Photography Artwork

A beautiful fall day in Vancouver, Canada.  A boat community atmosphere like you see here is quite a norm to the Vancouver universe with it being a harbor town.

I came across this scene while roaming Devonian Harbour Park.  The colors of Fall are in full bloom as showcased by the incredible nature that surrounds the Bay.  A perfect day for a boat ride indeed.
