Okay, so, I have NO IDEA if you’re taking requests or not BUT some Opera with Kalego’s Lady-Love when they were in Babylis leaving a FUMING WITH RAGE AND JEALOUS Kalego
So, this has been in my inbox forever and I apologize. Also, I do not know how this will turn out. As you know, Demon!reader is a new attempt for me, but *cracks knuckles* lets do this.
Obviously set during Kalego, Opera, and Shichiro's school years.
----
True to Shichiro's words, you found Kalego tearing through one of the training grounds of the Strength Batra. A few years ago, the place had been a disaster; but as the chaos of Babyls slowly settled, it had become usable once more.
Well, had been. Even though Opera and Shichiro were easily the strongest physically, Kalego wasn't exactly a wimp. Even without using magic, he was destroying the poles and earthen walls of the training ground with little problem.
Kalego… was a little rough around the edges, though through the few years you had known him, he was starting to control himself better. You could see hints of the adult you were sure he would become, far unlike his Uncle and current 'guard dog' of the school (which was a joke). No - he would be calm, level headed, and take his responsibility seriously. You knew Babyls would flourish under his protection, and couldn't wait to see it.
It had been a while since you had seen him erupt, and if your feeling was right, Opera was once again the cause.
After about half an hour, Kalego seemed to finish his outburst and began to correct the damage he caused. Which meant it was likely time for you to try and fix whatever chaos Opera had started.
"Kalego!" You called out as you approached, watching him freeze for a short moment before looking up. You weren't sure if his flushed cheeks were from his previous activities - being caught red handed - or something else. "I wanted to talk to you for a moment."
"Hm?" He growled as he continued his work, almost pointedly trying to ignore you. And failing.
And, well, you didn't exactly like being ignored, so you decided to jump to the main reason you were here.
"Shichiro said you saw Opera and me," You stated, and saw him freeze yet again. "And I wanted to explain."
"You don't have anything to explain," He bit out. "If you really like that psychopath, then obviously I don't know you as well as I thought."
Yep. He was certainly jealous. Your stomach twisted with both nerves and excitement at the realization. "I do like that psychopath, but not in the way you think."
"They kissed you." Kalego finally turned and faced you, his dark eyes narrowed in a glare, but unable to hide the watery gleam to them. "You had your arms wrapped around their waist."
"They kissed my forehead," You pointed out. "And I was hugging them. Its what siblings do."
Kalego opened his mouth, and then promptly closed it, confusion evident on his face. "Siblings?"
"Not by blood," You acknowledged. "Lets just say we both had a hard start to life, and, well, we formed an alliance before Lord Sullivan found us. We were the only family we knew."
His expression softened, though there was still distrust evident. "We've known each other for years, why not say anything before now?"
You shrugged. "It never came up. And besides, would you let anyone know your weakness in this place before we started cleaning it up?"
"... I guess not," He agreed after a moment, a pout on his face.
Anger: diffused. Now time to tackle the next issue. The one that had your heart fluttering in your chest.
"Now," You started as you stepped closer, biting your lip as you carefully watched his expression. Startled, wary of your approach. But just a hint of something else. Hope? Maybe… Desire?
Devi, you were hoping.
"Do you want to tell me why you were so upset by that?" You played the tactics you learned from Seduction class, fiddling with the collar of his uniform as you stepped inside his personal space. Meet his gaze softly, slowly run your tongue over your lips.
And you had a blushing mess of a demon in your hands. It was easy to tell he had completely forgotten your question, his gaze trapped with yours. You could have ended it there, pulling him down for a kiss.
But, well, you could see the appeal in taunting Kalego - though in a much different way than Opera.
You also had dreamt of him kissing you first. And while you knew it was a silly thing, you wanted to see if you could make that dream a reality.
"Because, if you wanted to kiss me, all you have to do is ask-"
He didn't even let you finish, his lips pressing against yours hungrily, his hands gripping at your waist as he pulled you closer. There was a brief moment of mentally cheering in your mind before you tangled your fingers in his hair and lost yourself in the kiss.

“It was a ritual with us to visit the Mansa Devi temple and Gurudwara Sri Nada Sahib, and on one such visit to the temple while doing a ‘parikrama, he was walking behind me. On completing the ‘parikrama', he suddenly said, "Congratulations Mrs. Batra." I swirled around to see him holding one end of my dupatta and he gave me the most beautiful smile and said, "Didn't you realize that this is the fourth time that we are doing this parikrama?" Needless to say, it left me totally speechless. That was the level of dedication he had towards our relationship.”

Shilpi Batra Adwani with Bagodai Babai, a Pashtun Hindu migrant seen here in a restored Kakari kameez. The heavily embroidered garment traditionally had coins sewn into the bodice to indicate wealth and status.
The former Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, meeting the community members.
The women are part of a community of Pushtun Hindus that lived in the Baloch areas of Quetta, Loralai, Bori and Maikhter, and belong to the Kakari tribes still living there.
Tattooed ‘blue-skinned’ Hindu Pushtuns look back at their roots
by Suhasini Haidar
As they walk through the corridors of the exhibition, looking at photographs of themselves in traditional clothes, the women begin to sing first. At first, the tune is tentative. Then, as more and more join in, it becomes a roaring chorus, and they clap to words of the song, ‘Sheen Khalai’, and dance the ‘Attan’ folk dance in the way they were taught seven decades ago. ‘Sheen Khalai’ (blue skin) is not just a name for these women and men, many of them well over 90 years old, it is the story of their identity, one that brings forth tears even today. They fled with their families from the tribal areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan during the Partition in 1947.
The women are part of a community of Pushtun Hindus that lived in the Baloch areas of Quetta, Loralai, Bori and Maikhter, and belong to the Kakari tribes still living there. 1947 was a second partition for their villages, as the British-imposed Durand Line in 1893 had already given their villages to Pakistan, despite the people’s Pushtun lineage.
In 1947, they were forced out of their homes overnight. “The government told us to leave quickly and go to India. We didn’t even look back at our homes, just ran,” says Lakshmi Devi, who can’t remember her age now, but says she was a teenager then. Like many other Hindu families from Sindh and Balochistan, Lakshmi Devi, her father and siblings were sent to resettle in the village of Unniara in Rajasthan, about 130 km south of Jaipur. But once they reached, they realised that while being Hindu brought them shelter, it didn’t bring them acceptance, given their ‘Sheen Khalai’.
“It was their blue skin, the colour of the face tattoos that women in tribal areas have, that set them apart from their neighbours, and even from the Hindu women of Pakistan,” explains Shilpi Batra Advani, a documentary filmmaker from a Pushtun Hindu family. Ms. Advani is completing a film on the Sheen Khalai. “My own grandmother started to cover her face, and was shy around outsiders, because she feared being shunned for the tribal tattoos that were looked down upon,” she adds.
Some had trouble renting a home, others were viewed with suspicion by neighbours. “We tried to scrub and scrub, but the tattoos wouldn’t fade away,” says 103- year old Pyari Devi in Ms. Advani’s film. As a result, most found it easier to assimilate as Pakistani-Hindu women not as Pushtuns, dressed in saris and salwar suits, and spoke the local language publicly while teaching their children Pashto.
In her quest for information about their past, Shilpi Advani, with her mother Yashoda’s help, began work on the film about the roughly 500-600 Hindu Pushtun community members in India. She interviewed elders for their memories, and coaxed women into pulling out old traditional tribal clothes from the bottom of their suitcases, like the ‘kakari kameez’ they would have worn in their villages. Most were frayed at the edges, but still rich with embroidery, mirror work and colourful tassels, which Ms. Advani restored.
During the course of her research, Ms. Advani spent a year and a half in Kabul and spoke to journalists about her family’s villages in Balochistan across the line. One day, she received a video over a social media site: it was an interview with an old villager in Balochistan’s Maikhter who remembered his neighbour Prakash and his two daughters had left for India one hurried night. The name rang a bell and Ms. Advani traced back the family in Rajasthan for her film. The audience watching the interviews claps with joy at a glimpse of the village.
But the biggest joy comes from a special visitor who inaugurates the exhibition and speaks to them: former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai. Ms. Advani reached out to him in Kabul five years ago. “Hearing women singing these old songs is a very special experience. This was them asserting their identity, asserting that no force, or separation or partition can destroy this,” Mr. Karzai told The Hindu.
...
Ms. Advani says her project is for the official recognition of her community. “This is about validation, about giving us a name after all these years of hiding our identity,” she explains.
One by one, the women and men of the Pushtun Hindu community step up to tell their stories, of how they preserved their heritage despite all the odds. “We have changed our clothes (pahnava),” nonagenarian Shanti Devi says in fluent Pashto. “But our hearts and tongues remain Pushtun.”
“We have always wondered what we are, since no one owned us,” says Leelaram, who is in his late eighties. “Are we Afghan, or Pakistani or Indian or Hindu or Pushtun?” he asks, and then to answer his own question, he adds, “Today, we have become Pushtuns again.” They all cheer and break into another song, a happy wedding song about ‘beautiful Laila’ that they learnt when they were very young.
Here, just for this moment in the aptly named Frontier Colony in Jaipur, borders have blended, the subcontinent is not so divided and history is not so unkind to this tiny community of ‘Sheen Khalai’, as they sing these words: Tora shpa da tora khun, sheenkhalai na da Maloom/ Tora Shpa ba khudai runya ki, sheenkhalai ba khudai paida ki (It's a dark night and in a dark room,/ Your Sheen Khalai has disappeared./ But the dawn will break and light will start to enter the room./ Sheen Khalai will start to glow again.)

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun ep 17
Tumblr media
I’m late... I’ve been playing an online game and there’s an event. Also reading webcomics lol. I should’ve made this days ago.
There’s not much pics this time as the net keep fluctuating and the quality would go down at times.
Tumblr media
Ameri pls. This is no time to be comparing the current situation to manga. I mean what kind of person would think like this while something bad is happening?
*looks at twitter and see people making jokes about the volcano, kidnapping and virus* Never mind.
Even still, Ameri does take her job seriously and they help out the teachers in keeping order and peace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kalego-sensei is strong enough to break the barriers albeit temporarily. The barriers fix themselves up after a few seconds but it’s enough to let him and Robin-sensei pass so they could go to the room where records are held. Kalego-sensei being who he is, is able to deduce the current situation might have something to do with the headmaster being detained and that a student of their have the barrier power and they could just look him up.
Also, they need a computer. Looking for info might have been quicker that way.
Anyways, even if Grandpa Sullivan acts terribly enough for Kalego-sensei to be annoyed with him, gramps can tell that sensei is skilled enough to be his substitute and seeing all of the stuff he can do and his thoughts in the current arc shows that. He’s pretty amazing.
Tumblr media
Robin-sensei told Kalego-sensei that this barriers might have been for some kind of surprise. While Kalego-sensei knew it was very unlikely, it did give him an idea of how to calm the students down: by telling them this is an event.
The barriers aren’t all connected to become a box except for the one surrounding the entire school so there are gaps that could let them pass to get to another area. Like a maze. So they turned it into a game wherein the students have to get to the central plaza.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, that’s Kiriwo-senpai’s actual plan.
The machine Iruma helped fix is actually a destructive weapon as well and the time has come for it to be in use.
Tumblr media
Despite being separated by glass, the trio is still able to devise a plan on how to help stop whatever it is that’s happening. Iruma remembers Kiriwo-senpai’s ability and also the secret room. Clara used her powers to recreate the little paper-like dolls she saw another batra create and Azz uses his powers to command the little things to find where the barriers are and where the gaps could be found. He also made this map (he remembers cause it’s in the handbook. It’s amazing and also he’s really studious... who would have enough time to memorize this?).
All those and using a phone, they’re able to guide Iruma from the other side of the wall so he could get to senpai’s location.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the main battle would begin, I assume. Can’t wait til the next episode!
--
By the way, there were stuff I was unable to screencap as I said before. Like one of the teacher’s outside the school using her frogs to confirm there’s no way out and all. There are other moments but I am disappointed I wasn’t able to screencap another ‘devi-gay’ moment (as the yt chat calls it) wherein Ameri saved Eiko from getting hurt. If you guys remember Eiko, she’s the girl Iruma saved in the first episode who seem to have gotten a crush on him due to that. Guess what she feels about Ameri after the current incident? lol
Til next week!

East Indian Names
It’s Zoe with another list of names! This time, East Indian names!
Here are a few things to note about French naming traditions:
The first name is the name they go by in their day-to-day life.
Often, East Indians are given “pet-names” - their first name turned into a cuter version that they are called as a toddler. Sometimes this pet-name will stick into adulthood.
The family name (last name) might denote a certain village or community the family is from. If it has the suffix “walla” (or a variant of this), it means their ancestors practised a certain trade.
Parents put a lot of thought into making their child’s name sound nice, and good meaning.
As always, if there are any inaccuracies in this post PLEASE let me know through a message or ask!
Any name lists you wanna see? Feel free to send in an ask!

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun ep 15
Tumblr media
Let the Batra Party commence!
I’m still feeling conflicted about last week’s episode and this episode doesn’t help lol
Tumblr media
The Batra Party is coming up soon and everyone is excited and more motivated after finding out there are prizes for the Batra that would do well. Many of said prizes could really help the Batra Iruma and the gang is in if they win so the team is working very hard!
Of course, many of the other students still think lowly of them but don’t worry, instead of making them feel down, Iruma and the others become more motivated to show them they’re wrong! I love their faces here. Like ‘Ohoho you’ll see soon enough’ kind of thing. I myself want to see it but with last week’s reveal, it may not happen at all...
Tumblr media
Senpai has a secret base filled with old stuff their batra created. Here is where the machine/weapon is located - the one needed to destroy the school come the Batra Party. He seems to be happily working on it but here’s me still hoping he’d change his mind.
Tumblr media
!!????!!?
I actually said ‘What the f*ck?! How the heck did... what are you doing here?!’ when Iruma came in. lol Like, I didn’t expect him to come here as it’s supposed to be a secret.
Tumblr media
Iruma explains that he was looking for senpai and the ring reacted and dragged him to where his senpai is. Instead of shooing him out, senpai just shows Iruma around. This room is apparently where old, forbidden-back-in-the-day inventions of their batra are stored.
Tumblr media
He also shows Iruma that they’re high up enough to see the area where everyone would be after the first day is done (and where the attack is gonna happen but of course, he doesn’t tell him that part). The room is also sound-proof. (the youtube chat started making some jokes implying that something could happen if you know what I mean *wink*)
Okay, back to the story, senpai likes looking out here to remember why he’s working hard on their batra as he wants to see a time wherein everyone is equal whether or not they have strong magical abilities.
Tumblr media
Also they see this scene below where Robin-sensei bothers Kalego-sensei and gives him a funny nickname. I dunno if Robin-sensei is just an idiot or something cause after Kalego-sensei showed how strict and scary he could be the first time they met, I thought he’d end up being scared or wary of the guy but no... Robin-sensei just can’t seem to stop trying to befriend and mess with the latter. I’m so close to shipping them, not gonna lie. I mean, the whole ‘Scary Serious character x Genki and Friendly character’ couple type is cute and I have other ships like that anyways.
Tumblr media
(At this point, the chat box on youtube is just spammed with the word ‘gay’ and someone even wrote ‘Devi-gay’. Plus points to that guy. Although I ship Iruma with Azz,, if Kiriwo-senpai does becomes nice later on, Iruma can have the batra as his harem. lol)
Back in the room, Iruma proposes that they try and win the prizes to help the club and themselves (What? What kind of thing did you think about when I said ‘proposed’?) and that others looking down on them is a bigger reason they have to work hard to prove them that the Magical Tool Batra isn’t as bad as they thought.
At this point I was hoping senpai is thinking off not going through his plan... even a little. Even just a little...
Tumblr media
Iruma’s words though, struck something inside senpai and we get this very brief flashback. Oooh... who’s that? What interesting backstory does senpai have and what does it have to do with trying to destroy Babyls? I hope the anime gets far enough to show us cause I wanna know (no spoilers pls. I don’t read the manga).
Tumblr media
Alright, with that, everyone is getting ready for the party the next day. Poor gramps though is still in jail. I hope he gets this sorted out before the Batra Party starts cause Iruma is looking forward to him being there. We’ll also finally meet Sabnock’s little sister and Azz’s mother (who he isn’t excited to see). What will happen to senpai’s plan? I guess we’d find out next week!
