That's the way they became the Henford Bunch!

I put a fresh coat of paint on my legacy family! Top row, L-R: Micah, Tess, Raveena. Middle row, L-R: Obsidian, August, Lavender. Bottom row, L-R: Rowan, Naomi, Sadie.

You'll remember Micah and Naomi as the stars of The Mourningvale Files, but we're going a few years back in time. In this iteration, they're about 18, August is about 15, Sadie and Tess are about 9, and Rowan and Rav are in their early 40s. Lavender is an elder dog, and Obsidian is an immortal familiar cat! (Oh, yeah, Rowan is a spellcaster.) They live on a farm in Henford-on-Bagley with their cow, llama, chickens, newly acquired mini goat and sheep, and a big fruit and vegetable garden - although Micah has recently moved into her dorm at University of Britechester and Naomi has been crashing on various sofas across Moonwood Mill. August is a socially awkward loner who's in his freshman year of high school but would rather be hanging out in the barnyard with his animal friends.

There's still a lot to prepare before diving in, so this isn't exactly an official story announcement, just more of a reintroduction to the family. We'll be focusing on August as he navigates the growing pains of adolescence - some expected and some very much not. I look forward to discovering more about his story as I plan!
