Sometimes I think about how at Denver Fan Expo a few years ago I met some girl dressed as Dipper Pines with a big Yakko Warner plushy at a Pinky and the Brain panel.
I wonder where she is now. I hope she's doing alright.

Content writing project: MoneyGeek
From November 2021 to April 2023, I worked with MoneyGeek, a U.S.-based personal finance company and wrote more than 100 articles about housing, loans, credit cards, and insurance.
If you want to avoid clicking away, I've copied a segment from an article I've written:
What Is a First-Time Homebuyer Program & How Can It Help?
Before you even purchase a home, it’s wise to look at the expenses you need to anticipate. One of the largest costs you need to consider is your mortgage down payment.
A mortgage down payment is an important aspect of the homebuying process, especially since it can affect your monthly expenses. For example, having a higher down payment upfront can lower your monthly payments since you’ll pay less interest.
The down payment is usually 20% of your home’s total cost, which can be a bit expensive for some. Hence, homebuyer assistance programs are worth looking into if you need a more affordable rate.
Generally, there are zero-down-payment programs (USDA and VA loans) and low-down-payment programs (conventional, FHA and FHA 203(k) loans). Alaska has several statewide loan programs, including the Closing Cost Assistance loan program.
While there are many options, the best homebuyer program for you depends on your financial background and needs. For example, a government-backed loan doesn’t typically require homebuyers to have a down payment.

International Performance Artist
Tumblr media
For the international Performance Artist, I have chosen the BREAKFAST studio. Although it is not a singular artist, BREAKFAST studio was established by Andrew Zolty who is well renowned kinetic artist in Brooklyn.
About the Artist/Studio:
BREAKFAST is a studio that was established in 2009.
Zolty have spent the past two decades in exploring the complex intersection of technology, design, and the arts.
Breakfast was created to be dedicated in producing computer-controlled, kinetic artworks that would challenge the conventions of art.
There are more than 250 kinetic sculptures by BREAKFAST that are currently displayed in some of the world's most esteemed collections.

Cedar Point Reeds -Executed in 2021
Cedar Point Reeds
Out of the hundreds of Artwork that was created by BREAKFAST, I will be focusing on the Cedar Point Reeds. Many of their work have been inspired by nature and climate change. Thus, one of their notable artworks is the Cedar Point Reeds where their aim was to produce a piece of art that not only told a significant story but also captivated onlookers.
The Cedar Point Reeds sculpture was made to visualise the wind and wind energy production that occur at the 252-megawatt Cedar Point Wind Farm that is east of Denver, CO.; far from where the kinetic sculpture resides. To mimic the movement of real reeds, the sculpture updates itself every minute to reflect the current wind values by collecting the most recent wind data from the internet and by using a silent stepper motor, they are able to make the moving elements run smoother and without a noise. Without the machine being heard within the sculpture, it allows viewers to feel as though the sculpture is light and flowy even though it is made from heavy mechanisms. The sculpture not only moves but also illuminates a glow of LEDs to represent the power that the wind generates.
Aside from this artwork being a form of data visualisation, it also has a feature where people can interact with the sculpture. As a person comes closer or walks around it, the reeds will gather and illuminate at the area of the person and move alongside them. This is to represent how each individual partakes into the bigger story of achieving a better future for clean energy.

How does New Media Tech. enhance stage performance concepts?
The concept of stage performance is now not limited to only people; as technology and machines are able to take place in the spotlight, allowing it to give a performance and interact with the audience. Having new media in stage performance gives an opportunity to express more possibilities that could enhance the narrative the artist wants to convey to the audience.
New Media: How It Can Innovative In The Future?
Using new media as a medium can become a powerful tool and bring a new level of creative expression into conveying emotions and narratives within their artwork. Having new media allows for the manipulation of variables to create dynamic and immersive experiences for the audience.
BREAKFAST have used kinetic sculpture with a twist of having audience engagement to create a narrative of their artwork. Although it is a kinetic sculpture, having that engagement of the audience and the details behind how the sculpture moves leans into the concept of media art in my opinion. Not only is it captivating, but it is engaging and a form of data visualisation which gives all the more meaning behind such sculpture.

In my mid-season blog on the Buffalo Bills' 2023 NFL season I expressed concerns about the team's recent performances, drawing comparisons to the struggles and resolution of the 2021 season. The issues with injuries, offensive instability, and the team's inability to adapt during games. We are now 5-5 with seven games remaining on the schedule. Where at least three of them we will at least be favored to lose in. ‘BillsMafia,’ has been feeling frustrated and emotionally drained pretty much since the Jacksonville game in London. The call for simplicity, variety and more tempo in the offensive approach, emphasizing the utilization of key players like Diggs, Davis, and Cook has not been heard or heard and not properly executed. Protecting quarterback Josh Allen and improving special teams are as crucial but again, no real improvements have been made on the field. Most still BILLieve the Bills still have a chance to turn the season around. With a very hard schedule ahead, focusing on the immediate goals getting our offense scary again, winning games and cautions against prematurely thinking about the playoffs. It’s unlikely we will be there unless we win all three of our division games and at least one or two more wins pending on what the other teams do. There’s hope that the Bills can make a playoff push despite the challenges they currently face.
There is hope but it isn’t a real expectation either.
Buffalo Bills Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey was fired November 6th, 2023, a morning after another crushing Bills lost on Monday Night Football to the Denver Broncos, a move that hits quarterback Josh Allen personally, given their working relationship since 2019. Dorsey, who initially served as the team's quarterbacks coach, became the offensive coordinator in January 2022 at Allen's request, with the departure of Brian Daboll to the New York Giants Head Coaching position. The Bills had a chance to win against the Broncos, but a penalty for having twelve men on the field, another situational football issue, negated a missed field goal, leading to Denver's last-minute victory. Head Coach Sean McDermott attributes the decision to part ways with Dorsey to the overall performance of the season. Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady has been named interim offensive coordinator. The Bills' offense has fallen below expectations this season, showing signs of predictability since Week 5. This is something many experts and non-experts alike have pointed out about the 2023 Buffalo Bills offense. With a 2-4 record during this stretch, the team's average points per game has dropped significantly. Turnovers per game have increased, and slow starts have been a recurring issue.
The Buffalo Bills can still spoil the division if we win our division games and get some help, but what's the point? We host any of those other teams coming up in a wild card game, the only way we can get in now as a wild card division winner, only to show we still cannot play situational football. I have a laundry list of examples of why the BUFFALO BILLS are the worst situational football team, probably in the history of the league. There are plenty from the last four seasons, now five seasons, to show that statement to be true, including this season. We learned nothing from the Houston wild card game going on four years ago now. Learned nothing from Arizona. Learned nothing at Kansas City. Learned nothing vs Minnesota, NYJ, MIA and all those other games where conventional logic would say we should win the game, leading, with moments left. Where McDermott says we are sound and has been sticking to that since the Houston wild card loss and the evidence that shows that Coach is 111% wrong with that assessment. I think if he just came clean with that the Bills might be able to move forward but I don’t know now. A lot of the comments from ‘BillMafia’ on all the platforms are not that far off. Can we regroup this year for a push? Sure, it’s possible, but a lot of things in this reality are merely possible. Are they practical? Are they probable? I seriously doubt that. We have not seen anything to give us that assessment. So I guess the Buffalo Bills will make more excuses, dodge questions that should have been answered three or four years ago and just see if we are playing for pride at this point or actual jobs are now on the line. The other response is we win the division, limp into the playoffs, mysteriously get healthy and go on a run that will be talked bout for decades to come.
McDermott did a fine job of answering questions at the Monday Night Football press conference this time but hiring/firing assistant coaches isn’t going to fix anything. There are bigger problems than it just being Dorsey or the Special Teams. Now is this a step in the right direction. We will have to tune in and find out. We are home against the New York JETS.  Terrible offensive line, but a playoff ready defense. It will be a very good test of this teams resolve. We can say that firing Dorsey is the first step of getting things right or we can also say this is the first leg in the chain of replacing personnel till only the last one accountable has to go. If the Bills completely tank out the rest of the year McDermott might be gone. I am not saying it’s right and a losing season will get him fired but having a good team and still stinking, that’s a culture problem, not a player personnel issue. We have the players. This team, last years team should have been a whole lot stiffer. Stuff did happen last year that shook a lot of football players and fans alike. Now, though, we just can’t say injuries are the problem, cause they are on the defensive side of the ball. We have fifth and sixth stringers playing on defense and they are keeping us in games. The defense is just too tired and beat up to have them be expected to close a game out at the end. We have too many weak spots for a one drive, all in or nothing, sort of thing. They have failed us a few times this year trying that under these circumstances and the Giants game was lucky, that should have been against us as well. It’s like the team’s brain shuts off at the end of these games and no one seems to know what they are supposed to do when they are supposed to do it. Another example, on Monday Night of twelve men being on the field. One guy jumping up and down instead of counting players on the field. Just stuff like that. This isn’t one instance either. We’ve been botching this stuff for nearly 4-5 seasons now. But hey... FK it... There is always next year but that window is now on the back end of time over looking forward. I still BILLieve the Bills can muster a comeback but if they do, how far can they go even hosting a wild card game? At this point it isn’t insane to feel the Bills might end the season 8-9 or worse. Even 9-8 doesn’t do anything. Another home playoff loss likely. First we gotta beat the “Goddamn JETS…”
They have had our number a little bit the last two or three seasons. We can beat them but they can also beat us and have. I like the idea of new juice calling the plays but against the JETS it’s a very stiff test. However, if we muster a win things can still happen. What if we win the game 35-3, where the defense didn’t give us points from turnovers or anything? Our offense just goes out there and puts on a “new pretty hot” show on turf, maybe not the greatest but still a good show. The media be changing their takes pretty quickly. Especially if we rip off some wins against teams right now that we probably shouldn’t beat after losing to New England and Denver. Right now, no one is now scared to play us. The JETS think we are just gonna lay the FK down and not fight. Cool… Keep thinking that. Seven games left. We win our division games and the Dolphins crash and burn again toward the end we are playing at least one home game in the Wild Card Game and then anything can happen. It has happened before and it will happen again.
I say, why not us. I say it every damn time I play a scratch off ticket. Why Not Me?
So… 2023 Buffalo Bills… Why not us… Why Not Us… WHY NOT US… Go Bills…
“Fight on my men,” says Sir Andrew Barton, “I am hurt, but I am not slain; I’ll lay me down and bleed a-while, And then I’ll rise and fight again.” ― Thomas Moore
Made famous in recent years by Hall of Fame NFL coach Marv Levy. He read this poem to the Buffalo Bills after losing their 1st Super Bowl. As history shows. The team rallied behind these words for years and three more consecutive Super Bowl appearances to come.

1. When did you get into the hobby? Do you remember the reason?
I got into the hobby at the end of 2021. I’d been debating on purchasing my first BJD for a while, as I had been repainting Monster High dolls for a few years and wanted to “graduate” to BJD’s. I did some online research into BJD’s, came across Den of Angels, did more research there, then ended up ordering my first Minifee through Denver Doll Emporium!
2. Related, what was one of the first dolls you remember seeing? (A photo or in person)
Minifee Celine or Chloe on Pinterest. Didn’t know what the sculpt was or what they were called, but I loved how they looked and knew I wanted to get BJD’s that had their aesthetic.
3. Do you have a ‘type’ of doll you gravitate towards or do you like a bit of everything?(ie general look, size, ambience)
I generally prefer semi-realistic female dolls, such as Minifees, although I do find myself drawn to cutesy anime dolls as well like blind box tinies and Dollfie Dreams.
4. Do you like bigger or smaller dolls? How big/small is your limit?
I prefer smaller for the majority of my collection as they take up less space in my hobby room, however I recently got an SD scale girl and I really love how much easier she is to work with. Really no size limit on the small side as I have dolls down to 1/12 scale, but I don’t think I could go much bigger than a 60cm or so SD. Any larger would just be too much, IMO.
5. Do you have a favorite company? What do you like about them?
As common as this answer might be, I’d have to say Fairyland, as most of my collection was purchased from them. I really love their sculpts, the quality, and the ease of removing their heads, hands, and feet. Those magnets are really a game-changer! I do wish they had a wider variety of resin tones, though.
6. Do you have a preference for resin, vinyl or other?(ie ABS and other plastics)
Definitely prefer resin, they just feel sturdier to me. I have one vinyl girl and between her staining easily and her legs falling off all the time (curse you, DD-f3 body!), I just feel like vinyl is too fragile and high maintenance for my liking. I like that for the most part, resin is easy to clean, repaint, and overall maintain.
7. Do you still have your first doll?
I do! I have two dolls that I consider my firsts, my Minifee Rens that was the first doll I purchased, and my Withdoll Elf Egon, who was the first doll I received and had in-hand (I purchased him on the secondhand market while waiting for my Minifee pre-order to arrive).
8. Gush about your favorite doll.
Although I swore I’d never buy an SD, my favorite doll would have to be my big girl, Phoebe. She’s an adorable Feeple60 Carol with a gorgeous face up by AngelToast (who I bought the doll from secondhand!). I got a fantastic deal on her, she’s absolutely THE CUTEST, and she’s so fun to dress up and sew for because she’s so lorge. She also photographs like a DREAM and scales much better with backgrounds, especially plants and things outdoors. She was a bit of an impulse buy (I did think about her for a week or two, but still felt a little impulsive) but she is absolutely my favorite girl now. She’s the only doll I’ll actually move around the house to “hang out” with me while I do stuff.
9. Do you prefer dolls based on existing characters (official or custom), dolls based on your original characters, or dolls that are just dolls?
I do all of the above! I have fan art dolls I’ve made of characters from video games, dolls based off of my DND characters, and dolls that are essentially just dolls, but I give them names, personalities and basic backstories based on the aesthetic I’ve chosen for them.
10. Have you ever been to a doll/BJD focused convention (eg Doll’s Party, IDoll, Doll Show, Resin Rose, L Doll, Dollism, PNW BJD Expo, Melbourne BJD Emporium etc). Would you like to? Which seems most interesting to you based on what you know?
I haven’t, but it’s definitely on my bucket list of things I would love to do! I would probably go to Resin Rose or Dallas Doll Con, since they’re in the US and easiest to access for me.
11. How important is the photography side of the hobby to you? Do you enjoy photography and sharing photos or do you like to keep things to yourself?
For me, photography is a big part of the hobby. I love posing them, taking them outside or to the park for photoshoots, and taking casual pictures of them at home. I love to share them online, and find that it’s fun to look back on all the photos I’ve taken of a doll and how my taste and their looks have changed over time.
12. Have you ever traveled with a doll? Would you like to?
I have not, but I would love to bring either my Mini Dollfie Dream or my YoSD-size anime girl with me whenever I eventually get around to traveling to Japan!
13. What’s your grail doll? If you don’t have one, do you have a ‘bucket list’ hobby wish - something you really want to be able to do/make/experience one day?
My original grail was a tan Minifee Celine, but I’ve since purchased her and am happy to have her as part of my collection. I now have two grails, both of which will actually be difficult to acquire: a full set Charmdoll Circe and full set Dollzone Cyborg/Robot Ji Zero. Hoping to see one of them pop up on the secondhand market as that’s the only way I’m going to be able to get them.
14. A magic doll fairy appears and decides to grant you a wish. She can make the type of (non-existent) doll you wish existed finally exist in reality. What is it?
A mermaid doll that I didn’t have to unstring and restring to switch back to human legs
15. What’s your piece of advice for a newbie?
Do your research and buy something that will make you happy! Look at Instagram under BJD hashtags to find what aesthetic/artists/makers you like, and use Den of Angels to find more info about where to buy dolls, what size options you have, anything at all really! They have a whole Newbie section that I highly recommend, it was very helpful to me when I was first getting into the hobby a few years back!
BJD 15 Questions
I remember these were popular on tumblr a while back but since I haven’t seen one in a while I decided to make my own. I made them with BJDs and similar dolls like DDs in mind but feel free to use these prompts to talk about any type of doll! You can also skip any question you don’t have an answer for.
If you post on your own blog please tag with ‘BJD 15 questions’ so I can see your answers! You can also do it on Instagram or Twitter if you like.

16th October 2021
The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. That's the shortest description of the 2nd day of Denver Con
Jensen's, Misha's and J2's panels took place. Starting point was strong with everyone fawning over Jensen and Misha. And the photo ops. And their interactions
Fanfom delighted to see Misha and Jensen interact after over a year of no content. They reportedly fake-almost-kiss during their talks inbetween photo ops
Jensen says there were lots of rewrites done to 15x20 even before covid. Says that Dean dying alwayd was the endgame. Says he had to fight for Dean to die standing up and proud and not cradled by Sam. Mentions the death scene was paiful and awful - not only for Jensen and Jared but also for the crew. Says some of them had to leave because they felt attached to the characters as well. Reveals that he didn't mourn Dean because Dean is part of him and always will be. He also teases the return of supernatural. Says that he believes it's stay around for years to come in some shape or form - whether it'll be a friends-style reunion or spin-off or a movie or a redo in 3 years or all the above. Asked whether Jack being a girl would influence the story says no and mention that there bever was a discussion if Jack identifies as a boy. And then adds stupid not well-thought joke and makes fandom mad
Misha briefly joins the panel and they talk.. Stuff. For a while. They talk covid ofc
Misha talks rater interesting stuff. Says that the 2nd season of Bridgewater podcast is coming. Thinks that Cas' favourite place in heaven would be at the back of the impala, or in the bunker. And wherever exactly cas is in heaven - he is content. Says the confession scene was his favourite out of the whole series. And that he misses all the mischiefs they were engaging in during the shooting. The running late panel gets ended at the worst possible moment - while fan is waiting for an answer to very emotionally charged question - by Jensen's and Jared's appearience.
Jensen and Jared are rumoured to be arguing inbetween photo ops
Majority of J2 panel runs smoothly. Asked if they liked the finale Jared says "they both died" indicating rather not positive feelings regarding 15x20. Jensen praises Misha's performance in 15x18. But shit hits the fan with the very last question. Asked about just queer. Those two white men malfunction. Spewing just vile, stupid shit unfit to consumption. Or print for that matter. But they bend over themselves. Jared outright denies that Cas confession was romantic. Because "basically Cas is just built differently". Jensen is not alot better, starting off strong with "Dean didn't realise till confession" but then after being interrupted by jared just shrugs through majority of his ramble. And then finishes with "it's up to interpretation" classic.
What will happen tomorrow

I am going to say this, and I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for it, but I'm so sick of this, so I don't care.
Guys.
I get that you're upset, but in that speech, when did Jared ever actively say that queer love wasn't okay?
I am in the LGBTQ community, and I didn't hate that answer.
And here's the thing.
He didn't specify anything about queer love specifically. He was talking about romantic love. He was specifically discussing the idea of romance and that Supernatural was never supposed to be about romance.
In that speech, fine, yes, he said that the confession was not a romantic confession, but it had way less to do with gay love specifically and MUCH more to do with romantic and sexual love in general, and that's actually a point I agree with.
WAY too much of media these days is focused on romance and sex. We ship these characters, these two are in love, these two totally wanna bang: do you know how hard it is to find movies/tv shows/books that are just about FRIENDS or about FAMILY and have NO romance (or, at the very least, very little of it)?!
Why do you think I like Supernatural so much??!! I get so, SO sick of the emphasis on romantic and sexual love in media, and re-watching Supernatural is such a breath of fresh air every freaking time.
So frankly, I think Jared has a point.
And if you love romantic and sexual relationships in media, then that's fine. Go for it. Watch that all you want. There is plenty of it out there, and you can insert it into whatever media you want however you want.
But as a result, don't get pissed at the amazing human beings that are the Supernatural cast just because they thought of the relationship differently.
And yeah, I get it. I do agree that Jensen's answer was a little more well-mannered and well thought-out, and he handled with a lot more ease. Jared's response was definitely a little more emotionally charged.
But can you blame him?! These actors aren't blind. They're not idiots. They know the drama the last few episodes have brought. They know all of the Destiel drama. They've seen it. And with the amount of hate (most of which is pretty unnecessary and unfair) that Jared has been getting about topics like this, I can't say I blame him for being a little peeved off that they got a question about it.
Obviously, a question like that was bound to happen, and Jared probably should've been expecting it, but he's also HUMAN, and he had just been talking about how emotional saying goodbye to the show was for him.
To suddenly be reminded of such a currently very toxic conversation in the fandom was probably a little emotionally jarring, even if he had mentally prepared himself.
And he did settle himself down a little bit after his speech. After Jensen talked, his next words were much calmer and much more understanding and supportive sounding. I really do think he was just already in an emotional place and put in a bad situation with a difficult question to handle.
But his answer wasn't bad. If you take out the emotional delivery, what he said makes perfect sense, and it's actually something I 100% agree with, and is honestly my favorite thing about the show.
So come on. Please stop this. These types of emotionally charged responses from you are part of the reason we as a community get reactions like that. When we lash out at people, they lash back, whether they mean to or not.
Please be reasonable. Please handle this responsibly. Please, please, please, stop hurting and pushing away one of the few communities and one of the few groups of people that is without a doubt accepting.
I don't want to lose this fandom, but you guys are really starting to scare me.
Please don't tear this fandom apart even more than it already is.
I can't handle it.

Better and far more legitimate question: why are so many destiel shippers so toxic and entitled that they think not telling them their ship is totes canon is both a personal attack and a hate crime?
Jensen doesn't hate destiel. He just has no particular interest in discussing fans' non-canon shipping and he's made that clear several times. He goes to conventions to talk about his perspective on the show he actually made ... Then gets fans demanding to know why destiel isn't canon because if Dean can fanboy Dr Sexy he must want to fuck him. Then gets fans shoving straight up porn in his face. Then gets fans yelling over him trying to get him to bring up Cass. Then gets fans trying to get him to read essays about how Dean is bisexual to "educate" him about how wrong he is about his own acting and character. Then gets fans wearing T-shirts telling him he's wrong about his own show. Then gets fans stating point blank that goodbye scene was romantic and trying to get him to expound upon that interpretation. And so on.
The vast majority of the time when someone brings the ship up to him? It's belligerently leading questions, trying to talk over him, or creepy invasive sexual shit - that all turns into online slander when he says no, says ship what you want, says nobody at the helm was writing the show that way and he wasn't playing the character that way. Gosh, I can't imagine why he'd be immediately uncomfortable and defensive as soon as the topic comes up given that context! Or why he's overly concerned with the presentation of the character when fans insist Dean literally just making eye contact with another man while talking to him, being a fan of something, or not reacting angrily to another man flirting with him is proof of how "gay" he is. Sure Jensen has said some less than PC things I'd expect of a 30-40 year old dude raised in Texas over the years, but if you really want to talk about who has shitloads of issues with queerness, unfortunate stereotypes, and toxic masculinity they aren't trying to work through? Let's start with all the destiel meta that begins with "lol no straight guy would ever ..." and insisting a guy who *gasp* dares to say he didn't play his character as attracted to men must be a homophobe in denial because he obviously did. 🙄
As to that confession, present an actual source of anybody but Misha and Berens saying any such thing about its intention - I won't hold my breath. At the same convention (Denver 2021) that Jared got so much shit for saying there were all kinds of love and all interpretations were valid and Jensen agreed with him, Misha in his panel with Alex said basically the same thing Jensen reportedly said in a previous M&G about an artist not telling people what to interpret out of an artwork and how he didn't want his interpretation to be the definitive word. But somehow that gets forgotten in all the other more leading, more bait-y shit he's said elsewhere.
Which brings me to my final point. Jensen says ship and headcanon what you want, but sorry, that's not what I intended or what the writers put into the text, it's just fan fantasies - and you lot insist he's a homophobe for not telling you what you want to hear and being uncomfortable when you keep ignoring what he's said and trying to make him give you a different answer. Misha lies to you, makes sly implications, changes his story back and forth constantly, was involved in at least one of those answers agreeing with Jensen about certain dialogue and actions being questionable for the male characters they were playing, all but admits he was falsely leading you on for years when he said he was sure going into season 15 the writers would never go even as far as they did, preps merch to release through his company to capitalize on that scene, and even queerbaits so hard he has to come out as straight - and you live up his ass praising him as some kind of amazing ally.
Well gosh, I wonder if maybe just maybe it's not about understanding or giving a shit about LGBT+ issues and toxic masculinity at all, only feeling entitled to being told your personal interpretations about this one single specific ship are The Real Story of SPN! Actually that's a lie, I don't wonder.
why is jensen ackles so toxic?
i have been a supernatural fan for over ten years and i have known for a while that jensen has never been a fan of destiel, which would be completely fine if he didn't always react uncomfortable and downright disgusted every time someone mentions it and / or the possibility of dean being queer. i have seen him become very defensive and even hostile when asked questions about these things at conventions. to this day jensen (& jared) STILL vehemently call castiel's confession "platonic" and "brotherly" while the writers, showrunners and misha explicitly called it a romantic confession of love.
my problem with jensen's behaviour is that it seems to be rooted in very toxic masculinity and the fragility of it. he has called emotional writing "unmanly" and "effeminate" and "something dean would never say to another man"; he was glad that dean didn't share many scenes with castiel in season 9; he desperately wanted destiel "to go away" and something else that really irks me: so many times when destiel was talked about, he brought up wincest, as if that is in any way the same. he seems to associate queerness with unmanliness, weakness and something to be uncomfortable about.
i can understand that destiel extremists have insulted his wife, insinuated ridiculous things happened between actors etc but this is no excuse for his downright homophobic comments and behaviour. he can also imagine dean however he wants and i know he thinks he understands dean better than anyone but it's so sad to me how much he seems to limit dean in who he could be TO OTHER PEOPLE. who does it harm if a bunch of bi people see themselves in him and his behaviour? i thought jensen understood just how much dean hid from everyone. it makes me sad that he seems to want to forbid other people from interpreting dean differently than he does.
he should really take some time to reflect if dean winchester's non-canon sexuality is really worth coming across homophobic for.

you know what? forget Creation. what’s stopping us from hosting our own conventions? we could invite misha and kim, berens and yockey, host panels on the latest desticule meta. why give any more money to a production that censors us, that denies our canonical existence in this show? it’s an unsaturated market, let’s wreck this monopoly
