Hey world! This is CaptainTechy420, and welcome to TechTuesday! Today, I want to share how technology impacts my life—oops, our lives.

The pace of technological advancement in our lifetime is incredible, and it's no wonder the entire world depends on it. Technology has made everything more accessible, efficient, and convenient—just a click away. With a single click, you can connect with people globally and access numerous websites for schoolwork and research. It's remarkably convenient.

Personally, life without the internet can be enjoyable but only to a certain extent. Imagine being outside and spotting a bird with vibrant colors and beautiful sounds. How would you learn about such a magnificent creature without the internet? Quick research is impossible without it. Going to the library feels tedious when you can get information instantly online. Everyone depends on current technology because it puts everything at our fingertips. Technology and the internet have become integral parts of our lives, making tasks easier and more convenient.

In today's world, we all depend on technology. During the pandemic, we relied heavily on the internet to stay connected and sane. We used it for work and school, and people depended on it for everyday tasks and community interactions (online). Governments worldwide relied on technology to keep their countries functioning during the crisis. The entire world leaned on it, as it became vital to everyone's life.

Our devices are our life companions—laptops, cell phones, tablets, iPads, smartwatches, and more. These gadgets hold much of our lives and fit into the palm of our hands. However, they also control us.

In summary, the internet is indispensable. Technology is woven into everyone's daily routines. It's impossible to live without it if you're part of the generation that grew up with it. It's an essential part of our lives, making us so dependent on it that we often overlook its drawbacks. While technology is fun and makes life easier, it also brings challenges like data privacy concerns, reduced face-to-face interactions, and increased screen time. Balancing its benefits and drawbacks is crucial for a healthier relationship with technology

Circles - October 26th, 2022

There once was a girl who walked

Around in circles as people gawked

Day in, day out

All she ever wanted was to shout

Stuck in this loop of pain

She endured as down fell the rain 

People thought she was having fun

What they didn’t know was she wanted to run

Away to a land where she can be herself

Away to a land with her own books on her shelf

The books that can’t come into fruition

Too busy paying her college tuition 

For a major she doesn’t like

Professors who seem to want to put her head on a pike

The extinguishing of her creative spark

The slow degradation of her quick-witted remarks

Short deadlines, lack of time

These continuous exams should be a crime

No information retained 

Only an empty husk remained

What is the point of it all

Like sheep herded into a stall

Awaiting the fall of the knife

College, a slaughterhouse ending her life

A life she wants to fill with creations

Let people see her thought manifestations 

She’s always wanted to leave something behind

She fears there’s no time left to spill the contents of her mind

No time to read, no time to write

No time to paint, just time for spite

Constant complaining to fill the void

That college has left her with, so annoyed

Even now she writes this with her sheets in her lap

Muscles and nerves and she’s about to snap

She’s relieved by the little snippets she can still spout

But her great project has been hit by drought

A dam constructed by a system built by buffoons

Dryness and silence for far too many moons

She misses the land that was once budding

With the humor of her characters and her words flooding

Out of her in comfort and confidence, easy to share

Now no motivation, no words, even with hours to spare

She hopes she can regain it all in her break

Her identity, her sanity, all are at stake 

See sometimes when she starts she can’t stop

A big block of text, terms one after the other plop

You might find it boring by the time you get to the end

But just know that her stories, her songs, her poems, into the beginning they blend

She always ties the string in tight knots

To match the endless circle she walks
