Hiya Jerico!! Thank for sending this in - this is one of my favourite games and I'm always so happy when someone responses to it.

I always want to do more stories with my familials, especially the Addams. I'm actually really happy that I manged to finish one of my Addams family stories in time for the Christmas season (see here).

Your right, it is a funny scene to picture. There's a picture, somewhere far back in John's wallet, showing an old photo of a spiky haired twenty year old punk rocker with a a hair haired toddler in baby pink clothes and a dummy firstly in her mouth. Its hidden behind a few other pictures but you can see the cease marks where someone's thumb has brushed against it. Its one of his most treasured possessions.

Travel - Joanna doesn't really like leaving London, preferring to stay in the city and rarely leaving it but I think she would enjoy hearing the stories I have, seeing any pictures I have taken.

For John, reading. Now, don't get me wrong. John is very well read when it comes to grimoire and textbooks but beyond that he isn't a big fiction reader, compared to me who is. I can see him being impressed by my large collection of books covering wall to wall.

Some sort of card game. John and Joanna are experts in most games while I don't know a lot of card games. I can see the three of us sitting down and learning a new card game. Well learning, cheating - same thing in this family.

A birthday with the Addams is an elaborate celebration. All the family is invited, from all across the world. Black ribbons and spiderweb patterned lace table covers with large white candles dripping onto the floor. Gomez would twirl me across the dance floor, Morticia would make belladonna jam biscuits for the event, Pugsley would give me a stolen road signs as a present and Wednesday would even let me hug her. 

And at the end of the night a large coffin shaped cake is brough in.

Comparably a birthday spent with John Constantine is a rather lazy affair. Chinese take out and a few horror movies or maybe a trip to a bar. Black out drunk or not at all is his motto on occasions like this. and if some magic is done during the night then who is to say who casted it? 

Dream would take me on a night out. He’d create a black dress with sheer bishop sleeve that glittered midnight blue with every twirl and walk us though the dreams of grand ballroom dances. Dream wouldn’t dance with me, its not his way but he would happy enough to watch. 

Coraline is the type to secretly hand make something, probably a scarf or a bookmark. She would invite to tea in her garden after she’s come back from school, sitting on the cold stone bench under the old twisted tree, two hot drinks and a plate of biscuits between us.

Money and a baby ruth bar is the best he can do when he’s locked in the BPRD Headsquares. Its not as if he can just walk out the front door and go shopping.

Hellboy would be more likely to takes me to a hole in the wall shady bar. We’d share a bottle of tequila and just talk till the other agents notice that we’re missing and brings us back.

the same as his usual outfit: Tanned trench coat, button up shirt, loose tie, dress trousers and shoes. Maybe a party hat or a paper crown if he’s in the mood.

John wouldn't make a birthday card, not his style. He would be more likely to grab one at a gas stop. Probably have a pink heart and large 23 on it.

1- How excitable does your F/O get when your birthday comes around?

Klarion is very excited when its my birthday, as he sees it as an opportunity to go all out with celebrations. Fireworks, smoke bombs, giant cakes - and this is my himself- it gets so much worse when he and Cardan meet up for my birthday....

6- Would your F/O give you a birthday card? Would they make it themselves, or would they buy one from the store? What would the card say?

John would get me a cheap birthday card, most likely from a gas station on his way over to see me. I can see it with like some flowers, a glittery “happy birthday” in cursive font and some glue on jewels.

7- How does your F/O give their gift(s) to you? Do they give it as is, or is it neatly wrapped? Are they nervous about giving it to you, or are they completely casual about it?

Kabane would give the gift as it is, probably not understanding birthdays too well and why people even get gifts for it in the first place. He would just be like “here you go” in his somewhat flat voice and pass it over to me.

Always out of synch with each other’s timelines, the two are fairly close. Mai is often seen as meek, quiet yet cheeky while River is more flirtatious and strong willed. As such the two often balance each other out when together. Both are content to living each others lives and can go for months without talking to each other.

River often takes Mai on as her assistant when going on archaeological digs. She knows that Mai has a habit of shutting herself in so she often goes out her way to take Mai out with her when ever they see each other. The two also like to go on holidays with each other. They pick a planet (whether its in is century or another is a different question all together) and spend a few weeks there. The holiday is often spent between spa days, bars and museums. The two arm wrestle for a sunny destination or a winter wonderland. If it ends in a draw then they go on an intergalactic cruise. 

John is Mai’s biological father and helped raise her with Morticia and Gomez. He was a young parent (only 18) at the time of her birth. Because she was born a few months before Newcastle there’s always a hint of sorrow in their relationship through John’s side. Mai helps him dealing with his mental health as he helps Mai with hers. The two have their differences; Mai is more dreamy John is rather cynical, while Mai is quite warm and friendly, John is the more gruff, and anti-social. The both can be awfully foul mouthed though and often describe themselves as ‘magnets for weirdness’. 

The two are fairly close, enjoy music together and often live with each other (whether it was in the house of mystery or Mai’s own chicken legged home). John also started Mai’s love of learning magic. if given the opportunity to do it again, I can’t honestly say he would get involved in Mai’s life- purely due to the hardship and danger his involvement has caused her.

Part 2 

I can taste the tea that Morticia would give me (rose tea with a spoonful of sugar) in her greenhouse with little biscuits and cakes seasoned with belladonna seeds, the large black seed bulging out of the small treats. Their tender and sweet taste almost clouding their noxious nature. I can almost see the exasperated yet fond look as I take a sip of the tea and make a face not too uncommon from sucking at a lemon, Hot Chocolate then? she say, a small smile hiding in the right hand corner of her red dyed lips - red like poppies and  pomegranate and flesh blood. Please I reply the same smile mirror on my face. I think she would call me ‘spider-lily’ due to the fact that it is believed that spider-lilies grow in Hell and guide the dead into they’re next reincarnation cycle.

I can see John in the light of his cigarette, The smoke tendrils twisting out of his mouth as he breaths out. The smell of the cigarette, which always has have a sulfuric hint - most likely from the hell fire lighter- shifts between us as we both learn against an alley wall. I can quite happily imagine him teaching me magic. In the beginning it was unintentional. Just bits and pieces of info being mentioned in passing but I have always had a love of the supernatural. So, after saving him from a kelpie John started to teach me magic. Little things at first- how to grow a seed within a day, how to keep a small of light to keep the dark away- but as time drawl on he would  starts to teach me more and would let me help him on some of his ‘cases’. 

 Long walks with Alucard under a moonlit sky. As rare as they are they can last for many hours. Endless walking with no real destination in mind. These happen most often when he’s coming back from a mission, blood often absorbing into the fabric of his red coat. Sometimes I float using my staff so that I can be the same height as him with his heavy foot steps being the only thing you can hear for miles. There are other times where I walk beside him too. I barely come above his collar bone so there are rare times where he carries me.  I think that due to the nature of our relationship - as a 600 year old vampire and a young time-traveller who has know him for since the time he was a human and she was a kid - there is a certain lack (and there for a freedom) of social norms so we can often go into deep talks that can last for many hours.

I think River would worry about me at times cus she knows that I have a tendency to shut myself in. But in the same vein she knows how curious I am so she would lure me out of my hobbit hole with promises of new and interesting places; vanilla and strawberry milkshakes at the Big Bang Burger Bar at the very beginning of time for breakfast, shopping in alien markets, dinner at Restaurant at the End of the Universe as the world shuts down. I think River would also take me to archaeology dig whether they are in the future or on an different planet as her assistant.

if your mind was a slice of life anime who would be in it?

You see I have weird thoughts and this one is just the latest in a long line. I started to think about how F/Os, after being absent for months at a time like to pop back into my head and I make me compare them to F/o that more or less live there and now all I have are the blue-prints to a slice of life anime in my wee hobbit Hole. Like no joke if my mind was a house 

- Dabi would probably stay in my room and give zero shits about it while Hei would say that he’s fine sleeping on the couch but in the middle of the night would just come into my room with us. There is a massive bed with pillow galore in all sizes and shapes, with a few shelves for each of us. Not to say that they don't have they’re own spaces

- Surprisingly Dabi spends most of his days in the library. Though whether that's to read or because its a good place to nap is anyone's guess. 

- Hei practically owns the kitchen/ dining space and Dabi and I are not allowed in there due to a tiny little accident that almost burned the kitchen down. Since then we’re only allowed to sit there and talk and maybe help once in a while. But there is also the garden where we have a telescope set up. Hei and I love to talk about the stars ( he talks about star clusters and the different constellation and I talk about the myth and legends about stars and the night sky). Dabi likes to lie down on the grass and listen to us.

- Klarion has his own room and I feel like he would lord it over both Dabi and Hei because he has his own room and there for his own space to work with and they share a room with me. In Klarion’s mind he would see it as a massive difference between them and would tease the both of them by saying that that he was my “favourite person in all the  Blue Rafters “. Hei would let him do that to keep the peace and Dabi would deliberately rile him up. I can see his room filled with crystal, books and strange knickknacks on the shelves and a messy bed by the window. I think after spending most of his life underground he would really love the stars.

- John and Nico also has a room but they only uses it part time so they have to share it. There's a spell on the door to to change it to whoever's room it is (think the door in howls moving castle). So for example say Nico was the last to use that room and John comes by to stay for a while, three turns and a tug at the door handle changes it to his room. Nico’s room is just like the Hades cabin- all dark with a vampire aesthetic that Nico denies but says nothing to if red or black velvet is brought into the house. He mainly stays in camp half-Blood anyway and only comes round for visits and maybe Holidays. John stays more regularly than Nico but not by much. His room is filled odd artifacts, rugs that cover the original wood flooring and a few pictures that he keeps near his bed.

- Morticia doesn’t stay there but she does come round for tea at odd times, at least a couple of time a month. Mainly on does Tuesday that feels like a Wednesdays or the any day in-between the autumn harvest and the winter solstice. She like to have hemlock and sugar with her tea.

- River comes and goes as she please. It could be days or even months in-between her visits and our timeline are never quite a lined. Always a little after or a little before mine. 

- Carden comes by as often as he can but more often than not its me going to see him. Elfhame is a busy and tiring place to rule and its even more tiring if your not there to rule it. Though in the spring he come by for a few day though never over night. 

- Chise does also come by but as a student she can only see me oh so often. On the rare day she comes by and has some tea as we talk about her studies and such.

- It’s very rare for The Storyteller to come to the Hobbit Hole. Its not so much as he doesn’t like to visit as it is he is content to stay in his wee cottage with the Dog and any passer-by who want to listen to him. When he does come to stay he only ever really stays in the living room by the plus chair near the fire. If you offer him a room to stay in he just declines before asking if you ever hear of this tale or that. 

- Milo also comes by rarely, partly I think due to Altantis’s reconstruction and teaching taking all his time. Not to say he completely forgets. If you send him a letter he usually come by but more often than not its me going to see him. 

- Lastly Alucard never comes to the Hobbit Hole. Months or even years can go by for him without us seeing each other. I have to go and see him, usually at the Hellsing Mansion or when he’s coming back from a mission. If you ask him why he says that due to him being immortal he doesn’t notice time passing the same way I do, though part of me wonders if it truly is immortality playing tricks or if he simply ignoring my aging. In between visits we exchange letters that come around monthly.

I don’t really know why Cardan is so special to me. By all account I should hate him, I would make sense for me to hate him but I don’t. He’s a boy who plays the part of a villain to keep himself safe and yet that hidden soft side does come out, in small ways mainly. Maybe its because he’s a book worm? Maybe its cus he refuses to learn how to kill someone? Maybe cus I relate to him in some small but strange way? I honestly don’t know. All I know is that when I first saw him I instantly wanted to do this to him

Schwellenangst (n.) Fear of crossing a threshold to embark on something new. Have you ever been hesitant to accept a new f/o? If so, why

Not really, most times when I get a new f/o I just accept it. I think its mainly cus I don’t interact with a lot of fandom spaces so when I get a f/o that controversial (side eyes Eren) I don’t always notice it right away. 

Kilig (n.) the feeling of butterflies in one’s stomach. Can you remember the first time your f/o gave you butterflies?

I went into Trese for the filipino folklore and cus I heard that there were cute guys in it. So I checked it out and yeah the guys were cute but none took my fancy so I expected to finish it without gaining a new f/o and I was very proud of myself for myself control....and then episode 5 showed up and I saw Dominic and I knew that I was doomed 

Cachinnating (v.) To laugh loudly. Which of your f/o’s lines/moments makes you laugh the most? Bonus points if they aren’t a comedic character.

For Rin its always going to be the grandma scene

theres a line missing here which is “whoever she is, don’t follow her into the light!”. It makes me burst out into uncontrollable giggles

John Constantine is my second longest f/o. The first time I saw him was via the 20005's Constantine movie and I loved it with all the love a pre-teen me could give it. Then a few years later I saw the Constantine TV show and I just, loved him. I looked at this English, chain-smoking alcoholic wizard and went "yip, that's my dad!"

Serendipity (n.) Finding something good without looking for it. Which of your f/os did you fall for without meaning to? Were any of them a surprise to you?

Marko was a total accident, a happy one but an accident none the less.  I was actually a bit annoyed cus of course I’m going to go after the vampire who is always getting into fights? this is me after all.
