aaron warner headcanons anyone?
• He has a 15-step skin care routine
• and a twenty-seven step haircare one
• gets offended when Juliette just washes her face with cold water and calls it a day
• LOVES picking out his kids outfits for the day
• Gets a golden retriever (it looks more like him than his kids do)
• Actually enjoys work outs and running
• Juliette convinces him to go to therapy
• The first time he made the therapist cry
• He's actually a really good artist and designed all his clothes
• but his handwriting SUCKS
• and by that i mean like doctor handwriting, completely illegible. my boy can't even read his own writing
• once he accidently broke his jade ring and he cried for hours until Delalieu found him and had it fixed (without Anderson knowing)
• Sometimes he'll paint his nails for fun
• The only thing that could make him fall asleep before Juliette came along was a very specific blend of tea that he created himself
• When he first started applying the scar medicine, it was so difficult for him to reach his back he basically gave up and threw the bottle across the room, pouting
• Delalieu found him (cs of course he did) and helped him against his will
• Aaron prefers other people calling him Warner. Aaron is a special privilege reserved for Juliette
• He's actually really flirty and makes a lot of innuendos without realizing
• The first time he tried to kill his dad he had a panic attack at the doorway of Anderson's room
• He got his "Ignite" tattoo when he was 14
• and his Shakespeare on at 17
thats all i could think of. feel free to add ur own in the comments!!

Worrisome Mornings
Masterlist
Well, it seems I did manage to convince myself to write warnette fic: cuz why not? This one isn't necessarily about the two but it indulged me and wish it works for the same for you. Inspiration for this comes out of this post.
Book: Shatter Me
Words: 1k
Pairing: None
With Warner unable to be contacted in the morning of chapter 56, Delalileu worries himself with reasons. None that matches when he learns the actual cause.
Delalieu's POV:
Delalieu almost did have an aneurysm.
He was promptly waiting for the Commander to show up at his usual time to discuss the doings of the day. With Commander Warner harbouring enemies of the state in his personal quarters, the stability and agenda that had been maintained since his appointment had been disrupted. Delalieu himself had overseen a part of this mission that could cost him his life at the least.
He wasn't sure why he had always been so willing to sacrifice his life and work for members of Anderson family. Many a time he had been on the wrong side of power, a young man lost in the sense of manifestation. Perhaps he still was on the wrong side of power while he had seen much, he had lost more.
This way of devotion towards Commander Warner, his grandchild was his way of asking forgiveness to his daughter, Leila. Forgiveness, he would never deserve. He had seen the crimes committed by his own against his own and he had silently let them happen, overseen them at times without questioning the morality and insanity of it.
Delalieu was a man lacking in courage when it came down to crossing the lines of duty and relation, in situations when it was a need to put his blood first he had failed to do so.
It had taken multiple years to gain Warner's trust. An odd sort of bond that goes nowhere- there's respect between the two, born completely out of sincerity and years of seeing each other. What relation he had with Commander Warner could be carried with any other Lieutenant had Paris decided to appoint another.
"Family should be close," Paris had said, smiling wickedly to him the day he had been appointed.
Here at Sector 45, he worked both for the Commander and the Supreme, not letting his interactions with either mix. Delalieu was that tie between the two that secured that they were far more isolated than nearer.
Pulling himself away from his thought he glanced at the huge wall clock.
7:14.
The Commander was late by 14 minutes. If experience and memory served him right, Commander Warner was never late- not on a sick day, not when he was shot in his arms, not when Miss Ferrars was dying. Aaron Warner was a punctual man that valued his time more than people. Seeing how he had been running late for over 16 minutes now seemed to surprise him beyond his wits.
He diligently decided to wait before jumping to conclusions about the Commander's whereabouts. Patiently waiting for further 10 minutes before he decided to give in to his unease.
Delalieu called for his office, assuming that the Commander had decided to spend his morning drawing plans for the aftermath of this rebellion. No one answered the phone, as his request was met with an automated attendant. He pinches his head in worry trying to find a single reason why Warner couldn't be contacted.
Trying to calm his nervous tick, he searched for the boy on the base surveillance. Nothing. He needed to check whether Warner was out to his house in the sector like he preferred disappearing to. Alone. To keep an eye on correspondence and locals. When his search came back with no signs, he rang the operators instead.
"Where was the Chief Commander last seen ?" He asked masking his worries with an emotionless tone.
"Last night entering his quarters."
"Time?"
"2050."
"Any activity outside his quarter?"
"None noticed, sir."
"Any tanks put off from surveillance? Lost signal with any soldiers?" He asked not wanting to give away any matters for the soldiers to divulge in.
"None, sir. "
He hung up on the phone and sprang out of the door within seconds.
The time read 7:48 am.
Last sighted in his quarters which did not have any cameras as per his request and command. Delalieu knew it was stupid and naive to give in to the demands of a 19-year-old boy and foregoing protocol. With no surveillance inside the ward, Delalieu had no way of knowing what harm Warmer might have undergone.
Warner was housing revolutionaries on the base, a floor away from his quarters. Castle and his band of refugees were too deep in grief to be hosted as allies. One never knew when feelings of revenge came to the surface. Them living a floor below him gave them a perfect opportunity to do away with his cruelty for once. Delalieu berated himself for not trying to talk the boy out of his decision.
Stupid mistakes taken out of desire. Aaron was doing so much to save the girl's life only for her and her refugee of friends to take advantage of his kindness. Delalieu reminded himself that Aaron was more than capable to take care of himself but when it came down to the girl, Juliette Ferrars he failed to meet his own assessment. Love bedazzled him, like always the girl made him forget everything else. Made him do things he won't do for anyone. Ella always blinded him.
He had walked on gun ready, his card swiped in to let him enter. His mind was numb with scenarios he might come across and his body operating purely on adrenaline and years of practice.
He stepped inside the room. Only to see a sight be hadn't quite expected- clothes were strewn around everywhere. It took him about ten seconds to register the scene and now his mind was buzzing with the need to be out of the room, eyes wide in horror and cheeks flushed with humiliation. He quickly stepped back into the elevator, pressing the button to move down to his floor. As the elevator doors closed on him he had unintentionally glimpsed enough to confirm his suspicions. The two sprawled on the bed. Huddled over each other.
Back in the safety of his own office, he sighed. Not so much out of relief. There was so much past to uncover for the two.
__
A/N: Hope it wasn't much disappointing. I just wanted to write someting new and my old wips have haunted me for months and I wrote this down in a day instead. Taking asks for warnette now if you all can be so kind as to send them.
No taglish cuz don't know mutuals that are into this book. Do mention if you want to be tagged in future works.

Book review: 'SHATTER ME' SERIES
Entering the world of the 'Shatter Me' series was like embarking on a rollercoaster ride, filled with highs and lows, twists and turns. With each installment, I found myself swept away by Tahereh Mafi's captivating storytelling, but also grappling with my own conflicting emotions. Here's a breakdown of my journey through the series, from the heights of adoration to the depths of disappointment.
SHATTER ME #1: 4/5 stars I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm not a fan of Adam and Juliette as a couple. Juliette's affection for Adam seems more based on his kindness to her in the past and his ability to touch her, rather than genuine love. Adam's obsession with Juliette feels cliché and cringeworthy to me.
However, I still like Adam as a character overall. The plot and characters like Kenji and especially Warner are fantastic though. Warner's complexity as a character makes him stand out.
DESTROY ME #1.5 [NOVELLA]: 5/5 stars
Wow, Aaron Warner really steals the show. His depth of emotion in this novella is just so well-written. You can really feel his complex feelings, not just towards Juliette, but also in his relationship with Delalieu, which is surprisingly cute. And those dreams? They add such an intriguing layer to the story. And don't even get me started on the quotes - they're just perfection!
Seriously, if you're a Warner fan, you absolutely need to read this. It's a solid 5/5 heartbreaking stars from me.
This novella is an essential read for anyone invested in the series. As you dive into Warner's psyche, you'll feel the weight of his emotions pressing down on you. It's like he's a whirlwind of disappointment, trauma, and anger all bundled up in a 19-year-old boy. But despite all the pain and suffering, you can't help but empathize with him. You start to see the walls he's built around himself and understand why he acts the way he does. It's a real eye-opener that sheds light on every decision he made in the first book.
Fair warning, though - once you finish this novella, there's no turning back. Warner will completely shatter your heart into pieces, and you'll be left utterly captivated by him. I mean, I couldn't even put this novella down, and that rarely happens with novellas!
UNRAVEL ME #2: 4.5/5 stars
This book was so close to perfection. I loved it so much but the ending kind of messed it up for me. It was underwhelming as the whole book.
This book, this world – it's all messed up, yet people keep on living. It blows my mind how they manage to survive, rebels, soldiers, regular folks, all facing terror every day. It's wild.
Lots of folks rag on Juliette, saying she's weak, self-absorbed, always wrapped up in her own drama. But I get where she's coming from. Life's tough, you know? Juliette's been through hell and back. Treated like trash her whole life, it's no wonder she struggles to see herself as anything but a monster. And when she finally starts feeling human again, it's ripped away from her. But she lets it go, showing her humanity.
Her relationships, especially with Adam, get a lot of flack. People say it's not real, just based on need. But with Warner, it's different. Despite his tough exterior, Juliette sees his softer side.
IGNITE ME #3: 5/5 stars
I get it. I FINALLY GET THE HYPE of this series!
This book is the reason why Aaron warner is our golden boy. That guy is the definition of swoon-worthy. Every word out of his mouth had me melting into a puddle on the floor.
Kenji, though? He's the real MVP. I swear, if I wasn't so head over heels for Warner, Kenji would be stealing the show. His humor just brings so much light to everything, you know?
But Adam? Ugh, don't even get me started on him. Every time he showed up, I was ready to throw my book across the room. Seriously, why couldn't Mafi just have Warner toss him off a cliff or something?
But let's talk about the romance. Holy smokes, it was on fire! I lost count of how many scenes had me squealing out loud. Warnette forever, am I right? That pager scene? And "lyhfml"? Absolute perfection.
RESTORE ME #4: 3/5 stars
Wow, that ending though! I'm still trying to process it, honestly.
So, let's get into it. While I didn't love this book as much as "Ignite Me," those secrets and lies had me hooked! But seriously, all that miscommunication? It stressed me out big time. Like, can these characters just talk to each other already?
And Juliette... girl, what happened? She went from confident and strong to clueless and insecure. But hey, she's still the supreme commander, even if she's not sure what to do with all that power. I guess we all make dumb decisions sometimes, right?
But let's talk about the hot stuff. Juliette laying down the law? Scorching! And Kenji? Always a bright spot. His friendship with Juliette and his bond with Warner? Pure gold. And Nazeera? Badass.
Now, Warner. My heart breaks for him. His vulnerability, his anxiety - it's all too real. And that childhood trauma? Heart-wrenching. But eating a cookie with a knife and fork? Classic Warner.
And his love for Juliette? It's sickeningly sweet. He'd do anything for her, and it's both beautiful and agonizing to watch.
Overall, this book had its flaws.
DEFY ME #5: 2.5/5 stars
I gotta be real here. This book left me scratching my head. Like, what was even the point? It felt like Tahereh Mafi was just stretching the story out for the sake of it. And those twists? They were more confusing than anything else. It's like she was trying to shock us without really adding anything meaningful to the plot.
Don't get me wrong, I love Mafi's writing, but this one fell flat for me. The characters I adore, like Kenji and Warner, were still solid, but the rest felt kinda irrelevant. And what's up with the whole Juliette-now-Ella thing? She'll always be Juliette to me.
Speaking of ships, Juliette and Warner? Total goals. They're the only reason I'm considering picking up book six. Oh, and I can't forget about Kenji. That guy deserves all the happiness in the world.
Overall, this book felt like a filler episode of a TV show. Not terrible, but definitely not essential. I'll stick to pretending the series ended at book three.
And can we talk about that cover? Seriously, did they just tweak the old one and call it a day? At least give us something fresh!
Oh, and a heads up for anyone thinking about diving in - there are some heavy topics like parental abuse and suicidal thoughts in here, so tread carefully.
IMAGINE ME #6: 3.5/5 stars
This series should've wrapped up neatly with "Ignite Me." Life would've been good. But nope, we got hit with "Restore Me," and it's been a rollercoaster of disappointment since then.
Honestly, going into this book, I had zero expectations. And you know what? I'm kinda glad about that because what I got was not what I expected at all.
Let's start with the positives. Tahereh's writing? Still top-notch. I mean, how does she come up with those poetic sentences? And Kenji? Bless his soul. That guy was carrying the weight of the whole story on his back, trying to keep everyone together.
But then we got Adam, who's still as irrelevant as ever. And don't even get me started on Warner. He went from being tolerable to downright insufferable. And Juliette? Where did she even go? She went from badass to passive, and it's just frustrating to watch.
The worldbuilding and plot? Yeah, still confused. And that ending? Talk about rushed and unsatisfying. So many loose ends, so many unanswered questions. And that epilogue? Don't even get me started.
In the end, the only enjoyment I got out of this mess was from Kenji's inner thoughts. That guy's a gem, always finding a way to lighten the mood.
Seriously, Mafi, this series should've stayed a trilogy. Don't even think about coming back with more books later on. I'll riot, but let's be real, I'll probably still end up reading them because I'm a glutton for punishment.
BELIEVE ME #7 [NOVELLA]: 5/5 stars
Let me tell you, when I heard about this new book coming out, I was hyped! "Imagine Me" didn't quite give us the closure we needed, so I was ready to dive back into this world.
And Aaron Warner? Damn, that guy knows how to turn up the heat. Chapter 8? I was not prepared for that level of steaminess. I thought we'd get a fade to black moment, but by the end of it, I was sweating buckets. My legs? Let's just say they were done for!
But beyond the romance, I was really digging the world-building in this book. Finally getting some insight into their plans to restore the planet was a breath of fresh air after the uncertainty of "Imagine Me."
But man, these characters? They feel like family to me. Seeing them find happiness just warms my heart. It's like revisiting old friends after all these years.
There are some more novella like:
"Destroy Me" - Aaron Warner's point of view
"Fracture Me" - Adam Kent's point of view
"Shadow Me" - Kenji Kishimoto's point of view
"Reveal Me" - Kenji Kishimoto's point of view
"Imagine Me" - Juliette Ferrars' (Ella Sommers') point of view
"Believe Me" - Aaron Warner's point of view
So there you have it, folks! 'Shatter Me' series has taken us on one wild adventure. Whether you loved it, hated it, or fell somewhere in between, one thing's for sure: Tahereh Mafi has given us a story to remember. And with that, it's time to bid adieu to Juliette, Warner, Kenji, and the rest of the crew. Until next time, happy reading!

Okie so Delalieu must be the only person outside of Juliette to know that Anderson whipped Warner's back and I'm saying this cause the man literally knew everything. So when he says that "Paris loved to torture his own boy." He definitely knew the extend of the torture and he choose to do nothing about it. Nazeera was right, he is a coward.

it's hurricane inside his head so intense and so loud he almost loses own balance standing up from the chair in his office. maybe placing every single storm to designed place of his mind where it belongs could help : erase the screams of torture escaping a young unknown girl because they do not serve you. accept the painful truth that another girl, the one you're closely observing from the distance, might be 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 from never ending misery. forget about childhood best friend and his 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 because before you left, there was a flicker of hope beneath his eyes. delete father's disappointment — there's a knock that startles his thoughts. ❛ tell kent i will be there shortly. ❜ the answer is meant for delalieu who he anticipates on the other side of the door but when familiar sound of boots against the floor captures his attention, kishimoto is the last person he would have ever expected to walk inside his bedroom uninvited. not that he dislikes his presence entirely, sometimes he manages to make him laugh and sometimes he fills the silence where his own social skills fail, god like features are instead covered in genuine surprise of the unexpected. ❛ what are you doing here ? ❜

Treat yourself
*First week of Warner being a Commander*
Delalieu: Sir, now that you have taken the position as Commander of sector 45 you're going to have to move your things from your old room to the Commander's wing.
Warner: Yes, I have already made the arrangements.
Delalieu: Wonderful. Now, you'll be getting a month's advance on your wages, as per protocol. Even though your father told me you probably won't need to buy anything you didn't already have from before.
Warner: Wait. Wages as in money?
Delalieu: Yes, sir.
Warner: Money I can spend however I want?
Delalieu: Of course, sir.
Warner: ... Alright...
*one week later*
Warner: *surrounded by mountains of LUSH packages* Do you think I went a little overboard, Lieutenant?
Delalieu: Either way it smells very nice, sir.
