I just saw the new banner with a blue-tome Julia. Does this mean Julius might be saved? If he is, any headcanons for how he would act towards everyone without the possession?

I’m so excited that we have a blue-tome Julia she’s a sweetheart I am very fond of her ;v; She’s very gentle and very strong and while she seems resigned to having to kill her brother in order to destroy Loptous, I’m absolutely certain that when Kiran brings up how they want to free Julius without harming him, she would be eager to offer whatever assistance she can to make it happen; she still very clearly loves him, after all, and if she can get him back and make her family whole again here in Askr nothing is going to stand in her way. 

Assuming they are successful (which is still a big ‘if,’ unfortunately; Loptous isn’t going to just let go and they might need to do some trial and error to make sure Julius can survive the break), Julius would be...very apologetic.  Very guilty.  Even though Julia would assure him that nothing that happened was his fault, he would remember everything Loptous did...or, in his mind, everything Loptous made him do.  Being unable to keep Loptous from reforging the Loptyrian Empire, being unable to stop the child hunts, being unable to prevent the death of his own mother by his own hands...the blood he spilled under Loptous’ control would be a heavy burden to bear. 

He would be shy of his parents, of his sister, of his half-brother.  He would have hurt them so badly, in so many different ways, during his possession, and he would be scared of what will happen if he stays around them: will they be afraid of him, after what he did? will they hate him? what if this is all a ruse and Loptous still has some hold over him, what if he hurts them again?  He would be similarly shy around other Heroes -- not just those from his own world (though he would be nervous of them), but the other good people who have been trying to help him...and eventually, he would find himself in the company of Fallen Heroes.  

Just not the ones he’s used to.

Before, with Loptous in control, he would have spent much of his time around Fallen!Berkut, Hardin, Garon -- Heroes who would obey orders only by virtue of contract, rather than any concern for the fates of others.  But after, he would suddenly find himself in the company of Lyon and the Grimas -- Heroes who have undergone change, even reform in the eyes of their fellows, who recognize the harm they caused and who seek to do better with this chance they’ve been given.  They would take him in, talk to him, try to help him through the trauma he’s endured and give him a chance to start healing.  Lyon has been in his situation (though unlike Julius, his break would not be complete, and the Demon King’s resurgence would be a very real risk, hence his general abstinence from combat), and would have very helpful insights into the situation; the Grimas, meanwhile, would relay the words of the Robins whose bodies they share, recounting their experiences with that loss of control and feelings of culpability for actions not their own.  

Progress would be slow.  But it would also be measurable.  Slowly, Julius would start to shed his insecurities and his guilt (though there would always be some hiding, it’s hard to fully escape bad memories after such experiences) and start tentatively reconnecting with his family.  And though he would be changed from the the son that Deirdre and Arvis used to know, and the brother Julia so loved...he would be kind again, and gentle, and Julia would know that this is truly him again.

While the Erikas blush at Joshua’s offer, L'Arachel hit him on the ehad with her staff: “You idiot! First of all, I’ll never play a game where someone could lose the clothes and second…” She smirks a little: “…you should know cheating and luck are useless against me because I benefit from Divine Grace.” The two Ephraim and Innes raise the hand and Marisa joins as well: “Can I see this like a fight? Because I know only to fight.” Valter as well moves more close to the group grinning: “Why don’t we play with winners and losers and the losers will have to do e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g the winners will say?” Lyon instead notices a little bureaucratic problem: “If we’ll use money, what kind of currency should we use?”

Deirdre giggles a little hearing Lyn and when the nomad makes her question, she answers turning serious: “They’re not so wrong, you know? I’m… I know there is someone of my past that I don’t remember because someone deleted my memories b-but… even here I… I can’t remember him. Th-the first days here have been difficult. S-sometimes I was unable to remember who I am.” She makes a little pause to take air: “JP was… was very gentle with me. And he is still in that way, he offered me this room.” She points all around her: “I don’t know how it works but JP told me here you can have the home that you wish thanks to a magic of this kingdom. And… he’s always close to me when I need something, him or Lady Fjorm. S-sometimes I… I dream people, two people with blue hairs. A man and a boy. I feel I know them but the images are foggy and… w-when I try to remember my head starts to ache terribly so he suggested me to not force myself. He told me that h-he knows who are the two but when he offered me to meet them I…” She lowers her face sobbing for a moment: “I was afraid to d-do it. I… I mean… w-what if they really know me but I still can’t remember t-them?” She starts to tremble a little while joining her hands: “I… I don’t want to give pain to anyone a-and I… I don’t want t-to… feel pain because I’m unable t-to recognize who I have in front of me.” Seeing the woman in difficulty, Fjorm takes the word: “I don’t know all the details but JP decided to find a way to help her regaining her memories little by little. Until now it was impossible to do something but right now we’re in a moment of peace so maybe he’ll start to work soon.” While Fjorm talks, Deirdre drink some water from the glass.

“Ow! It was just a suggestion Princess, and you don’t have to play if you don’t want to. I was just getting an idea of how everyone wanted to play. And believe me I know playing against you is useless, but Mark on the other hand. This guy is the luckiest man I’ve ever met in any world, he may end up winning every game.”

“Eh, maybe.” Mark said humbly. “And no, we’re not playing hands for unavoidable favors, I know where that ends up and I don’t like it.”

“Well, If we don’t have any real gold we can play with peanuts or small pretzels.” Joshua added. “How about that?”

Lyn listened well to what Deirdre had to say and she was very interested. But she did have things to say back.

“I don’t know what Mark told you, but you shouldn’t be afraid to meet them.” Lyn stated. “They love you and that’s all that really matters in the long run. I think you should at least try once and see what happens, it’s not going to kill you.”
