Guys, my hyper fixations are combining.

Ok. So. Realistically, I know this would never happen. But, what if Iaus (Innskeep) met the dads? Like, by some sort of fluke, Barrin and Odd get telleported over with the Omega dads and Iaus runs into the group. We'll say this is early Season 1 Dndads (like, after they have the map) and Season 2 of Dark Dice. Of course he doesn't trust them and he asks a few questions. After hearing about how they're looking for their sons, he tells them about what's going on with his son right now, and they decide to team up. First off, how he feels about all of them after getting to know all of them a little.

Ron Stampler: He's strange for a Rouge. He's a lot sweeter than he should be, considering that he's clearly been through some stuff. Iaus ends up opening up to him a bit more than he's willing to admit, and they generally get along.

Henry Oak: Iaus finds him a bit annoying. Henry is pretty prone to getting angry quickly, and Iaus is always on edge. So, that wouldn't mesh well. Especially since Henry is so against violence. Having to hurt people to defend yourself, get answers you need, or defend those you care about are givens for Iaus. I don't think he'd be annoyed at how much Henry loves his kids. He gets it. He'd definitely start to respect him more once he meets Berry (That is, if Iaus doesn't immediately kill the Omega Dads).

Daryl Willson: At first, Iaus isn't sure what to think. When Daryl tries to shake his hand, he refuses. But, when Iaus realizes he's not really that much of a threat, he lowers his guard slightly. I think Daryl kinda reminds him of Father Westpike [Iaus misses his friends. Despite the atrocities they may or may not have committed :( ]. Both of them having a kind smile, being generally understanding, and being the only nice religious people he knows. (Besides Lady Cavernsval, of course).

Glenn Close: The first thing Glenn dose when he sees him is say something along the lines of "Woahhh, you look sick as hell!!" I think they would get along. But, Glenn is touchy. Like, pats on the shoulder and stuff like that. Iaus flinches every time. Glenn would be one of the few people who's generally ok with Iaus being a little trigger happy. Also, Iaus would Love all of Glenn's crazy schemes.

There will be more, but I doubt that if I write any more that anyone will read it.

i do rly like the age range of characters this season tbh, like s1 was all late 30s-mid 40 year olds (the outliers being a demon and henry, who were both likely older than they thought they were due to originating from different realms, still mentally 30-40 though), s2 were all young, high school age teens (outliers being taylor at possibly 19 and lincoln at over 200 (technically still a teen though), still mentally teens though), and now in s3 we have a 16 year old, his 49 year old ex-teacher(who is drawn like a 70 yr old for some reason??), and two (afaik) undetermineds, likely around their 30s, with one being a maybe Italian drunk driver and the other being a slightly dissociative mother, and the mother and the teacher will probably kiss before we hit episode 10.

Some thoughts on Henry and the twins relationships after season 2 episode 48

Thinking about Code Purple being the one time Henry tells the twins he isn't proud of them or implies they aren't enough. How Larks relationship with Henry was severed by bad luck, but Henry choose to sever his relationship with Sparrow.

How Henry says this to the boys before he fights Barty

And how Henry's quote to Lark is:

"It's okay to be angry, it's never okay to be cruel".

And how Lark and Sparrow end up betraying him by being cruel to the world (Faerun). And how it's the time in the podcast we see him the most explicitly say no to Lark and Sparrow.

Season 1, Episode 49: Contact

Favorite moment: Grant and Darryl inch-worming across the ground. It's a beautiful visual moment for an auditory medium.

General thoughts:

Welcome to Jimmy! It is weird to hear someone else start the podcast, though.

So, this is a fun episode, if a bit slow, because it helps establish how all of the characters are going to interact with Jodie.

There are some great hilarious moments, like the dad huddle in the woods, all of Ron's lines and asides, and the funny (yet sad) conversation that Darryl has with Grant. I can just imagine them both inch-worming their way back to the campfire as they both cope with the new situation that is Jodie.

Then we get the joy of Glenn's workout routine and the start of his time at the Meth Bay supermax, which is great. They are totally right - if there was some sort of xp-gaining workout program thingy (which I'm sure exists), I bet a lot of people would hop on that. (I guess Zombies, Run is like that, which is a super fun running app with a story built in. Highly recommend if you're looking for something like that).

Next time... Off to the supermax to break Glenn out.
