#Definitely Arlo and Ansel coded

No surprise that Flapjack is an another staple in my childhood alongside Chowder, I'm rewatching it last year and earlier this year.

A day without laughter is one my favorite episodes, because of Flapjack and Lolly's friendship, it's was pretty sweet of Flap to help Lolly with his jokes and they kinda remind me of Arlo and Ansel from Netflix's Arlo but kinda goofy yet adorable.

Kinda wish we would see of more of their dynamic, would be a pretty wholesome to see a fun dynamic for the show to explore, even given Lolly more depth like the others in the show, but things happen.

Your Ansel headcanons, hand them over please

I’m glad y’all want to hear me talk about Ansel so much because I think about him all the time

- Ansel doesn’t really get how alligators work. he expects there to be more overlap between his and Arlo’s animal behaviors, but they definitely have more differences than similarities. he’s not used to Arlo loosing teeth all the time and shedding scales at random!! and Arlo gets surprised by some of Ansel’s habits, like stretching his leg and wing in unison and shaking out his wings to settle them

- Ansel will squawk when startled. he’s always embarrassed afterwards

- Ansel gets the urge to migrate on occasion. he doesn’t, however, since he has a human body and therefore can’t fly long distances, but he still makes a point to travel at least once a year

- he met Arlo’s mom on one of his trips, and being away from his life in the city made it easier for him to be open about his identity with her

- I honestly think the explanation for a birdman having an alligator son could be explained with the fact that birds and crocodilians belong to the same clade. if being a human-animal hybrid is controlled by a gene, maybe it’s possible for a bird-coding gene to mutate and end up coding for an alligator instead, given that crocodilians are the closest living relatives to birds
