Do you think this is just set-up for a different story? Or that this will continue as an affair/love triangle?

i think they’re rushing through this story and people finding out because max’s return stint is closer than we think. at this point i wouldn’t be surprised if that happened because phil told him the truth and ben calls to break it off with callum, maybe even suggest getting divorced.

do you think it's ooc? stans always say that when they don't like a story especially cal stans... your take?

i do think it’s ooc the way it’s being portrayed and explained on screen right now (and going by spoilers). this is a character who has repeated time and time again that loyalty and honesty are the most important things to him in a relationship. this is a character that couldn’t stomach getting with someone else either time they were broken up - even when he thought ben had cheated on him first. this is a character that was completely wracked by guilt after cheating on whitney. so much so that he confessed to her knowing that it would ruin the safety net he had created for himself. all because he couldn’t stand that he cheated and lied. cheating in itself i could buy if it were written differently. but a full-blown affair while his husband is in prison and very much still committed and in love?? that’s not in line with the character we’ve previously known.

your takes are high-key some of the best in the fandom lmao. i saw people talking about cal's lonely and johnny's been wearing him down but they barely interacted between the kiss last year and now 💀 and johnny only said all that stuff about callum's life cause he felt insecure about his relationship w felix being boring, it wasnt about manipulating callum imo

from what i could tell there was no manipulation going on and the whole thing definitely came out of nowhere (because of the ep change i’d guess) so yeah not everything has to have a deeper explanation. sometimes characters just behave like shit. everyone was always quick to point this out for ben so the same can go for callum

I read some of the Callum discourse on twitter and it kinda looks like a lot of fans are already going for the predatory Johnny angle... ngl won't be surprised if people start comparing him to Lewis and comparing Callum cheating to the r*pe buildup. I always like your takes so... what's your take on it? 👀

honestly, i haven’t watched in ages and i only see discussions on my twitter tl which is obviously curated and biased but it’s so funny to me that there’s still so many people that refuse to admit callum is flawed and just acts shitty sometimes. it seems to me they’re desperately searching for an excuse or explanation because they won’t admit to themselves that callum will cheat/have an affair because that’s not the image they have of him. like there must be a deeper meaning or story to it. but it doesn’t seem that way so they should just accept that callum is an asshole for this
