How I picked Jaejin to become my bias

It was because of Weekly Idol.

Fan of kpop groups that debuted or are active around the 2nd gen and early 3rd gen era (around 2010 to 2014) will definitely know Weekly idol. It was probably the best idol variety show to know more about a group that you are interested in. The best thing about the show is probably the hosts Jung Hyung Don and Defconn, who managed to work their magic and make even the most introverted/shyest idols warm up so that they could showcase their charming points & attract fans + make every episode hilarious such that you would watch an entire episode even if you didn't know the group at all.

The first Ft Island's weekly idol episode I watched was the episode that aired on 29 april 2015 when they are promoting pray.

Right from the get go, they were really funny because the members are familiar with the hosts. (they were from the same company) And the most hilarious part was when they performed with cg instruments for the "random play dance" segment but couldn't get pass the first song because there was so many mishaps occurring. By the end of the 25 minutes, I was sure that they are not normal beings and that each of the member are hilarious in their own way.

But I liked Jaejin the most as he seemed the most chill and omgosh his voice. I fell in love with his voice immediately ~~

Nowadays he is actively involved in musicals and I am really happy that he has a place to showcase his passion and talent for acting and singing at the same time.

Him being casted as arthur in the musical "vampire arthur" is such a perfect choice. His cuteness really shines through the character.

How does he still look so young, I really need to know. He looked almost the same as he did 10 years ago, or probably even better.

I must confess that this wasn't the ship that I shipped when I first became a primadonna. I shipped seungjin (seunghyun and jaejin) instead. But gosh, they ended up being the sweetest couple and outlived all the other ft island ships.

My thoughts while watching 2 days 1 night #122

(In which the gang welcomes Donggu to the show by playing in mud, doing quizzes about literature and eating delicious food)

Here we go~

- everyone wanting to be on the same team as Donggu ajhbfdaih (Taehyun sneakily hooking arms with him first my heart 💘 “I won’t let you go~“ 💘💘)

- Donggu has a lot of training devices at home, good to know~ 

- Ahh this is just me speaking but I don’t want them to show abs (>_<) Jongmin why did you do that?? dafadfuhad

- Donggu being a little mean and stealing the bulky ones for his team but losing them because he was too confident in the interview (Taehyun sneakily joining his team adfbhbgf)

- He considers loosing on purpose because he wants to use the triple bicycle ahhh how is he so cute??

- Taehyun’s entrance hahadsbad and the dramatic editing of Donggu getting beaten up by Defconn ajdfahfb (“pathological liar” hahaha)

- Junho running away from Jongmin and tagging the wrong team adfbaf

- this entire segment is so chaotic and violent and silly and I feel sorry for the poor referee (>w<)💕

- I like that Joonyoung shook hands with them afterwards though 💕

Okay so I’ve just watched the Comeback trailer for the new season of 2D1N and I’m kind of sad.

For all of you who don’t know what I’m talking about (assuming you’re new) or in need of a recap;

- jjy (I’m never saying his fucking name I’m so disgusted) got caught doing dumb and heartless shit. Like it’s disgusting what he did so I’m not gonna elaborate on that. I mean not his first time, either mind you. Because of this, KBS removed their previously recorded episodes (sorry I forgot his name but there was a trainee and it’s just sad that he was literally a potential member only to-) and was going to resume with the rest of them. BUT

- his group chats revealed this gambling scandal with Cha Taehyun and Kim Junho and they got roped into it too and they left their respective shows and dramas etc and are only just getting back into it now.

- so the programme with 2 members and a fucking dumbass down went on hiatus. I think it’s been since April now (?) but it’s been a long time (it’s now December)

ANYWAY

- Jongmin, reliable Jongmin decided to return to Season 4 however all remaining members including both Cha Taehyun and Kim Junho decide not to return.

It kind of makes me sad,

- As you can tell I’m disappointed in a particular person and now I’m wary of how people he’s been friends with and stuff reacted and how their well-being has been affected. I feel stupid for liking him and just EVERYTHING about that situation pisses me off.

- not to mention, I’m sorry for bringing these two up but Kim Joo Hyuk and Jonghyun were ^ his friends and to think, UGH I can’t even fathom how fucking angry I am. I feel fucking sorry to the victims and to the people who trusted them to act as decent human beings.

- I am content in the fact that I am able to see Donggu and defconn and such in dramas, other variety shows etc However not in the same light and I guess it’s selfish of me but- I’m not quite ready to let go of that yet. I think part of it is because it was so sudden, there was no goodbye or preparation, it was just straight up-‘fuck. Bye for a while.’ I was hoping that these members would return eventually and I hope one day that is still a possibility but I can’t help but feel slightly melancholic.

- 2D1N gave Donggu the opportunity to learn through variety shows and no doubt helped his acting career and the way he carries himself, Defconn acts differently on this show then on Idol Room/Weekly Idol and I’m sad that people don’t see him through this light. Jongmin, well he acts the same everywhere but I’m glad he’s continuing. Taehyun, I’ll miss his laugh and his words and just him I think, I miss him so much already. And Kim Junho, hilarious man. I miss that too.

- but despite that, and my slight unwillingness to continue on without these members, I’m happy to see where the programme goes with these new members and I’m excited to see where it leads to.
