I think about death of the family all the time when Damian tried to give his life to save Bruce’s because he saw himself as less important to their mission and then when he was kidnapped and drugged the Joker he, in his ten year old mind somehow came to terms with the fact that someone may have butchered his face and he’d have to live with that for the rest of his life.

“I can take it.” No, you can’t… but you couldn’t possibly take that Damian…
