Introducing the Dawnclan deputies versus the Duskclan senior warriors council!

The deputy system works differently in each clan from each other and from Warriors canon, so I’ll include a bit of context (and some introductions to these characters) below.

Dawnclan:

Three deputies are chosen upon the election of a new leader; one chosen by the leader, one chosen by the clans elders and one chosen by the healers. Deputies manage patrols, camp upkeep and oversee training between themselves. If a deputy retires or dies they may choose and train their replacement, otherwise the two remaining deputies will decide for them. When the leader dies/retires the new leader is voted for by any fully named warrior/healer from the pool of deputies. The current deputies include:

Windwhisper, the youngest deputy (35 moons), a social she-cat who likes to stay current with clan gossip/news which informs her decisions as a deputy. She primarily organises hunting and border patrols.

Morningstorm, the oldest deputy (108 moons), who was Magpiestars controversial choice of deputy upon her election (because he killed Burningstar, the previous Duskclan leader, as he was healing). He is externally cold but is surprisingly patient in his role of overseeing apprentice training.

Drizzleleaf, the other one (57 moons), who was selected and trained by the deputy he replaced. They are known for being fidgety and awkward and feel like they have to compete with the younger Windwhisper to have enough cats to properly defend their clan. They are in charge of Dawnclan’s camp defenses.

Duskclan:

Since Duskclan’s leadership succession follows the line of clerics/healers, Duskclan lacks the traditional deputy role. Instead a group of senior warriors, known as the council, decide matters such as patrols, battle strategy and apprenticeships. This council selects their own replacements when a member retires/dies which needs to be approved by the leader. It’s common for the kits of council members to be mentored by other council members and later be selected for the position. The current members include:

Slugbelly, one of the kinder members but only when seperate from the rest. He’s known for his humour which is often given at the expense of others and for ultimately following the group consensus with little independent thought.

Willowwind, the only she cat of the group and one of the more senior warriors. She’s uptight and pedantic, almost obsessive over following the clans rules and traditions. As a young warrior she discovered her kin in a cross clan relationship that bore a kit; not wishing to shame her family she kept the secret and the kit was raised in Dawnclan. She’s never been able to look at Windwhisper in the eye since.

Stoatbite, the oldest member with the most power over decisions. He’s incredibly experienced, particularly in battle and has a strong distrust of cats outside of Duskclan, as well as being known for his recklessness and arrogance.

Thunderclaw, a generically xenophobic older warrior who is strict and severe, believing of the effectiveness of “tough love” which he extends to his kits. Ironically he gained his position entirely though nepotism and has experienced little in terms of severe hardship.

Dappledshade, the newest and youngest council member. He considers it an honour to be included with his young age and although he has some discomfort with the views of the other members he lacks the backbone to stand up to them. Well liked and popular amongst other young warriors and is a bit of a player.

DAWNCLAN - MOON 1 (PART 1)

So much grief and death has taken its toll on the cats of DawnClan. Cloudypaw is particularly shaken by it.

CURRENT MEMBERS OF DAWNCLAN

Cloudypaw (10m) - a pale grey/golden tortie she-cat with one bronze eye and one cyan eye. [compassionate, oddly insightful, and curious about StarClan]

Lilacpaw (8m) - a long-furred ginger/light brown tortie she-cat with amber eyes. [fierce, confident with words, and careful listener]

Ferretkit (4m) - a white tom with hazel eyes. [know-it-all and picky nest builder]

The remnants of the once-mighty StrikeClan, SwiftClan, and SneakClan, whose original territories were lost to a devastating, strange onslaught of fungi (ophiocordyceps unilateralis) that swept through the ranks of the former three Clans, infecting many and leaving little behind. Those who did survive managed to band together and flee to the mountains, taking on the name DawnClan as a marker of their history, for the time in which they officially fled destruction, and to indicate the dawning of their new way of life. Working together has already proven to be a task not easily undergone, however, even within the very first moon of their creation, what with them having to acclimate to new Clanmates, new leadership, new neighbors, and a new territory, amongst so much more…

Enter: DawnClan x2! :D A new ClanGen that I’m sticking with this time hshjdjf. It’s going to be entirely out of my hands, run solely by various generators and the ClanGen game itself! I’m just going to sit back and observe, watch them grow, and document it (while filling in the gaps for story purposes,, or renaming various litters bc I love themed litters ^^) for our collective viewing pleasure!

I forgot to say this earlier, but I started a new clangen blog! I will try to continue AuroraClan's story, but I will mainly be focusing on my new blog as the new clan is starting with only a few cats (making it easier to draw)

This cat, with "luck" in her name, has been injured by a human trap THREE TIMES, AND got attacked by a dog

First ten moons of Dawn clan content, Nothing much happenes in the first moon but in the second moon Otterstar decides to fist fight a dog and gets himself seriously hurt. On a patrol lead by the deputy they find snuggles a kittypet who to fit in with the clan takes the name snugglespeckle. Snugglespeckle is immediately down bad for Leafheart the clan deputy who found her.

The next few moons have a smattering of smaller events are chaotic in moon for Dawnclan finds a stinky injured old man named Beeheart and adopts them instantly because apparently this is just what we do now. In moon 6 Lavenderpaw our founding apprentice becomes a warrior and gets the name Lavenderspike but I changed it to lavender bloom because I didn’t want the RNG to do my girl dirty like that. Otterstar also recovers from fighting the dog in moon 6 only for this idiot to turn around and fistfight another dog in moon 8 to protect the stinky old man and get the exact same injury like a dummy. Otterstar really hates dogs I suppose. Cavepool & Lizardclaw also just start dating which is good because Lizardclaw needs a sweet partner to keep him from doing warcrimes.

In moon 9 poor old woman Coniferfeather freezes to death and ends up joining star clan but in less horrid news Leafheart comes out as trans and this is no problem for Snugglespeckle who finally confesses her crush to Leafheart who reciprocates and the two become mates. They are wives your honor and I’m so pleased about it.

That’s Dawnclan’s first 10 moons. I’m already loved this game but doing the doodles makes me slow Down and pay more attention. Also it’s just fun to draw cute kitties so now tumblr has to deal with it.
