Some gifs for my recent map part featuring Stoatpaw, his recently murdered mother Wetawhisker and his biological aunt/adoptive mother Doespring.
Had a lot of fun with this part, I think I’m getting the hang of editing slowly too.

Olivewish | Thunderclan Medicine cat | 22 moons | she/her
Olivewish is the reclusive Medicine cat of thunderclan, she was chosen for the position due to her odd eye-color and her time of birth (leaf-bare). She’s very good at her job, but doesn’t provide any comfort for her patients due to her aloof and “unfeeling” nature. She’s regarded as odd due to her stiff posture, blunt comments, and un-wavering eye contact. She was once an excitable and talkative kit, but still possessed a lot of strange mannerisms, which didn’t fit with her divine status, at times, she was even seen as “pidgey”, a strange and undesirable quality, as put by Thunderclan. This made her the target of endless teasing, though her high-status gave her a degree of protection from the other apprentices. Despite this, she was never safe from the relentless criticism of other divine cats. She gradually become cold and dismissive, losing her original nature in the process. She now only cares about her duty as a medicine cat, and nothing else, not even her own well-being. The only cats she seems to tolerate are her mother, Blisterfall, despite her low status within the clan, and an equally reclusive and aloof warrior, Stoatbite, who is one of Marrowstar’s top warriors, his status allows him to spend most of his time sleeping in the Medicine den, eating the loose herbs, which surprisingly, doesn’t seem to upset Olivewish.

Harepaw - Thunderclan Apprentice - Tom - 13 moons
Mother: Lavendersong
Father: Sparktooth
Sister: Petalpaw
Brother: Sunfang
Harepaw was born to Lavendersong, who despite having little interest in her clan, was born divine. His father, Sparktooth is not divine, possessing no physical abnormalities. Sparktooth has worked incredibly hard and shown his loyalty to Thunderclan time and time again, making him the most high-ranking non-divine cat. He was born with his littermate, Petalpaw, who possessed no abnormalities. Harepaw, on the other hand, was born with not only an abundance of extra toes but also a bobtail. He was declared the chosen one who would one day protect thunderclan from the outside world. His Father was very proud of him, but also extremely hard on in, he expected only the best from his only divine kit. Sunfang, Harepaw’s older brother does not fancy him at all, he’s incredibly jealous of his father’s praise, and his Mother’s attention. He was given two mentors because of his importance, Frogheart, for hunting, who was generally kind to his apprentice and congratulated him relentlessly, and Stoatbite, a quite and aloof warrior for fighting. Stoatbite has a habit of being too rough with Harepaw or forgetting about their sections in favour of napping in the medicine cat den. The only other apprentice is his sister, Petalpaw, who has never really liked her brother, as she’s felt inferior to him since birth. Harepaw doesn’t have much interest in becoming leader, or defending Thunderclan, he’d much rather become a medicine cat, but he’d never admit it, it’s not his destiny.

Introducing the Dawnclan deputies versus the Duskclan senior warriors council!
The deputy system works differently in each clan from each other and from Warriors canon, so I’ll include a bit of context (and some introductions to these characters) below.
(thanks to @nanistar who I adopted Windwhispers design from, isn’t she pretty??)
Dawnclan:
Three deputies are chosen upon the election of a new leader; one chosen by the leader, one chosen by the clans elders and one chosen by the healers. Deputies manage patrols, camp upkeep and oversee training between themselves. If a deputy retires or dies they may choose and train their replacement, otherwise the two remaining deputies will decide for them. When the leader dies/retires the new leader is voted for by any fully named warrior/healer from the pool of deputies. The current deputies include:
Windwhisper, the youngest deputy (35 moons), a social she-cat who likes to stay current with clan gossip/news which informs her decisions as a deputy. She primarily organises hunting and border patrols.
Morningstorm, the oldest deputy (108 moons), who was Magpiestars controversial choice of deputy upon her election (because he killed Burningstar, the previous Duskclan leader, as he was healing). He is externally cold but is surprisingly patient in his role of overseeing apprentice training.
Drizzleleaf, the other one (57 moons), who was selected and trained by the deputy he replaced. They are known for being fidgety and awkward and feel like they have to compete with the younger Windwhisper to have enough cats to properly defend their clan. They are in charge of Dawnclan’s camp defenses.
Duskclan:
Since Duskclan’s leadership succession follows the line of clerics/healers, Duskclan lacks the traditional deputy role. Instead a group of senior warriors, known as the council, decide matters such as patrols, battle strategy and apprenticeships. This council selects their own replacements when a member retires/dies which needs to be approved by the leader. It’s common for the kits of council members to be mentored by other council members and later be selected for the position. The current members include:
Slugbelly, one of the kinder members but only when seperate from the rest. He’s known for his humour which is often given at the expense of others and for ultimately following the group consensus with little independent thought.
Willowwind, the only she cat of the group and one of the more senior warriors. She’s uptight and pedantic, almost obsessive over following the clans rules and traditions. As a young warrior she discovered her kin in a cross clan relationship that bore a kit; not wishing to shame her family she kept the secret and the kit was raised in Dawnclan. She’s never been able to look at Windwhisper in the eye since.
Stoatbite, the oldest member with the most power over decisions. He’s incredibly experienced, particularly in battle and has a strong distrust of cats outside of Duskclan, as well as being known for his recklessness and arrogance.
Thunderclaw, a generically xenophobic older warrior who is strict and severe, believing of the effectiveness of “tough love” which he extends to his kits. Ironically he gained his position entirely though nepotism and has experienced little in terms of severe hardship.
Dappledshade, the newest and youngest council member. He considers it an honour to be included with his young age and although he has some discomfort with the views of the other members he lacks the backbone to stand up to them. Well liked and popular amongst other young warriors and is a bit of a player.

“Young apprentice Kowhaipaw has always felt like an outsider amongst her clanmates— her blood connection to housecats viewed with mistrust.
When her traditional visit to Starclan’s sacred key reveals a quest entrusted to her, Kowhaipaw is certain of her goal. She must return to her birthplace to discover the beginning of the clans— and maybe her own true potential along the way.”
—most generic Warriors book blurb of all time, it gets more interesting I swear
Here she is! I‘d felt inspired to make one of these mock covers for Kowhaipaw and the gang ever since I’d seen @/planefood ‘s brilliant work seen here. The og Wayne McLoughlin covers still hold a very special place in my heart.
I don’t plan to make any writing’s for this theoretical warriors oc series, but the concept was really fun! Maybe I’ll do a super edition mockup featuring Doespring or Stoatbite sometime down the line.
Here’s the original sketch btw! I wish I’d kept more of the progress to show, but unfortunately I have a slightly chaotic proccess of deleting/merging/drawing over layers as I go and the earlier stages are buried now, rip.

Working on a lil pmv focusing on the apprentice lives of a few of my Duskclan ocs (mainly Doespring, Stoatbite, Lichenflower and Kowhaipaw). I’m hoping to finish it in a month or so :)
This shot features young cleric’s apprentice Doepaw with her sister Wētāpaw and newcomer ex-housecat Tūīpaw.

Another pair of reference sheets, featuring my favourite pos Stoatbite :)
Lichenflower
Lichenflower's mother died of illness when he was a kit and as a result he spent much time in the medicine den during his kit hood as he recovered. Eventually Lichenkit became fascinated by the knowledge of the head cleric Doespring, becoming her apprentice at 6 moons. His half sister Kowhaipaw, born to his estranged/exiled father, is the most important person in his life. Lichenflower worries that Kowhaipaw’s alienation due to her kittypet blood will strengthen under Cricketthroat's mentorship.
Stoatbite
Stoatbite is the son of Doespring and Tuistar, the two most important cats in Duskclan. He sits at the head of the senior warriors council and is a highly revered warrior, known by some as "Dawnbreaker" for ending the life of Dawnclan's past leader. Although he's an agile and skilled strategist sometimes his arrogance gets the best of him, earning him many scars. Being in such a highly ranked position for so long means he expects subservience from nearly everyone, bar clerics. He also carry's many typical clan prejudices, especially against town cats.

Louixie’s Ghibli themed map inspired me to make this piece of Stoatpaw and Autumnpaw, characters of mine I haven’t drawn before. It was a lot of fun, I’m pretty happy with the result. :)

Full story below! Incredibly lengthy because I don't know how to paraphrase.
TW for description of animal death (non explicit, but just in case)
The first panel shows the early childhoods of Doekit and Wetakit, born to the high-ranking senior warrior Earthfur. Earthfur never discloses who their father is, although it's highly speculated by their clanmates to be Burningstar, despite having a mate and (adult) kit already.
The second panel shows the apprenticeship of the two kits, Doepaw training to be a healer underneath Tideshimmer (silver tabby) They discover a lost housecat drowning in an ice-covered lake and he is brought back to the clan (black and white cat) and healed by the two healers.
Tideshimmer decides the housecats black with white coat and resemblance to the Tuī bird (considered sacred by Duskclan) as an omen that this housecat has great potential and decides to accept him as a new apprentice under the name Tuīpaw.
Doepaw is reverted to being a warrior apprentice under Stonepelt (grey tabby) and is greatly upset and ashamed by this. She resents both her old and new mentors for the change and Tuīpaw most of all, especially as she feels betrayed after helping save him.
The final panel shows the birth of two kits, Yewkit (white w/ brown) and Stoatkit (ginger) as separate single kit litters to Doespring and Wetawhisker respectively. Yewkit is born first, sired by an undisclosed rouge, but is born sickly and dies within weeks of her birth. Stoatkit is sired by Tuīsong, who is now the sole medicine cat with Tidestar having become leader (healers succeed leadership in Duskclan).
Doespring mourns Yewkit and grows envious of Wetawhisker and Tuīsong's successful relationship and child, especially with Tuisong's healer position. She lures her sister out to the frozen lake not long after Stoatkit's birth where she knows the ice is thin and leaves her stranded, where she drowns after breaking through ice when she attempts to walk back ashore. Tuīsong confronts Doespring soon after (not knowing what happened) and Doespring attacks him, bludgeoning his head against a rock and making him lose consciousness.
She drags his body back to camp and claims that Wetawhisker, who was known to be reckless, had ran across the ice before Doespring could stop her and accidentally broke through. Tuīsong, who was nearby, attempted to rescue her but fell down the rocky slope to the lake in his panic, hitting his head. This is believed as Doespring was very close to her sister and the clan feels a great deal of sympathy for her, especially after the death of her kit.
Tuīsong is healed by Tidestar with Doespring's help, but is never the same, becoming reclusive and nearly non-verbal as a result of grief, shock and head-trauma. When Tidestar dies in another "freak accident" a few moons later he becomes leader and with no other option Doespring is reinstated as a healer.
Stoatkit is adopted and nursed by Doespring and never learns about Wetawhisker, believing Doespring and Tuīstar to be his parents.
Doespring’s childhood and early adulthood :) it goes top left, right, bottom left chronologically. Featuring designs from aposematic (grey tabby bottom right) and Opinionated-Rose (brown tabby centre) that I received in a discord art trade

Some more information of Duskclan's clerics! I had a lot of fun drawing out these locations and I even gave the characters slight redesigns :)
I wrote out a ton of info on clerics so beware of a massive wall of text below!
-Moon Key: The Moon Key is Duskclan’s place of worship. It is a tiny rocky island across the coast from the Riversroots that can only be accessed when the tide is out revealing a sandbank stretching out to it from the shore. Clerics visit whenever the peak of the moon’s journey coincides with the low tide, meaning they often visit during the day. Only clerics, leaders can visit regularly, although all newly named warriors and apprentices will visit the Moon Key to seek Starclan’s approval for their new name.
-Cleric’s Hollow: The hollow is a semicircle of boulders in the centre of Duskclan’s camp, separated from it by a narrow stream. It contains a cave underneath two boulders which serves as both a den and as herb storage. Clan meetings are called from the boulder above this cave. It’s generally considered disrespectful to visit the hollow unless for injuries or for serious matters as Duskclan considers a cleric’s work to be incredibly important and not to be disrupted.
Clerics:
Clerics:
The clerics are the most important role within the clan as both healers through their medicinal herb knowledge as well as being considered the ‘voice’ of Starclan as mediums. The cleric’s duty is to interpret the will of Starclan through signs and prophecies and communicate this to the rest of the clan.
-Cleric apprentices: Cleric apprentices are chosen by head clerics and then approved by the leader. It is not necessary that they have a proven connection to Starclan prior to apprenticeship as they will be trained to interpret signs later in their apprenticeship. Once receiving their full names apprentices typically take over the bulk of the healing role; this includes collecting herbs, assessing the health of elders, kits and queens and healing small injuries and illnesses. However some cleric apprentices can be considered unsuitable for the role and never receive a full name as a cleric, such as Doespring who was stripped down to warrior apprentice status.
-Head clerics: Head clerics are the next in line for leadership. Depending on whether they have an apprentice determines the amount of responsibilities a head cleric will have. The main role of the head cleric is interpreting the will of Starclan, but if there is no fully named apprentice then the cleric also carries the healing role. Due to the size of this role head clerics will often take on part-time apprentices. These apprentices take on small parts of the healing role such as gathering and organizing herbs in between their warrior training. Mottledpelt and Stoatbite both briefly carried out this role during their apprenticeships.
-Leaders: Duskclan is deeply religious and considers it important that leaders are fully trained to communicate with Starclan. Although leaders do not traditionally carry out the roles of the clerics from leadership exceptions are sometimes made. Burningstar is an example as he continued to use his medicinal knowledge to heal on the battlefield as leader.
-Mates and Kits: It is allowed for a cleric to have a mate and kits under the circumstances that 1) there is at least one other cleric (head or apprentice) at the time and 2) they take a vow to Starclan to view any such attachments as of secondary importance to their cleric role.

Tuistar
Starlight - Tuipaw - Tuisong - Tuistar
-Duskclan leader
-He /him
-120 moons
-Mentor: Tideshimmer (star) (past)
-Mate: Doespring, Son: Stoatbite
Tuistar is considered a mysterious figure in the eyes of the clan. Little is known about his past, or the origin of his scars, and he confides very little in anyone outside of his mate Doespring, not even to his son, spending most time away from camp. Despite this, Tuistar is a well respected leader due to the duration of his leadership and the difficulties he’s managed to lead his clan out of.

Harepaw | Thunderclan apprentice | he/him | 13 moons
Harepaw is Thunderclan’s golden boy, born to a divine she-cat and a high ranking tom he was quickly made the fixation of the higher-ups. His stubby tail and many extra toes deemed him the second most divine cat in the clan, after Cottonmoon, or course. He was given two official mentors, Frogjaw, a kind-hearted and loyal warrior, and Stoatbite, an aloof and aggressive tom, who often left his training in favour of eating poppyseeds from the medicine cat den, in which case, Silverheart, the clan deputy, would fill in for him. Harepaw much prefers Silverheart’s training, anyways. Harepaw’s father, Sparktooth, has always been hard on him, his siblings envy his attention, preventing them from understanding the pressure he puts upon him. Whenever Harepaw messes up a move or scares of prey while training, he’s given anything from a disappointing glance to a whack on the head, and then it’s never spoken of, everyone in Thunderclan expects him to be perfect, he’s even expected to become deputy once Marrowstar dies and Silverheart becomes leader. Harepaw finds solace in Cottonmoon, who has taken on an elder-sisterly role for the tom, she believes in him more than any other cat, but Harepaw often wonders if it’s really him that she likes, or what he’s expected to become.
Mother: Lavendergaze
Father: Sparktooth
Brothers: Sunfang, Sootkit ✝
Sister: Petalpaw
