The Worlds Dawn a Second Time

Well, it's happening again. Being strives against nonbeing, gaming against nongaming. Dawn of Worlds is designed to aid the winning side of this perennial struggle.

Do you want to play god? Do you want to write rather more fervently than you intended? Do you want to roll some dice, but not too many? Do you want to do all that from the comfort of your Tumblr account? Dawn of Worlds can help with that, too.

ENTER this Discord server with a loose concept for a DEITY or ANALOGOUS ENTITY to become a PLAYER in Dawn of Worlds (casual play-by-post TTRPG about creating a fantasy world, one turn per week for about 15 turns total).

COLLABORATE with your fellow deities (hopefully about 5–8, four playing already) to have a damn good time in Dawn of Worlds.

USE your deific powers in accordance with the simple and newly improved Dawn of Worlds ruleset (see bottom of post) to shape lands, bring forth Entities, carve civilizations, visit catastrophes, and smear the whole thing with a heaping dollop of MYTH and HISTORY to make Dawn of Worlds a rousing success. Again.

This game will take place in a new and unrelated paracosm with limitations on post length, so don't worry that you'll have to write a novel or anything like that.

We'll establish god concepts, etc., over the coming week and play proper will begin next Sunday (July 14, 2024). Turns will end/begin on Sunday, but don’t worry excessively about posting an action a day or so late.

The annals of the previous game are stored here for the perusal of interested deities, innocent bystanders, and those who are not yet deities but may become so by an acausal act of creative will, being torn from the thigh of another god, or spontaneous separation from watery chaos.

Create Order (8) The mother's womb is barren. The mother longs to reunite with us. Thus we join with her by will and severed horn.

CHI A ASH founds the Cults of Ecstatic Unity. Meeting on sunny plateaus, her followers conduct orgiastic rituals. They are commanded to ritually dull their horns, eschew personal space, and argue only for sport.

Purify City (4) CHI A ASH gives to her followers a gift: a gnarled black root, which, when planted, grows into a stubby tree. The bark of this tree, when smoked, is a powerful entactogen. Her Cults are commanded to plant the seed of this tree, the Tree of Wisdom, far and wide.
