2. Favourite holiday movie:

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. For Alan Rickman having such fun as The Sheriff of Nottingham and totally knocking Kevin Costner off the screen, and of course, cancelling Christmas, haha.

And who agreed to the casting of Sean Connery. with his Scottish accent, turning up as the King of England?

The entire movie is full of questionable accents, and is so campy and unintentionally hilarious.

guardians of the galaxy was so awesome, it had me bawling my eyes out so many times. it's quite an accomplishment, i'm not much of a fan of these movies (i hate starlord), but it was so good. i wonder where they'll go from there, since two of my fave characters aren't returning so i'm curious for the future of the guardians!!! i'll miss the dynamic between mantis and drax so much, i loved them.

the wild robot is amazing 10/10 cried a river for it. the art style is beautifulllll. i want to be adopted by roz and baymax <3

thank god i watched top gun maverick with my dad, the only thing i knew from the OG movie is the danger zone song so i was lost (i tried watching the original on my own, i didn't pay much attention to anything else but the use of take my breath away like 5 different times within 10 minutes and i support! <3 but WOAH the casting of goose and his son rooster was spot on). it was really good! and it redeemed miles teller for me, i've held an irrational grudge against him since my divergent phase so, again, that's an accomplishment. i can see why this movie got so much hype, it's deserved.

venom the last dance was fun. big slimy monster boyfriend, love that for eddie. i liked all the venoms joining in for the big battle, that was so cool! i realized just now that i have not watched let there be carnage. maybe that will be a new movie i'll watch soon... like within the next 3 years.

honourable mention to lego: batman. not a first watch but always a fantastic watch!!!!!!!!!

Os fãs ansiosos para o AyerCut de Esquadrão Suicida podem contar os dias para ver o corte do diretor! O assunto voltou a ser comentado após o diretor David Ayer postar uma foto do Coringa de Jared Leto no Twitter e ser catucado por um fã que disse que o filme "foi lançado em 2016". O diretor aproveitou para responder o fã e desabafar sobre como lida com toda a situação, ele disse:

“Qual é o seu conselho para passar por essa situação graciosamente? Muitas pessoas têm curiosidade e interesse genuínos, e estou ciente de que há outro grupo de pessoas que se diverte zoando com o filme. Seu comentário é um exemplo perfeito de quantos são magneticamente atraídos para a discussão do filme de 2016 de forma negativa. Você já teve alguma experiência na vida que não saiu do jeito que você queria, que te arrastou e fez repensar tudo?

Eu tive.

Tudo o que sei é que meu filme inédito é muito melhor do que o lançado pelo estúdio. O interesse em mostrar meu corte parece real e orgânico. E Gunn me disse que chegará a hora de ser compartilhado. Ele absolutamente merece lançar seu universo DC sem mais drama sobre projetos antigos.

De certa forma, estou acorrentado a essa coisa. Estou montando um tigre aqui e passando por esta situação da melhor forma que posso. A vida é uma jornada muito estranha.”

O movimento do diretor para o AyerCut ganhou força em 2020, quando o mesmo disse que a versão que chegou aos cinemas é diferente de seu corte original. Vale lembrar que aconteceu um movimento parecido com o SnyderCut da Liga da Justiça, que é o corte do diretorZack Snyder de Liga da Justiça que foi lançado em 2017.

Também é importante lembrar antes de se tornar presidente do DC Studios, James Gunn disse que estaria “de boa” se a Warner quisesse lançar o Ayer Cut, já que ele fez a versão mais recente de Esquadrão Suicida.

YES YOU GOT LOU AGAIN!!!!! it might have been my fault, i crossed my fingers and really hoped you'd get him 😌 i spun the wheel a shameful amount of times and when it didn't land on lou, i told myself it was a sign you would get him instead... sorry not sorry xoxo the mix of characters you got is chef's kiss. butttttt i can't lie, i would have loved to see your take on all the other ones you didn't choose, especially danny! 👀

holden: joe the bread man, the icon that he is <3 "Holden is left feeling like he had made a worthy friend. That this person.. understands him. For years he has yearned for that and for once in his pathetic life his wish has been answered." oh this was beautiful. this little drabble felt like watching the entire movie, this is holden in all of his whiny and needy (& horny) glory. this has to be the scrapped version of the script before they brought justine into the story, right? yeah, that's what i thought. no but seriously, this was so spot-on. and holden making them pay for the hotel he's begging them to go to, i cackled. that was the best conclusion.

lou: i was sold already with the warning that it was a date only in lou's mind, yum. *gordon ramsay voice* some good fucking food. i reiterate what i wrote last time, you know lou better than he knows himself. i read his date three times in a row. you capture him so perfectly, it feels so specific and true to his character. referring to them as 'his interest' is brilliant. their not-so mild skepticism was perfect! such a good decision to go this way rather than choose obliviousness. the best way to describe this story is coyote. the stalking, the perfect timing to pounce. that was so coyote-like. (my source about coyote behaviour is jake, so... yeah, that's valid enough). ahhhhhh i loved this so much!!!

jimmy: "he tumbled around in his bubble" oh jimmy baby :( his awe and amazement for everything, the funny feeling in his stomach, asking if this is a date. oh my god. these few paragraphs redeemed the whole movie for me. this was so sweet, to see the world through the jimmy's bubbly perspective. i'm so glad you gave him this date, it was the best use of the line dancing prompt. i'm very glad i read it before i read lou's date, i would have gotten serious whiplash.
