Today in my Uni media class we had the age old debate about Tom Cruise with the two key points being:

Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick (Good)

Scientology (Bad)

Based on this my new theory if is that if Tom Cruise ever makes a movie that is even slightly bad his career will be over because of the Scientology thing.

Also learned that a lot of people don't know his best buddy David Miscavige ~ Allegedly ~ has his wife (Shelly Miscavige) locked in a basement somewhere

Kind of a misleading headline here, but I think that's partially because it was a live reaction video and he wasn't aware of what was going to be said.

The video is Aaron Smith-Levin reacting to an interview with Ishmael Bey regarding Scientology's attempts to prey upon the Black community, and Nation of Islam members specifically.

The video details how L Ron Hubbard was devoted to the Satanist, Aleister Crowley, took many ideas from Black Magick, changed the names and used them in Scientology on its members. Gonna post a scorching hot take: Scientologists deserve your compassion. Yes, you read that right. Scientology itself is a wretched, evil institution and one of the worst cults around. It should be destroyed. Abolish prisons but also David Miscavige should be in jail.

But the people in it deserve empathy. Read up on the celebrities that are members. A common pattern will emerge: 1) they were raised in it and don’t know anything else 2) they were former drug addicts and Scientology got its hooks in them at the very beginning of their recovery 3) they were raised in an abusive household and/or heavily religious household 4) someone they loved and trusted brought them in.

Scientology targeted people who were already very susceptible to cults. They specifically targeted celebrities as part of their recruitment tactics. They collect tons and tons of personal information on their members in order to blackmail them. When someone tries to leave (such as Leah Remini) they cut them off from their own family and refuse all future contact. And who knows what other threats they make…

In the 2000's, Issac Hayes, Musician and the voice of Chef during the early era of South Park, approached Scientology leader David Miscavige as to why they weren't doing more to court black Americans which led to Miscavigout reaching out to the Nation of Islam. And as bat shit crazy as that sounds and is, it's also strangely appropriate. Birds of a feather, flock together. In 2010, the Nation of Islam began promoting the “benefits” of Dianetics, the core set of ideas preached by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.

When I found out about the strange yet seamless alliance that exists between Scientology and The Nation of Islam, I had a creepy picture of Louis Farakan and David Miscavige shaking hands emerge.

And then I couldn't help but think that, "Well what choice do Xenu and Yakub have but join forces as well and battle them together?" And then I went to fiddle about Imagine AI until I was able to get it to shit me out an image of that picture in my head.

There aren't a lot of renderings of either out there, and this isn't an exact match with what exists but this variation in particular spoke to me and made me giggle - and hus I amused myself in the process of mining this image and sharing it with whomever may see it if nothing else.

YouTube just recommended me a video calling tc “the real american psycho”, seemingly implying that he’s the same as a murderer for… being a cult victim and acting slightly erratic. The video had like 5 million views too. I will always hate christain bale for saying that his performance in american psycho was inspired by Tom. i dont know if you're the same person as the last anon who left a long message abt tom in my inbox but i just wanted to say that either way its. really touching to me that you said that about me (people like [me] bringing the truth). i keep letting myself forget how serious i take this because nobody in my personal life seems to take it seriously. i got so invested in this that i was inconsolable for a week when mike rinder passed away. not only did i want to interview him, but i deeply admired his story and commitment to the truth. but i also admire his grown personal life - i dont think cult victims should have to dedicate themselves to "exposing the horrors" just to be considered acceptable.
