Greetings from Hampstead - as of 9:30-ish British Summer Time (Sunday 30 April) - young Harry Styles was in London. Spotted heading towards Kenwood House, assuming on his way to swim at the Men’s Pond but that is just an assumption.
In non-1D travel news, also landing in London this weekend was New York Times bestseller Deborah Harkness (A Discovery of Witches).
And some Everything But The Girl news is they have a new album out and I keep spotting Tracey Thorn coming out of Kenwood House.
No recent sightings of Mel C.
But did meet Jason Issacs and David Nichols amongst others at a World Book Night event.
GHF x
Hello, darling. Thank you for the updates!! Super glad to know H is in London so we don’t have to worry about the Met Gala. I saw a rumor that Louis was spotted at the airport as well.

Cancer – “everything is going to be okay
At one point it will be too late to put more oil in your lamps – every drop matters now – but remember that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ we will all be ok.
That is the greatest power on earth
Here is your reminder that the Atonement of Jesus Christ covers so many more things than just repentance or helping with forgiveness – it is also there to help us gather strength when filled with pain or sorrow, help us know that we are not alone even in the darkness of our mental health.
Gather and focus light
God with infinite knowledge, love, and glory
We cannot share our oil but we can share His light
We need more holy and revelatory experiences
He is the reason why there is never an end to our story
Eternal Life is Eternal Joy
Look to Jesus Christ and Live – like the story about the people of moses looking to the snake on a staff

Face blindness from being shot
How do you suffer from spiritual faceblindness?
Do you see Heavenly Fathers love and mercy, or a thicket of rules and thorns?
Spiritual faceblindness = seeing the rules but not recognizing God’s love
Can you sometimes only lipsync and not sing the song of redeeming love?
Does this activity/lesson help people see Jesus?
Also are we being inclusive in how we are presenting the activity/lesson?
Pray and study to see who He is and what He loves
God is completely devoted to His children in every age and nation
They are not rules to earn His love – He already loves you perfectly!
We worship our Father and not a formula
Covenants are the shape of God’s embrace

Felt it was about time to go back to church for the sake of their children
Anything broken can be mended with Jesus Christ
The decision of one will impact whole generations
Not just from someone choosing to leave – also because of what caused them to leave
We should always be asking where will this lead?
Decisions, impact on self and future generations etc.
Shouldn’t we be more valiant and less lukewarm
High on the Mountain Top

What is the purpose of this gathering?
Protection of the covenant people

Compassion is an attribute of Christ, it demonstrates love to others and knows no boundaries
God will guide you in compassionate acts of discipleship
True compassion is more than merely flinging a coin to a beggar, it comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs reconstructuring- MLK
Compassion does not require us to know them, it only requires us to love them.

Fullness of the Doctrine of Jesus Christ
Heavenly Father loves all His children so much, that He wants us all to live in a kingdom of glory forever.

¿Me acompañan?
I Will Follow
Destaca el corito "If you walk away walk away I will follow" que lo encuentras en (Rt 1:16): "But Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God." → “Pero Rut respondió: -No me pidas que te deje y regrese a mi pueblo. A dónde tú vayas iré; dondequiera que tú vivas, yo viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios será mi Dios” NTV.
With or Without You
La clásica frase "See the thorn twist in your side" la encontramos en (2 Cor12:7): "To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me."
October
NTV.
“I Still Haven´t Found What I´m Looking For”
En "He'll be your shelter from the storm" Proviene del (Sal 55:8) "I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm."
Y en "I have spoken with the tongue of angels" de (1 Cor 13:1) "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal." NTV.
Sunday Bloody Sunday
tiene mucho que revizar, "Trenches dug within our hearts, And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart" lo encuentras en (Mt10:35): "For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."; (En palabras de Jesús) “He venido a poner a un hombre contra su padre, a una hija contra su madre y a una nuera contra su suegra”.  NTV
Luego la línea "Wipe the tears from your eyes" es de Apocalipsis(21:4): "He will wipe every tear from their eyes..."
La frase "We eat and drink while tomorrow they die" viene de (I Cor 15:32) "If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."
How long, O LORD, how long?" → “Mi corazón está angustiado; ¿cuánto falta, oh Señor, para que me restaures” y en el (Sal94:3) "How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked be jubilant?" →”Hasta cuando, SEÑOR?  ¡Hasta cuándo los perversos tendrán permiso para regodearse? o bien es muy buen ejemplo el de (Ha 1:2): "How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save?" → “Hasta cuándo debo pedir ayuda, oh SEÑOR? ¡Pero tú no escuchas!
When the Streets Have No Name
Aquí también hay bastante, "We're beaten and blown by the wind" es de (Sn 1:6: "But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind." Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city." Y en el 22:21 "The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass."
I Still Haven´t Found What I´m Looking For
Este himno no podía quedarse fuera : "I have spoken with the tongue of angels" de (1Cor13:1): "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal." En la versión del Rattle and Hum encuentras la línea: "He'll be your shelter from the storm" del (Sal55:8): "I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm."
Pride
El "One man washed on an empty beach" me parece que pudiera tratarse del momento en que Jonas sea escupido por el gran pez (Jon2:10): "Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit up Jonah on the beach, and it did." Y por último pero no menos importante la de "One man come he to justify" es claramente de (Is 53:11) "my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities."
Please
Aquí Bono canta “Your sermón on the mount” no se requiere mayor explicación (Lc 6:20-26).
Beatiful Day
En "The heart is a bloom/shoots up through the stony ground" la ubicas en (Is 53:2): "He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground."
Ahora la "See the bird with the leaf in her mouth" es de (Gen8:10-11):  [Noe] waited seven days more and again sent the dove out from the ark. In the evening the dove came back to him, and there in its bill was a plucked-off olive leaf! So Noah knew that the waters had lessened on the earth." → “Después de esperar otros siete días, Noé volvió a soltar la paloma; esta vez la paloma regresó a él por la tarde con una hoja de olivo fresca en su pico. Entonces Noé supo que las aguas del diluvio se habían retirado casi por completo” NTV.
The Wanderer
Comenzamos con la línea que dice "Through streets paved with gold" -- Revelation 21:21: "The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass."
Luego en "Who would sit at his Father's right hand" está en (Mt 26:64): "'Yes, it is as you say,' Jesus replied. 'But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.'"
Ecclesiastes 11:9: "Rejoice, O young man, while you are young, and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart, the vision of your eyes; yet understand as regards all this God will bring you to judgment."
Have you come here for forgiveness? Have you come to raise the dead? Have you come here to play Jesus?
One
¿Está mejorando? Is it getting better? ¿O sientes lo mismo? Or do you feel the same? ¿Te lo hará más fácil ahora? Will it make it easier on you now? tienes a alguien a quien culpar You got someone to blame
Dices, un amor, una vida You say, one love, one life Cuando es una necesidad en la noche When it's one need in the night Un amor, podemos compartirlo One love, we get to share it Te deja bebé si no te importa Leaves you baby if you don't care for it
¿Te decepcioné? Did I disappoint you? ¿O dejar un mal sabor de boca? Or leave a bad taste in your mouth? Actúas como si nunca hubieras tenido amor You act like you never had love Y quieres que me vaya sin And you want me to go without
Bueno, es demasiado tarde esta noche Well it's too late tonight Para arrastrar el pasado a la luz To drag the past out into the light Somos uno pero no somos lo mismo We're one but we're not the same Llegamos a llevarnos unos a otros, llevarnos unos a otros We get to carry each other, carry each other ¡Uno! One!
¿Has venido aquí por el perdón? Have you come here for forgiveness? ¿Has venido a resucitar a los muertos? Have you come to raise the dead? ¿Has venido aquí a jugar a Jesús? Have you come here to play Jesus? A los leprosos en tu cabeza To the lepers in your head
¿Pedí demasiado? Did I ask too much? Más que mucho More than a lot No me diste nada ahora es todo lo que tengo You gave me nothin' now it's all I got Somos uno pero no somos lo mismo We're one but we're not the same Bueno, nos lastimamos y luego lo hacemos de nuevo. Well we hurt each other then we do it again
Dices que el amor es un templo, el amor una ley superior You say love is a temple, love a higher law El amor es un templo, ama la ley superior Love is a temple, love the higher law Me pides que entre pero luego me haces gatear You ask me to enter but then you make me crawl Y no puedo estar aguantando lo que tienes And I can't be holdin' on to what you got Cuando todo lo que tienes está herido When all you got is hurt
Un amor, una sangre One love, one blood Una vida, tienes que hacer lo que debes One life, you got to do what you should Una vida, el uno con el otro One life, with each other hermanas, hermanos Sisters, brothers
Una vida pero no somos iguales One life but we're not the same Llegamos a llevarnos unos a otros, llevarnos unos a otros We get to carry each other, carry each other Uno One

Jean Simmons and Dirk Bogarde in So Long at the Fair (Antony Darnborough, Terence Fisher, 1950)
Cast: Jean Simmons, Dirk Bogarde, David Tomlinson, Honor Blackman, Felix Aylmer, Cathleen Nesbitt, Betty Warren, Marcel Poncin, Austin Trevor, André Morell, Zena Marshall, Eugene Deckers. Screenplay: Hugh Mills, Anthony Thorne, based on a novel by Thorne. Cinematography: Reginald H. Wyer. Art direction: Cedric Dawe, George Provis. Film editing: Gordon Hales. Music: Benjamin Frankel.
They might have called it The Gentleman Vanishes. Jean Simmons and David Tomlinson play Vicky and Johnny Barton, sister and brother, whose travels around Europe take them to Paris for the 1889 Paris Exposition, the event that saw the opening of the Eiffel Tower. After seeing a bit of the city on their first night there, Vicky retires to her hotel room while Johnny, feeling tired, stays downstairs to have a nightcap. In the morning, Johnny has vanished. Not only that, the room where he was staying has vanished too. The hotel staff denies that he was ever there, and moreover asserts that the room where he was staying, No. 19, has never existed: The only room 19 is a bathroom. The manager of the hotel, Mme. Hervé (Cathleen Nesbitt), whom we saw check the Bartons in the night before, insists that only Vicky checked in and shows her the registry that only she signed. And so begins Vicky's harrowing attempt not only to find her brother but also to prove that she's not insane. So Long at the Fair is a mostly engaging variation on the gaslighting theme that evokes the similar, though less complex, disappearance of Miss Froy in Alfred Hitchcock's 1938 The Lady Vanishes, though it's not in the same league as Hitchcock's classic. This version is a little too complicated for its own good: It's hard to ignore the many implausibilities of the scheme that's revealed at the end, and the accidental death of a witness who might have prematurely exposed the scheme feels like a contrivance to keep the plot going. But there's still enough fun in trying to figure things out, and the performances are good. Simmons gives full expression to both Vicky's bewilderment and her determination as she deals with uncomprehending authorities, and Dirk Bogarde is handsomely dashing as the expatriate artist who comes to her aid.

“Get a room, Coach!”
as we dream by the fire
Even with his eyes closed, David is aware of the flames dancing, the shifting light flickering gold in the darkness across the back of his eyelids.
H(e)art Trophy
Patrick chucks his phone onto the hotel bed, watching it land on the pristinely tucked sheets before pinching the bridge of his nose.
the way that you are with me
There’s an honesty in physical contact, David has realized.
ask me just how much I love you
“So, you’re like, morally opposed then?” David asks, as he tucks the fitted sheet over the corner of the mattress.
here, at the end of the world
“David?”
this one means the most to me
This doesn't feel like a first date.
gathered here today
“Thanks for being here today.”
Petal & Thorn
Patrick takes a deep breath as he reaches for the handle and pulls the heavy black door toward him.
breakaway
David paces along the teal floor tiles of the otherwise various-shades-of-white waiting room, turning on his heel to retrace the same path he’s been following for the last however long it has been.

Is this a video about Breadtube? Is it a reaction video to Philosophy Tube / Abigail Thorn and her video about coming out as trans? Is it a reaction video to myself? Is there such a thing as objectivity? Is there hope for joy in the wake of postmodernism? Can YouTubers really fill the role of educators? If not, can I still join in the party of making fun of conservative nonsense from Ben Shapiro and PragerU? Please?
Watch to find out! Then tell us because we have no idea.

False and True Discipleship
Tumblr media
13 “Go in through the narrow gate; for the gate that leads to destruction is wide and the road broad, and many travel it; 14 but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 “Beware of the false prophets! They come to you wearing sheep’s clothing, but underneath they are hungry wolves! 16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Can people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every healthy tree produces good fruit, but a poor tree produces bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, or a poor tree good fruit. 19 Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire! 20 So you will recognize them by their fruit.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24 “So, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on bedrock. 25 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the wind blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed — and its collapse was horrendous!”
28 When Yeshua had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at the way he taught, 29 for he was not instructing them like their Torah-teachers but as one who had authority himself. — Matthew 7:13-29 | Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) Complete Jewish Bible Copyright © 1998 by David H. Shalom y'all! Thought I'd do a comparison of the original cover art & the edit I made of it to go with my remix. It was A LOT of work, but I fell in love with the results. I'll also share some of that the meaning is in the symbolism I used for my edit.
I edited the photo to show a faint, almost ghost-like form of Taylor on the couch, but instead of her looking towards the lamp that was on a stand next to her, I replaced the lamp with a couple books. I enhanced the highlight around these books to emphasize their importance here. Why? Because these are no ordinary books, but the Light that King David spoke of; "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, & a Light unto my path"; they're holy books. The one on the bottom is an Artscroll edition of the Hebrew Tanakh (Jewish Bible, more or less), opened to Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) 11:9-10, where it reads: "Young person, if you spend your youth only having fun, if you use your early years just to entertain yourself, if you follow your heart as you live your life, and let your eyes be your guide; understand that for all these things God will bring you to judgment. Therefore, remove anger from your heart; and keep from harming your body; for neither adolescence nor youth has any lasting value." The top book is the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible), translated by David H. Stern, opened to Matisyahu (Matthew) 13:22 refering to the Parable of the Sower; "Now the seed sown among thorns stands for someone who hears the message, but it is choked by the worries of the world and the deceitful glamor of wealth, so that it produces nothing."
The title at the top right, "He Said," isn't a direct translation of the Hebrew next to it. The Hebrew, ויאמר (read right to left as "vayomer") means "and spoke"/"thus spoke," from Bereshit (Genesis) 1:3, "And the L-rd said "Let there be Light," which is how I start the song. At the bottom, a caption of 13 words; "Someday, when we leave this world, the fame & wealth won't follow us," a stark contrast to the original light hearted caption. Finally, my countersign is visible in the upper left corner of the image, a Hebrew-to-English transliteration with more than one hidden meaning...
My reasons for making both the songs message & the representative art cover much more serious in tone, is to reflect a more sobering thought & understanding. This world, it isn't enough, nor are the pleasures in it enduring, tho pure pleasure is sweet & long lasting, even in memory, & that is G-d's blessing. However, if we really want to taste of the sweetness that never ends, such does exist; there are thing persons & places s that last eternally, & fixed on them, or rather, on Him, are all things. This is why the shadows of my edited art are darker, but the highlights brighter, than the original; ultimately, there is only one who has conquered death. Let's join him, Yeshua haMoshiach, & overcome even sin & death, in Moshiach, &, thru him, in The Father, YHVH.
