went slightly backwards in time today for the Mostly Chronological Great Wicked Watch to watch the March 13 2008 broadway performance with SJB and AA and some important developments:

David Burnham is HANDS DOWN the hottest, best-dancingest, most charismatic Fiyero i've seen so far, he's the first one where you GET IT because he shows up on campus and your first reaction is 👀 WHO IS THAT and also he has wonderful dimples

I didn't love Miriam Margolyes' Morrible because she Literally Doesn't Sing B U T she made up for that by violently grabbing Glinda's wrist during "now you listen to me, missy," twisting it for the rest of their exchange, and then PUPPETING HER into "smile and wave" to literally wave it was. so delightfully disturbing A++

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY - S5E8 Labyrinths

Whenever I get hyperfixated on a show or podcast or whatever, I like to commemorate it by making one of these weird bad embroideries and hanging it on what I call my Wall of Hyperfixations.

I'm not good at embroidery, and I don't really care to be. It's just a silly, fun thing I do while I watch my favorite shows, and it makes me happy.

Remember kids, it's okay to be bad at something and do it anyway because it brings you joy.

Kovich: Evidence of the Progenitors was first uncovered 800 years ago, by a Starfleet captain named Jean-Luc Picard--

Burnham: Wait, the guy who fucked my dad?

Kovich: ???

Burnham: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was reading about Sarek's life after I left for the future, and apparently, he had to mindmeld with this guy after he contracted Bendii Syndrome, and he spent the last few years of his life, like, katrically bonded to him.

Kovich: I see. Well, he was considered to be one of the foremost diplomats of the 24th century. Now, if we could return to the matter at hand--

Burnham: I think he also recorded my brother's Unification speech.

Kovich: ...

Burnham: Like that big speech he gave talking about how he was going to reunite the Vulcans and the Romulans.

Kovich: An interesting coincidence. Anyway, these Progenitors are considered to have engineered all humanoid life throughout the Milky Way--

Burnham: And wait, wasn't he the guy who modelled the mind-uploading process Dr. Culber used on Grey last year?

Kovich: Captain Burnham, I'm going to need you to focus up.

Burnham: Okay, sorry, you have my complete attention.

Kovich: Anyways, your next mission will take you to a Promellian graveyard planet. Now, the Promellian are an extinct civilization--

Burnham: Were they discovered by Jean-Luc Picard?

Kovich: ...No.

Burnham: Okay, good. I was starting to worry--

Kovich: But he *did* discover the most complete known specimen of one of their battle cruisers.

Burnham: Damn it!

Hiding behind a wall may calm your fears, but it won’t keep you safe. The void will eventually reach you. We all live in the same space. This is all there is. On my home, we had an organism: The World Root. It connected all life on Kwejian. Wherever we lived, whatever village or continent, it reminded us we were all on the same planet. Our fates are always interconnected. Maybe that’s the lesson, if there is one - that is true of all of us. We’ve lost so many, you and me, but we can’t do harm in their names or memories. We have to honour them. All of them… because they were beloved. Beautiful.
