Yeaaaah I took a further look into that blog and was like Karkat kanaya is fine I guess? Idk they aren't really siblings but they have sibling/maternal vibes so I personally wouldn't go there (idk if it's different in the comics it's been years since I've read them so correct me if I'm wrong) but then I saw Dave rose and was like "Uh oh!". Whatever ppl can do what they want ig I'm not gonna kick up a storm over it tho. It's the price for being on the internet

Much like the ones in the picture above! I’ve got one more that’s almost finished being made who needs a good home!  Sooooo I thought it would be kind of fun to hold a little Homestuck art/creativity contest And the first place winner will get the little guy! 

Now lately I’ve seen some people making up OC’s that are the children of ships that they love and in all honesty I always like to see those! Hell I have a few characters like that of my own even! 

So that’s going to be the theme of this contest! To enter you need to either make or enter an already made OC that is supposed to be the child of one of your favorite Homestuck Pairings! (this is for CanonXCanon pairings btw.)

If you hope to win though I’ll need more then just a drawing, so don’t worry if you don’t think your art skills are good enough, i’m looking for more then just that here!  I love OC’s. But in order to really like an OC you gotta be able to get to know them, not just see a picture of them! I want to read about your character along with their picture! General information, Likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests, fears and insecurities. What’s their family life like? What are some things that have happened to them? Who are their friends? etc etc. Anything you can think of from lists of random info to short little stories to little clips of dialog even! Now obviously you don’t have to give me ALL that information that was all just suggestions of things you could put, but I want to get to know your character is all i’m saying!  -------

In the world of Homestuck Ectobiology does exist making it possible for MalexMale, FemalexFemale and HumanxTroll pairings to have biological kids so don’t worry if the ship you want to use are any of those because in that universe it is possible!

Now for a couple of quick rules though:

1. Please nothing sexual in the artwork itself. If you want to talk about anything relating to their sex life in the bio writing feel free to (though please nothing to graphic)  but please just put a warning at the top that there is sexual stuff in it.

2. Please put all the bio writing in typing under the picture rather then written on the picture itself! I don’t have the greatest eyesight and hand writing is usually more difficult to read then typing.

3. Absolutely NO being mean to or causing trouble for someone else who enters because you don’t like the ship they picked or really for any reason at all.

Now I definitely am not going to let my personal preference for certain ships effect my judging, it’s the OC i’m judging not the ships. And i’ll probably be getting a couple of friends to help pick the winners with me anyway, but there is one thing. Now I feel really bad for this but, there are a few ships that I...am not going to ban you from using but I want to HIGHLY advise against using for this, because these few are ships that straight up make me really uncomfortable and probably will effect my judging and I don’t that to happen.

And those ships would be any of the incest ships. AKA: DavexDirk  DavexBro DavexRose DavexRoxy RosexRoxy JohnxJade JohnxJake JadexJake RosexMom JohnxDad JohnxJane....you get the picture. (probably didn’t need to type them all out I know)

Now if you really like any of those ships that is Perfectly okay!! I have no problem with other people liking them and shipping them at all absolutely go right ahead and ship anything you like!! I just Personally am uncomfortable with them is all! So Like I said, i’m not banning any of those from being used in this contest, but I would definitely advise against it. 

----------- Now for Prizes!!

Obviously first place will be the grub plushie! I’ll also draw a sketch picture of your entered OC as well!

Second place will get a full colored request drawing! And it doesn’t have to be Homestuck if you don’t want. (i’ll send my general request guide lines to the winner when they’re picked)

And Third place will get a full color drawing of their entered OC!

As for everyone else, if i’m not a total lazy butt I was thinking I’d probably draw sketches of all the other entry characters as well! Depending on how many entries this gets though and how busy life is it may or may not happen. Or could potentially take a lot of time. Still though, I’d like to do that for sure!

At that point I wont accept any more people entering and those who have already asked to enter who haven’t submitted their entry yet will have one more week to do so before the judging begins and the winners are chosen!

Status update, I had a strange dream and it made me ship Rose and Dave. I never felt a real urge to ship them until now. If Rose wasn't written terribly in Act 6 she could have shaped that boy up. Dave<3Rose is better than Davekat

Which is from this page 1643 here. Right before Dave travels back in time to stop John and become Davesprite. Mentioning that they haven't learned they were brother and sisters yet in that doomed timeline and "something" happened between them, gives some implications knowing Hussie's line of trolling and edgey humor. So yeah, Davesprite had to leave his sister/lover behind, knows that her existence would cease to become the new Rose without remembering their time together. And finding out they were siblings in the new timeline, he probably felt confused about himself. He tried to make Jade happy to not lose his mind, but broke up because he can't be the real Dave. And now he is faking a smile by having to be fused with Nepeta. Nepeta probably has seen through his memories of that doomed timeline and him fucking Rose. She probably sees nothing wrong with it, as incest is a common thing in Alternia. But to Davesprite, it is a taboo and seen with disgust. And now after beating the big bad, he gets trapped in some weird place and has to ask the spider8tich for help in Beyond Canon. Davesprite's life sucks and I feel so sorry for him.
