uhhh yeah so this is Bedelia, she's a pc i havent used in a while

essentially, she's the worst. Manipulative, sadistic and amoral. While growing up she was heavily disliked at the orphanage for her lack of empathy and tendency to be insensitive. She has, however, learnt to reel in these traits so that she can gain favours with people she needs to in order to achieve her goals.

Over her time in the town, she's grown increasingly horrible and tends to make most that try to get closer to her in a non sexual way feel extremely uncomfortable and goes out of her way to cut ties with them. The only people she regularly hangs out with are Will (they're across the hall from each other and their paths home intersect) and Kylar (who she enjoys putting into situations where the other will get bullied purely so she can see Kylar's reaction and further develop that dependence/obsession that they have on the pc.)

She is capable of being nice and relatively normal, just usually doesn't care enough and is mainly intent on finishing her jobs and getting the fuck out of dolville, she is completely willing to use people as stepping stones and harm them so she can escape. Thus she keeps to herself when it comes to people she deems useless or irrelevant.

There's no good way to really describe her personality since it's hard to see if she has one at all considering the way she acts is purely circumstantial.

Will and herself are a... complicated duo because they're essentially opposites (angel v demon, kind v mean spirited) but somehow too similar to consider the other a 'stranger' (both have little to no attachments to the town, a bigger goal, are manipulative, selfish, have complicated feelings regarding sex etc). No feelings are set in stone here sand are always susceptible to change.

Bedelia's childhood is a touchy subject.

I was trying to process the Neil Gaiman situation into a shape that didn't hurt my brain too much, and accidentally formulated the phrase "He's the Other Mother of social justice tumblr."

Now I'm kinda' distracted by how catchy that sounds.

To clarify, it's because he was really good at fulfilling the fantasy of an idealogically pure cinnamon roll. I think we should work to be a lot more accepting of people who can't do that, and little more suspicious of people who can.

It's actually safer to accept people who don't conform perfectly to our highest standards. People Too Good To Be True are sometimes telling the whole story, but usually not.
