"A heroic spirit has taken the form of this bestial dragon. Unlike it's kin, this creature exhibits an extremely aggressive disposition. It appears highly territorial, and will relentlessly chase down those who disturb its skywide patrols - of which it seems to be endlessly searching for either a long-time vassal or foe. Unfortunately, it seems the spirit within has long since forgotten exactly who it was looking for…"

Honrses

#!!!!#oh no that's perfect#I don't know if you've noticed but I've included medieval unicorn imagery in a few Machete pieces#most notably there's a pair of them carved in the headboard of his canopy bed#lowkey trying to establish it as a recurring motif#and not only is Vasco fittingly gold colored#whenever I'm drawing him his face shape consistently reminds me of a lion#his muzzle is similarly wide and boxy#and he has lighter undereyes and dark rounded eyebrows#irl Vaschete sightings#answered#infector-insector#this would fit their historical setting pretty well too#both unicorns and lions are classic heraldic beasts and have significant presence in western european art and symbolism

BG3 Comic: The Last Unicorn
Be Forewarned: Dark Urge Spoilers
This comic was inspired by the excellent idea of using The Last Unicorn dialogue for Astarion’s story from @fangsandfeels and the lovely comic made by @solmesia depicting it. You can see the original post here and the comic here.
When I read the original idea I thought that this also potentially works in reverse for a redemption Dark Urge who is horrified by their monstrousness. I did edit and add to the original dialogue for my own purposes.
(Also I really think it would have been cool if slayer form worked more like an uncontrollable werewolf-like curse rather than a gift you have to seek out.)
