(i unfortunately have read it several times and annotated it rip) -also RE armand being afraid of him like the physical violence on top of the csa like the physical abuse is just as bad like truly: "he approached me and i shrank back, actually afraid. but by the time he struck me, hard across the face, he'd recovered himself, and it was just the usual brain-jarring blow." FREE THIS CHILD -also in his book in the part set in renaissance venice there's a girl who's in marius and armand's friend group who ends up sort of involved in a murder (simplifying lol) and marius is on his high horse with her about how morally bankrupt and awful she's being to be involved in something like that and they're arguing in front of armand and she says to marius "no, you cannot judge me! a magician you might be, but you are no angel, marius. not you with your boys." and i think it's the only time in the books anyone explicitly calls him out like that -also fuck him for knowing full well what happened to armand RE getting taken from venice, tortured, being forced to watch the other children get killed, and then getting stuck in a literal cult for several hundred years and just choosing not to help him. die in a fire, marius. no wonder this guy is such a mess. -anyway fuck that asshole thank you for coming to my ted talk lol

...I am now convinced that the marius defenders (those hardcore fans that hijack posts to tell you you are close minded, to put it politely. you've met one of those?) have read a completely different book.

Elle stood up straight before him, shoulders back, chin tilted up high, face determined and eyes locked with his in what Jason had long come to think of her “battle princess mode.”

She was also blushing, which was new.

Jason met her gaze levelly, arms crossed across his chest as he waited for her to break the silence and say what she was going to say. Behind her Jazz peered out from the edge of the door to the kitchen, doing her best to smother her smile in case Elle turned back to look at her. The fourteen year old hellion could be an absolute nightmare if she thought they were teasing her - especially when it came to matters involving her crushes on Damian and Jon.

“Bruce got invited to a wedding to some socialite he knows.”

He raised his brow at her. “Okay.”

“And he’s making Day go with him.”

His brow twitched higher. “And?”

“And Day asked me and Jolly to go with him so he won't be bored out of his mind.”

He watched, fighting a smile - Jazz, his wonderful wife, was not helping as she silently awed behind her little sister - as the red on Elle’s cheeks spread across her nose.

“There’s going to be dancing.”

He could see where this was going, but he was - at the end of the day - an older brother first and foremost. He allowed his brow to tick even higher at her. Tilting his head to imply he wasn’t sure where she was going with all this.

Somehow, her face grew even more red.

“I don’t know how to dance.”

There was a long moment of silence as they stared each other down.

“So are you going to ask me to teach you? Or are you just gonna keep trying to set me on fire with your mind.”

Elle couldn’t be more red if he’d dunked her in bucket of paint. “Fine. Will you please teach me how to dance?”

He let his arms drop from before him, reaching out with a warm smile to ruffle her hair - and she really must want him to teach her since she didn’t even bat his hands away. "Sure thing, kid. Can’t let those stuffy assholes think the Nightingales don’t know how to cut a rug. Come on, help me move the couch so we have some room.”

I don't debate who would've won when Terry was about to throw hands with Robby at the S4 AVT, because the image of The Terry Silver consistently feeling threatened enough by this three apples tall ball of childhood neglect and anger issues, to treat him the same as his main adult enemies (squaring up, making a point of laughing him off like "look how not threatened I am by you") is too hilarious to be a practical question.

In the story of Terry Silver, his biggest adversaries are a middle-aged New Jersey-Italian twunk, a barely functioning alcoholic, his own repressed homosexuality, a man who would rather go on a revenge quest on another continent for his old twink fling than confess his feelings for a woman, and a Literal Teenage Boy

Anyone else thinking about a late 70s/80s era where a severely relapsing louis seeks out a daniel whose addiction has just gotten worse post-interview, featuring the worst bender in vampire and human recent history intermingled with a truly toxic and codependent romance... and of course who's there, with mop and mindlessness, to clean it up... by erasing their memories once again...

FTWDs final season could have been so much better if it was revealed that Troy was running padre and controlling madison (as revenge) this whole time. He knew enough about nick and Alicia to make madison think padre knew who and where they were this whole time. And here are some other reasons how this storyline would make sense and be more interesting:

- Troy has a military background so him taking over and running a military base makes more sense than two teenagers building it up by themselves because all the adults died.

- taking and training up children to be solidiers also would make a little sense because of his own fucked up upbringing and the idea he has of the type of people who were made for this world. He would have probably had the same idea as shrike, that the kids stood a better chance at padre than with their “weak” parents. The mother of his child dying for being a good person and not getting to raise their daughter (who would not be named after his abuser) could have also played into this idea of the kids being separated from their good parents.

- shrikes radiation cure experiments: Troy ran walker bite experiments before, just to see how people would turn. So it would also make sense if the work we see shrike doing was something he approved of or an idea he himself came up with. As for shrike, it would make sense that she turned out this way if she’d spent years being mentored by someone like troy otto instead of becoming evil and stealing children just because her dad died.

- the scene where madison smashes the glass to expose “padre” would have been such a good and shocking reveal if it was Troy. Imagine Madison finding out that Troy is not only alive but had been the one running this the whole time!

There’s also a lot of other things I would have done differently for the other characters too and I would have liked Madison to have a little villain era and do some really fucked up shit as she tries to take down Troy and padre. How dark would Madison go? Would she survive with her humanity still intact?

I know I’m just talking into the void here because no one care about this shitshow but I just hate it when shows have a plot that could have been good, maybe even great but then completely miss the mark and fans come with better theories and ideas with minimal effort and thought.

me, when I write the most angst yearning moment between Louis and Daniel (as if they're not discussing that Armand is Daniel's soulmate but Louis' companion of over twenty years):
