Ian Machado Garry stops Daniel Rodriguez in the 1st!

Test passed with flying colors. Garry decimates D-Rod for the early finish in this one. After early attempts to pressure was countered by a couple of hard right hands, D-Rod was caught out at range. Garry was pulling, letting Rodriguez walk onto those strikes and then providing the power to dissaude pressure. He did a good job circling to the center of the cage. The one time he did allow Rodriguez to walk him back, he circled kicked circled and clinched before turning Rodriguez and going back to the center. But the head kicks were money in this one. Those open guard head kicks are deadly. Rodriguez ate a couple but once he was caught out in space and was stuck reacting to what Garry, it was only a matter of time. Ate one flush in the center of the cage. Sent him back and down and Garry gets on him til the ref stops the fight.

Honestly, a little disappointed. I was really hoping D-Rod would push Garry. Force him to adapt midfight. Expose an element of his game we don’t know about. Nope. Garry just went out and collected a clean win.

Then he calls out Neil Magny. Which I’m 100% down for. If anyone is going to get us a different look out of Garry, it’ll be Magny.

Token Mithrandir paso por Radio FAM

Ulises Barreiro (CEO) y Daniel Rodriguez (CTO) ambos de Token Mithrandir en los estudios de Radio FAM.

Este 2024, el equipo directivo del proyecto Token Mithrandir, viene recorriendo diversos medios de comunicación, tanto gráficos como radiales, motivo por el cual aceptaron la invitación realizada por Radio FAM para ir a sus estudios y poder estar compartiendo junto a la audiencia federal que esta emisora tiene, dado que es la Radio de la Federación de municipios de Argentina. Cuya audiencia recorre toda la República Argentina por diversas FM retransmisoras y de manera on-line. 

Tiene sus estudios centrales en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, y luego estudios móviles en diversas provincias donde acompañan a variados eventos entre ellos los relacionados a temas de tecnología. De esta manera Daniel Felipe Rodriguez el CTO de Token Mithrandir y Ulises Barreiro el CEO de Token Mithrandir estuvieron presentes en los estudios de Radio FAM, conversando sobre diversos temas como blockchain, el ecosistema de CARDANO, y el proyecto Token Mithrandir y sus actividades dentro de Argentina. Token Mithrandir además regaló algunos de sus NFTs a oyentes que se comunicaron con la producción, de esta manera vemos el impacto real que está teniendo Token Mithrandir a nivel Federal en Argentina. 

Entre los variados temas, se conversó sobre las ciudades del futuro, cómo será el aspecto de las ciudades en 50 años, y cómo estos ciudadanos están usando las energías renovables y el uso de blockchain en sus vidas.  Dado que ante el vertiginoso crecimiento demográfico, solo blockchain podrá regular la vida de los humanos y casi todas sus relaciones sociales, coincidieron tanto el CTO y el CEO de Token Mithrandir.

Ian Machado Garry vs Daniel Rodriguez

While public perception of Ian Machado Garry (13-0) seems to be turning negative (personally think the guy is just kind of annoying but not really offensive), he continues to show significant growth from fight to fight. Part of that, I think, just has to do with his team matching him up well. Neil Magny, D-Rod, and Kenan Song while all very credible wins for emerging prospects, they all do have limitations that play well into Garry's style of kickboxing.

I think that also explains why he's facing off with Geoff Neal (15-5) next. While Neal is a more 'dangerous' striker than anyone Garry has faced up to this point, he's got a bad track record with the long rangy strikers at welterweight. Particularly Wonderboy, who is probably most analogous to Garry amongst Neal's former opponents.

Garry and Neal face off at UFC 298 this Saturday (Feb. 17).

i read some of the marvel cinematic universe guidebook that includes agents of shield seasons 1-4 and both seasons of agent carter, so i though i would share some fun facts i found through reading. i see y'all like my fun fact posts, and i like making them, so i decided to make another one :)

fitz and simmons were sci-tech class of 2004.

According to the Guidebook, fitz was 16 when he met Simmons who was 18 at sci-tech. I feel like this is wrong?? I didn’t think they had a two-year gap I honestly thought they were born the same year.

Skye was dropped off at st. Agnes on April 23, 1989, which the nuns used as her birthday. 

Sousa must be obsessed with horses, horse races, or just betting in general. He is seen betting (or trying to bet) on horse races in BOTH seasons of Agent Carter and in season 2 has a horse figurine on his desk.

Sousa was born in Twin Falls, Idaho but grew up in Brooklyn (he was in the Brooklyn Boy Scouts ofc).

Maybe they had a horse farm in Idaho? That could be why he likes horses. this point is just me speculating, the guidebook said nothing about him growing up.

Hunter calls Daisy and Lincoln “Shake and Bake” (I knew this before, but i honestly find this so funny so I included it)

According to the Guidebook of the MCU, Lincoln was “apparently” k*lled alongside Hive. girl why apparently….like was he supposed to make a return somehow???

Hunter’s dad was a police officer from Kent, England.

The only person Mack said was allowed to call him “Alphie” was his mom, but his brother called him the nickname throughout childhood to tease him.

Mack also tried to sell his brother to a roadside stand when they were kids. 

May scouted Bobbi at the academy & said that she was the strongest recruit she’d ever seen. 

In the comics, Daisy dated James, known as Hellfire. He appears in s4 but they do not have any feelings toward each other (thank goodness that didn’t happen)

The fact sheet for s4 Fitz says "When nervous, Fitz's eyes bug out" and it made me laugh

Mack has a special insurance policy in case of "d**th by robot"

i think my least favorite thing about the later seasons of criminal minds is that they brought back unsubs that weren’t particularly interesting or popular.

like, bringing back lindsey vaughn was weird, albeit somewhat justifiable because it was a minor storyline after spencer saw her dad shoot someone in front of her. but at least her episode with cat was cool, it was a great wrap-up to the hell that season 12 was for spencer.

but the chameleon? having him be the final boss of the show? maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but he wasn’t an interesting enough character to have come back MULTIPLE times, especially not in the way he was.

and don’t even get me started on the 300th episode.

an unsub i would’ve LOVED to see come back is nathan harris, the kid who came up to spencer in the metro station asking about his homicidal urges. obviously this actor tragically passed away in a freak accident in 2016, so a comeback was impossible, but it would have been cool if the writers had been able brought him up in some way.

does anyone else know what i mean?

What the AoS characters would dress up for Halloween, according to me (aka the biggest expert on AoS frfr):

Coulson: Captain America. But not just a cheap Party City Cap, oh no no, he makes that thing from SCRATCH. Studies the outfit day and night to ensure it is 100% accurate

Daisy: Likes to do geeky things from old 80s movies, although Veronica Sawyer is always a favorite with hers

May: Nothing, and so when people ask what she is, she says "the epitome of late-stage capitalism"

Fitz: Couples' costume w/Simmons (she insisted), he's the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. That, or a monkey jumpsuit he's had since he was a teenager and still somehow fits

Simmons: Couples' costume w/Fitz, the bread and hint of pesto aioli. Or a DNA strand

Deke: Han Solo. He goes as Han Solo almost all the time, and the times he doesn't it's something from a Disney flick

Elena: Believes that dressing up is stupid, never really understood it, so she'll throw on a black shirt and leggings and claim she's a cat

Mack: Would never admit it, but he LOVES Halloween. He never plans his costumes in advance, but he always has something in stock, just in case a costume doesn't work out. Joins Deke as being a Disney character often

Sousa: Classic of the classics. Vampire, werewolf, you name it
