Lady Chatterley's Lover definitely my favourite styling, got that colour popping 💗 Summer and the warm weather always makes me want to dress in this kind of delicate and detailed hear, just swanning about the place

This lovely costume was first seen on Claire Foy as Helen Bentwich in the 2014 mini-series, The Great War: The People’s Story. The costume was recycled the same year when Daisy Waterstone wore it as Clare Leighton in the film Testament of Youth. In 2022 it was spotted again on Emma Corrin as Connie Reid in Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Lifted my self-imposed book buying ban and went to Waterstones 📚 I bought the two books on the right and got this amazing Daisy Jones bookmark that Waterstones were giving out!

Alexander and Daisy friendship headcanons:
Because they should interact more in the books.
-listen to Girl in Red together
- recommend crime books to each other and try not to spoil the endings
-(they will end up spoiling the endings)
- both really like clicky stim toys so borrow each others when they forget theirs
- text each other reminders bc they both have terrible memories for boring stuff like homework
- or sometimes they just accept that they're getting nothing done and procrastinate together
- watch TV adaptations of their favourite books and bitch about how terrible they are
- meet up at waterstones at opening time when a new book in a crime series they like comes out
-all this being said, Daisy still bullies him but more affectionately than before

you don't know how much tobey maguire lacked until you see sam waterston knock it out of the park like he's francisco lindor. god 1974 nick is everything to me...
-- @nick-carra-gay-for-gatsby
No literally like Nick doesn't try to hide behind some friendly mask in the book, he's sardonic and dry and disapproving and Sam just gets it. The rest of the movie is third-tier adaptation though :( Mostly due to scrapping the entire script Way Too Close to filming. There's a reason we have jay and daisy sitting in a room providing exposition for SEVERAL minutes at a time.

HP WWI OCs: Livia and Hestia Prewett
Livia and Hestia are sisters who attended Hogwarts at the beginning of the 20th century. Livia became a healer after graduation and Hestia felt it was unjust to leave all muggles to their own devices and joined efforts to secretly aid them during the war. They're born in 1892 and 1894 respectively.
I've seen everyone's awesome OCs for this era and I wanted to contribute, though these two are pretty minor OCs, really more like plot bunnies. So if you need to name drop some random Hogwarts classmates or you need a healer to show up, Livia and Hestia are more than happy to help!
I tried to find FCs who were not in use, at least not for this era but damn you guys have so many OCs that I got a bit overwhelmed. Let me know if you want me to change either of the FCs, I have other options😂❤
Charlotte Hope as Livia
Daisy Waterstone as Hestia

This beautiful green gown was first worn by Claire Foy in 2014 in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝑾𝒂𝒓: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆'𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚. It later appeared on Daisy Waterstone in 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 the same year. Hi Robin,
I have loved Murder Most unladylike since there was only one book published and a lady in Waterstones recommended it to me. I'd like to thank you for creating such wonderful characters and stories. Your books never fail to bring me comfort.
Do you have a favourite character? I'd probably have to say mine is Bertie because I see myself in him but I really like May too
Oh, this is so wonderful! Thank you!! I know I say it a lot, but I began to write my books as a comfort to myself during tough times. The world of MMU has always felt very safe to me, and it makes me feel so proud to know that I’ve been able to give that to my readers too.
I do love all my characters, but I think one who stands out (apart from Daisy and Hazel of course!) is George. I didn’t know what he was going to be like until I was writing the scene where Hazel meets him in Mistletoe and Murder - it felt like I was meeting him too! I just love him - he’s such a cool, clever character but a lot of the way he acts is very carefully constructed. You will see him again in The Body in the Blitz, and he might be my favourite cameo in the book!
